Easy class. I didn't need to open my textbook, but it depends on how quickly you grasp concepts. Anderson doesn't go into too much detail, really. Good if you want an easy class, somewhat disappointing if you're actually interested in psychology. Very basic.

This was a very interesting class. Textbook was well written. Grading format involves multiple choice weekly quizzes based on powerpoint presentations/textbook reading. Also a short answer/essay midterm and final. 1 research paper. Plenty of extra credit opportunties. No excuse to not get an A. Very easy class compared to other courses at BCC.

Carol is AWESOME! Seriously, first I got C's on the 3 quizzes, but I ended up with an A! Midterm and final aren't hard, just study and know your stuff. I like the way she breaks the class down in terms of what we learned. MANY extra credit opportunities (I did all of them) and sometimes take home quizzes :) Just put in effort like you mean it!

Excellent class. She is extremely clear when explaining concepts and is very willing to help if you are confused by an assignment. 10 mult choice quizzes and short answer midterm/final. Definitely the best class I have taken at BCC

While she is extremely goofy and a little scatter-brained (she makes you feel a bit like you're still in highschool), the information she presented was straightforward and interesting. I looked forward to her classes, and her work load was managable and often enjoyable. A great class for beginning psych!

Very good teacher, I learned a lot. Funny, tries to act like she doesn't know much about pop culture but she really does! Attendance is key and kinda runs her class like a high school class, but other than that she was great. Quizzes were easy and made them impossible to fail with study guides.

Carol: Extremely silly and a scatter brain-lol-BUT, ultimately, she's an awesome teacher and she wants everyone to get to know one another in class. The class is very interactive and fun. You'll NEVER be bored. She cares very much about her students and tries to remember everyone's name. Read the book and take notes when she lectures. Multiple choice tests every week and exams are super easy. I look forward going to class. She's the best instructor I've had so far.

Carol takes great interest in her student's academic understanding. She is very lenient when considering life circumstances. Offers tests to be taken outside of class, but be prepared to offer Dr.s' note for sick absences. TAKES ATTENDANCE EVERY DAY. Few take home tests. E.C. offered every quiz. M.C. quizes are easy if you read the chapter.

Taking her class was a great experience and I highly recommend her, she makes it interesting and interactive. Show up to class, take good notes and you?ll do well.

She is a great teacher for basic level students. She allows students to ask never ending stupid questions and gets off track easy. She goes over the subject matter in a power point, offers a study guide and the book is idiot proof. I'm not sure how you could get a bad grade in this class.

Best psychology teacher. She does give quizzes every week but it's really easy and just from the POWERPOINT she post online. If you think this class is hard u must be foreign and must have an IQ less than 90 for sure:) The test is easier than her quiz becuase she gives u the EXACT notes for the test and it isnt even comprehensive

this class was really easy and pretty much a review of my psychology class in highschool, my class in highschool was way harder and i had to study 100 times harder and learned so much more in that class than i do in this one. she doesn't always answer your questions but its a really easy class but you dont learn much

Always willing to help, I actually looked forward to this class!! Went into the class not really knowing what to expect. She goes into thorough detail during her lectures, If you simply attend the class and take a few notes the quizzes are a breeze as well as the tests of which she provides a study guide with the exact material! Yey!

Wonderful instructor-- very clear with what is expected from you and what will be on the quizzes. Straightforward, organized, at times a bit boring-- she didn't allow much time to discuss aspects students found interesting.

I loved this class, and though carol was a lot of fun. She likes interaction with the class, so if you don't have that then it's probably going to be pretty boring. Do the homework (which is suuuuuper easy), study for the quizzes and when she lectures just write everything on the board and you'll be fine!

The class was pretty easy if you aren't an idiot. Didn't even open the textbook the whole quarter; just do the video assignments and the writing assignments, which are kind of fun. Didn't write a single note all quarter and got a B+. Would've gotten an A if I wasn't distracted half the time: I thought she was pretty attractive.

Carol is a wonderful teacher. I have had her for both social psychology and abnormal psychology and she makes learning so interesting. She relates the topics to every day life which makes understanding easier. Tests are every week on the chapters, so as long as you do the reading you will do great! I highly recommend her, she knows her stuff!

Easy class but don't take her unless you're OK with being bored often. The textbook she uses is boring and the online activities for the class are outdated and pointless. Still an easy A though.

Carol loves psychology, and she makes it clear while she is teaching it. Her quizzes are very easy and she is very clear about what is expected on assignments. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend her to anyone who needs to take this class. Follow directions, turn things in on time, and an easy A is guaranteed :)

I was worried about this class at first, but Carol is literally AMAZING. If someone doesn't understand something she will MAKE SURE she explains it fully. You have to participate and ask questions if you don't understand though. She makes the class so fun and I look forward to it. Would take again!! You have to take a lot of notes though

Carol is a great professor. She will go out of her way to make sure students understand the material. Pay attention during lectures and do the weekly reading and you will pass the class.

I wouldn't recommend taking any psychology course that meets only twice a week because the class was a little rushed, but Carol narrowed down the material and told us what we needed to know exactly for the tests. Manageable workload. Very,very concise study guides that reflect EXACTLY what will be on the test. Lots of extra credit

3 weeks into the quarter and I am really enjoying my class with Carol! She is very helpful and will go out of her way to answer all your questions. Her lectures are easy to follow and does in class activities as well. If you listen in class, participate in the activities, and do your homework, it should be a smooth quarter. Definitely recommend!

I loved Carol! She has such a great personality and made teaching fun. She makes an effort to make sure they're learning the subject and she always has great metaphors to help. If she is unable to come to class or people have difficulties with assignments, she'll extend the date. Highly recommend if u wanna learn about psychology and get an A

First time taking hybrid class and it went smoothly. Great teacher. Explained material well and answered all questions. Quizzes once a week and exams once every 2-3 weeks. Not a hard class.

She is awesome. The only assignment is one quiz per weekend and it is sooo easy. Then there are three exams which are pretty easy as well because she gives a thorough study guide. She made me love psychology!! took her for 101 as well.

Great professor! Her slides and lectures are helpful and she offers extra credit once in awhile. She has a good sense of humor, so she's pretty funny at times and not super serious like other instructors. She let us retake our lowest graded quiz; it's obvious she cares and wants all her students to do well. I recommend if you need to take PSY100!

My FAVORITE teacher at BC! She is insanely fun and happy and fails to bore her students. Alot of material is covered in the lectures but you have access to her lectures online too. There are a decent amount of easy papers, and the tests are easy A's if you study from the lectures. LOVED her!!! I would take all my classes from her if I could.

Lecture is guided by PowerPoint (available in advance on canvas). Open deliberation and participation is encouraged. Be prepared to do in class group projects. Flashcards, and Study guides are also available on Canvas. USE THEM AND YOU WILL EASILY PASS. Extra credit is offered spontaneously.

Carol is such an amazing professor. She is so caring and kind. She lectures off of powerpoints that are accessible online, so if you can't make it to class, you won't fail (though attendance is worth points). There is not a lot of homework, so the homework you do get it worth more. Tests are based off of lectures, so it is a pretty easy A.

Carol was amazing! She recognized everyone and knew their names. She was also always accessible outside of class and through email to answer questions. The class was very interesting and relevant to the real world. I would recommend PSYC240ith professor Anderson to everyone!

I took a hybrid class so there is a lot of work outside the actual classroom but guidelines were clear and assignments were given weekly so we were well prepared.

She's pretty old fashioned when it comes to teaching, but that works for most people. She doesn't allow any electronics in class which was a bit of a pain. She really knows what she's talking about and is really enthusiastic. Altogether a pretty easygoing class.

This was an awesome class! I learned so much! We had quizzes each week, a couple of in class group activities and 3 bigger exams. Study guides are provided for the quizzes and and she even tells you what is going to be on the exams if you just show up to class. I honestly loved this class and Ms. Anderson. She super nice and down to earth to help you learn. I see people complaining about how the class is boring, and the reason they said that is because they didnt participate in discussions. 3 tests (in class), 1 weekly quiz (timed on canvas). Attendance is mandatory.

She is super nice and genuine. Her lectures are super straight forward and I had such an easy time in her class. If you don't care about psych and just wanna get a grade, you'll have a hard time. If you just care little, you'll definitely pass. She's literally so easy, if you are having a hard time, you probably are not paying attention in class.

Honestly the best professor I've had so far at Bellevue college. Anderson clearly cares about her students, she is funny, she makes psychology easy and fun. I absolutely cannot recommend her enough, although her teaching style is pretty textbook driven, she knows her stuff and is easily approachable and friendly.

I loved Ms. Anderson. This class gave a brief introduction to psychology and definitely left me wanting to learn more. I'm not sure why there are negative reviews because she was an amazing professor. She offered extra credit, optional lectures, and was available outside of class. It's clear she really cares about her students. Take her!

What an amazing Professor! She was very kind and understanding, making sure her students understood the material and felt comfortable. She cares a lot about her students and their learning and it really shows. Willing to work with you if you're having a tough time. 10/10 would take a class with her again!

Prof Anderson is one of the best professors i've had. Basically watch the weekly slideshows and recorded lectures (or attend them live). There are 3 exams but no final and they are super easy if you just do the quizzes and study. There is a textbook to read but i found that i could pass with just watching the slideshows and attending class. Great!

Very understanding and nice. Answers questions and makes discussions fun. There is a lot of repetition in this class but the assignments are fun as there is a variety. Overall makes the class feel comfortable talking especially since I had an online class. Solid teacher would recommend.

Very easy to communicate with and assignments are spaced out throughout the week. Professor Anderson does post about 2 to 3 video lectures per week to watch that go over the textbook more in depth (reading the book and watching the videos do take a lot of time!). Overall, great professor and super nice and understanding!

took her for general psych. she's very enthusiastic. there is a textbook you will use, "Psychology in Your Life: 3rd Edition" (Grison, Gazzaniga). she covers chapters 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 14. she lectures through powerpoints, which you can download. the way i took notes was copying from the pps. i would take her again

Extremely fun person to have around. Her lectures are solid and you won't encounter anything on a test that you weren't taught in class. If you want to take general psych she's a fantastic teacher to choose.

I really like this Professor. Her lectures are decent, her grading is fair, her tests are fair, and her grading criteria is clear. What makes this Professor so good is the amount of resources she gives you. Flash cards, study guides, practice tests, you name it, she has it. She gives you all the resources you need to get an A in her class.

Professor Anderson is a friendly person and her course on Canvas is organized well. There is a quiz every week, but you are allowed to use notes. She gives enough time for her students to turn in work. There was no midterm or final test, but there was an open note final refection. I would definitely take another one of her classes in the future.

carol assigns 2-4 assignments per week and she can be a heavy grader at times but as long as you follow her rubric youll get an A. She also grades off of attendance so make sure youre paying attention to her lectures.

Professor Anderson is friendly and understanding. The class has quizzes and an open-note final, no midterm. Doable if you keep up with the weekly videos and readings. unstuck ai was a great study tool alongside the class materials.

This is the second time I have taken Professor Andersons class, she is extremely kind and passionate about psychology. The class itself was not difficult per se, but there were a lot of assignments that were easy to forget or get overwhelmed with. She has a good late work policy, and is very responsive to messages. I really like her, great class!
