Professor Kaplan was awesome. I would definitely take a class with her again. She lectures through well thought out power-points and really has an easy way of explaining things. She is not trying to fail you and I feel she creates assignments that are fair and easy to complete. All her exams are open book, but she does love a good 'Trick Question'

She does a great job of thoroughly explaining the course material. She makes sure her students get their questions answered and encourages question asking. Because it was online for me, this was a very lecture-oriented class and attendance got you good grades and taught you something. Finally, group projects are very frequent so try to get along.

She is very nice also direct the test were not hard everything is recorded so you can always go back to look at old lectures.

The professor went over the Syllabus at the beginning of the course showing us every single assignment and exam that we were going to do, this was I was able to plan ahead to finish everything on time. She is very organized and you can clearly understand all the material in her class even if you are not good at science. One of the best professors.

Professor Kaplan is great! You will for sure learn in this class. It does feel work heavy at the start due to the assignments depending of course on how many classes your taking. There are 3 exams which are open notes. A current events presentation, and 3 papers to turn in. Last, a final project which is group based but its a video recording.

The class is very entertaining and the professor makes it easy for you to get involved, I had a long class of 3+ hours and about every hour we had a break which was very helpful.

The best professor I had took in Miami Dade college, her assignments are not easy but she gives you a lot of time to complete them. I could understand everything from her lectures not like other classes held online where they give you a ton of work and assume that you understand it by yourself and you complete them on time.

The Professor is very flexible when it comes to deadlines and also very understanding if you're having an issue during your class time, barely any homework but the work she requires needs to be done correctly, when she teaches she actually knows what she is talking about, overall, a good class.

I took an online class with her that was 3.5 hours long but readings are full of memes and funny content to make it easier for us to understand. Attendance is really important for this class, otherwise, you won't catch up.

I took this class as a requirement. Not hard as long as you pay attention. The professor made us watch movies touching on the topics we were studying, so that was great way to learn and not be boring.

Despite only paying minimal attention in class and not putting all my effort forward, I did learn some things, and I think I'm ending off with a good grade. Good professor. So long as you put in some effort in showing up to class and doing the assignments, you should be able to pass and even get an A. It's not that difficult.

You definitely learn a lot in this class - lots of bonus credit opportunities. And the most important thing is that at the end of the class you have a greater awareness of our environment.

Great class and great teacher but I believe the way she promotes participation can be improved. She tends to constantly ask the class basically what did she just say which causes awkward silences that delay the lecture. She should ask questions that promote discussion should time allow and experiment with other forms of participation.

Professor Kaplan is one of my easier teachers I have taken during my semester at Miami Dade College. She is helpful with grading and is very nice/open with the students, time flies in her lectures and the due dates are very reasonable!

She is one of the best teachers I have ever met because she is accurate with each of the ideas she tries to convey to her class. She is very clear with all the material to work in class and she has a very organized work format.

One of the best online classes I have taken she is a great teacher willing to help. It has been of great help since I am outside the country for personal reasons. The best is that she has a clear format for the homework or tests. And when they are due. There is a final project fun to do in groups. Since I am an environmentalist I love this.

It is pretty good as long as you attend class and complete your one PowerPoint presentation and the overall homework that is due weekly. The exams are pretty extensive but surely with the book, you'll do OK. It is not too demanding but it's not a walk in the park either.

Professor Kaplan is doing a great job at teaching EVR1001. Her lectures are informative without being boring, she keeps you engaged, and she does expect you to participate. Personally I'd say take notes during lectures, even though she provides power points. We did have an assigned group project, but were giving plenty of time to put it together.

Shes a great professor but you actually need to do the work in her class

I took her on MDC LIVE class so everything was online with online lectures. There were only 8 assignments in the whole class and two tests, unproctored. She answers emails fairly quick and is willing to help with anything. Attendance is mandatory so make sure you select this class at a time when you are always available. Easy to pass, no reading.

The class honestly isnt that hard. The work may seem difficult but its really not that hard because shes not a harsh grader. You just have to attend, do the work, pass the exams.

Assignments were easy, she is lecture & PowerPoint heavy and the exams for the class are worded differently than in the txt which make them a hassle to find the answers. Other than that class is a breeze.

i think this professor is very patient and understanding to her students. she knows she give a-lot of lectures, but be careful the exams are kinda tricky. i just wish she organize the exams better. finding the answers like finding a needle in the hay stack. also be aware of group project.

Tests are quite difficult despite being multiple choice and open book. Assignments are fairly simple but quite enjoyable and educational.

The professor started off with a detailed syllabus that we stuck to throughout the entire semester. She was very straightforward and made her expectations clear from the start. Professor Kaplan is very passionate and has a lot of knowledge, overall she is an amazing teacher. All your assignments will be a 2-page essays. The test are really time consuming and questions are tricky due to the way she writes them. Make sure to pay attention to the lectures, all the answers will be based on the lectures and PowerPoint.
