She's a terrible professor, she has no patience and belittles her class. The TA's do all the work and are helpful, they'll be the ones you go to with any problems. No need to go to class. Ta's and the book can teach you more than she can.
Easiest A ever. But you will have to sit through her annoying lectures... sarcastic and talks about her little girl way too much
Professor is worthless and she is a b*tch, TAs do all the work, don't even bother going to class, you can learn more from the books and the TA's then her, or better yet get your hands on last semesters notes, they are exactly the same,

I hate this class so much. Her lectures are boring and don't even relate to the homework. I personally don't like my ta. He thinks he knows everything and expects the same from us.
class was boring, everything is off the slides, she could just pass them out as handouts and you could save the writing, she is arrogant, talks down to the class
The first day she will be a complete psychotic and try to scare you into dropping the course, after that you get used to her and she starts to be pretty funny. If you want to get an A, its really all about the TA you get. Kamat is one of the best TA's.
She is rude to her students but the class is easy.Microsoft Office and JavaScript are not too intimidating. If you do the work and study the notes, you should get an A.
Somtimes rude to students, but very very easy. Homework every week, but it only takes about 20 minutes. Lectures are boring, but bearable. Overall, not fun, but easy A.
easy A? i dont think so. javascript assignments nearly killed me- thank God for TAs and office hours. class is unnecessary (if you get the notes) and totally dull. she sucks, but the tests are very do-able.
Very Easy class. I didnt know anything about computers and i still got a high A in this class. Take notes at the lectures. You do NOT need to buy the books. The TA's also help a lot

It is not an easy A, unless you have experience with javascript. I would have been fine, if it weren't for the Javascript exam, which brought my A to a B. If you do all the homework and extracredit, then you can still pull a B+, even if you mess up 1 test
lectures are a drag if you know about computers...javascript is a little tough..other than that its basic computer course...TA's help more than she does...GO TO RECITATION...itll help more than lectures
The easiest course ever. I more than aced this class. However, for those with minimal computer experience, the few Javascript & other weekly hwk's can be tough. Written exams are entirely based on class slides. TA's are plenty and usually nice.
Probably the easiest class you can take, without even attending. Most learning takes place in recitation with helpful, but impossible to understand TAs. Weekly HW is not difficult and is most of the final grade.
Very easy.didn't even know javascript(had some experience in c++ from hs)AND i missed a quiz, but still got a 100 in that class.the easiest class that ever took or ever will take.don't even bother buying the books.go to lecture,take notes, listen to TAs
ez class barely went and got an A overall, assignments do-able just look over notes and book

She is awesome! Her classes and assignments are extremely easy. NO NEED TO WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BOOKS! Everything you need to know for your exams are on her slides. Recitations and TAs are the best. Easy A

She's very lazy...uses old slides and old tests. the TAs are very helpful though. The tests sometimes have the smallest details that you missed...everytime I took one, I was very annoyed with her

This class sucks ass. The teacher can not teach and the stuff she gives on the test are hard as hell. Studying did not help because i studied my ass off and i still barely passed. Javascript is HARD and if you're really into that, then take it otherwise dont. and i mean REALLY REALLY know it.
she's funny, interesting and very helpful. didn't use the books at all. the assignments were easy, the grading by ta's was fair. class really wasn't that painful if you put a little effort into it. easy A.
she is very clear in lecture. tests are a little hard sometimes, but as long as you go to class you should be fine.
Comp Apps was a joke.Never went to a lecture, not even the 1st one, i dont even know what she looks like. Its like learning MS Excel and how to make a webpage, duh. Went to about half of my recitations, cuz they took attendance. Got 490/500 final grade (without any extra credit, which anyone can do)
a true freakin joke...i knew nuthin bout comps n still managed to ace it...eaaasy exams dont bother buying the books..u dont need it..jus study the notes well n your set..by far ona the easiest classes ive ever takin..the ladys a lil boring..but if u can get the notes off someone ure good to go.. ;)

I do not understand how she can be considered a teacher. She is barely approachable and is not really helpful. If you have to take this class, use every resource to help you study (like the TA's) but do not bother with her
Kinda boring lady with some patience. Doesn't seem all that funny and interested in the material. But this is only the first day of class. We'll see what happens later on....
easy class as long as ur interested in the material, javascript can be a pain somtimes but spreadsheets r very simple, dont go to lecture except for mayb the javascript ones, but make sure u get the notes! easy A :)

Worst Professor i had at rutgers and i had had a few... not a hard class at all, not very helpful when you ask her sumthing, she just talks to you like you are below her

This lady is so arrogant. She thinks she knows everything there is to know about life and she thinks you know nothing. If she could understand that it's easier to teach kids if you get on their good side then the class would be easier to sit through. Basically she's a BIG LAME and she's fake so if u have any self decency dont take this course!
She is not helpful AT ALL. Mean bee eye chi.. I took her class twice but result was about same. I really do not recommend this class but if you have to take it hmm I have book email [email protected]. I will sell book & give you all H.W I have ^^
Teacher is boring, vain, and has no respect for students. She finished her Comp Sci degree over 10 years ago and thinks everyone is incompetant with computers. I had to attend a wedding, and asked for a make up exam, and she said my family had to schedule around her syllabus. Avoid her if you can.
Not a good professor at all. You will learn more from the TA's. She doesn't help you if you have questions, she won't even clarify exam questions if the wording is off. She is slow to respond to emails and expects you to plan around her schedule. Makes no exceptions for anything!
She isnt a very approachable woman, and comes off as a know-it-all. However she is a good prof. and very knowledgeable. Go to all the classes, and copy the notes exactly. I havent read from the book yet. Exams are easy. There is a project due every week which is annoying. I liked her teaching style and would recommend her.
I am enjoying the class, its pretty easy as long as you pay attention and go to lectures and all.
Stupid, stupid teacher. She has very little knowledge or understanding of computers, yet acts like she does. Very unapproachable. Realizes that at least half her students know more than she does, but wishes to act like they are nowhere near as knowledgeable as her. Was a linguistics major. I have no idea how she was hired, because she is so stupid.
See the TA during their office hours and they will do all the homework for you. Need 451+ points for an A in the class, saw her for extra office hours, I got 450 points and she gave me a B+, wtf?? Thanks a lot
her lecture is sooo boring...
Lets just put it that every lecture i attend I get closer to shooting my****with a pistol. The professor constantly critizes the class, and feel the need to jusify her knowledge over a topic she clearly has no idea about. She laughs at her own jokes and think she is funny... She is very smug and thinks all the students are stupid. Her tone is always condescending and I'm pretty sure she hates teaching. Her lectures are boring and she isnt funny. The second exam is 3 weeks after the material on which it is to be tested on was taught.
She is the epitome of the C word. Seriously this is the worst class I have taken at Rutgers. She is unusually into herself and her thunder thighs. I love how she bragged that she can speak Yiddish. Highlight of the semester right there.
She basically thinks she knows more than you. Dont take this unless youre dead set on business...she makes you learn javascript which is as useful in the business world as a plot line in a****o.
Her definition of a computer disagrees with book. Only like 2 chapters in the book worth studying. All notes for exams from boring lectures(morning ones especially). TAs are helpful and projects are important for high grade.1st exam is cake, 2nd is brutal, final was a compromise between 1st exam and 2nd( format wise)
talks down to class a lot. can be amusing at times but gets in the way of class time which she blames on students for wasting. organized, but she contradicts everything the book says or doesnt give detailed explanations. TA's are only saving grace of class. they are helpful and are the ones who help u to get a good grade. second exam is a killer
This class is so easy. If you go to lecture and try to do the homework, you will get at LEAST a B. Those who don't just thought they could get by with taking other people's homeworks. The exams are easy, multiple choice and some long answers. The programming part may be harder for some but, like I said, just try to do the homeworks by yourself.
If you want a good grade, you have to attend lectures and do the assignments. Her lectures are very good for everything but the second exam. Grades are given on a point system. Most business students don't know much about programming and computer related topics. Instead of blaming the professor, go to lecuture and stop cheating on the assignments.
Ignore everyone's comments, if you know Java easy A, if you don't know JAVA lets just say its terrible, impossible to get an A, but likely to get a B..... not a class to boost your GPA... try to find another teacher, trust me on that!!!!!!!!!!
NOt hard at all. Ta's post examples of hw online, so just follow theirs and ull get almost a 100% on HW which counts a lot. Find the old exams, they are very similar. GOt an A, and i suck w/ computers
She writes her jokes before class, often times they are subject lines in her slides. Her dry, sarcastic humor makes me want to eat my own notebook. Don nott attend her office hours because she is very impolite: she sits with her feet on the desk, stares into space, and acts like she Mrs powerful/important upon one's arrival while offering no help.
This class is so easy.If u go to lecture you should be fine. The 1st exam is a joke got a 96, the 2nd a little harder because is Java, and the final I found out to be a little confusing because of all the excel ?'z.Trust me try to get all the exams from previous semesters is the same exact exam.I love this class and the TA's help a lot, got an A

Carol is nuts! SHe struts around, thinks she knows it all and rules over everyone. If you canget past that attitude tho the class is moderate. use TAs for help and use their websites examples too. you must go to class and res to get notes and to get help with your assignments. read the chapters on Java and HTML and you'll do fine on 1st n 2nd exam
kind of easy class but shes annoying and a horrible professor. Ego is too big. The answer key to the test is known to be wrong, so check every question she marked wrong because you could be right...it happened many times. html is easy, but java is a little hard. Excel is even easier than html.
this class is NOT hard. it might seem intimidating but its not. Go to recitation and just listen to everything the TA's say. As for the prof. she is a good person. even if she is a little downgrading at times, overall the class is not hard and she does want people to do well
ok maybe her jokes suck and she laughs at herself but overall an easy class...also make sure you go to recitation, thatll help alot...lecture helps too but not really necessary...if you dont get at least a B your just lazy, there is no other reason not to do well
Very easy class. She is a very good teacher even though she laughs at her own jokes and misses about 4 classes.
Class is easy if you put just a little effort into it. Go to Recitations and to lecture, take some notes, you'll be fine. Her jokes are corny, her ego large, but if you show just some effort, she'll help you out. TA's will bend over backwards to help.

ok out of so many ratings u can make ur own decision but...bottom line she is alright...if u have no previous experience in computer or java n want to get n A in class 1)do all work 2) find a partner who knows everything coz tht will help in exam n assignments 3) be cool with TA...otherwise teacher sucks..also dont waste money on her new version
She has been absent about 5 times THIS semester and we are about halfway through. She thinks that her jokes are funny and she there is really no need to waste your time going to her class... chances are she wont show up.

Never really showed up. She skipped more than I did and I took that type of class in high school so I didn't show up much. Simple to get atleast a B in.

Nasty attitude. Class was canceled a few times both announced and unannounced. Most of the help comes from the TA.
I had her for Fall 2006 and she was not helpful at all. She did not show up for class atleast 6 times and did not cover the lectures. The computer science department was not even aware of this untill students went and complained, and was replaced in November. Do not take her, if it is your only option, rely on the TA.

Wow, I was just thinking about this professor when she was around in fall 2006, I remember that when we took the final, they didn't have enough final exams to pass out. The TA just threw papers on the ground and said that the final is going to be held on another day and made everyone go home. Good thing I knew all this stuff before I took the class
