BEST math teacher i've ever had! hes very patient and very easy going. he's also the funniest math teacher ever! if you wear pink on his test days you get extra points. you dont really need to bring your text book to class because he does everything on the board. he reviews before tests and sometimes leaves everything up on the board.

He did not expect your prior math knowledge to be "out of this world" he reviews whatever the class NEEDS from him so that he can move forward without any delays. Great teacher. He taught me everything I was supposed to learn in 4 yrs. of high school in 4 months. I still use him for tutoring through to calculus. Gives partial credit for test problems you correct after test has been graded. He just wants you to learn. I learned a lot with him, and I am still learning from him.

He rewards up to 10 bonus points per exam just for having hw done by exam date. super helpful and very concerned with students ability to understand the chapter. if for some reason we are not ready for the exam on the date scheduled, he will push it back and take the time to review. gives plenty of time for hw to be submitted.

In an 8-week term, there are a total of 4 tests (plus the FINAL) that must be taken. The class lectures are in base of these tests, and most of the class revolves around them. Home work is given according to the upcoming exams, which range from 40-80 questions each. The class is not hard, but if possible, opt for a 10-12-week term vs. an 8-week one

Professor Rodriguez has been so far not only one of the best Professors that the college has, but a great math Professor. I took his class for a mini term (8WK) and I am not the best at math. Easy class. Gives study guide for quizzes and final. Final exam was multiple choice. If you do the study guide you should get a passing grade. No actual textbook used but we did have online homework.

He gives reviews for each one of them and they are literally the same as the exam but with different numbers. Also online homework. Prof carlos is super caring, fun, and his lectures are great. Good professor. Took him for the 6-week summer term all online. Only has 4 tests that are pretty simple as long as you do ALL the homework and show up to the lectures. Optional final. Hw is super easy and you get unlimited chances. The only complaint is that I got an 89 and he didn't round it. But overall GOOD math teacher.

I took his class virtually in Summer term. His lectures made math so much easier he would go over every topic in depth with many examples but also fast pace so keep up. Professor Rodriguez is the perfect math teacher for non science majors e.g. social workers and lawyers.All of the homework assignments( multiple attempts)combined equal one exam.There is also an optional final that cancels the lowest grade. As someone who was never good at math, I can honestly say that Prof. Rodriguez is the best math teacher I have had. His lectures are him guiding you through the MyMathLab practice test questions. As long as you take good notes and take your time on the practice tests (HW), you'll ace the tests with flying colors! Take him!!! You won't regret it!

Listen to all of the reviews and take this class! As someone who is not good at math at all, I was able to ace this class due to the simple explanations of Prof Rodriguez. Be prepared to take notes for the quizzes which are not difficult, but notes will be helpful to refresh your memory.

Great Professor! You have 8 modules, 3 tests, a final review & final, all done on ALEKS. Sometimes the explanations provided by ALEKS are very complicated. So, please ask the Professor for help! He will explain it to you in his own format (short, simple, to the point & very easy to understand). I wish he would teach MAC1105!

I got to know Prof. Rodriguez for two terms, I took MAT57 and MAT33 with him. I'm thankful for everything he taught me and the patience he had with me. If you have never used ALEKS before, it can be hard to get used to the modality at first. Please try your best to understand the material and do well in the tests.
