Sandoval is great. He helped out a lot and he let us out early all the time. Take him, and make sure to do well on the Essay worth 50 points- it lifts your grade up a ton.

Natural Born Teacher. Knows how to relate to students and how to relate material to them. Many chances to lift grade if needed. Lots of extra credit. Reads the pace of class very well and slows down so everyone can learn. Very fun class as well, he is awesome! Id take this class again just for fun

fun teacher. easy going. NOT too difficult and later on in the course a lot of teachers like to pile it on but he actually helped out by starting to supply study guides. ALSO theres required reading but i was able to pass with a B by just reading the summary at the end of the chapters.

Sandoval is an excellent teacher. He lectures well covering the important topics for the tests. I tell people to take his classes if they are considering Psychology, I have taken two of them. He is easy to listen to and has fun classes. He doesn't offer much extra credit but if you read the chapters and take good notes you can get a good grade.

Sandoval is a fun teacher. You'll be laughing throughout the whole lecture. He tries to relate psychology to you, making it easier to learn. Just show up to class and you'll be okay.

He is an effective instructor! Lots of reading and note taking. If you take his evening class, he is pretty flexible and lets us out pretty early as long as the lecture is complete. Funny guy, keeps interest in the topic.

Mr. Sandoval is an awesome teacher. He's way laid back but still pushes the students enough that you don't just slack off.

this teacher makes it easy on u. to get a good grade, just take good notes and try to write down one of his example, because those examples tend to come out on tests similarly. his lectures are funny, he cusses here n there which makes you laugh. cool class for sure.

Easy A class as long as you do the study guide provided for each test. Not a lot of points in the class so keep up on the reading for the quiz he gives about every two weeks. 1st quiz is on the syllabus and there were not a lot of notes.

Psychology is always the fun class to be in, and Mr. Sandoval makes it even funner. It's not just the textbook, but the movies that he shows us that thought us a lot about psych. He loves to tell jokes, and sometimes get a little dirty with them. His teaching is easy; as long as you read the textbook and listen to the lecture, you should be fine

Great teacher! He doesn't force his views or opinions on you he just says things to start conversations in the classroom; which is awesome. The textbook is a must. Read the chapters and you'll do fine in the class.

i have an a and let me tell you why. his lectures are clear to the point, even tho the students have stupid discussions. i read the chapter before coming into class so i know wut he talks about. reading also helps u prepare for the 4 pop quizzes. he gives study guides to help prepare u for the tests. so just read and show up and you'll do fine

This was a great teacher; he's funny and knows a lot about the subject. He cusses once in a while and makes psych relate to you. The class is pretty easy. There are 4 pop quizzes (although he usually hints to when they will be) so keep up on the reading, besides that there's not really any homework. There are 4 tests and a 4 page research paper.

Sadoval is awesome! Just finished the semester with him and theres nothin to complain about. A lot of the stuff he talks about WILL be on test. Other stuff is easy to find in the book. Make sure to use the review sheet he gives you.

I agree with the "beer" idea. Sandoval is a laid back teacher, not to difficult. You'll want to show up to class because he makes it fun. Four test with study guides and pop quizzes (hints to when you will have them). Basically you can't go wrong with him. He deserves more than one chile!

Great Teacher. Direct and fun to listen to. Very easy to approach and is very thoughtful of his students. Classes are an easy A if you take the notes and listen during lecture (wont be hard to listen because he makes it fun). Makes lectures relateable with real life examples and straight forward when grading exams and papers.

by far THE BEST teacher at cypress. relatively easy if you pay attention and do some reading. he makes class interesting and understandable...uses real-life examples. class is rarely ever boring and what helps, too, is that hes gorgeous! (not so much at first, but he grows on you)

Yea, notes don't help much. You're WAY better off using the book. Not a hard class though. I'd say attendance isn't mandatory but I think he grades on it so I just went. He's a pretty cool teacher, entertaining at least. Psychology is pretty lame to me anyways but this class wasn't too bad, I've had WAY worse.

Took Human Sexuality (also teaching with Mrs. Johnson) and loved the class! There was no other class I looked foward to other than this one. The book is a must, but if you listen to everything and can take it like a sponge, its also quite easy.

Psychology is my major andI fell I didn't learn much from him. If you want a easy way to pass class I reccomend him but if it's a subject you really want to learn about don;t take him. I would reccomend Professor Susan over him!

I've also taken Human Sex and Intro to Psych with him. Very good teacher. The class lectures are very enjoyable and you will always find yourself wanting to come to class. He relates the lectures to the students and makes it interesting. Comedic and Fun. Tests are EASY. Gives study guides. You will need the book a little if u want an A.

i took the human sexuality class with prof johnson and prof sandovol and the two of them are hilarious! they make you really comfortable with all of the topics and the tests are easy. its pretty much common sense. there are a few guest speakers and alot of videos but the videos are fun! take the class for an easy A!

human sexuality was such an interesting class . i had sandavol and susan for my professors. it's pretty easy . and he cracks jokes. it's a great class and if u dont study you can get a C if you study only the study guide they hand out u can get a B or A if your lucky and if you study text and come to class and study the study guide u'll get an A :)

I learned a lot from Mr. Sandoval. Very nice and funny too. You won't find a teacher like him too often. He likes to joke around and make his students feel comfortable. PSY 139 isn't too easy and you have to read straight from the book but everyone can pass. the learning experience is invaluable! GREAT PROFESSOR TRUST ME

I recommend taking sandoval for any of your classes. I took this class online so attendance was mandatory in order to get a decent grade. He gives 1 paper assignment, 4 exams, 5 quizzes which are all online. This class is a difficult class in general but I could not have asked for a better teacher!!

If anybody needs an online class for developmental psych, Mr. sandoval is the guy to take. I took 2 of his classes online and I passed. He is such a down to earth individual who knows what he is talking about. 5 quizzes, 4 exams, 1 paper is what he gave, which are due all online. Everybody should take him!!

PSY 139 was a great online class with Mr. Sandoval. There's a lot of reading, but the quizzes and exams are straight-forward. One developmental process paper due toward the end of the semester. He's very helpful!

awesome teacher, had him for summer school online. Class consisted of message board discussions and answering questions from movies you watch. He is very helpful and responds to emails quickly. Made the class very fun.

i took human sexuality last semester and it was a very helpful, easy, and fun class i was never bored or anything, the professors make jokes and you learn a lot, highly recommended, plus this class is transferable

I love love love this class! The lectures are very interesting and the class is so easy. There is no homework, only 1 research paper [which is really easy], and about 4 or 5 tests. There are 5 quizzes that are easy too. I'm definetly going to take him for other psych. classes. You'll be lucky to get into one of his classes. Lets us out early too.

His lectures are never boring and always entertaining. He cares about his students. If he sees you around campus he will sit and talk to you. His tests are always straight off the study guide he gives a couple days before each test.

I really enjoyed his class. Test are off the book and from his lectures so there is some reading to do and notes to take but he gives out study guides before each test, so do the study guides and you'll ace the test. Prof. Sandoval very easy. Talks alot and makes coming to class a pleasure. Doesn't give attendence points but does give random pop quizs. Tests are over the notes and the book, so you have to read the book. Easy paper and gives extra credit. I went from a D to a B with studying and my paper. Just follow the directions and you can do well.

Class was relatively easy as long as you pay attention in class and read the book, and every lecture was always fun and interesting. He gives all the terms you need to know on study guide. Don't miss class, and always be on time! He has a lot of good stories to share. :)

So every lecture begins on topic and then somehow it gravitates towards random people raising their hand in class to share some vaguely relevant story about their family or their lives. You hardly learn anything from the lectures alone. Most of the exams cover material from the book but I was able to get an A without ever purchasing it.

This was very easy. Drops lowest test score and there isn't a comprehensive final.

I took his human sexuality class which he taught with susan johnson, she was alright .. but sandoval was awesome, he made it so you didnt feel like you were litening to a lecture but something you wanted to hear, DO THE STUDY GUIDES! and you pass no problem, dont be late or youll be locked out or yelled at by johnson so be on time.

I first took the human sexuality class, and I knew I will want to take another class with him. He is very passionate about his job. GREAT teacher and an amazing person. Do the readings and go to class and you will be good. But do not underestimate his tests not all questions are supper easy :)

Sandoval is a great teacher. I took him for developmental psychology (not the most invigorating subject) and he made it really interesting and the class discussions were useful. I took him for human sexuality with him and Johnson and it was probably the easiest class ever! As long as you do the study guides, you will pass the tests. There are 4 tests & final, and the lowest is score is dropped! There is no homework, only an essay where you talk about your "sexual experiences" and as long as you do it you get full credit.

Wonderful and Fun Instructor, Cracks alot of jokes and keeps things very straightforward and to the point, Had him teamed with Johnson, and it was a Great class... EASY A! unless you're sexually retarded "which some in the class were" ha ha ha

Sandoval is incredible. I could tell by the first day of class when he had like 50 students petitioning haha. Do your reading and attend EVERY class even if your on your deathbed. Show him u want to get a good grade and you'll be granted. His methods are "adult supervision" stuff, so it's VERY interesting info to grasp onto. Have fun.

Probably my FAVORITE teacher of all time in college. He made showing up to class fun and it felt like all lectures were conversations with stories and such. It was very entertaining and a great learning experience. Tests are a little tricky, but make sure to read/study and show up to class. I highly recommend taking him!

Very good professor. Make sure you do everything on the study guide and review over class notes. Getting A's on the exams aren't that hard. I took the class in the summer and it was out of 300 points. 4 exams, 5 quizzes, and 1 essay. Exams are worth 50 points each, quizzes are 10 points, and essay is 50. There's also 10 point extra credit.

I wanted to take this in class, but it didn't work with my schedule. The class online however was very interesting and doable. Be sure to keep up with the discussion boards, and written assignments. The assignments are a routine thing. Be sure to read, and the study guides help a lot! As long as you dedicate time, you can get an A.

Professor Sandoval is a very funny teacher, his lectures are fun to attend. However the tests are difficult, you really do have to read the book in order to get a good grade. Attendance matters, since he passes around a sign in sheet. He also shows a movie during the semester and has 1 extra credit assignment at the end of the semester.

I was skeptical about trusting this site, but I enrolled in all my classes based on the reviews of previous students here. This particular prof is amazing, he lectures with enthusiasm, he is funny and relates the subject to our daily lives. He helps out a lot by giving study guides and extra credit. Very clear on what he expects from you.

This class is one of the funnest courses I have taken. The lectures are fun, the professor is hilarious, and the material is interesting. He'll tell you, you need the textbook but I didn't use it once. Take REALLY good notes andor get a study buddy, and you'll be set. Don't skip class because you'll get dropped after two absences.

Im writing this to clarify that his notes are not useless. His notes are a supplement to the reading. You do need to do both dont be lazy. With that said dont let his coolness fool you. He will lock you out of class and is his exams are bit tough. He is a great prof I recommend him highly. book is a must!

If a good student he will know and cut you some slack. Participate, read, do study guides. Read before class. Upper level courses will not give powerpoint or notes, mainly have discussions. There are such things as stupid questions. Dont text, be late, do other class work, or fall asleep. Watched him make students regret being disrespectful. Funny

Looked forward to class bc his lectures were always hilarious but also helpful. Hardly read the book bc exams and quizzes were mainly based on the notes so make sure to pay attention to take notes.

his class is awesome! he's too funny & its one of the few classes i actually really enjoy. i recommend taking notes because he does have pop quizzes. the study guide is extremely helpful for the exams so make sure you know it. have all the Scrantons ready for every class. I actually had a bad experience with my last psych professor, so I was nervous to see how Mr. Sandoval would be.. luckily, he was the best teacher I could have asked for! He updates grades every week, comments on your work, answers questions, and is very fair. I would definitely recommend taking his class. He's very encouraging and a good guy.

He has a very relaxed style. I found him very interesting and hilarous at times. Tough on attendance and gives pop quizzes, but put a little effort in &its a breeze. I found myself really interested in what he had to say and he made the learning experience not feel like work but something I was truly passionate about. Awesome class,awesome teacher!

He is the best Psychology professor. I would never want to miss his class. His class, literally brightens your day. Definitely, would take him again.

I took this class online and it was an 8 weeks course. The course is very easy if you read the book! This course does require your participation (reading, discussions, papers). As long as you read every chapter and do the study guide that he posts up before the test you should be fine. Requires access code so buy the book beforehand!

If you take Sandoval he makes it clear not to be late to class, you think you can slip by but he knows and will point it out. He's a fair teacher on grading and hardly has any homework. Tests are easy if you study, he practically gives away the quizzes. All I need all a good teacher making psychology interesting to learn.

Professor is clear on what he expects for a passing grade in the class. His syllabus is clear on tests, deadlines, and paper. I do recommend getting a book because it is used for everything. He is strict on attendance and punctuality so be committed or you'll fail and get dropped. He is funny, entertaining, easy-going, but still a good lecturer.

Professor Sandoval is an amazing professor, you will never get bored when he's lecturing. He follows along with syllabus, never changes dates. He cares about his student, if you ever need to talk about anything he listens with open ears and gives great advice. 5 exams and 14 online tests super easy. You do use your book so make sure to buy it.

You must come to class on time! He locks the doors and will ask you to leave if you do come in late. Also, he says he will drop you if you miss more than two classes. Otherwise, he's a hilarious professor who loves psychology. We didn't go into great depth sometimes, so I would recommend reading the chapters on your own.

Awesome Professor! Make sure to arrive to class on time and purchase your textbook. He cares very much about his students and their success. He's very clear in his lectures and provides excellent study guides. Be sure to do the study guide and read your book and you will do well in the course.

He is a great teacher. He is hilarious and has many experiences. His lecture is not hard, but you should read the textbook. Be aware of pop quiz!! Need to do Group discussion, presentation, and short writings during class, sometimes. I got an A and recommend his class!

By far my favorite professor in the entire campus. I loved him so much that I took both psychology and human sexuality with him! You have to read the book and I suggest you read all the chapters he assigns you cause after taking his classes, he puts things that are in the book and not the study guide to make sure you read.. so read!&he's hilarious!

He makes class interesting by telling stories to keep you engaged. He has real life experience and is more than willing to share it with everyone. You will definitely need to read the book. He is fair and the grade you earn is the grade you receive.

Professor Sandoval is the best professor I have taken. I took 3 of his courses throughout my career at Cypress and I loved each and every class! He makes class interesting and he will definitely make you laugh. He does not assign homework, so his classes are based on quizzes, exams, and a paper. I would totally recommend him!

Professor Sandoval is THE BEST professor Cypress College has. It may not seem like it at first, because this guy uses psychology in just about all he does but he is a gem! If you are a good student who puts in effort, Sandoval recognizes that and helps you in any way he can. He is supportive, caring, kind and fair.

i ended up dropping his class last semester, but the little time i was there, omg! amazing, inspirational and funny af. he explains well what he wants and he locks the doors on the dot, so if you are running late, give up because he won't let you in! unless he's running late, which is hardly!

Professor Sandoval helped me actually like psychology! His lectures are funny and he makes class entertaining. You CANNOT be late to his class or else you'll be marked absent. Also have scantrons ready for pop quizzes and also you need to READ the textbook since most of the test questions are on there, study guide is also pretty straightforward.

By far one of the BEST professors at Cypress College. He is TOUGH. I am not going to lie. He makes you work but it is all worth it at the end. Be aware of pop quizzes and make sure you are on time to class. READ. READ. READ. Sandoval is funny and makes the lectures fly with his stories. Also, he is approachable so don't be afraid to ask for help!

Honestly, pretty decent prof. Talks about relevant matters in his class and tries to make lecture really interesting. Overall, really laid back prof and as long as you come to class and pay attention you'll do fine. I highly recommend reading the book because there's times where he doesn't go over things that are on the test and are from the book.

His lectures are pretty entertaning but his exams are 98% based on the book. Do the study guide using purely the book and you should be good. Only things I hated about his class was that he locks the door as soon as class starts and if you miss an exam you cant make it up no mater the cirumstance so if you miss a quiz or exam your grade will suffer

George Lopez lookalike, makes class SO entertaining. His lectures are thorough but he does require you to read the textbook. 4 exams & 4 pop quizzes. 1 easily graded research paper. Online activities worth 50 points, and you have unlimited tries to get 100%. Extra credit offered. Locks the doors right when class starts so be on time. TAKE HIM!

BEST PROF EVER, George Lopez lookalike. His lectures had me laughing out loud. 4 exams & 4 quizzes. 1 easily graded research paper. Attendance required & you cannot be late or you wont be let in. He has accurate study guides & an extra credit assignment. Put in the effort and you will get an A. Take him you wont regret it!!

Truly one of the best! He's funny, and he truly cares about his students. The one thing that I always liked about him, was the joy that he got out of teaching. The look on his face while he watched his students having an active discussion with each other.

He's really funny and laid back, although one thing is that since he also teaches a sex class he occasionally uses examples of that kind of stuff to explain psychology

I took Professor Sandoval for both PSY 101 and 120, and he's absolutely hilarious when he teaches. The exams will be based off of both the lectures and textbook, so make sure you read the chapters! Also, you can't miss more than two classes because you'll be dropped. You also can't be late or he'll lock the door and you won't be let in. at all.

By far funniest professor I will ever have. Goes off topic at times, but the class doesn't mind because it's so entertaining. There's no homework so I struggled because your grade was strictly based off of tests/quizzes. He does offer extra credit and is very nice and caring when you talk to him. For this class you must buy mind tap for the book/EC

I loved attending Professor Sandoval's lectures because he had interesting stories to tell and lectures were never boring. No homework, but make sure you keep up with textbook readings in order to study for his exams since he does not provide study guides.

I really enjoy his class. I was very upset that school got shut down and moved to online. He lectures are great. I like how he talks about all of his experiences and places he has worked at. Gives out study guides and if you don't do it , you will not pass the test. He does close the door on time and do get locked out. He is a great Professor

Fairly decent professor. His PSY120 online class is very easy. Discussion boards weekly, homework assignments weekly (1 page typed), 1 research paper (5 pages typed), 10 MindTap activities, 4 quizzes, 3 exams, and a final. Just put in the work and you'll get an A.

Professor Sandoval is a great lecturer and he knows his stuff. His class is not easy but it's fair. He's very clear on the grading criteria and he's very clear on deadlines. He has a great sense of humor and I learned a lot in his class. I did have to put in work though to get an A. You do have to read and take notes and make sure to study.

I had really enjoyed his online class. its pretty straight forward and i love that he provides study guides for exams. weekly discussions, quizzes and essay's which is expected. i had taken a previous class before which is why i took him for this class. he is a good professor and i would take future online classes with him again.

First time having online class. He didnt judge on how you answered questions and discussions. He wants you to be honest and express yourself.

He was very clear on what was needed and expected for his class. We used Cengage. He does not accept ANY late work so make sure you prioritize your time. This was my first online class and it was easy. I enjoyed his class and he is very nice.

No zoom meetings, no lectures. You will need to purchase the course book through cengage. Assignments consist of 1-page papers, discussions, quizzes, tests and exams, and 1 research paper! Make sure your discussion answers are 5-7 sentences. He will also give you study guides for exams.

He doesnt respond to emails. And his syllabus is very clear cut and straightforward. I liked this class because it was online, I dont think I would take it in person. Be ready to be explicit about your thoughts on sexuality, def not for the shy. Buy the cengage online and work on the discussion, questions and assignments. Easy A if you keep up.

The writing assignments/discussions are very low stakes since he doesn't really grade based on quality but simply on completion. Do the minimum requirements and you get 5/5. Nothing is proctored so quizzes and exams are a breeze. Easy A, definitely recommend.

Highly recommend this professor. Papers once a week but its very personal topics so you become highly interested in it. He grades pretty fast, good communication. I would be interested in taking more of his classes.

His online class is structured very well. There are discussion posts and 1-page papers due every other week. He posts assignments at the start of every week and gives you until Sun to complete them. As long as you complete them and do min requirements you get 5/5. There's one 5-page research paper due but it's easy and I did it in one day. Easy A!

I don't know why people rated him low. I took the 8 week course only because Im pretty much free. I really enjoyed using Cengage, it gives you so much extra information, practice quizzes, videos. For the most part every assignment is easy he also provides class notes which is a plus. I reccomend taking his class and course in general!

Mr. Sandoval is a great professor. If you do all the assignments and follow all the rules you should get an A in the class. His exams and quizzes are based off of his lecture notes and cengage so if you go through all the assignments you should be prepared. I recommend him if you are a person that stays on top of your work.

Sandoval is a very chill and easygoing professor. Only 2 mindtap act and a discussion or writing assignment (easy) every week and either a quiz or exam which pertain to the textbook. He does not lecture, but his class is easy A if you do all the work. His 50 point research assignment was easy as well since he does grade based on completion.

Professor Sandoval is a good teacher!! you have to work hard, that's how it is in college! nothing is easy and teachers do their job. but you have to put in hard work and do the job. ik some of the assignments were heavy but I pass this class and I recommend him!! I'm taking him again for other classes too :) ..psss always read the syllabus !!!

Sandavol is such an amazing and fun professor, every class meeting we had people laughed. The assignments are easy, quizzes are easy, exams you need to study but easy! If you complain about his class go back to high school and maybe the teachers will let you slack off:) definitely recommend his human sexuality class in-person!!

I took Sandoval for both Intro and Human Sexuality. Great professor, 1 page double spaced paper a week and *maybe* 2 discussion posts. Also, it was NOT a guaranteed paper each week. He has an ample amount of quizzes (which are like, 10 questions, be for reals) and specific dates for tests and the 5 page paper and final Easy class with a great prof!

Took human sexuality online and learned a lot. No late work, be sure to reply to posts and discussions. Tests are a big grade but if you take it online it should be a breeze.

Professor Sandoval is hilarious which makes the class engaging. He is a tough grader but he is very clear on what he wants done. Him being a tough grader made me a better student.

Very funny guy, he makes lecture entertaining. He is strict on grading, attendance, and assignment instructions(for good reasons). As long as you pay attention and are not lazy you will pass the class. Don't be late on due dates, or else he will take points off. His work is easy, but when it comes to tests, beware of your grade. Not only that but there is a research paper as well. His lectures are funny, and he's a funny person overall. I like his class. It's very chill; there's nothing to worry about. I took his 9:00- 10:35 am class. Overall, I recommend him.

sandoval's online course is pretty straightfroward. you get weekly discussion boards and one page writing assignments. that counts as particpation and i think is easy to follow. the only thing is his exams. each worth a big chunk of your grade. but the exams ar multiple choice and timed so you can finish them pretty quickly.

Very caring and Carlos will set you up for success if you follow his instructions.

I took all 3 of his classes he's an amazing professor does care about attendance he will lock the door doesn't accept late work but his lectures are so intresting he uses alot of real world examples if you do things in the format he wants he doesn't really care about what you wrote easy A class

Mr Sandoval is pretty chill. Read the announcements each week!! He's pretty straight forward and easy to pass with an A. Just turn in the work on time and read instructions carefully.

This was an online winter intersession class so the workload was heavier than a normal semester class. Professor Sandoval was very clear on what you were going to be asked on tests. The course was complied through tests, quizzes, written assignments, and discussion boards. The writing assignments and discussions were helpful to apply knowledge!
