Palmer is a great professor. She gives you almost every opportunity to get an A+ in her class. For her history 101 classes, she has given out at least five extra credit opportunities; you can get up to 20 extra credit points, and they all go into your FINAL average.

I love mrs. palmer. her tests are hard but if you study and just listen to the words coming out of her mouth during class than you will do fine!!! I really suggest taking her for history 101 and than 201

Prof Palmer is THE BEST! At the beginning of the class I was a bit scared,but after a few weeks of her class I now LOVE HER!!She gets everyone to engage in the class. Her assignments are pretty easy. She is a chill person and is funny.But beware if you're late to class(even by a minute)she makes you sing & you do pushups when you say "like".

She is absolutely historical. If you get on her good side, pay attention in class, and do her homework, and she will love you. Avoid being late to her class unless you want to sing to someone of the opposite gender. Avoid saying "like" unless you're trying to do pushups. You have to read though she is big on students knowing the world around them.

I personally think that this class was amazing. Although there was a lot of work, I feel like it made me more knowledgeable about the world today. I thought this class was helpful for me to learn something about the past. The professor of this class is good at teaching the subject and made it very easy to understand. Carol Palmer is an excellent Professor and made HST 101 very interesting and actually made me look forward to going to class, she does not approve of the word like in a sentence unless you use it the proper way so beware. Professor Palmer is very intelligent and knowledgeable about historical and recent political events; although HST 201 is labeled as "Tradition and Modernity", the class content is heavily focused on politics of Africa and the Middle East. Carol Palmer was the only professor who I looked forward to seeing in my whole college career. She is both the mother and educator of the classroom. Professor Palmer is tough but fair, a lot of homework but plenty of extra credit opportunities, the material thought is important to understanding many current racial and international tensions

You will learn a lot in her class but you have to work. She is very caring

The professor will never be absent and respects all students no matter the circumstance. She gives 3 papers and 3 multiple choice test throughout the semester. She gives a decent amount of homework but its mostly just reading and taking notes. Make SURE to participate. It will help a lot with your grade and make sure to study.

Professor Palmer is one of the best professors I have had at Iona. She is very helpful and does more than just teach you class material. She teaches you things you will need to know outside of the classroom and helps you be a better student and individual. Funny and easy to talk to.

Great Professor, gives a lot of extra credit to boost your grade. Gives three major tests to study for, plenty of time to study. Funny and caring teacher, would absolutely take again.
