Well, anyone who laughs at your paper you wrote, I could say is a verybad teacher. She came to class late everyday. If something wasent written the way she would write it, then its wrong!! dont register with her!!!

Loves to listen to herself speak, which she does for about 90% of the class. Her instructions are confusing. Requests for clarification don't help. Explanations in words other than the words she chooses (re: class material) are usually considered wrong.

I could not stand this woman. She is boring and very rude. She is a tough grader. She loves making her students feel stupid and putting them on the spot. Most often her opinion is the only right one. I would never take a class with her again.

Nasty teacher. In Eng 101 we only read short stories about environmental issues over and over. I can't stand reading about the same thing all semester long. Come on this isnt enviromental conservation class. Rude women and loves making a fool of students.

If you want a teacher who is late to class 10-20 min everyday then this is the teacher for you! Would never recommend her.

They're still allowing this woman to teach?? I am now a graduate student and still find her to be the worst professor. Eng 101 should be a fun experience, after all it is one of the first college classes u'll take. Take the class with someone else

SO BAD I DID RESEARCH! Turns out her Aunt was a famous sculptor who taught at Vassar which is how Carol got in, and her dream of being a famous sculptor died, she now teaches. Her talks on authors are like a teenager telling you their favorite bands. Nothing published "She's working on her novel" Her failure made her ice cold,IDK what made her dumb

Nobody in the faculty knows why she hasn't been fired yet. When one meets Carol,one feels the energy of a mean talentless frustrated hack who has nothing to say.Her aunt did a known sculpture in D.C. and was popular in 30's NYC Carol has never done anything except lectures on her Aunt. Her family is like a potato, the only good part is underground.

this teacher was by far the worst i have ever encountered. she was snotty and stuck up about her life at vassar. she never had anything good to say about anyones work, and was constantly making the class feel as though we knew nothing. she made revisions to my paper, and when i correceted it and handed it in, i got a C- and all of her notes on it went against what she told me to fix. she is an absolutely horrid teacher. even the english department counldnt find anything nice to say about her.

she contradicts herself constantly - she refuses to acknoledge that other people have oppinions or styles. she cannot stop talking about herself and her career nor other famous people's work - it's a crying shame, she doesn't know how to teach!!!

STAY AWAY!!! FAR FAR AWAY. always is late, assignments make no sense, pushes her crazy beliefs on everyone. you're ALWAYS wrong, don't bother arguing. Doesn't give A's, because writing can always be improved. nobody gets above a c basically. is horribly rude, and wants everyone to ride bikes everywhere and eat granola

I had her my first semester of college and really didn't know what to expect from a college teacher, but I definitely knew she was a horrendous witch. She'll ask for someone's opinion on something just so she can say they are incorrect about it. Such a ridiculous woman. Save yourself the time, money, and hassle and avoid hell on earth. Disgusting.

She is extremely rude and harsh. Belittles you in class in front of everyone and tells people they are wasting their time because she is going to fail them anyway. Do not take this teacher. If you have any self esteem problems, she will crucify you!!

Very rude and directs it in un-necessary manner. I have never had an english teacher this nasty. She takes ALL the fun out of writing. I used to enjoy writing until I had her class. I had to drop out because she would always tell me I was going to fail anyway. No encouragement whatsoever. Very big let down for DCC's high standards. She needs to go!

SHe really is absolutly HORRIBLE... I have always done really good in English classes, and Kushner is just the worst professor I have EVER had. She is not understanding over anything her final was a disater, and she is just mean.

The first day she seemed kinda nice, but after that first week I was terrified to go to class. She loved nothing than to tell us how our opinions were wrong and how we never are properly prepared. No matter how deep you read into the readings, you'll always be wrong and your essays will suck tremendously.

She is one of the worst teachers I have ever had for English. If you don't agree with her then you're wrong. She loves to hear herself talk and definitely picks her favorites in class. Horrible teacher! I had her maybe 3yrs ago and she still sticks out as the worst teacher I ever had. She is very biased, politically and shows favoritism towards the students who agree with her. One of the worst classes I've ever had to attend. The class itself was extremely boring as well.

Ms. Kushner definitely appeared smart to most of my class, but after reading the essays she assigned, I noticed that she was doing nothing except repeating what was in the assigned reading. To people who don't know any better, she appears smart, but she's really a fraud. Also half the class is her biased political rantings. Avoid at all costs.

She is very unclear with the objective of her assignments. She neglects the opinions of others and thinks her word is gospel. She is not an encouraging professor. I do not recommend her.Her attitude comes off as haughty. I agree with the other post.

Absolutely unintelligent. Definitely the worst professor at DCC. She come to class ten minutes late everyday. She loves to call everything avant-garde and I am convinced she bought her diploma online. The woman knows absolutely nothing about her field and it shows. Any sane institution would have given this horrible excuse for a professor the boot.

Dont take this class. It will demotivate your college expirence and ultimately make you lose faith in yourself as an developing student. Hoo boy! Where to begin? Let me just say, Dutchess has a wide variety of great professors, but she is NOT one of them. She's late every single day and never lets you out on time. She gets angry easily, and is incredibly snobbish and condescending. She grades your papers based not on your arguments, but simply on whether she agrees with your thesis.

Do not take this class.

Literally the worst professor I've ever had in my college career. I wish I took the advice of these reviews and switched classes when I had the chance. Her lectures are just her ranting about whatever is on her mind that day, and the papers are rarely on anything useful. She was 5-45 minutes late every day and was rude. Do NOT take her if you can.

Makes you buy the books but you essentially teach yourself. You walk in and end up hearing random tangents. Will tell you to write a 5 page paper with NO PROMPT and then tell you how you didnt give what she wanted.

She is actually the worst professor I have ever had across my entire academic career. I did well in the class, but please do yourself a favor and do not take her class. Shes really condescending and always 5-15 minutes late to class. The class was literally 5 minutes talking about a book then 45 minutes of her arguing with students.

Worst Professor or i dont even know if i can even call her a professor after this repulsive semester with her, she would talk 10 mins about a book but then the rest of the class just tell other students how bad they write or brags on how she cant get fired because shes been working there more than 10 years.
