If u are gonna take basic concepts or college algebra with trig..TAKE METS..everything is clear,she gives ALOT of extra help and credit and shes got personality...unlike alot of math teachers..her class is seriously fun.

Best Teacher in Math that i Have ever had

I hope to be as good a teacher as she has been. She is making my least liked subject enjoyable. I actually understand what I am doing.(most of the time)

Best math teacher I ever had. Actually makes me WANT to stay in the class and attend on a regular basis.

Great professor. She explains everything clearly and provides excellent notes to refer to when doing assignments. Definetly a professor to take classes with.

This teacher should be a model for how all math teachers should teach. She is dedicated and loves her students. Take her classes if u want to understand math!

since I started this semester with professor metz, I actually ENJOY math !! .. she is excellent and she truly cares about her students and makes it her mission that each student performs to their potential. She is the best professor I've ever had at WCC!

I took Metz off the recommendation from a friend and would also recommend her to anyone else. Same grading system every semester, easy to understand. 5 Tests, 1 of which is take home, if you have less then 5 absences she drops your lowest test. Then there is a pre final and a final (50% of grade)

Metz is the bomb-diggity...We love you metz! Outrules all the math teachers beside Loase! Blows Langer out of the water!

Metz is a great prof. Even though she gives alot of homework, she gives these practice tests which are basically the real tests just with different numbers. She also gives a pre-final in which if u=you really do good on it and do so so on all the tests throughout the yr she will give you an A in the course.

prof.metz is very funny and sweet. she gets staight to the problems. I hate math but she made it easier for me to understand.I really recommend taking any of her classes. Prof. Metz you get 3 hot tamales

Prof. Metz is great. When I was in high school I hated math and did not get it at all! Now with Prof. Metz I get everything. Her notes are easy to understand and she goes over every little detail to help you understand everything. She gives a lot of quizzes yes but they are just to make sure you know the material. Metz deserves 10 tamales!

This teacher made me enjoy math to the fullest when I had her. She was easy and funny. She made you wanna learn and went over the homeworks and anything that you didnt understand. You can get an A in this class. I recommend her.

Prof Metz was awesome! She was alot of fun and kept you interested in the subject. She taught very clear and well and wouldnt scare you off. She was probably the best math teacher Ive had.

she is wonderful

took this class in the summer for my math cred. don't have to hand in any homework, and if you score higher on the final than you did on any of your tests (summer only) than you get that grade. I failed all my tests but the final cuz my math skills are only ok (i was still never in a remidial math course, ever) and i got a C.

Strong voice, clear explanations, I have never met a professor like Prof. Metz. If you failed her class, it is due to irresponsibility, because she is always having review session before tests, giving extra credit and willing to help.

What an excellent professor. She really knows what she is talking about and is very helpful. I recommend her for anyone.

What a caring, passionate, fun, sweet teacher. She keeps you interested and motivated..but she is tough and it's her way or the highway.

I am probably the worst student ever at math, but Metz makes me feel like I can one day do Calculus! Best math teacher EVER.

Great prof! Very enthusiastic and passionate about math. She is very helpful and will go to further lengths if students show initiative.

Prof. Metz is extremely picky about knowing how to do things her way, but if you do them correctly if can help immensely! Math is my worst subject and I believe I have at least a B in that class because she is a fair and clear Prof. She has been teaching this for so long, I believe she knows what she is doing!

Very nice Professor. Knows her stuff well and is extremely helpful. Knows when to slow down a bit, but does go through a lot. If you miss a class you will definitely be behind. Has a set way of teaching and you learning that seems the easiest and is. Good Professor to take!

Very helpful and elaborates the work to help you practice and understand more. She does go at a fast pace but she offers review sessions to catch up. Also goes over all the quizes and tests so you know what you got wrong! Very helpful

This is the best Professor I've ever had..She is clear and particular with the material.Yea its true that there is a lot of steps to remember but it pays off..PLUS SHE CARES.Especially when you don't do your homework.We have two reviews every wednesday..I am so glad I took her class.

Definetly a good teacher. the MYMATHLAB homeworks weren't helpful at all, and they effected your grade. She was very sweet and wanted to help students. TAKE HER!

She is such a good teacher, in the beginning I didnt understand anything & and she helped me! Go to Review sessions she gives extra credit sometimes. Go to class everyday 5 pts added to your final grade =), do MYMATHLABS they are harder online and its hard to punch in but do it! I received an 82 on the final and an A for the course! I have always hated math, but am loving my class with Professor Metz! If you use her technqiues, follow the directions and carefully write down the practice problems? You will succeed! She does give you all the tools necessary to get the A.

I have never been pushed and challenged so much but I have also never learned so much so much. I can safely say that I am a much smarter person than I was last month. I am awed by Professor Metz's paragon pedagogy. ;)

She is an awsome woman. She is jsut the teacher that I needed. I was lacking good mathmatical skills and she was ther person that made the difference. She is a tough teacher but cares so much for her students. i shuggest that everone take her.

She is a nice woman, but she is very specific with her work. Things have to be done her way or the highway,so if your learned it differently before, forget it and learn it her way bc she is a sucker when it comes down to taking pts on exams. Dont take this class unless you can put up with a controlling personality.

Math, no matter how you look at it is challenging. I have taken this course before and failed, it was too overwhelming. The tools that prof. metz uses in her class are priceless. Take her class, you will learn. She gives you your notes so you spend your time listening. also the My Math Lab is great. The single most intelligent teacher. Thanks metz

Professor Metz was born to teach math. She is excellent at what she does and because of this i finally passed beginning algebra. It was a lot of work to cram into a 5 week summer course but Carol Metz made it easy to understand. I would definitely recommend her. Also, there is no reason to buy a text book because she provides it for you online.

OMG I absolutely love Prof Metz and the fact that she walks you through everything and doesn't mind going back to explain something is a plus for me. She's funny, warm, and easy to talk to. I recommend her to all future Trig and Function students, you won't regret it.

I have worked with a lot of math teachers but I can say that Professor Metz is the best teacher that Ive ever had! Shes fair, clear, understanding and breaks everything down for you when she teaches and very patient. Have had the privilege of having her as my math teacher twice. Amazing passion for what she does. Hard but extremely fair. She wants you to pass and it shows. She takes an interest in her students that simply isn't seen anymore nowadays. Stresses holding yourself accountable. She got a failing math student to pass with an A! I am a believer!

She is strict, but fair and reasonable. She has everything clearly laid out and as long as you follow her directions and complete homework/tests/quizzes on time, there is reason not to do well in her class. She provides examples of all questions, so all necessary information is provided for you. She is also available for help, if needed.
