Great teacher!

Good teacher. Very helpful in the essays. She give about 3 essays and test the whole year.

She's an amazing teacher, very easy class. You can only miss two classes. All you do is write 4 essays and a couple quizes.

She is helpful to the fullest. She does stay in contact via email if u have questions. I had no final. a few EASY test, quizzes. no midterm(when i had her) EASY course. Just 4 eassys. Have a hard copy ready to turn in or u will get a F no exceptions. dnt miss a class either. But she is an AMAZING teacher by far.

AMAZING TEACHER! She always is available if you need her, whether by email or her office hours. Very few tests and only 4 essays to write. She does use the textbooks a lot, so I recommend getting them. Overall, she is very helpful and great at what she does. :)

Hard grader took her for 1102 passed with a B but she is a very strict grader your overall grade is based on few assignemts. if you are a good writter i recommend her. her classes are entertaining tho

She was a very good teacher, super helpful. She would talk to you individually if you went to her office. She was really funny and makes sure you understand. However, she is kinda stict in her grading. We mostly did essays and she looks at them meticulously. Do good on the essays or you will not pass!

She is a great professor. Very humorous during class and genuinely concerned about students success. Homework (very easy) was based on text readings &all submissions were made online through angel. A few simple 10 question exams. No midtem or final. Class was interesting. 4 challenging essays that made up most of your grade. I recommend!

This professor is very sweet and helpful all of the homework is straight forward and easy it comes for the book but dont let her easy going personality fool you she is e VERY HARD GRADER!!! she willgive you 4 throughout the whole semester worth 60 percent of your grade but if you want to learn I say take her

Professor Bucher was a good teacher. I didn't really learn much at first, but definitely learned how to write good essays. I had 80-90s in all my essays and I ended up with an A in her class. Some comments I have of her would be that she is late most of the time (though she warns you to not be late) and she is a tough grader

She is definitely a tough grader. However, she is interested in her students and wants everyone to pass. Also, her lectures are interesting (especially when you learn about pop culture). She's very organized and clear about everything and is always available to assist her students. She is an amazing professor and I would recommend her to anyone :)

Currently taking this class and I love it. Bucher is really cool and very interactive and friendly with the class. There hasn't been a day that I've wished I wasn't there. Grading is really tough and you'll most likely pass with a C if you miss an assignment. Lots of extra credit opportunities, no final, just a research paper and 3 essays.

She is super hard grader!! DO NOT take her. I had a 69% in the class and she couldn't give me a C. Now i have to repeat the class such a bummer

Professor Bucher was a hard grader.I took her class during the summer for 6 weeks, and she piled a lot of work into it. 3 essays, normal homework assignments, reading,and a research paper. If you are a procrastinator I advise you to choose another professor.

shes awsome, no midterms no finals. about 4 essays she will crealy tell you what you did wrong in the essay and talk to you about it if you go and see her. she is a hard grader.

Great professor, you will learn from her lectures. She doesn't give unnecessary work. Tons of extra credit opportunities. Is there when you need to her. Super entertaining, always has a smile, never yells. You will not waste your time in her class if you are willing to put in the effort. You will get the grade you deserve if you work for it.

Prof. Bucher was not an easy teacher to understand due to her human nature to forget, BUT if you do what you are supposed to do how she tells you to, you should be fine. She offers a lot of extra credit, so if you're one to fall off or can't get it right, I suggest you do your best to get those extra credits done before their due date.

Incredible professor. She isn't an easy grader, which will constantly push you to write the best papers possible. Her lectures are great and always interesting. She is exceptionally kind and will help you as much as possible as long as you respectfully approach her. Make sure you pay attention to your grammar! Overall, she is just lovely. 1010.

If, and only if you are good at the world of literature and English will professor Bucher be easy. What I enjoyed is that she has a balance. Although she is a tough grader she has a sweet spirit and is ALWAYS willing to help when you need it. She wants you to learn on your own too. Do not underestimate her kindness, or you will be in for a shock.

Professor Bucher will prepare you to write at the university level, and expect that you do so. If you're taking an honors course with her, please keep in mind that she has high expectations of you. She is not a difficult grader; she gives you the grade you deserve. If you want to pass her class, visit her in her office hours (and do your work).

Do all of your essayshomework on time and show her your essays to make sure that you're on track. Follow her format and you'll be fine. Also, make sure you do all of the extra credits. You'd be surprised how that can help your grade average at the end of the semester. Overall, she's a great professor.

Professor Bucher was amazing! I took her for both 1101 and 1102 and I really enjoyed it. She is a tough grader, but she gives amazing feedback and it really helps you improve your writing. Definitely read and participate in her class, it's pretty important. She's sweet and funny and she looks out for her students. Not an easy A, but not impossible.

Professor Bucher is probably one of my favorite teachers. Isn't an easy A but is extremely helpful and will work with you whenever you have a problem. The classes where full of laughs and participation isn't mandatory but will get you extra brownie points. Very sweet and understanding. Took her for two semesters. Do not regret it

Prof. Bucher is hands down the best ENC prof I've taken so far. Her class is an easy A if you put in the effort. She will make you work for your grade but in the end if you do what is required you will pass. Research paper required but with the way she teaches it'll be a piece of cake.

Professor Bucher is a tough cookie, but man is she the most wonderful person you are ever going to meet at MDC North Campus. Her lectures are never boring and she knows how to teach well! Professor Bucher is one of the best professors at MDC North. I took her for both ENC1101 and ENC1102, and got an A in both. Yes, she is a tough grader but it's all worth it. She will teach you how to write good college papers and if you need her, she's always willing to help. If I could take her again I would without hesitation.

Professor Bucher is an amazing professor who truly cares about her students and is willing to work with you with her open office hours. Her class is intermediately hard and does challenge you to think deeply about topics below the surface. Would highly recommend students to take her.

I had Professor Bucher for ENC1101, IDH, & LIT2480, all honors, and passed all classes with an A. Shes an amazing professor & cares about each and every one of her students. I would probably take another English class just to have her as a professor again. Definitely take this professor at least once! Shes super sweet & approachable.

Professor Bucher is a tough grader. But she does this to push you beyond your abilities. I can honestly say that through her class, my writing has significantly improved.

Real tough but worth it because you actually learn. She cares a lot for her students and makes class super fun. 3 essays, 1 research paper and some quizzes online(but super easy).

Professor Bucher has been one of those few professors that I have ran into in college that actually cares about you and how you are doing in the class. She is extremely accesible outside of class and will work with you through any concern that you have. She is an amazing professor and I took her for ENC 1101 and ENC 1102 and passed with As.

Today was my last day with her & I'm honestly sad about it. I've never had a professor really involve themselves, students & their interests in a class before. She made the class fun and she interacted with everyone. It was a lot of work, given it was a 6 week class, but as long as you read and discussed in class, it's an easy A.

A class with Prof. Bucher is a top-notch experience. She adds to reasons why MDC's English Dept is stellar. Your writing can improve in a major way, serving you in the larger picture. She cares and has interesting, carefully crafted lectures. Unique professor. Don't leave MDC without taking 1 class with her. Her teaching methods are very effective

So Professor Bucher class was so much fun to take. A whole course dedicated to Harry Potter. Not only is she hilarious she enjoys and encourages participation. Be prepared for her final paper though! That was a tough one! But luckily she guides you through it step by step and is very lenient

She is very accessible to everyone in her class. She has very good lectures, and is not boring. Her sense of humor makes her relatable. You will learn how to write taking her class. The essay rubrics can be challenging, but if you apply yourself, and put time into your work, you will pass her class.

Although she is a tough grader, the class is not boring. She makes you write four papers and expects a lot from students. Sometimes she gives extra credit which can help your grade. Participation counts, she will ask you a question if she sees youre not participating, but overall she is fair and will try to help you if she sees you struggling.

I think professor Bucher is an overall caring and good professor, I was honestly surprised to read some of these reviews as my class had an amazing experience with her - Her lectures are fun and entertaining and she's very understanding and ready to help, she might take a bit of time to grade your assignments but i learnt a lot in her class

Professor Bucher was very good. I took her for my final class and despite it being a pandemic, I didn't find it to be any more difficult than any other 2000 level English class. The only people who didn't have A's either had never done any of the reading or didn't double check their grammar or participate. Pay attention, speak up, and you've got it

She is amazing. I go to a different college now but I still come back around to ask for her help on papers. She's caring and very inspiring. You will be a better writer after this class

Highly recommended! Nice lectures. She's a very caring professor. Going to her office hours really helps. She's very willing to help and motivate you through your college experience. You'll have 4 important essays. You'll write 4 personal stories and present one of them in class. You'll take quizzes (5-6 questions) about the readings she assigns.

Great professor in the way that she goes over readings, current events, and upcoming assignments. This class encouraged me to take more in person classes because it was welcoming and fun. Provides clear instructions and rubrics. For essays, like the research paper, she even provides a very helpful outline to aid in the writing process.

Tough grader my Gyatt. I literally finished her class with a 118.14%, and the amount of work I had to do for both of my Dual enrollment English classes was 6 times the equivalent of what I had to do for this class. If you actually do all your work, follow the outlines, use Grammarly, and reach out to her during office hours, you will succeed 100%.

Super nice and easy to talk to. You will have to read a reasonable amount, nothing crazy. Some discussions in class. She gives you a good amount of freedom for the essays, but she does grade them quite tough. YOu can have her review your work before turning it in which is super helpful.

Complete stuff on time and plan ahead, read the material and get the main ideas, participate in class, and ask for feedback, that's all you need for the A.

Professor Bucher is a kind and caring Professor. Her grading was incredibly tough, and at times I feared if I would actually make it and get an A in her class. She provides 3 Essays for the class to do, each being around 5 pages long, each 1200 words minimum. Included within the Essays are the mandatory readings, that must be read before class.

Professor Bucher is an incredible professor. Her grading criteria are strong, and she is very accessible to see after class. During the semester, we had 3 essays with a minimum of 1200 words, 4 backpacks, 4 storytelling, etc. No quizzes and no in-class essays. The class lectures are interactive, and you must read them before class.

Professor Bucher was great to have overall for ENC 1101, 4 essays and decent amounts of homework/reading but you'll get through it if you do the work.

Wasn't the hugest fan of her but I can objectively acknowledge that she is a good teacher. Accessible for the most part and pretty understanding. Tries to incorporate creativity into her classroom at times which I can appreciate. Critiques are usually fair and constructive. She's not half bad.
