Some of the test questions are kinda tricky so watch out!! However she does review right before the test so it's not to bad.

Excellent teacher. Super enthusiastic. Highly recommended. The internet project takes longer than she says, so start early. Mostly women in attendance, so class kinda sometimes turns into a female "gab" session about the body, pregnancy, and child-rearing. Nonetheless, a terrific class and teacher. Take her class!

Excellent professor. Attendance is pretty much mandatory, but it's a good class, so no big deal. Pretty hard to not make an A if you do the assignments, go to class, and read the assigned reading. The book is interesting, so the reading goes by pretty quick. Her reviews right before the tests help a lot, but don't cover everything on it. Take her.

She's not a pushover though, so don't try! She lives and breathes teaching and she is excellent at it! You would be wise to register for er classes.

Don't get me wrong, this is one of the easiest classes and you learn a lot, but I gradually grew to dislike the professor. I started out really liking her and thought she was hysterical, but then I started noticing just how bias she is about everything and it gets a bit frustrating. She's still nice and interesting, just not my personal favorite

So, I took this instructor in an 8 week distance course. It was very, very easy. However, it was very mundane. The entire class was run through a psych internet program. I would have much preferred to do actual work from to time than just staring at words on a screen that were meaningless. Professor is lazy to set it up this way. Learned nothing.

I loved her. She will be there to help you whenever you ask. She is very interactive during lecture and has great stories. There were three multiple-choice tests for the semester. If you study, you will pass. And make sure to get the book with LaunchPad. There are also Blackboard Journals and Discussions.

Funny teacher and serious at the same time. Literally an easy pass if you read and do the homework given. Makes the class extremely interesting and is always energetic and smiling. Seems like her biggest pet peeve is late comers because she doesn't want you to miss ANYTHING and trust me you wouldn't want to either. BEST PROF OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She's very clear with what she expects and does not make it difficult for a student to get a good grade IF you do the work. It's not difficult. Her online class is fantastic! I was worried about taking my first online class, but I enjoyed the material and found the work to very doable. Online class consists of journal, discussions, and online quizzes. Read the textbook, and the rest of the work is easy! Perfect class to take over the summer. I will take her for PSYCH 2314 also!

She is a great teacher and if you make any effort in this class you can pass it. You must attend but if you miss a few you can make up the points with a quick chapter summery. Her tests are easy and she does a review the class before so if you have been keeping up with the reading, attend class and show up for the review you can't not get an A.

Online class requires online access purchase as 99% of assignments are on there. The other assignments are quick discussion sets on blackboard. Very easy to get an A if you do the work. Typically responds to emails within 24 hours. Interesting course but some subject matters are emotionally taxing to read about. Chapters take 2+ hours to complete

Truly one of the sweetest Professors I've had! Hawk cared for her students. The online class was textbook based, it included quizzes and short videos. Each week we had to post 2 comments on the blog and submit a short essay. Both were about what topics in the chapters interested you the most and why they are relevant. I adored her!

LOVE! 8 week online course-- 8 discussion board (2 chapter per week so 400 words for each chapter), online tests (timed) (most answers can be found on quizlet), very caring professor, quick grader, online homework but it is just completion. One thing I didn't like were video quizzes- 2-3 questions and can't rewatch video.

She is a developmental psychologist and her class did seem a bit biased cause she used a TON of examples that involved children but I guess that's just how she teaches. Lovely prof, highly recommend. You can get by with powerpoints but her homework assignments for Intro to Psych require you read the textbook. Class is pretty straight forward. You have to read two chapters a week, take a quiz for each chapter, write in a discussion board and write an 800 word paper on what you found interesting in the chapters. It's a lot of reading but you learn a lot and you get an easy A just by talking about what you learned and what you think about the material.

I LOVE when a professor is clear and organized, and Dr. Hawk definitely delivers! Her lectures are organized and interesting, and her slides are available on BB. She has mandatory weekly Discussion Board posts about the chapters for the following week (so she forces you to read for the week ahead, something you should already be doing).

LOVED taking her class. Do the work and you pass. You do about 2 chapters a week in the online book, you do the objectives and video quizzes. You also have to post and comment in the discussion board. As long as you communicate with her, she is forgiving. I was late on a few of the discussion boards but she waived the late deductions.

I took her Human Growth & Development via distance learning and really enjoyed the course. You do practice questions/activities for 2 chapters every week plus a quiz over each chapter. Also 9 discussion board post with 2 comments each. No tests or finals. She also does BB collaborate sessions if you need help. Highly recommend.

Self speed class and all work is done on Lunchpad. Feed back on all discussion papers. She understanding and wonderful.

This class is ridiculously easy. Its launchpad (chapter notes kinda), chapter quizzes (easy and u get 3 tries), and discussion posts.... literally just do the work and you get an A. Shes great with communicating and has everything going really smoothly through covid. Well done professor Hawk!

I really enjoyed Dr. Hawk's class. She made herself available multiple times per week for questions or just to chat (loved this). I thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. Each week we had two chapters due which included a test that could be taken 2 times. I would take every psychology class with her if it was available! Loved her and her class!

Don't question it - sign up for her class if given the opportunity. She is exceedingly well organized. Follow the syllabus/calendar and you can't go wrong. PLUS she makes herself more available for her students than any professor I've ever had before has. She is AMAZING!

I absolutely loved this class. It was 100% online, with no mandatory meetings. She always responded to emails super quick and was so friendly. I personally read (or at least skimmed) the textbook, but if you wanted to wing it with the activities and quizzes, you'd be able to get by. Reading makes it a lot easier though. 10/10!

i took this as distance learning, so i didn't interact with this professor much. she was really nice and always willing to answer questions. however, this class is definitely one with lots of reading, and it feels like it's just you and your textbook. as long as you're completing the (online) textbook assignments you're good :)

I took her 5 week online class and managed to do this while working full-time! It's a heavy work load but it's possible to complete. Everything is explained thoroughly the only way a person fails this class or gets a bad grade is because of the lack of self motivation. Lots of work but easy!

It's an easy class and you'll learn a lot. But if you take her online class its just you, your textbook, a 100 word discussion post, and 5-6 short quizzes every single week. It is NOT guided/interactive notes like another review said. Entire class opens first day so you can work ahead, but you won't want to because of how boring it is.

Dr. Hawk is an incredibly understanding professor who gives amazing feedback! The course consists of weekly readings, discussion boards and journal submissions, which were fun and helped me grasp material more easily. Review for the 4 week PSYC-2301. No essay's at all or tests! Work is comprised of: 5 Journal entries using PERSONAL CONNECTIONS, 900 words each (Easy, but long), 5 Discussions, 100 words each (Super easy), A site called achieve where you do quizzes and stuff (Super easy). That's it! Overall difficulty: Super Easy! Take this professor for an A+

I took both Intro to Psych and HG&D with Dr. Hawk & my Ianta, I have never loved a professor more. Dr. Hawk's lectures/slides are immensely helpful when it comes to her tests but in my opinion, her tests are very straightforward. She is kind & understanding of everyone has crap to deal with. If I could I would take all of my Psych classes with her!

PSYC 1301. Professor Hawk was very kind and understanding. It's an Easy A class I just got held up with life. She only had 3 exams, 10 journals (500 words min.) and about 10 discussions (50 words min). She's about to retire so if you can take her during the fall I 100% recommend. Wish their were more professors like her.

I love her! She is by far one of my favorite professors I've had. She's down to earth and funny! Her test are easy along as you do the review. I recommend going to class because you get attendance points but if you don't you can write 500 words for each day you missed and regain the points. She has great lectures and always gets the class involved.

This class was very easy to keep up with. Everything was done on Achieve with multiple assignment ranging from videos to learning activities which were very doable along with a quiz for each chapter. I will say the quizzes were kind of annoying but as long as you get all assignments and discussion boards done every week you should get an easy A.
