Carol is a very good professor. If you put the time in you will make an easy A. The class is interesting and Carol will go out of her way to help you. I took this class online and enjoyed it. One on campus function.

I take her SPCH 1318 Online course. It pretty cool but a lot of work is given typically b/c its a online class. Overall, her assignments are fun and easy and shes SUPER nice. After each e-mail I recieve from her she ends it with "KEEP SMILING!" She's really nice. I would definitely take her again!!

Good teacher but she tends to belittle her students. She makes her kindness seem like a front most of the time. You do learn alot in her class though.

TOOK HER FOR BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL SPEECH. THOUGHT SHE WAS A PRETTY EASY TEACHER... HOWEVER I MADE MISSED AN A BY 1 POINT BECAUSE I MISSED A QUIZ BECAUSE MY SISTER WAS IN ICU AND ENDED UP DYING AND SHE WOULD NOT LET ME MAKE UP THE QUIZ. IT WAS THE ONLY ASSIGNMENT I MISSED. YOU WOULD THINK THAT SHE COULD MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR THAT. BUT NO.

I took her online course. Although the class has a lot of useful information, there is a lot of writing, I mean A LOT. She communicated well through weekly emails. Her tests are easy if you have done the required reading and taken the practice tests offered online. We read the entire textbook over the semester.

Carol is awesome! She is so down to earth & genuine! Her class ALWAYS puts me in a good mood! I am gonna miss her so much! She is eager to teach and doesnt treat you like a kid. She is stern on no late work but if you have an emergency just talk w/ her & she will work it out. I do NOT believe the girl that says her sister died & carol didnt care.

Carol is one of the best and chirpiest professors and will keep you entertained. Follow her policy because she is very stricted about it. It was an easy A and I never had to read the text. Speeches were simple and she is a lenient grader.

Carol Hunsberger is amazing teacher!!!! I toook Carol for Speech 1311 and going in I hated standing up in front of people giving speeches but by the end of the semester it was easy to get up there and give a speech. You give two speeches during the semester. You take three test and you have two group projects. You will love her!!!

I was thrown off by Carol at first; she wasn't what I expected. By the end of the semester, I loved this class. She is such a good teacher, and very understanding if you're shy. You don't use the textbook much, but the workbook is a must. And you have to make 2 speeches to pass the class. I would absolutely recommend her.

Awesome teacher. Really funny and down to earth. Understands that 95% of people hate giving speeches, so as long as you follow her directions she grades generously, even if you are stuttering and nervous. Made the class a lot better than I expected, and I had a lot of fun in her class

She is so much fun! You learn alot about reading people!! She is easy and you will get an A if you attend class and do the work. Not much work to do either!

Very friendly and helpful. Completely understands that not every one likes public speaking and is willing to help you. Gets to know the students very well and helps to make the class feel more personal and one on one. Excellent class and I highly recommend her.

This was honestly the BEST online course I have ever taken. She was really cool and it seemed like I knew her even though I'd never met her. She communicates assignments very well. I never questioned what was expected of me. Only two tests the whole semester (midterm & final). The assignments were interesting and I actually enjoyed doing them!

She was such a good teacher! The activities were actually fun and interesting to do! She ACTUALLY admits when she is at fault, unlike most professors. Also, she gives us hints as to how to compete the work and warns us if the assignment is going to be time consuming! Love her! Would definitely take her again!

Complete blow-off class; super easy, but it's very clique-ish. I didn't enjoy the class and didn't get anything out of it, other than what NOT to do. One student kind of became the "target" of the group's disdain because he said he didn't like the class; when it came time for evals, she flat-out said she was glad he wasn't there. No thanks!

Easy class if you try, practice your speeches,and do your work. She is all about achieving your dreams and goals. I truly enjoyed her class. I would take her again in a heart beat.

Carol is a gregarious speech prof. This class is a very easy A-you're pretty much taught basic, courteous communication with other humans. Silence your cell, do the homework, show up and participate in class and she'll be your best friend. Attendance is definitely mandatory.

She's amazing. There's always that one teacher who everyone loves, and it's her. She's life-changing. She's the kind of person I would call in the middle of the night if my life were falling apart. I had looked up this professor on Rate My Professor before... A lot of people seemed to like her. Let me tell you--SHE IS THE BEST! The class was like a family. By the end of the semester, we all knew each other's names. Carol made learning fun, and made giving speeches a great experience. Definitely take this class!

Carol was funny and caring. She encourages group participation and was very knowledgeable and informative. She is passionate about her work and her students. She teaches life lessons for those just starting on their educational journey. There are group projects that requires you to work together. You know just where she stands and is fair with all.

Dreaded taking speech so I took it for a wintermester. Carol is very inspirational. This class was more than just learning about how to give a great speech. I took a 2-week speech class, expecting it to be very difficult and full of book work. Yes, there was a lot of work (not really;) as long as you get your work done, turn it in on time and participate in class, you will receive an A. Carol is my favorite professor by far, I haven't had a professor truly passionate about their job. 12/10

This class has been such a breeze! I HATE talking in front of the class, let alone give a speech. But Carol (who tells you to call her that), has been such a LIFESAVER. Carol is such an amazing person! You only had one Speech to give by yourself, and the other two was with a partner/group. Her lectures are very interesting, and by the end of the semester everyone in the class got super close. The best part was everyone was super supportive when you gave a speech. One thing Carol doesn't like is cellphones!

Offers extra credit, no use for textbook, and makes it easy for even the most apprehensive public speaker. Her class is similar to taking a communication workshop. Carol was great at connecting with her students, and her lectures were entertaining and often very funny. She's understanding if you have a fear of public speaking, and focuses more on communication, although there are two required speeches. You're gonna use the things you learn in her class in your personal life, as well as your professional life.

Being that I am a rather shy person. She made the classroom enviorment feel welcoming as soon as you take a step in her room. She brought me out of my comfort zone and I wouldn't change this experience.

Carol has been my favorite professor so far. I was terrified to take speech, but she genuinely cares about her students, she is understanding and makes you feel equal. She makes sure everyone feels comfortable and makes it fun with group work. I left class every morning feeling inspired and amazing because of her.

Does more talking/teaching about communication theory than "write and present speech", though there are a few of those assignments in the second half of the semester. It is entirely in your best interest to be on time to EVERY class. buy a flash drive, it is mandatory for presentations with a visual aid. Very understanding and passionate!

Very consistent and fair grader. Make sure you turn things in on time, she doesn't accept late work. But assignments are not hard. I did not want to take a speech class, but I ended up loving this class and I know it had everything to do with how amazing this professor is. Take her!

This is women was so amazing and inspirational at TCC Northwest. Wow! She seems love to teaching speech class. There was assignments was really easy, and she doesn't required you to buy a textbook.

Carol is a great teacher. She made it easy for those of us who are introverts to give a speech. Presents the material in a way that is easy to understand and put into effect. Her exuberant personality makes you want to come to class. If you have to take a speech class then definitely take her.

She is AMAZING! She is a passionate teacher & knows what she's teaching you. It became one of my favorite classes of the semester. Her lectures are informative & knows how to keep it fun. Since this is a speech class, you have group assignments. If you do your best in your speeches you are going to get an easy A.

She gives lots of work so be prepared! She does not accept late work at all, but will work with you if something does come up. Over 25 assignments for her course. Keep a Grade A by the final exam and you will be awarded. You'll see what I mean. Also participate with Live sessions you'll learn more and it'll help with your assignments.

Professor Carol is by far one of the best professors I've ever had. She makes her lectures enjoyable and really engages with all her students. Taking her class really helped with my social anxiety (I recommend taking if you struggle with this as well). She is respectful and inspired me everyday; always looked forward to going to her class.

There is a LOT OF assignments but not impossible to complete because they are very easy. She wants you to be successful in her course and she will give you many tools to be successful. I grew so much as a person because of her and I'm really grateful for her class. If you do decide to take her I promise you won't regret it.

She has amazing lectures, fair grader, and accessible out of class. Tips for her class would be: Take pictures of the quiz questions because those questions will be at the midterm and final. Take notes and watch her recordings, they're very helpful. And do not be nervous about speech presentations because she will help you and be understanding.

Dont sleep on it! You need to take her. very inspirational. I looked forward to going to her class every week. My fav of all time. Quiz wkly (open book) along with group meeting wkly. Pay attention to her intro videos and songs of the day.2 speeches informative & persuasive. Offered EC. keep track quiz answers they will be on midterm and final.
