she is very hard , has to many tests and homeworks , she expects you to be alwayz in the class , be on time , have your assignments , no late work .

good teacher, is kind of funny, but allows no leeway and only 2 absences are allowed.

Kind of a pain, lots of handwriting. Very strict on timeliness, I left to use the restroom and when I returned my assignment was knocked down one letter grade for being late.

Very good teacher, will help if you need it... She's strict, but the class isn't that hard if you pay attention and do you work. Lots of writing, but nothing too bad. Very nice.

Very challenging class. She is very willing to help you outside of class.Very nice lady! Very stressful in classroom, but outside of classroom she is laid-back and very cool. You will have to work hard. 95 is an A- I had to work my but off to get an A.

Mr. Hall is a wondderful teacher. No matter what anyone says. She expects a lot from her students, but that's for your benefit. If you want to become the best or take the best, you should take Mrs. Hall. I recieved an "A" in her class. It is attainable. She is very cool and approachable.

When i first started taking the class she seems hard and really mean. She willgive you a lot of work to do, but she is extremely helpful. I learned a lot in her class and i would advise anyone to take any of her English classes. She was a great teacher.

Ms.Hall is the best teacher I have ever had. She is very helpful about everything, even things that have nothing to do with her class. She only pushes you in class because she knows what everyone is capable of. I would recommend anyone to take her class. She's AWESOME!!!!!! (Take a challenge.)

Great teacher. She will always help you no matter what, just ask or go to her office. When you go to her office it always packed with students, because she like helpping her students out. She is such a great teacher I am taking her again next term.

She's a wonderful woman. I love her as a person and she is a great mentor, but her class is hard it's not an easy A so if U take her be prepared a lot of writting. She is very stright foward and will tell U like it is. she doesn't take crap nor will give U second chances (in class) unless you have a documented excuse. She will teach U how 2 write

She piles on the homework a lot! It was a good thing my other classes were easy and didn't assign a lot of homework or I would have failed. Just about all the writing assignments were about black history and black rights. I feel like I'm about to regurgitate this stuff. She is a wonderful teacher in the office, but a horror in the classroom.

Best teacher ever! She is like a boot camp instructor in class though, but outside she's the best! She always has people in her office. She's the only teacher who actually took some time off to help me. No lie she does give out a lot of work but it's helped me to not forget the rules of writing and helped me write much better. TAKE HERRRRRRR

Ms. Hall was my first teacher at SPC, and after her, every class I took was a piece of cake. She's extremely difficult, but the best teacher I've ever had. She'll let you know everything you need to know, more than once, and you always know what to expect from her. She was the best preperation I had for USF.

Carmen Hall is an EXCELLENT teacher! She expects a lot; but, you will learn a great deal out of it. I haven't heard of any Comp I & II teachers who are as well respected and whose doors are always open. I have a feeling Prof. Hall remembers all her students and takes interest in every single one of them. I would DEFINITELY recommend taking her.

Carmen Hall is an incredible teacher. She is tough and specific but you will learn so much and she is always willing to help. It's difficult to get an A in her class because her grading system is different, but if you complete assignments on time and bring your work to her office before you hand it in it's very possible. She's amazing, take her! :)

DO NOT LET OTHER PEOPLE SCARE YOU ABOUT HER! If you want to actually learn, TAKE HER CLASS. She prepares you for ANYTHING you could ever need. She has a fun (but rare) sense of humor, and is very open-minded. Although I dislike her grading system (94% and up=A), I love her teaching style. I signed up for her for CompII, and am anticipating it!

Mrs. Hall will put the hurt on weak students. To all you I cant wake up before 12 o'clock, laguna beach, little tenderloin slacksters..... Need to feel the wrath of the math. Mrs Hall will keep it ganster!

She makes you write a lot of essays, but she always gives you the chance to revise them for a grade.

Ms. Hall is an extremly great teacher!!! She is truely one of my favorite teachers and I mean that. Dont be afraid of her she is very caring just make sure to do all your work and FOLLOW DIRECTIONS and you will do good.. Def need to show up to class!!!

Take this professor if you can. She is the best. She loves teaching and she wants everyone to pass.

People are going to have their own opinion, but if you truly want to develope and grow this is a class for you. I heard the horror stories, but because of ths remarkable woman I am ready for all my classes and not just one. Yes you have to study, but just don't slip.

this professor is very intimidating but she is amazing. yes, she gives a lot of work, and it asks a bit of time and effort, but it is not impossible to do. she does not ask for things that are out of this world. she has definitly prepared me for my future classes and i thank her for that.

Take her! She doesn't mess around. She is serious about passing. She wants you to do excellent in her class. She offers a lot of extra help outside of class. If you don't understand something,then she will go over whatever it is until you do understand.

my favorite professor. if she sees you are interested in excelling in her class, she will do everything to help you reach your goal. yes, she is demanding, but you will learn more from her than any other comp professor and come out a wonderful writer. if people don't like her, it's probably because they are lazy. make an effort; it's worth it.

GREAT PROFESSOR, there is alot of written work but as long as you do the work and try in the class you will pass with at least a B. Very FUN class!

Professor Simpson (Hall) I think is a good teacher. This is my first semester of college and so far I am doing good. Her grading scale maybe higher than other teachers but I believe she gives you the opprotunity to earn your grades. Vocab tests way easy, easy 100. As for a boot camp instructor, I have seen worse!I am a veteran...

If you want to learn something then take this teacher know one said college was going to be easy.. yes there is a lot of work but by the end of the class you will know a thing or two.... thats what we are here for LEARNING...Professor Hall well help you with anything you need...shes great!

I just loved her. You definately have to work for your grade. She is always willing to help any student out that askes for help. Lots of homework, journals and essays. Tests all the time! You have to be awake in her class.

Professor Simpson was very blunt and straight to the point. I really enjoyed her class and the work ethic she expects from you as a student. Great Professor plan to take her again for Comp 2 :)

Her communication was clear and direct. I knew exactly what was expected from me as a student. Do exactly what she requests and you will be just fine. She helps the students a lot; additionally, she is very energetic and funny.

Professor Simpson is an excellent introduction to College Courses. You immediately know this isn't High School anymore. I had a class full of 35 students, and by the final exam, there were only 9 of us left. Professional in everything way you can think of. We were mainly graded on Essays that we had to write, then rewrite after she graded them.

I was terrified I had to take her since she had such a low rating here. BUT that is absolutely not true! She is awesome. If you do what she tells you to do that and if you show you are interested, you can get easily an A. I really had fun with her. If i ever need to take comp 2, it is going to be her class again. And no, I don't like writing at all

Good teacher. I personally am terrible at composition and writing so her tough love teaching style really helped me improve my writing habits. Also, you better be well organized as a student and go to class if you hope to pass. She gives a lot of tests but they are all very repetitive so once you learn the material you're getting easy points.
