Her quizes are very hard and count as 30% of your grade. She knows her math but does not teach it very well. She does not slow down when asked. I would never take her again. She is not helpful. Not good quality.
If you struggle with math/are just trying to pass for your degree (like me), this is not the teacher for you. However, Carol Cordova is nice and holds extra study groups to help you. But she is VERY hard. She has quizzes every day and her tests are difficult. She has high expectations! If you are moving on to a higher math classes, take her.
She has an awesome personality if she likes the people in the class. She jokes around alot. But her teaching is a little off. She speeds through stuff and doesn't explain it well enough. She relies on you to basically teach it to yourself before class. I ennjoyed class, not happy with her tests and quizes though. Definitely a hard teacher.
She comes across as very cold and unapproachable. She does speed through the work and leaves it up to you to figure it out.
She goes too fast and 22 out of 26 students have failed the first two tests.
Carol Cordova is extremely unhelpful. If you have difficulty with math do not select her as your instructor. She doesn't care about students.
Worst teacher I've ever had. Extremely unhelpful. Expects you to already know everything, and if you don't, you have to teach it to yourself. She treats you like you're stupid if you don't understand math. Even if you're good at math, do not take her class.
She is a very good instructional teacher. She will go over anything as many times as needed for students and will always slow down if you remind her. Her class is hard, but is worth it for you to actually learn the information. If you don't like to go to class, do your homework or put effort into your own education this class is not for you.
Carol Cordova is an EXCELLENT instuctor. She is precise and speaks to her students in the language of Mathematics. She goes out of her way to let her students know that she is there for them if needed. She encourages study groups, and will help you get the help needed. An excellent teacher. I can not wait to take her again.
Don't take her. Hard tests, no calculator. Almost the whole class failed the last test and she did nothing about it.
There are 3 tests, which add up to 50% of the overall grade in the class. The final adds up to 20%, and will replace a test grade. Pop quizzes are 30%. Tests are HARD. No schedule is given, so you never know what chapters to study ahead for. Love her adorable quirky personality, but don't like her teaching style.
I am almost done taking her class, and I am so thankful that I had her as a teacher! The class is super tough and hard to catch on to; but come on, it's COLLEGE ALGEBRA. It is going to be tough. Be prepared to put in a lot of hours to prepare for her 4 exams. She is so amazing at giving opportunities for help. If you need it, she will come.
Was not helpful. Was frequently late to class. Was not clear in her lectures. She talks too fast. Does not thoroughly explain things. Gave quizzes following her lecture over the same subject that she had just lectured about. We were not given a schedule to let us know what material we would be coveringwhen tests and quizzes would be.
Cordova speeds through lectures; this makes it very difficult to absorb the material fully. Also, she seems to rarely show up for the study group that she offered to my class. She told my class that "if you show up to class, do homework as assigned, and study for tests.. you should be getting about 75% on your tests." I wouldn't recommend her.
Cordova goes crazy fast in her lectures. She says she will answer any questions, however, she never turns away from the board to see that you need help. Her tests are hard; no amount of studying helps. She does have really helpful study groups though. We had well over 50% drop rate in my class; of the 10 left at the end, half of them were failing.
Lets starting by saying being in her 8 week class I've learned more at home than I ever did in her lectures. She goes at a lightning speed and hardly ever explains the steps.
I'm so mad I took her class. Homework versus test questions are completely different. She races through 3 sections a day. She gives homework, but it's not for a grade. Miss a day when there was a quiz? Can't retake it. It's a 0. Wish I would've dropped like the other 75% of the class did.
She speeds through lectures and goes over at least 2 sections per class. Her tests are hard and nothing like the homework she assigns. She also doesn't give out reviews for the tests. If you struggle with math at all, do not select her as an instructor.
Cardova is the worst math teacher I have ever had. Math doesn't come easy to me but when there's a good teacher I can at least do decent. She runs through her lectures extremely fast and when she says shes there to "help you" she just says look back at my lecture notes. Her tests have NOTHING to do with what she taught in class or what we learned!
Brutal class. Pretty sure I was highest grade in class and I got a B. By the end of the year only 8 people showed up to take final. We were talking before class started and 4 of them said they were going to fail class most likely but were taking a chance they might pull something crazy off on the final. Tests and Quizzes are rough.
Very brilliant mathematician however she expects everyone to be little Albert Einsteins. She told my class "you wont pass unless you took my Math 110 class". 35 students started and only 7 were left after the withdrawal date...
I hate math, and so obviously I wasn't expecting much. She goes through 2-3 sections in the class, and then in the last 20 minutes shes gives a pop quiz over something you learned last week. Its not an easy class and she doesn't teach very well. The only good thing is that she knocks off 1 quiz grade, and replaces the lowest grade.
She isn't very helpful at explaining things and just expects you to know all the steps to the problem. She teaches very fast paced if thats what works for you. she says she there to help at her group meetings before and after class but she explains things in the exact same manner but it's like taking a whole additional math class.
I took Carol Cordova for MATH 40 and ended up with a "B" in the course. Yes, math is hard... I do not think that the other reviews of her are fair. Again, math is hard. She is clear with her expectations, and she will give you allowances if you show interest and participate. I liked her. Plus, she is fun to look at...
Mrs. Cordova is an excellent mathematician. Her criteria for grading is clear, and she'll drop one test grade (if you take them all.) She is friendly, and willing to work with you one on one during her study groups.
worst professor I ever had
Like she doesn't care about the struggles of a non-math person. seems very snotty and all about herself. great at math- not so much teacher.
Cordova is a great teacher, teaching a very tough subject. Most math teachers are poorly rated, but it's typically the subject rather than the teacher. She will help you with your grade and your work if you treat her with respect and care about her class. She also allows full phone usage, it's nice to be treated like an adult.
Takes off majority of points on a problem for small mistakes. She is very scattered in her discussions. She loves to talk about her personal life instead of math. Rarely gives extra credit. Gives homework every night. No study guides. I would not recommend her as a teacher, I ended up more clueless at the end of the course than at the beginning.
If you are unsure about your skills in math, don't be afraid to take her class. You will work to get an A, but you will be prepared for the next step in your degree plan
I don't have enough characters to go into detail as to why you should absolutely not take any of her classes. In short - does not care if you succeed, encourages you to NOT ask her for help, covers huge amounts of material in each class, no review, no study guides, extremely tough grader. I have straight A's but a F in her class. It is ridiculous.
Very hard to follow her lectures. I think she is a nice person, just not a very good teacher. I have never taken a math class before where the teacher was so removed from one on one help with students. Nothing against her personally, but I would not recommend taking her classes.
Assigns hw every night, rushes through material, & shows no mercy. Tells you straight up that if you fail the course it won't affect her, and she doesn't care if you come or don't come to class bc its your grade. (I guess she treats you like an adult) Personally i struggle with math & this teacher did not work for me, eventually had to drop class.
I honestly enjoyed Cordova's class. She's a good person and she really wants everyone to succeed. Her class is tough but that's every math class, so you better be ready to study. Make sure you stay on top of things so you're prepared for the quizzes.
Yes you will have homework every night because it is a math class. Yes you will be tested and graded on your knowledge because again this is a math class. Carol teaches you the material through lecture and does a great job! She is always willing to help and encourage you. I truly believe if I had not taken this class with her I would have failed.
Prof Cordova genuinely cares about students. She assigns a lot of hw to help you. Gives hints t/o semester/lectures about what to watch for on tests /quizzes, then tests on those exact questions. Wants to see effort and engagement & if she doesn't she will rightfully have no sympathy. I think neg reviews are from people that didn't exhibit that.
Very sympathetic, and understanding about circumstances outside of class. Gives you every opportunity to pass.
I have always struggled with math, for the 1st time I get it. Ms. Cordova is always willing to help, IF you ask. This is college people, she's not paid to baby you. The grade I get I earned. She's very likable & knows her stuff. You have to do homework, its only way you pass class, ya gotta actually learn something. I would take her class again!
She's fun & nice and really knows what shes doing. However, she teaches WAY WAY too fast & doesn't go into depth at ALL. She assumes we understand what she is teaching just as well as she does but that's not the case. Everyone is failing & more than half of the class dropped. I do not recommend her at all unless you are a very very quick learner.
NOT a fan of her, she doesn't care about her students. I have never failed a class before until i took her. Not to mention about 3/4 of the class dropped. She teaches at a quick pace and her tests are very difficult. She thinks we are Einsteins and know how to do everything as easily as she does. Sorry, we don't have a Masters Degree like you do.
Never before have I had to turn in so many exams with problems left completely blank. The "R" in 120R is for "review", so you would think that the class is geared toward struggling math students. Wrong. At the least, half (being generous) of the material is new and high-level math, and I only wish I could've dropped it like 75% of the class.
Poor, very very poor. In high school I excelled in math but hadn't taken it for 2 years. I thought the R for review would be geared towards me to get me back into the math grind. Wrong, she expects you to already know the stuff. Grades are 3 tests, 10 or so quizzes, 1 final. Gave us a quiz first day back from winter break. STAY AWAY PLEASE.
Lectures are hard to bear. She has OCD & will say it everyday. Very fast in teaching. You can view her Facebook page & hear about her personal life a lot. If you have a problem with teachers not staying on topics, stay away. She will tell you she already been lecture about spending time talking about her life by division chair so don't waste time
Love carols personality but her class is just too difficult.
Ms. Cordova is a great teacher, she tries very hard to engage the class to participate. You have to do the homework, no its not graded this isn't high school. You don't get easy points just to pass. You have to earn your grade!! Beware of negative comments on here, ppl are salty, they are not accurate to her teaching style or her classes.
The critiques on here are very unfair. I am a returning student who failed this class the 1st time. You have to go to every class to pass!! People who received failing grades earned them! Each test has built-in extra credit. She offers you to go to her other classes which I did. Suck it up buttercup this is COLLEGE!! You have study & go to tutoring
Attendance isn't mandatory but there are several pop quizzes that are a good chunk of your grade. Ms. Cordova has extremely difficult tests. Lots of students drop this class. Tests are made intentionally extremely difficult. I made almost 100% in my algebra class before this one and failed her class. Retook it with another professor and did great!!
Math is not easy for me, but I attended everyday, I stayed in communication with the teacher. I used her tutor and listened to her recommendations. She never gave up on me and was available. I passed the class and I appreciated her genuine spirit, she knew I was trying. I got the credit and it will transfer! I would take her again.
I am BAD at math, it's a difficult concept for me. BUT, Mrs Cordova was available, provided encouragement and directed me to her tutor. I passed her class and I'm happy. I didn't expect it to be easy, but I would take it again because she cares about you if you care about yourself and do what you are suppose to do.
she is very nice and fun! she is very easy and makes it very clear for what is expected from you. You can pass the class if you do what she expects.
Shes really nice and funny but gahhdang shes talks fast its like Im sitting in an auction and when I look down at my notes and look back up she already completed the question like bruh what just happened. Its just mainly that shes goes faster than usain bolt I dont know what just happened but shes cool for the fast people.
Cordova is the best professor I have taken at MCC. You have to work for your grade. It is definitely a very hard class. She is so funny and she really wants you to learn the material -- not just memorize it to pass her class. I learned more in her class than I did in 12 years of math. I feel very prepared for College Algebra. TAKE HER!!!
SHe is funny and overall a nice teacher, but does not slow down to explain things, she is very fast paced and if you can't keep up you're left behind
Miss Codova is an extraordinary teacher. She inspired me to aspire to reach her level of understanding in algebra. Very down to earth, a real person, not just an instructor. She'll have you smiling while doing algebra, now that says a lot!!!! Clear on expectations, lectures clearly. Just meet her expectations and you will succeed in this course!!!
MATH 95*thought this class would be fairly easy and great to review before going to college algebra. Thats where I was totally wrong. This proffesor is very unprofessional and always telling stories about her life. Get ready to learn 5-7 sections from the book a lecture and take a quiz over it next lecture. If you can, take this with another prof.
She really helped to prepare me for my later math classes as well as future classes in general, whenever I had a question in class she was more than happy to help me and took the time to make sure that I understood it before moving on. Her class was hard but fair and she a unique personality and sense of humor that made lectures more enjoyable.
DO NOT take her. Thinks because she did it alone with 3 kids, and a job that everyone else should be fine, study and only focus on her class, and spend your life doing hw. exams are hard. Goes super fast, wont slow down even if you ask, or tell her you dont get it. No study guides. I wish I would have listened to the people who said not to take he
She did a good job at explaining and letting you know what she want a from you. I really enjoyed her class.
First off you have to everything her way exactly or it wont work for her . Extremely passive aggressive and will make you look stupid. Taught myself most of the material and tutors did more teaching than she did . Wish I could say something nice
I grew to like Ms. Cordova, she is a sweet person that wants her students to succeed. She goes fast during lecture, ask questions or go to office hours, she has candy! Attendance/homework is not mandatory, but show up to class & do the homework or you won't pass. She is super chill but expects you to learn the material and will quiz you over it.
You learn about 3/4 different lessons each day of class and if you don't show up, you better get notes from a classmate. She gives random pop quizzes that you can't make up. The exams are pretty hard. Most importantly, you have to work really hard for your grade! Use the math lab for help. She can be strict about wanting things a certain way
If you're bad at math then good luck!Math 95 is supposed to be basic math but it's not. It's mostly college algebra. Cordova highly praises the math lab, but in my opinion they didn't really help much. She lectures heavy and gives lots of homework everyday. She takes forever to put in grades and isn't much help outside of class. Wouldn't recommend.
If you dont do your homework then youll fail. Everything is her way or no way. She teaches you how she got taught and youll be perfectly fine. Dont let the poor or any negative comments scare you away. You will learn things that will prepare you for you later on classes
Shes a tough but very good teacher. I saw at first why people may not like her persona, but as soon as she taught, she showed you that she knew what she was talking about. Transferred out to be in a simpler class at a better pace for me, but she is definitely a great teacher who knows her stuff. An acquired taste, definitely deserves good ratings.
Carol Cordova is an amazing teacher and every one of you who gave her a bad reveiw are all just bad at math and can't listen well. She is the greatest teacher ever.
She is terrifyingly amazing. A must-have teacher if you suck at math because she will excessively explain every little detail to the point where math veterans like me will get confused. She's really big on "audience participation" which is a tad annoying but it helps people so whatever.
Save yourself the time and money and don't take any classes with her. I don't mind a faster pace but when she refused to repeat anything she's ever taught us because she's not "reteaching" it makes it almost impossible to pass. She gives no study guide or insight to what will be on tests. Only take this class if you have a photographic memory.
I am not a math student by any means! I took math 95 and learned so much! Good office hours, and tutors sit in on lectures so they know her teaching style and its like having an extra person to help explain homework etc. She does lecture a little fast for me, but allows plenty of time for ?s and doesnt make you feel stupid. Caring and so funny !
Cordova does not really seem interested in whether her students succeed or not. Shes hard to get in touch with, loves pop quizzes on things taught weeks ago, and her tests and quizzes dont resemble the assigned homework. Shes also extremely particular. Do not take her class unless you are ready to teach yourself everything!
Cordova is a great instructor. She does a nice job of breaking things down to make sure students understand. I took the condensed class (will never do again) & it was brutal. However, that wasn't a fault of Cordova's and I'd choose her again in a heartbeat. Frequent 1 or 2 question pop quizzes so be prepared.
Ms. Cordova is extremely smart and credible! She knows the material she is teaching, she never tried to confuse her students with jargon etc., and she never even made one mathematical error during lecture! If you want mathematical knowledge gain then take Ms. Cordova. My advice is to work the problems EXACTLY like she does on the board!!
She is not willing to work with students who have different learning needs. You do it her way or she will refuse to help you or allow the TA to help you. She will take her frustration out concerning her children's health on the class. Also, she does not have a PH.D, she is NOT a Professor, she's an Instructor. Quizzes every week. No Homework credit
I honestly hate math beyond measure. This was my second time taking Math95 and I wish I would have had her first because she would have helped everything make sense. She was great and caring. My only complaint was that she wasnt understanding when my quizzes failed to go through and I was left with zeros. Other than that, she was awesome!
Carol is not a bad teacher but I took her class during quarantine and there were a few aspects that I found were awful. She is not very caring and wont take any excuses. I was in the hospital during a test and she gave me a 0 without letting me take it. Her communication skills are very bad. Shell let you know you have a test an hour before.
Cordova is a horrible professor if youre not a math student. I am an education major who had to take her class to get my gen Eds and it was horrible. She wants everyone to be passionate about math as a community college. She also brought her conservative politics and family drama up multiple times during class. Find anyone else.
It's math, i dont hate the teacher i hate the subject. This is also college if people fail her class its because they didnt put in the work, do the work study and you'll pass, great teacher and will go over stuff you have questions about.
she would hardly teach the class, made it hard to do quizzes, does not understand personal problems that hamper your ability too do something but will complain about hers as a reason for not doing her job. makes the smallest thing the most tedious process and let alone expensive. All in all she made an already hard time even harder.
Its like she says, do things my way and things will go well for you. Do the homework, its literally the only way you will pass. Ask questions! As many as it takes. Show her your work by taking pics of how youre working the problem and shell show you where youre going wrong. I used to get Fs in all things Math but with her it clicked!
she makes math so much easier! She doesn't try and trick you on test. I will say though there were a couple of pop quizzes so make sure you're actually paying attention. Take her if you want an easy A!!!
She explains stuff well, I was very happy with the videos she made. Everything was easy to understand and I you don't understand, she has lots of office hours and will gladly show you again. She does give a quiz for almost every single class time, but they are usually just a couple questions.
does not give lectures at all. makes you work in groups but doesnt give answers or grade homework then gives random quizzes at end of class. if you are out she gives you zero on participation no matter the circumstances. requires a $150 book then uses an old one because she wont buy the new one
Throws a textbook at you and basically says teach yourself. The entire grade revolved around like 5 tests that only have 3-4 questions each with no partial credit on most. While she is nice that's about where it ends. She doesn't teach you. You teach you in this class.
Even with her bright smiles, she is very manipulative. Has a paranoia complex about people in her class cheating. Has long "rants" about how she used to cheat, this happens everyday class time. Will ridicule anybody for not understanding the problem. And treats the class like kindergarten. Words to wise, never pick her.
I've never had such a hard time with math. Between how much she assigns for homework, pop quizzes, and material on exams not being the same as on homework, this class was an absolute nightmare for a first-semester college freshman. I also took this class online in Spring 21, which definitely did not help. Very hard to keep up, especially full-time.
First off, she treats the class as a hybrid class, even though it was listed as an in-person class when enrolling. Has you do the lecture at home then you come in and work in groups she teaches nothing in class. She won't help the group if you need it. Pop quizzes are given almost every class. Shesays you need the new book but she uses the old.
Don't take her class. She doesn't explain anything, unless its her way. She does random pop quizzes that are tedious. Has periodic rants about how she used to cheat. And will pester you if you don't have a certain app to take photos of tests. If I was you, I wouldn't take her class if it was the only one available.
Don't take this professor, it isn't worth the money to take her class. She doesn't explain anything that isn't her way. She had pop quiz almost everyday even as she said your not having one. It's hard to trust her words even as she's teaching us. Likes to repeatedly rant about how she used to cheat in her old math classes. Even at random sometimes.
I have never left a rating before - but I felt like I would be doing anyone considering taking her Math 95 class an injustice if I did not share. I have dealt with many teachers & professors, but Carol is by far the worst. In short, she misses an insane amount of class periods & does not teach AT ALL. Complete waste of time & money.
If you are good at teaching yourself, you will be successful.
this is the worst professor that I have ever had and the hardest professor she doesn't do her job brings up lots of family drama and doesn't tell when test are and makes last minute work to do and is a very hard grader and the test are unbelievable hard and I go to ucla and this professor thinks her students are in Harvard
One of the hardest professor's at the school by far she will give you a 0 if you miss one problem
If you value passing a class and not wasting your money, do not take her class.
The only thing that saved my grade was extra credit But what anyone should know before taking her class(es) are unpredictable pop quizzes and tests that don't follow her teachings and TMI stories about her personal life and how she cheated on every math course when she was in school. Also another thing that I got from her class was anxiety. No thx
I took the eight-week online Math 120, and it has been awful. It has an online textbook, but the lectures are awful. There is so much homework and be prepared to work as fast. I recommend choosing someone else if you can or be prepared for this class to take up all of your time.
Cordova teaches like we have taken math 120 before. Gives pop quizzes and hard test with material we have not covered. Do not recommend more than 75% of the class dropped. She also is making us take exam 3, two days before the final. Fast pace is an understatement, she acts like that's our only class. Do not take her class.
I would recommend this professor to people who like to put effort into their learning. If you take time out of your day to do the homework, you'll likely pass this class. If you don't, then I doubt you'll pass. She will have random tests so make sure you stay caught up! There are also plenty of opportunities for extra credit which is really nice.
Secret to Math 120? Create a study group and use the math lab. Participation will matter more than you realize in this class. The class is a designed hybrid because you need to self participate with homework and lectures out of the classroom. Students need to self-manage in this class. Advice: Plan to be a week ahead of the syllabus.
Cordova teaches like we have taken math 120 before. Gives pop quizzes and hard test with material we have not covered.
I took trigonometry over the summer and the accelerated pace was difficult. Although it was hard to cover all material in a short 8-week course and there was lot of homework, it was clearly assigned, lectures clarified information, and grading was fair. She offered opportunity for extra credit through Group Me participation and math lab attendance.
I took her for the Math 95 Math 120 combo course and the work load was absolutely insane she tells you it'll be at least 6 hours a week outside of class and she means it. Lots of lectures to watch and you'll basically have to teach yourself. She also wastes way too much time talking about her person life and has a habit of canceling class.
she would just through tests in our laps, she never lectured she only told us to watch videos. she is nice but her teaching isnt the greatest.
By far the worst professor I've ever had in my life. Took pre-calc in high school and got an A. Took this to get an easy math credit since I'm not majoring in anything math-related. Instead I am likely going to fail my first class ever. Super unhelpful teacher with no care that all her students are failing and dropping. save yourself the struggle.
This was by far the worst professor Ive ever had. 80 percent of my class dropped the course while most of the ones who stayed failed the class anyway. You will have to learn all of the material in the class by yourslef with no help from the professor. Do not waste your time and money on this class!
Prof. Cordova was a amazing teacher and cared about her students. Be ready for around 5-7 assignments a week.
SAVE YOURSELF
Within two weeks of starting class, the shift from manageable algebra to calculus assignments made no sense as this was an algebra course. I had to have surgery and requested an extension for my assignments. She instead told me to drop her class and offered no help what-so-ever. Seriously, find a different professor. She's a horrible instructor.
Want an easy pass? Look elsewhere. Want to learn & retain algebra skills? Look no further. She loves teaching math & it shows. She's available during her office hours, stops in the math lab between classes & can point you in the direction of other students that can help you learn. Also be prepared to have someone pointed in your direction for help.
She is a nice and caring teacher, but I did not connect with the way she taught at all. I took trig in high school and almost got a b and I had to withdraw from this class. I think there is excessive homework to do and that its more difficult than it has to be.
I took the ALEKS version but she would take the time to explain concepts we didn't understand as though she was teaching a lecture course.
She started every single class talking about her personal life and would begin lecturing about 15-20mins into class. She then ran out of time towards the end of the year, so she would not get enough time to go through examples. Have to learn on your own, Quizzes are so easy, Test are 10x drastically harder. Worst teacher I've EVER had.
She's still teaching here? Why? Literally every student including myself nearing failed her class.
I really enjoyed the class. Yes, there is a lot of homework and quizzes, but it is nothing we cannot handle. If you want an easy class and learning nothing, then this is not for you. She will push you past your limits to make sure you are well off in your next math classes.
Summer Trig moved along at an accelerated pace because of time restraints. If you take the time and bring up any subject matter confusion during or after class, she'll try to work with you to figure it out. Also, offers some extra credit to help out. Everyone has an off day mentally at some point, so the Extra Credit helps.
Amazing professor, talks about her family, and has a great personality.
Amazing professor, fun lectures, talks about her family, gives extra credit opportunities, and great personality.
She is more than willing to help if you get stuck on something, but her tests are only 10 questions long. Smaller question pool means every question matters more, and there is no partial credit. Getting a single answer wrong drops the test a letter grade! And there is only two opportunities to take the tests.
A lot of the negative reviews on Ms Cordova, are probably from people who don't try, although the class was difficult, and I failed a few tests, I was able to come back and get a C just by putting some effort in. Good lectures, and a very nice teacher.
This class is no walk in the park. The professor pushes you to excel, with a lot of homework and quizzes. But if you put in the work, you'll be well-prepared for future math courses. I found Unstuckstudy helpful for study prep.
Challenging class with "optional" homework that barely ties to quizzes or exams. The professor often discusses personal life, runs out of lecture time, and assigns homework from various textbooks. Jokes about Rate My Professor reviews being dramatic and inaccurate . ECA? Do not take!!!
Greatest professor I've ever had!
Carol is kind, easy to talk to and has an obvious love for teaching and math. She went to the school board and requested a paid tutor for her classes so her students could receive the extra help they might need. She goes above and beyond to try and help people struggling. 10/10 would recommend. Math was scary before she made it fun.
The teacher gives a lot of work. She is cool but the amount of work she gives is way too much and tiring, if you have a job and you work just be ready to struggle a lot and have no sleep because you will spending your time getting all the work done that this teacher gives. I advise you to go for a different professor if you have the option to.
Use this teacher as a last resort for your own sake.
Wonderfully helpful professor, always happy to help when people had questions, posted videos on canvas, and made a Discord for outside help time from class. Very kind, and you could tell she wanted her students to succeed, unlike most other math professors. Class was mostly online, you did not have to attend unless tests were taken. Recommend 100%.
The worst. Test every class.
Do not take this class you will probably drop it
