Dr. Brysch is far the best professor I've taken at TAMU. Easiest A ! She cares about you and your grades and will give a lot extra credit because she wants all her students to do really good in her exams! A couple of take home and in class activities but they are the easiest!!! Highly recommend her class!!!
One of the Greatest professors I've ever had!!!!! 100% recommend taking whatever class of hers you can!!!
Relates with the students REALLY well. Seemed like an average prof at the start, but as the semester went on, she knew that we were stressing over other classes, so she made a lot of assignments (and even the FINAL) optional. There were also many opportunities for extra credit, but I didn't need any of them since it was so easy. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!
TAKE ANY & ALL CLASSES FROM PROFESSOR BRYSCH!! Her class is the easiest A you will get! Many assignments are optional, and exams were open note, with the final being optional!!
Mrs Brysch was awesome, by far one of the best prof i've had at A&M. Gives lots of extra credit opportunity and tests are relatively straight forward.
Dr. Brysch is by far the BEST professor Ive ever had. All of her assignments are super easy and doable, the tests are very easy as long as you attend lecture, and she even made the final optional!! This class is extra credit galore, but its not because people do bad in the class, its just because she cares about us so much!! TAKE HER!!!
One of the best professors here at a&m. very very understanding and doesn't care as long as you tried on the assignments. final is optional and tests are super straight forward, right out of the notes. if you're not taking her what are you doing????
She is easily a top 3 professor at A&M. Gives great feedback on your work, makes her lectures relatable, and she understands not everyone enjoys geography as much as she does but she somehow makes every class fun and exciting. attendance is not mandatory but youre really missing out if you skip. take her as many times as you can. fun and easy A!
Dr. B is literally the sweetest prof ever! She cares about her students and finds ways to make her teaching relevant to our world. Her exams are word for word from the lecture slides and she even offers study guides! She gives extra credit but it was not even needed because most already had A's I still did it anyways bc of how interesting it was!
Easy tests as long as you look over notes/study. Great prof, cares about subject and makes you interested. If taking for elective or for an easy class, it is perfect. She will work with you as well and really cares about her students.
Super great teacher!
Dr. Brysch is the best! Take her classes if you get the chance. The class isn't difficult at all. She helped make GEOG 202 fun.
Prof Brysch is super nice and a great professor. She really cares about her classes and the material being taught. This is also one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. Just submit your work and you should absolutely get an A. She made the final optional, and told students that are happy with their grade to not take it. Take her classes.
Professor Brysch is so caring and she loves what she teaches. She gets so excited during class and always had fun facts or interesting videos to go with her lectures. She gave us reviews for exams and is just extremely kind. She was always smiling and I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the regions of the world with her. Very easy class!
Dr. Brysch was an amazing professor! She truly cares about her students and wants them to succeed in her class. Lectures were interesting, and she posts her power points online. Test questions came straight from the power points, and she pretty much made every test open note. Definitely recommend taking Dr. Brysch, you won't regret it! Easy A.
Dr. Brysch is amazing!! You can tell she really cares about her students. Her lectures cover everything she tests over so reading isnt necessary and she puts up outlines for every presentation. Tests were easy if you paid attention and she offers extra credit for all of them. She works with you if you arent happy with your grade!
Take Dr. Brysch! She has been so fun to listen to in class and everything we've covered has been sooooo interesting. She loves when students bounce off of each other and build funny dialogue. There are a few exams and a few homework assignments. You got this - take her!
Dr. Brysch is an AMAZING prof! She made learning geography interesting and has a fun personality and she tries to engage with the class as much as possible. Easy assignments/in class activities and open note exams with reviews beforehand that are super helpful! 12/10 take Dr. Brysch!
Prof Brysch is an amazing Professor and genuinely cares about her students. She makes exam open for a couple days so we can do it when it best fits our schedule. In class lectures are fun and she doesnt assign too much homework. Cannot recommend her enough, 1000/10!
Easiest class I took this semester. Professor was amazing. All the assignments for the semester were on the syllabus. You could do the projects as early as you wanted to get them out of the way. She uploads the PowerPoint on Canvas. Exams were open notes and she opened the exam for a couple of days. Would take her again without a doubt.
Very passionate about the subject and overall very easy class. Take this class for easy A
I took this class online over the summer so I did not interact with Dr. Brysch much. However, she responded to my emails very quickly and was very polite. She also left helpful feedback on all of the assignments that she graded. She graded fairly easily, and I enjoyed her class. Make sure that you email her professionally though.
My favorite professor so far. SO kind and willing to help her students take stress off of themselves. She moved the days of our tests just because a few students needed more time to prepare or were stacked with other tests. She remembers you, so be kind and ask questions. I'm going to take another class with her bc her's are so easy and enjoyable.
Prof had a hard time staying on the topic of Geography, instead chose to talk about environmental issues and social issues. That being said, tests and assignments were easy. I took this class as a first semester freshman and had no problem acing the class.
We had weekly quizzes, no tests or finals! I literally didnt even show up and I ended with a A! As long as u take the open note quizzes before the due date you will be fine! Easy A!
Legit the best it gets.
Easy class and amazing prof! PLEASE take this class! There were no exams and no final! Just a weekly quizzes which are open note. She truly cares about her students.
Dr. Brysch is amazing. She tries to make students laugh and knows how to get students to participate in class. Class is easy and gives lots of extra credit. Attendance is not required but there are some things you do in class that can count towards your grade. Only reason I got a B is because I slacked on my quizzes, so my fault not hers :)
Very nice professor. Easy class.
Prof. Brysch has very unclear grading guidelines, she gives ranges for how many points a certain category could be at the beginning of the year. Overall easy class, most question stems are found in the notes or in the reading. She had surprise assignments in class every now and then, but I don't think any of them are in canvas. Easy, wouldn't rec
Very great professor! Clear grading guidelines and was very easy to get an A in this class. She deserves perfect scores and it was actually fun to be in that class. Very interactive with her lectures and such a sweet person. I learned a good amount with her and she was very understanding.
Dr. Brysch is a really kind, caring, and easily approachable person, but her class was a bit unorganized. While attendance isn't mandatory, she did have some surprise assignments but none of them were hard. All her assignments she makes students due are pretty much stress free.
This class was just quizzes this semester but she told us next semester would be exams as well. Each quiz asks questions off of the readings and is open note, but when I emailed with issues concerning questions from material not found in the readings she answered with "It's there" and made no effort to help. Her lectures are all over the place.
easy A. no tests, only grades were online quizzes. class cancelled every third week. however, about .5 of quiz questions were based on content never explained in class. some extra credit opportunities for random attendance. drops lowest like 5 quizzes at the end of the semester.
I really enjoyed this class. The quizzes were manageable if the material was read, but it is your responsibility to do the readings. Her lectures are easy to follow and take notes on, and she is a really nice professor that is willing to help if you need it.
She is a very nice professor that enjoy teaching, but her rating is so high because of of how easy the class is and not her teaching ability. Unorganized class Lectures are hard to follow and topics grouped together do not make sense All about culture and diversity with a leaning left view point All online tests and quizzes Very easy A
Dr. Brysch was an easygoing professor and her class was very simple. No exams, no final, just quizzes; 3 quizzes per unit. Each quiz set would have a hard deadline but would practically be self-paced; could work ahead. 25-minute, open-note, multiple-choice Canvas quizzes that are based on provided PDF readings, lectures, & slides. Overall, easy A!
Professor Brysch is a great person, she makes her lectures entertaining and engaging. Attendance is not mandatory at all, tests are all open note and online. Quizzes open on the first day of class and close on the last day, everything open note. Very easy A and would recommend for a GPA boost. Offers extra credit and there are a few 2 page papers.
This class is such an easy A. I probably have put a total of 15 hours of effort in this whole semester and have like a 97. There's about 4 papers to write that take like an hour and 8 quizzes due at the end of the semester that I did in one day. The exams are online and pretty easy just search through the powerpoints. God bless Mrs. Brysch.
Brysch is definitely one of the nicest professors out there. She really cares about what she does and always has a smile on her face. The exams had a lot of the textbook reading and not as much of the stuff covered in the lectures as I would like. The other assignments are easy and interesting. Overall pretty easy; definitely recommend.
Really good GPA booster, exams are online and I hardly ever went to class.
Dr. Brysch is literally so funny, and she genuinely cares for her students. The class is really easy and there is little to no homework other than the 4 assignments. Tests are not super hard and the material is super interesting. Take this class!
Professor Brysch is a very sweet lady and is passionate about what she is teaching. There are quizzes that she opens up all at the beginning. She has 4 tests that are pretty easy and 4-5 two page papers that are long but also very simple. Great Prof, great class. Would definitely recommend someone to take this class.
Dr. Brysch is very caring and willing to help you reach your goals in this course! The course is VERY heavily weighted on tests, but extra credit is given for certain assignments and participation in class. Just do the textbook readings, read the slides, and take notes in class, and you will do great!
You can tell professor Brysch definitely cared for her students. However, the course was not very organized and the lectures were not super helpful for the exams. Exam content mainly came from the textbook.
Tests made up the majority of the grade for this course, but they were not difficult. Attendance is not mandatory, but you miss out on extra credit opportunities if you don't go to class. She randomly decides that some in class activities will be worth extra credit. Sub region quizzes are a joke and the paper assignments are very simple.
Brysch filled in for another professor at my university while he was on sabbatical. We Minnesotans had a lot of fun with her. The course we took was relatively easy, and were only graded on a few petite projects. This was a 200 level Geo course. I can't speak for this university's GEOG courses, but Brysch was very helpful with illness and absences.
Even though this professor is nice and the material is easy, the exams were harder than they needed to be. They often had concepts that we never actually covered in class, which can get frustrating. Also, her grading criteria aren't clear. But overall, pretty easy A.
Dr. Brysch goes pretty fast in lectures, but it's fine because this class is not hard. Things to study for the exams are the notes you take during lectures, the lecture slides, and the assigned readings.
I took this class online during summer session 1. It was a lot of assignments but they were really easy and she gave you plenty of time to complete them. She's not a hard grader and gives good feedback. For the summer session, she didn't have exams or quizzes so it was purely based on assignments. Super easy though, take this class.
I read the other reviews for her and thought this was going to be an easy class. It wasn't. The lectures were a lot because she doesn't really go off the slides that she has so you have to really listen to the extra things she says that don't translate from the slides. There's no review for the exams as well and they're in person.
This class is a lot more work than I originally anticipated. There are 4 exams (one is dropped) but they are difficult, so study! Make sure you go to class because there are pop quizzes and attendance is taken. With that being said, Dr. Brysch is a really sweet person and very willing to help you out if you ask questions and attend office hours
This class was terrible. This was the first semester the tests were not open note, and all of our grades reflected that. The professor was not sympathetic in the least. Each test required thorough knowledge of the 300 slides along with nearly 50 pages of readings. Simply too hard for an elective and would've been much more manageable open note.
This was the first time she did tests that were in person and proctored. This showed and she was wondering why the class average was much lower than other years. This is not a geography class, she is very left-leaning and teaches these views more than actual geography. Do not take her. This class is a trap.
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE 5/5 REVIEWS! Brysch shows up late nearly every day, speeds through the lecture, and complains when the entire class is failing from poor exam grades (with no review). The only incentive for coming to class is the pop quizzes. Very left-leaning and only uses Wikipedia and CNN as her scholarly sources. Very disappointing.
She is a tough grader when it comes to her tests but essays are easy. Not many assignments to be graded on, but get ready to read and take very good notes. She talks fast and her lectures are heavy and its not always certain what will be on the exam. There are 3 papers you need to write for the whole course but she is always available!
Dr. Brysch has been my hardest class all year, and it was supposed to be an elective class. Her lectures are very confusing and often off-topic. Her exams are unclear and hard if good notes aren't taken. It is hard to take good notes when she is speeding through them and going on tangents. I wouldn't recommend this class if you have the option.
She gives a TON of extra credit opportunities, especially at the end of the semester. Remember to read the textbook because the exams focused on textbook terms and PowerPoint. Make sure to go to class because she gives "pop quizzes," which, most of the time, is just writing your name on a piece of paper. She is a nice lady and understanding!
Apparently she's a great online teacher, but horrible in person. I'm going into grad school here and have never had a worse english-speaking professor in my college career. She speeds through the lectures and complains that we're only writing what's on the slide when she reads directly from the slides. It's just annoying, I'm glad I'm almost done.
3 papers that take like 2 hours each. Tests are worded weirdly but just study the slides for a couple hours before the exam - less if u paid attention in class. Always attend class cuz theres like a bunch of 1-2 question pop quizzes but some r extra credit n the question ones r literally common sense. drops a low test.
Dr. Brysch is an easy A if you're willing to attend class. Class is lecture-heavy and the exams will be mostly information ripped from the lecture slides, as well as sometimes information from the textbook readings. At the end of the day, if you study for the exams and attend class, you should get an A without much trouble. She values attendance.
GEOG 201 is an easy UCC class if anyone is looking for one. Gives pop quizzes in class randomly for attendance but it's not that serious, tests are simply recalling definitions, and minimal homework. Would highly suggest for anyone needing free credit. She gets easily distracted during lectures which is funny to watch, but a sweet lady
I took Dr. Brysch for GEOG 215, which was only a 1 credit course. I could quickly tell she is really kind and caring, as well as very available if you have questions. However, communication was a bit off-and-on and the schedule changed often, with some cancelled classes. She is a compassionate individual yet not the most organized professor.
This class and professor wasn't bad at all. There are three papers spread throughout the semester that you can finish in less than two hours. The exams are based off the slides, so take good class notes and review definitions. Overall, a moderately easy class to take.
Dr. Brysch is great. She is super caring and funny. Her lectures are a little bit scatterbrained, but the material is interesting. I have never met a prof that cares as much for her student than she does. We had a group of clowns that that were saying rude things about her in a GroupMe chat, and it really affected her niceness, be respectful.
The class was very easy if you attend lectures. You take 4 exams, lowest exam grade dropped, and they are primarily based off of the lecture slides. A cheat sheet was allowed for each exam. 10 in person pop quizzes that were essentially given as attendance markers, and 8 sub regional quizzes which were very easy and open note.
If you want an easy, blow-off class, take this professor. If you want a good professor, don't take this professor. She's late to class most days, likes to give relationship advice during lecture, and speeds through lecture. That being said, this class is very easy with few assignments and cheat sheets for the tests.
I love her. She makes her assignments so easy to understand and gives out lots of extra credit in case you still don't. She's very good at answering any questions you may have. Definitely take her class!
Brysch is a very easy and nice professor. Her class consists of 4 exams with a cheat sheet. Go to lecture everyday if you can because quizzes are random and matter!! They are a huge part of your grade in the end. Also turn in the assignments early for E.C, it is worth it! Overall, super easy A.
Aside from the random pop quizzes making attendance practically requires unless you're a gambler. The class is very easy to get an A if you do all the extra credit for which there are a ton of opportunities. If you are not a great test taker like myself stick it out because she drops the lowest test grade. She's a must take prof!
This class is an easy A if you show up to class and do all assignments. She posts the textbook chapters and even allows you to use a cheat sheet on the exams. I read the textbook and ended the class with a 98 but I know some people didn't read and likely still got an A. Just focus on the slides she posts. I thought the content was interesting!
Class was a very easy A. Professor Brysch is a easy grader, and her tests are also pretty easy. She has random pop quizzes, but I didn't mind because I actually liked going to her class because I thought she was quite funny. Highly recommend.
Dr. Brysch's class was super easy. I would recommend her for an easy A.
Low stress class, 3 easy papers, exams are based off lecture slides and readings (just skim through them tbh there's alot) and class. Just go to class and sorta pay attention cuz theres pop quizzes but some are counted as extra credit. In the end the extra credit amounts to alot
An easy course, however, the professor is difficult. She shows up late for class, and then gets upset when students show up late. Not understanding students' schedules, and showing no compassion. Gets off topic, talks about her family problems constantly, and then expects students to remember certain personal facts about herself for the exams.
Prof Brysch is a really great teacher! This class is test-heavy with only 2 assignments in total. She will call you out when you get to class really late or leave early. She talked about random stuff, but she was funny. She does let you have a cheat sheet for every exam, literally copy and paste the lectures on a doc and make the font small.
Professor Brysch obviously is very passionate about what she teaches, but her passion gets lost in her interactions with the class. The 1st day of class we were greeted by condescending remarks about how we are all grown as well as constant interruptions through the semester in the form of shushing the class despite no audible noise being heard...
Professor Brysch is a very difficult professor. She goes off topic too much, is always late to class, shushes the entire class when no one is talking, goes off on random tangents about her life or family, and will not give you an inch in regard to late work, absences, or showing up late to class. Easy class, bad professor. Stay away at all costs
I would not recommend professor Brysch. This is a college course, not a high school lecture; we do not need to be lectured on things that you would tell a middle school student. We are adults, professor Brysch, please treat us as such.
While Geography is an interesting subject, Dr. Brysch makes it not so. There is no engagement. Lectures are verbatim repetitions of PowerPoints, and it is not uncommon to hear Dr. Brysch going off topic, going off on tangents, or just forgetting that she is lecturing. I would not recommend this course.
Constantly late. Goes off on tangents. Reads directly off the PowerPoints and then blames students for talking because they are bored and unengaged. Announces things in class only without corresponding with the rest of the class. I would not recommend.
Overall not a hard class at all, she does pop-quizzes so make sure you show up regularly and take good notes. Exams can be a bit difficult, but she allows 1 cheat sheet per exam. She was kind, often brought fruit to hand out after class, and overall made the class doable and not too hard. Just show up and study before the exam and you'll be fine.
Constantly late to class. Condescending and disrespectful. Avoid like the plague.
Dr. Brysch is a funny teacher and I totally recommend her class. You have 4 tests (with a cheat sheet) and you get to pick 2/4 assignments to do. Attendance is not mandatory, but she does extra credit assignments on most Fridays and she will say when she will do an assignment. Tests are exactly what it on the power points, so study that.
Shes a little goofy I wont lie but her class is pretty easy if you just show up and study every once in a while. My studying was just making the cheat sheet. She drops a full test grade at the end and has a good amount of extra credit. Technically speaking this was my blowoff class
Attendance was not mandatory but if you attend she will give so much easy extra credit. She lets you use a full-size paper cheat sheet for all the tests so you don't need to study. Grades are based on four exams, about 10 online quizzes (open notes), and two required essays that are only 2 pages long. Incredibly easy A with very doable work.
Dr. Brysch is a professor who is very passionate about the subject she teaches, but she does not push the expectation of passion onto her students. Her essays and tests are very easy, allowing a full-page cheat sheet! She is very gracious with extra credit. I recommend you take this class for your International and Cultural Diversity credit. Easy!
GEOG 301 was surprisingly easy class, the material isn't hard and the test pull information straight from the slides that are taught in class. Furthermore, the professor allows for a one sided cheat-sheet on all tests and also dropped 1 of the 4 tests which also included the finals. She also has extra credit for just showing up to class.
Only 2 major assignments, cheat sheets on exams, nice professor and easy to understand
This is an easy class as long as you follow what she says. You only have 2 projects throughout the sem. The final can be skipped if you are satisfied with your grade. She's a super easy grader on projects, make sure to submit early for extra credit. Highly suggest coming to class because sometimes she would have attendance checks as extra credit!
she drops your lowest test grade. very straightforward class, 2 papers where you get to pick from a range of topics, most assignments aren't due until the end of the semester.
I enjoyed the class, not the material, but it was very easy. Four difficult and particular exams, but lowest exam gets dropped and she allows a cheat sheet that can get you a free 90+ if you print out her lectures. I received a whole letter grade of extra credit by simply attending her class and handing in her in class extra credit assignments.
Sometimes the class can be a little opinionated, however, the tests are not difficult, and there is a bunch of extra credit if you go to class. I've taken her twice and enjoyed both times. she also drops the lowest exam grade.
Avoid if you can. She did give a lot of extra credit and dropped the lowest exam at the end of the semester along with canceled class once in a while, but she went off topic frequently, went on tangents, brought up family life/drama, and treated the class like high schoolers.
I took it online and it was so easy, quizzes are due every Sunday but it's all on Quizlet. The exams are very easy as well just use the lecture notes she posts. She gives out 4 assignments and 3/4 have to be completed throughout the semester which is enough time. Very easy class.
Unorganized and content of the class content was not valuable. Reminded me of AP human in HS. The class gives HS vibes in terms of the content and assignments, so it was extremely easy but a waste of time. She's nice and gives a ton of extra credit. Cheat sheet for the exams and I wrote everything from the slides and got A's on all of them.
Dr. Brysch is so easy and understanding for Human Geography. She claims it is not a blowoff class, but the only time I studied is to make the cheat sheet for exams. She gives a lot of extra credit and is entertaining in lectures. Only 3/4 tests required, meaning I din't go to class for the last month of school. Amazing prof, and easy topic.
def take for an easy A. you dont have to take the final if you're happy with your grade after third exam. she gives so much extra credit, but you have to go to class to take advantage of it. i got a C on the first exam, but got sm ec I didnt have to take the final bc it bumped me to an A. just go to class and use it as a study hall.
Easiest class ever! 3 easy (sometimes tedious) assignments all semester which can be done at any time. Exams are also easy and from the notes. Exams are also open-note. So easy you almost forget about it. Also gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. Quizzes are each week due sunday but take less than 5 minutes.
She really tries hard to engage students and make jokes. Gives lots of extra credit and allow a cheat sheet on exams(which are kinda easy). Overall very nice professor. Please take if you have the chance
Dr. Brysch is such an interesting person. When the semester started I was somewhat scared of her and she seemed a little unstable. As I continued in the class I started to like her more and more. The class is very easy and if you come to class and care a little bit you'll get an A.
Dr. Brysch was super sweet. I honestly forgot I had this class sometimes, because it was so easy. GEOG 201 with Brysch is super convenient to knock out some credits. Open note quizzes/exams, and 3 assignments due by the end of the semester. Well paced.
GEOG 201 online was the easiest class I have ever taken. Easier than most things I took in highschool. Weekly quiz (unlimited attempts), three exams (open note), three assignments that take an hour each. If you need a GEOG credit take this online it is crazy stupid easy.
So much extra credit given as long as you just show up to class and participate. Dr. Brysch is very funny and caring about her students, if you are having any sort of difficulty just talk with her and she will help out. A great and easy class if you need some extra credit
Hands down easiest class I have ever taken.
Weekly quizzes are super easy. Only have to do 3 out of 4 assignments that are pretty chill. Tests are a bit weird & fast paced but you should be fine if you have all the past slides. Tons of extra credit. Professor Brysch sends weekly reminders of what needs to be done every week. She does provide textbook readings but u don't need to read them!
This professor has amazing reviews at other institutions. However, in San Jac, her class is like an English class. All assignments and tests are long essays + the bibliography page. Harsh in grammar and formatting. Takes forever to put grades in and does not answer emails. You never use the textbook you got charged for. Do not take her class here!
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT TAKE HER AT SAN JAC! Her class there is awful. All assignments and tests are essays, and she grades them heavily. She takes forever to put grades in and to respond to emails. I regret enrolling in her class that I am even considering dropping. I thought it was an easy A. The class is easy but she makes it hard :(
I took Dr. Brysch for online GEOG 201. Class was extremely easy, though exams are most of your grade. I spent very little time and effort in this class and still got an A+. Highly recommend as an elective class. Dr. Brysch was often behind on grading, however. I did not have any real personal interactions with her due to the class being online.
She is very energetic and and seems to take interest in her students. She gives so much extra credit, barely any homework (two assignments total in my case), and drops your lowest test. Her class was the class I have taken in my life but was still interesting. She does take email formatting seriously though so be prepared for that.
Dr. Brysch is awesome! People who say she's difficult/rude are people who don't want to learn or be in college. Your test score is indicative of your effort, so show up to class. You can use cheat sheets to answer questions on the exams. Long lectures but interesting. She scans textbook into Canvas and it's only a few chapters. Extra Credit as well
The class concept itself is not that bad, the tests are hard- almost everyone failed the first one. she does not curve. She is very liberal and always talks about how straight people have privilege. she does pop quizzes if she sees people leave mid class. she does allow cheat sheet for test but it does not help.
Dr. Brysch was a good professor and her class was easy.
Every class, there was a small activity, so you have to go to class. Apart from those, the only other assignments were three short essays and the three exams. You take four exams but your lowest is dropped. If you disagree with her political views, this class gets about 200x harder, so be prepared to lie on some of the activities.
A bit wacky, but funny. Allows a cheat sheet on the exams, one side only. Put all the lectures on there and you'll be fine. A few assignments here and there, but she grades easy. Stopped going to class about half way through, only showed up for exams and made an A. Posts lectures online!
Cheat sheet for test. Show up to class to get extra credit there's a lot, and writing assignments. Test are definition heavy from the slides she gives. just write them all down on cheat sheet and you should make a easy A. EASY ELECTIVE
Easy social science credit. My exam average was an 80 but i still ended the class with a 100 because I showed up to class and did her engagement activities. GO TO CLASS and use it as a study period. 3 exams (cheat sheet allowed) an optional final, and 4 assignments that she grades easy on. She's a sweet professor and she answers her emails quick.
Dr. Brysch was so sweet and made GEOG 215 a breeze. Super easy 1 credit hour course
As an engineering student, I took this class for Cultural Discourse credit, and it was easier than my high school classes. Five assignments for the whole semester (four required), four exams (lowest gets dropped, including the final) where she lets you use one-sided cheatsheets, and ten engagement activities for extra credit. Take for an easy A.
Dr. Brysch is amazing. She gives so much extra credit finished the class with over 100. If you do not procrastinate, study for the tests, and go to class, you will get an A easily in the class. She is funny, caring, and listens to the students.
Dr.Brysch was an amazing professor, her attendance is not mandatory but it's recommended. She gives out A-LOT of extra credit so, it's possible to get an A in her class I just stopped attending her class. She lets you create a cheat sheet for exams which help. She doesn't have many assignments but they're very easy. Would definitely take her again.
Very funny prof. She gives an absolutely INSANE amount of extra credit. Attendance is not mandatory but you get a little extra credit for it.
Dr. Brysch's GEOG201 class is a breeze! Tons of extra credit, minimal work, and you can use cheat sheets on exams. The class is super engaging, and Unstuck AI is a fantastic study resource. Highly recommend for an easy A!
I have had Dr. Brysch twice now and I absolutely adore her. She is by far a caring and helpful professor. Her courses are applicable to every day and are enjoyable. I cannot imagine taking ANY GEOG course with any other professor. As long as you do your work and take responsibility for your education, you will easily learn the info and do well!
Her class is very easy and she just talks for 50 minutes you don't really do any work but she does tend to rant a lot which I didn't find enjoyable.
The class was mandatory, but I was looking forward to it because I really like geography. She managed to turn a GEOG class into a class about making resumes and doing other stuff that college students should already have completed. Avoid taking her in-person classes if you can.
very clear on whats gonna be on test and lets you have a cheat sheet that you cna type and print only one side. tests arent too bad but lots of extra credit i lowk just suck at geog💔💔💔
Prof Brysch was a super kind and enthusiastic prof. Attendance matters, she would have engagement activities that help your grade and they're super easy. Only 2 time consuming hws but not hard. Each test you can have a cheat sheet and she drops the lowest test grade. She liked to make class fun and even brought us food one time, would take again!
Neverrrr went to class and still did well. Allowed exam cheat sheets which is nice. Dr. Brysch is sweet her lectures are just boring but the material is really boring. Not my favorite class but it was fine. Attendance was sometimes "counted" with an exit ticket type thing but not always.
I'd recommend this class to anyone I know. It's extremely easy! Literally all you have to do is go to class and study. She allows a cheat sheet for exam. She also drops your lowest test grade, so you may not even have to take the final. She is sassy and loves a good pun. LOTS and I mean LOTS of extra credit. Love Dr. Brysch!
The material is interesting, but the lectures were fairly boring. However, she gives so much extra credit that it's insane, so you NEED to go to class. Exams aren't bad and she allows a cheat sheet so it makes it even easier.
Lots of opportunities to improve your grade, lowest exam is dropped (final included), 10/10 class shoutout Brysch
Dr. Brysch was so funny and her lectures were hilarious. It made me want to learn. There's 4 exams and the lowest grade is dropped. All are multiple choice and true or false, pretty easy if you study with the slides. She has four big homeworks that take about half a day to do, which are also not hard just busy work.
The best kind of teachers are the ones you can tell love their subject
Attendance not mandatory but she gives in class extra credit so it helped me a lot to go to class. The exams were lowk hard because I'm not very good at geography but a cheat sheet was allowed. There are a few assignments throughout the semester but difficult. She also drops the lowest exam so I didn't have to take the final.
Took this class as a 4 week summer course. It was super easy. We had no exams. However, the busy work is a lot of writing. Takes a lot of time but not much thinking. Overall, this course is an easy A.
Weird and occasionally infuriating, but not bad. Generally likeable, reasonable workload and grading. Very respectful of people but often mocking of ideas. It seems mostly good-natured though and she's not persistent about it. Very good as a professor but definitely weird.
I stopped going to the class after the first exam and only went for the exams and got an A+. Super easy class. Can use a cheat sheet on exams and I just put the vocab words from her slides on the cheat sheet and did good. In class extra credit, but hardly any to make a difference. You probably wont need it.
This class is meant to be more about introductory geography (as was defined in the syllabus), yet she somehow changed this course into a professional development course. As far as I am aware, this class (with mandatory attendance) has been the largest waste of my time, and I would highly recommend avoiding taking her in-person course if possible.
Dont take this class it is way too political. I think I learned more about political topics than geography. If you want to learn about racism, religion, migration, and ethnic culture sure take this class. If you want to learn about the earth then do not take this class. Professor was rude at times and condescending, which got annoying, but not bad.
By far the EASIEST class ever. One quiz due a week with two attempts but it's literally so straightforward. Two exams (midterm and final) untimed, open note, and you have a while to get them done. Like I could not say more good things about this class. Take it.
She is very condescending and shushes people even if they aren't talking. Definitely pay attention because stuff she says is on the test and its not always on the slides. Only had to complete 3/5 assignments. This is one of the most boring classes I have taken and I only took it to fulfill a requirement. Not super easy but not super difficult.
So much extra credit and cheet sheet it is hard not to get an A lol.
Real great professor, and an even better person! Lecture was a bit boring, but she tried her best.
I highly recommend this for an easy online course. There is a quiz each week, and then you can choose to complete 2/3 assignments posted. Didn't take up a lot of time with a busy schedule and a good GPA boost. As long as you submit the open note quizzes on time it should be a guaranteed A.
This was an extremely easy class with 1 quiz each week (usually 10 questions, open note, and you get 2 attempts). Additionally, there are 3 assignments, and you complete 2/3 and they are not too bad. You have 1 midterm and a final, open note and you get 2 attempts. Overall, very light workload.
GEO 301 is EASY! Lectures aren't mandatory but she usually does bonus twice a week and they are super easy participation sheets with like three questions. You have to write a couple essays and do 10 quizzes (on your own time, super easy, online) during the semester but that's it outside of exams. After bonus points my grade went from a 92 to a 98.
She made it very obvious that she did not care about this class. Half the time she came in not knowing what we were supposed to be covering that day. All she does is read straight off the slides and even admits to not knowing what some things on the slides mean. She is also very liberal leaning and she makes it very clear in certain slideshows.
Worst class I've taken at A&M, the professor even more so. "Dr." Brysch is the epitome of credentialism. Reads the slides at an elementary level and goes on tirades about racism and injustice. She ridicules students who ask questions. Maybe 20% of the class was geography, and the rest oppressed people groups. Save your sanity and steer clear.
Easy A because this class has nothing to do with geography. "Geographical sociology" should be the name of this class. I stopped going to class after the first exam because all she does is rant about racism and oppression. Still made an A. There is a time and place to talk about those things, but not on uneducated tirades yelling at students.
She is very organized and a good professor. She provides readings in canvas that can be wordy, but you can reference them during assignments. It is a good class and fun elective to take. Do your assignments well, do the projects ahead of time, and put thought into your answers and you will get that A!
