Best prof! Incredibly knoweldgeable. She has a sense of humour and it is obvious she enjoys teaching. She cares about her student's success and is always available for help. She also offers us the opportunity to go to the lab in order to check out heart valves and such or to check out her research lab when we are learning about realted topics.

Carol loves the material which makes the class interesting! The final is cummulative (over 20 power points with 50+ slides each) very overwhelming!! If you attend class she gives you hints but she talks very fast! Make sure to do her study guides.

Loved Dr. Kroeker. Very exciting lecturer, really captivates the student's attention for the full 50 minutes with her constant relevant anecdotes and analogies. High energy, gives everyone an opportunity for a great grade. If you make the effort, attend your lecture, labs and review sessions, she'll pretty much spoon-feed you an A.

She speaks very fast and sometimes isn't clear which is one thing I didn't like. Her exams are tough because you need to know precise details!

I learned a lot from her. You must work hard to get the grade you want. The labs are actually not that bad compared to upper level labs. Just work hard!

Dr. Kroeker is by far one of the best, if not, the best professor one could hope for! She likes to test solely from her slides so she'll save you from having to buy the text and she is extremely passionate about the subject matter. Attendance is a must if you want hints on the exam questions. Outstanding prof overall!

Really gives you all you need to succeed in her classes, makes it interesting, she's happy to help in office hours. Read the study guides and know the answers to them and you'll do fine. Her MC questions are really hard, but if you know your content they're doable.

First off, I will say that you need to know your stuff for this class. It is not an easy pass. Her tests go, "a, b, c, 2 of the above, none of the above, a and b"so you really need to know your stuff. Otherwise, she's awfully hilarious and a greater lecturer. Her lectures were fun to attend, and she is very helpful. Just a tough exam writer.

One of the funniest profs ever. Her tests are really tough, memorize each slide of every powerpoint if you wanna get 90+ on the tests. She speaks really fast during lecture, make sure you attend because she gives hints about what questions are on the tests.

Probably the best professor that I've had so far within doing my Kinesiology degree. She is ALWAYS full of life and she is very knowledgeable! Unfortunately there's a whole ton of content to remember but that's how the course is. However, Dr. Kroeker is very clear on what we need to know for exams! She's also a hilarious professor! Hands down the best prof I have ever had! Dr. Kroeker is absolutely hilarious and so passionate about the subject. She gives great help and always tells you what you should know and what you should ignore for the tests. I've taken all of her courses and can honestly say she is the best!

Tons of content, but that's physiology for you. Really good about giving study reviews for exams, and letting you know what she expects for answers. Super enthusiastic and lots of fun. Have to pay attention in class or things won't make sense. Overall a great prof.

She makes an 8am lecture surprisingly fun. Her sense of humour really helps staying awake during an early class. She covers a LOT of content in one lecture and talks SUPER fast. Many of the questions on her practise exams are on the midterm and final. Overall a great prof!

If you don't mind hearing the word "okay" 100 times a lecture Kroeker's your gal. She is hilarious and extremely passionate about physiology. An excessive amount of content but you only need to know what are on her slides. Tests can be rough if you don't know content really well and are able to apply concepts and fatcs. All in all, love this women

One of my favourite professors! KNES259/260 cover a lot of information but expectations are presented clearly and tests are straight-forward (all MC, similar to practice tests). If you want a good laugh, don't skip the "reproductive physiology lectures". Kroeker is definitely a memorable prof.

Dr. Kroeker is the best of the best! Says okay a lot, but that is the only downfall. Talks quickly, and can cover a lot of info so preparation is key. Very funny and very engaging, makes sure that what she says is clear. Also, she is very open about what to expect with exams making it straightforward to prepare.

Carol is the real MVP! She is very intelligent, but unlike many other smart profs is actually able to communicate her knowledge effectively (and in an entertaining way!). She does cover material rapidly, but will slow down if asked & still ensures that she points out specific things that will be on the exam. If you attend lecture you'll be fine!

This was the hardest I have ever worked for an A in any of my uni classes, and I am in my final year. I am so grateful for Carol, her humour, and the hints she gave for exams. Do not miss class. Lab was tough as well but studying the material every week before actual lab helped me to memorize everything. Utilize open lab as well!

Kroeker was by far my fave prof this term. She is hilarious and very engaging. Her class was an absolute pleasure. Do not skip! I missed one class due to car trouble and had a bit of a hard time figuring out the content for myself. She makes it super easy to understand. Exams are very fair as long as you study. Carol is the best prof you/ll encounter in kinesiology. Stay on track and you'll do well. Her MC questions can get a little tricky but if you had her for 259/260, you'll be used to them by 323. Also loves giving bonus questions.

Carol is a real gem. If you have the option, always take her classes. She gives you all the notes, only grades you on the text in the notes, and goes over them all in more detail in lecture. Going to the lectures isn't mandatory to pass, but definitely worth while, and hilarious!

Dr. Gibbons Kroeker is a very energetic and funny person. Often makes people laugh. You DO NOT need a text book for this class as everything for the exam is taken directly off the PP slides. During the lecture she talks VERY fast, if you have a hard time following fast language I would not recommend her. Optional: visits to her lab outside of class

Will not test on anything other than what is written on her slides but to really understand and get an A, you have to attend lectures. Very funny and easy to get a hold of for help.

All of the bare-bones information is on the lecture slides, so if you have to miss youre okay. You can reuse the text book from 259/260. She is hilarious and super passionate so it makes it easier to learn the massive amount of information. She is good with bonus marks on tests and labs are straight forward.

This is a prof who is very passionate about what she does (you will find out very quickly) and she loves to talk! Lectures aren't too bad, sometimes students may find themselves tuning out but it won't take long before Carol has you again! Absolutely hilarious!

Dr. Kroeker is hilarious and so smart wow. Learn wiggers really well it will help you and focus on the details she tells you to know. Even though the final is not cumulative make sure that you still know some things from the first half to do the written response well.

Carol is one of the funniest people I have every met! She makes class very enjoyable and knows how to explain topics differently so you can understand. There's lots of content so you need to stay on top of studying. She usually sends emails to address what to expect on the midterm/final and some lab reports. I absolutely love this woman!

Most passionate prof I've met. She really cares about the content and wants you to do well. The black type is there but you do need to do the work to be able to understand what its saying. She also talks insanely fast, so your note taking skills or auditory retention needs to be in tip top shape. Gives you like 8-10 free questions on the final too.

Carol was hilarious. She goes through like 40 slides a lecture but she'll throw in some humour to make it bearable. She only tests off of black text from her slides and she basically tells you what will be on the exam. I got an A on both the midterm and final and didn't study till the day before.

Carol is an amazing professor. The content is extremely heavy and honestly can be very dry, but she manages to make lectures both interesting and hilarious. She explains things clearly and is crystal clear about EXACTLY what you'll be tested on. She gives amazing study guides and practice questions which she always pulls questions from for exams.

These classes (knes 259 & 260) were only graded on 2 midterms and 2 finals so there was lots of studying and the tests were alright. She speaks really fast and goes through slides super quick! Be ready to take quick notes.

Favorite teacher I've ever had. Gives hints during lectures on what she will test on. Full of hilarious stories and gets sidetracked easily when telling them (but it's totally worth it). For the lab write-ups, you are more than welcome to ask her for clarification and most times will guide or just give you the right answer. Highly recommend her!!

Carol's part of 259 wasn't as interesting as Reed's, but Carol is so knowledgeable and is so funny in her lectures. She goes into more depth than you need for the tests, but she makes the topics so easy to understand, and tells you what you should and shouldn't focus on for the tests. Super nice lady and really easy to get help from.

LOVE Carol she's hilarious, you don't really need to go to lectures but they're hella fun, lots of memorization but not too bad, lab is really fun with not horrible workload, just close to test time. Only 2 midterms and 2 finals lab and lecture 25% each.

Car is a great prof! Her lectures are entertaining and her explanations are clear. She communicates what will be on the test very clearly, and her questions are very similar to the practice ones. Come to class not only to pass, but to have a good time. She was one of my favourite profs.

Her lectures are pretty intense and very fast, but she makes it interesting. I had her at 8 am and never missed one of the classes because I loved her lectures so much. If you ask her questions one on one she is amazing at answering them and is super helpful. So beyond glad I had her!

Talks super fast so have your notes prepared, but somehow manages to explain concepts well with her fast pace. Lots of little stories that are super funny and entertaining. Gives so many hints to what will be on the exam, even told us 4 questions that she will ask during one lecture. Also, do the practice test!

Dr. Kroeker is genuinely one of the greatest professors in the Faculty of Kinesiology. She's absolutely caring and does her utmost to be accommodating to her students, as well as having hilariously entertaining and engaging lectures. Course content is rather difficult, but she is one of the few people to make this level of difficulty feel worth it.

So fantastic, I would take any and all of her classes. The multiple choice tests are really tricky but you actually learn the material. Hilarious lecture.

One of the most accomodating profs for the switch to online. She is completely transparent about a lot of things and does everything she can to make her class more enjoyable and easier, especially during the pandemic. Often hints about answers to a lot of things and sprinkles in fun bonus questions that are easy to get right.

I loved taking this class with Carol! You can tell that she is really passionate about the content and her students. There were weekly quizzes but they really helped to keep me caught up on lectures since they were pre-recorded. Tests were 100% lecture based so the textbook was not needed at all.

What an amazing prof! I have had Carol for many courses now, and she has teaching down to a science. Incredibly fair when grading, clearly states what will be tested, and gives the most entertaining and interesting lectures imaginable! she will tell you EVERYTHING ON THE EXAM. her practice exams had half the questions on the actual exam and she's really funny and engaging. It is a lot of slides tho about 70+ a day but there's a sentence on each slide. She's very good at explaining and the class never gets boring. She is funny, passionate, and knowledgable, making 8 am classes enjoyable to show up to. She tells you exactly what to know for the test and what to ignore. Her practice tests closely resemble what you will see on the exam. My favourite prof:)

Professor Kroeker is definitely one of the best profs in the university. She knows her content thoroughly and explains content very well. The downside to this class in general was being marked on only 4 tests, but she outlines specifically what to study for and gives practice tests and reference guides as well. 10/10 would take again for sure

This course was content heavy but she clearly outlines what you need to know and what you can ignore. She is really passionate about what she does and it is clearly seen in her teaching. She makes sure we were set up for success and her tests were always fair. She even uses some of the questions from the practice test on the actual exam.

I love Professor Kroeker. She is so kind and genuinely herself. She has so much passion for anatomy which is clear in her lectures (which are usually hilarious). She clearly outlines what content is important and often hints at what would make great exam questions. Lecture heavy, marked heavily on exams but she preps you well.

Carol is just about as good as you could ever get for a prof. Her lectures are entertaining, detailed and worth going in at 8am. The course only is marked on 4 tests but she prepares you very well, dropping hints in lectures and creating study guides that have some test questions too. Definitely should be considered as one of the best profs at uofc

An amazing prof

Best prof ever.

Kroeker is an amazing lecturer although recorded vids went overtime usually (Fall 2020-21). She sets you up for success by giving clear guidelines on testable information taking some practice questions and putting them directly on the exam. She tells you cool and relatable stories making things easier to grasp. One of my favourite profs by far!

I have never been bored in one of Carol's lectures. They are upbeat, even though they are at 8 am. She is very clear on the content that is needed for the exams.

Dr. Kroeker is an unbelivably caring and kind professor. It is very clear that she cares about her students well being. Her lectures are also very upbeat and very engaging! She clearly outlines what will be on the exams and is a very fair test writer.

She is a phenomenal prof!! Absolutely insane how she's able to make a heavy portion of the course (physiology) both enjoyable and easy to understand. Prepares you for her section of the exam SO well!!

Very good prof, she always manages to make the class laugh at the 8am lectures. One of my favourite classes- definitely attend lectures to help understand materials a bit clearer she puts lots of side notes during the lectures that are important. Clearly identifies materials and helps with understanding functions and slides are easy to understand.

I haven't finished Dr. Kroeker's NRSG 203 course yet, but she deserves this review as she is one of the best professors I have had the pleasure to work with. She is extremely accommodating and hilarious. Her work is easy to understand and she gives you many resources to work with. I wish I could have all my classes with her. She's an absolute gem

I LOVE this woman! She is everything you want a prof to be: smart, funny, caring, etc. She gives great lectures and she gives you SO MANY resources and practically tells you what will be on her tests LOL! God bless her soul she is adorable and also a highkey genius (search up her credentials hehe), I wish every prof taught like her!

Carol is absolutely amazing! Turns an 8am class into something I looked forward to every day. She has such a fun and bubbly personality, and is very knowledgeable on the material. Also responds to emails and communicates with the class in a timely manner. Tests are completely fair (and she gives pointers on what to expect). 100% recommend!

She was absolutely amazing, provided great information and explanations, was very clear and focused on important topics. Extremely funny made 8am lectures enjoyable. Tests provided some difficulty, but if you attend lectures you will do really well on them. Lectures are mandatory, super helpful to go she is very clear about what is on tests.

Great professor, very funny and passionate about what she teaches. I got an A by missing about half the lectures since she posts some videos and all her ppts are very detailed. I wouldnt bother with the textbook for Nrsg 203 or 204 unless you really want to use the anatomy software (I didnt).

Lots of content, but Carol made it understandable and was very passionate. Probably one of the best professors I've taken a class with! She gives practice for before exams and lets you know what's testable. If you put in the work you'll do well.

Great professor! You can tell she cares, and enjoys what she is teaching. Some of her online lectures get a little long because she is passionate about what she teaches - but that's great. Exam wise and test wise - its all very fair, you don't have to worry about catching all the little details, its about what's on the slides so its very fair.

She is amazinggggg. Miss her already. If you can, definitely take a class with her. Good mom vibes and advice, hilarious and down to earth. Expectations for exams are also very clear and she provides tons of great resources for studying!

Carol's portion of both units is the biggest, hence the "test heavy" tag. It is quite content heavy, you have to memorize the systems and be able to use them in scenario questions. Despite all this, I find all her questions on quizzes, midterms, and final exams to be absolutely fair. Advice: Link all the content together as you're studying :)

Best lecture videos out there, although very dense with material, she will highlight what will be on the exam and makes all the content clear.

WE LOVE HER

She is amazing, lets us know everything we need to know for the tests, and makes lectures worth going to at 8 AM. There is a LOT of content however she teaches in a way that allows us to understand as much as we need to.
