This is the only teacher I ever heard of who tries to teach what the students really need, not just make them write a bunch of papers.

The quizzzes are so easy, I can't beleive anyone misses them.

I really hated this class at first, but she cares, and if you are willing to work at all, she'll help you

Very helpful and knowledgable, which is rather key, especially in English. However, huge focus on research papers keeps this experience from being an easy one, since she is VERY specific on what she wants. Lastly, go every class; no way to cut corners!!!

She really wants you to do it HER way but I learned a lot

This was a great class. I loved the subject matter. There is a lot of reading, so if you're not into that... Great movies too. She is a very fun teacher.

Tests are kinda hard, but the quizzes make up for it. She's funny and I loved being able to read interesting stories not just text books. She's easy to listen to...I took it credit/no credit, and I don't regret it!

it took me half the semester to figure out what she wanted, then I worked my butt off doing it, but I realized this week that i actually know what i'm doing now

She shakes her head like it's going to fly off. What a flighty woman! If you take the class make sure you go to class EVERYDAY because most likely there will be a quiz. If you do not read EVERYTHING you will fail.

I had her last semester and didn't pass, but I took her again. All I have to do is finish my work.

Great instructor. Hard class, but she was very helpful whenever I needed it. Whenever instructions weren't clear - her handouts made up for it.

Fantasy/Sci-Fi is easy but boring. Pretty much everyday you go in and go over the stories, plot, setting, whatever. Stories are pretty good, as are most of the movies. Plus you get to create your own alien and present it!

I'm in her Sci Fic class, and it's been a blast. You're supposed to read some books but if you read Clifnotes and listen to class discussion you should be ok for the bigger novels. For the short stories she has you read, I'd read them all, they aren't long and she does give quizzes. They are usually very easy and always pass or fail.

This class isn't easy but the things you learn are put into effect by the english department. She's very helpful if you ask. She tries to make the material easy. I was worried when I started but it got a lot better. She wants to help really and is very willing. No one likes writing a research paper but it's requires. I like her better than others.

She's adorable and funny. Her lectures are so interesting and insightful. I actually look forward to her class. BUT you have to keep up with the syllabus, she doesn't remind you of any big assignments.

Carol is a good at making the material more interesting and finding ways to help you relate to it, she isn't the best prof I have ever had but she is not the worst. There are daily one point quizzes so attendence is something to take serious but at the same time its no big deal. Although missing too many quizzes may come back to bite ya.

Really, her rating is way too low! If you slack off then of course this will be a difficult class. Professor Riddle is extremely helpful and she is always willing to help! I highly recommend her!

Honestly a nice lady. Going to her for help and getting to know her goes a long way. She doesn't grade too bad. Don't blow off the 1st grammar test or you'll be stuck with grammar workshop packets. Attendance is mandatory because every class's work is at least 3% of your final grade.

Professor Riddle demands excellence. That's all there is to it. If you attend class, follow her directions, and complete her assignments on time, then you'll suceed in this class. The entire class revolves around a 2500 word research paper, which I suggest you start working on about 2 months prior to the due date. She's a really nice lady.

Riddle grades very tough, you miss one point in your paper and your grade is cut in half. Every assignment works up to the final research paper, that's the whole class. Don't miss class, you will miss a lot of in-class points.

Very nice older lady, helpful in class. TOUGH grader, her assignments aren't very clear. Hard to contact outside of class. Entire class based on 2,500 word research paper. Must go to class to understand and hand in assignments, she sticks to syllabus all year. Better than other profs for this course, but take this class at a CC and save your $.
