She's good at explaining what she wants you to know, but there are a lot of errors in her handouts and tests. She tries to make stats fun (is that possible?). Watch out for the test and her strict point system - even though its a stats class, she doesn't grade on a curve!

If stats is your least favorite subject, you will be pleasantly surprised. The semester was enjoyable and the material was made interesting and pertenant. Dont miss class, study your lecture notes and turn in all the Homework, classwork and extra credit and a good grade will surely follow.

Very cool teacher!! She is nice, fun, and her lectures are very interesting. She has truly made be love psychology. Tests are very straight foward. Take notes and listen and you'll do fine. She also give you 2 papers to write, but they are interesting assignments, not a drag at all!

I'm gald I had professor Wimsatt for statistics. She gives you chances for extra credit, how can you not take that chance?! She did her best to make this math class as enjoyable as possible. I liked her

This was my last math class to take and Mrs.Wimsatt was great.When I was having trouble she made it very easy to talk to her. As boring as Stats is she made it very fun to learn it.

She's the bomb! She goes out of her way to help you if you need extra help. She gives different examples if you don't get one and goes at a good speed. If you ask a question she doesn't go on till u get it and will spend extra time on you alone till u get it.

Go to class, you will NEVER, and I mean never know when points will be available. She says that quizzes will always be on the last meeting of the week and classwork the first, but it never turned out that way. Notes are useless, as they are the same in the book. So try as little as you can, and you'll get a B as she gives a grip of EC

Statistics is not a fun subject, but Carmen is a fun teacher. She makes the subject as interesting as possible and she relates the material to everyday life. If you must take Stats, she is the instructor to get you through it. Highly recommended!

At first teachers views seemed dogmatic, but at the end of the semester it became clear her opinions from an educated viewpoint is knowledgable of the other side. I loved this class. The only problem is that she is disorganized. This is a VERY EASY CLASS. All it takes is a little studying before the test. Quizzes are given every week. They are extremely easy. It is all based on the lectures.

great teacher!! very understanding, and is willing to give anyone as much help as they need to understand the material. the class is not hard. took it during summer, so there were daily quizes on the previous day's material. tests were not bad either, all you have to do is study!!

I was 15 years old and i got a B+ in her class,best prof! Her hw are basic, she either gives u question from the book or research. Mostly all her quizzes are multiple choices that are 5-10 questions. Everyday she will tell u a story of her life to give you an ex. of what shes talking about, TAKE THIS CLASS!! I'm planning on taking her other classes

The only hard thing of this class was the final and mid term but if you get good grades in her quizzes (there short and easy) and do the research paper you'll pass the class with a B. Oh, yeah and the research paper do at the end of the class was hard but worth it if you want psychology as your major. good/fair/funny prof

She curved my mid term and my final. Funny teacher, sweet heart. Hw is easy,loves to tell personal life stories related to the subject were learning, has experience of being a social worker.

Wow, I can't believe this teacher got so many bad ratings. I had a class once a wk and i skimmed the chapter and read my notes an hour before going to class. i got an 90.1. As long as you take notes, you'll be fine on the weekly quizzes. and her lectures are SOOO INTERESTING. She's got some pretty amazing stories. Exams are based off the textbook.

Honestly not a hard class if you put the effort in. i did all the homework and studied for the test and ended up just fine. she gives you all the extra credit in the world. ended up with a 89.7 with the extra credit. and shes a down to earth teacher

You can't go wrong in her class. Simple math, just plug in the numbers for the formulas which you dont have to memorize. Loads of extra credit and barely any homework. Really nice and fun teacher. Great stories. Makes stats super easy. Quiz every week, not hard though at all. No studying if you just go to class and pay loose attention.

Must have a general understanding of math to do well. I hate math, let me just say that first and foremost. Stats starts out easy and just gets harder. She will explain it to you as much as possible in the time that she has during class. She also has office hours, and we had a day off where she just sat in the class and helped me understand it. I thought I would never get it, but thanks to her I did!

I absolutely loved her class! tough, lengthy, tedious subject and she gives you PLENTY of practice and extra credit. She strives for you to understand and apply the work. shes super patient and super helpful. I really benefited!

The class is tough but if you show up, DO HOMEWORK, try and COMMUNICATE with her when struggling then you will be fine. She is a good professor and she does care about her students. She just doesn't deal with BS. Come ready to work, but she will help you. I would take the class. I've taken STATS twice before and she's the best I had.

She is a wonderful, caring and hood teacher. Gives loads of hw and classwork but its all reasonable. Easy to get an A if you actually do sht. Very reasonable as in she won't test you on things that she hasn't taught you, given you classwork and hw on. Stats itself is very tedious but she makes lectures bearable.

She's a pretty funny. Math is my weakest subject & as long as you DO THE WORK & STUDY HARD you'll pass. Doesn't post grades so you don't really know your grade until it's submitted, but she comes in clutch at the end. Taught very good life lessons. Hard to reach outside of class. Some things you need to self teach, but overall, she's on your side.

I took Professor Wimsatt for Psych 1 and she is one of my favorite professor's I've had at Pierce. Although she is a little unorganized, you will learn a lot during her class. Lecture is never boring, and as long as you do your work you will get a good grade. Plus she's a super interesting person, and has a cool story. I would suggest taking her.

Statistics is not an easy class but Professor Wimsatt will help you through it. Her lectures are clear and thorough. Of course you must read the text book and do the work or else you're never gonna pass. She's a good teacher and hilarious as well. To top it off she offers several xtra credit so take advantage.

stats might seem intimidating @ first but once u understand the method of each test, its practically the same method for any problem she gives u. Quizzes are worth a lot so study for them! Reading is mandatory. If u miss a single class you ultimately jeopardize your grade. Just b serious & show her u care. Easy midterm & final- if u do all the work

Took Stats twice and dropped the classes before W since I was failing. This Professor is the real Stats Professor you want. She motivated me to study it, participate, and help others pass the course. She is very understanding toward students and will go out of her way to help and will help you understand the theory before moving forward.

I took this class in the Spring. She's very funny and helpful if you don't understand the concepts. Ask for help she will stay after class and go over the material if your struggling. Will set up weekend tutoring however, requires a certain number of persons willing to attend for her to met up. Don't drop she give lots of extra credit.

Professor Wimsatt is by far the most caring professor I have ever had. She did not want any student to not pass her class and went out of her way to help everyone. She gives a lot of extra credit which is very helpful for those that may mess up on an exam here and there. She is funny and extremely helpful. You'll pass this class if you show up.

This class is an extremely difficult subject for most no matter what professor you have. Professor Wimsatt teaches the concepts and formulas extremely well and clear. She sets clear expectations and gives many chances to retry and submit concepts for partial credit. She doesn't put up with nonsense so if you don't pass it is your lack of effort.

I definitely recommend this professor. The class itself does require a lot of time and concentration, as it is a research methodology class. The professor makes it very easy to complete the assignments. She takes everything step by step and is very understanding. The class requires a presentation as the final project, along with a final paper.

I was really nervous to take research methods but prof. Wimsatt made it easy. She works with you until you understand all the material. She really cares and takes the time to make sure you succeed.

She can be a bit meh when grading, and takes a bit to respond. Her class was fairly easy and you should be able to pass with no issues.

SO EASY I haven't finished the semester yet but she is my favorite professor so far. She is extremley helpful and her lectures are so understanding. If I could I would take this class again.

Her lectures consisted of both the curriculum, but she made sure to also give life advice! It was very helpful and aided me in deciding how I take my education going forward. Very friendly, considerate, and the class wasn't hard to pass! Slightly inconsistent with communication but it did not majorly affect the grade.

I am NOT a Statistics fan. However, Prof. Wimsatt is a v caring teacher. She explains concepts until you truly understand. Made lectures interesting & held study sessions at later hours for students who worked full time. Went out of her way to be helpful. Yes a bit slow w email replies but will eventually.
