Great teacher. Really cares about her class and her students. She will be right by your side the whole way. I had her in the summer and she made 16 weeks of work seem like nothing. I hate math and still received an A.

she is so sweet. she made math 50 so easy. she does not demand anything. if you do the homework or not it's on you. you don't have to turn it in all you have to do is know the material and be prepared for the tests.

I really dislike math cuz I don't pick up mathematical concepts easily. I'm currently taking stats with her and I like it. Stats isn't even what she enjoys either.

One of the best math teachers I've ever had!! She makes math interesting and easy. If you don't understand some of the concepts, she'll be more than happy to tutor you. If you do the homework, you'll obviously ace the homework quizzes.

I liked her teaching style, she is very pleasant and tells funny stories sometimes. A lot of people hate math and it's nice when a teacher can lighten up the lecture with a few laughs.

IF Math is not your area, you need to take this class. She is very clear on her lectures which is helpful. She is awesome, funny, and helpful.

Great teacher! I made the mistake of taking this class ( Math BA 51) during the summer. Yikes! Working full-time and having to due homework and the on-line ALKES program was really tough. But the professor will take the time to help you. One piece of advice, if you struggle with math, don't take it during the summer!!!!

She is a great teacher and is very patient. Be prepared to spend time on the online Aleks program and do weekly HW with no exception. Some may consider her hard but just be willing to learn and you will. She has a great personality. Highly reccommend her!!

She rocks! Ever helpfull, always available to help you, even when she is eating lunch. She makes sure everyone in the class gets what she is saying and wont move on until everyone gets it. Is very nice and funny and is the best math teacher I ever had.

I really like her. she's very helpful & makes sure everyone understands before moving on. she even walks around the room to help! shes extremely sweet & always has a funny joke to tell. i took her during summer so i had tons of hw, but it was worth the A i got! her tests are easy if u pay attention, but take good notes! & always have a calculator!

Mrs. Smith is an excellent math professor. She's made everything clear, and she is extraordinarily helpful- she wants you to pass. Super kind and funny. Math is my least favorite subject but because of Mrs. Smith it is my favorite class.

She is one of the best professors i have ever had. I hate math, but needed this class for my major. She breaks down the material to such a level any and everyone could and should understand it. Lot of work but the more you do the more you will understand. Class gets easier and easier hand in there and pay attention.

BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!!! super nice. extremely helpful! graphing calcuator is a MUST in this class!!! lets u use one page of notes front and back on the exams!! no mandatory homework though it helps a lot on the tests if u do it. overall the best math teacher ive ever had!! reccomend her to anyone!!!

Mrs. Smith is very patient and willing to take the extra time needed to help her students grasp the material, which can seem overwhelming at times. A TI-83/4 calculator is necessary, and you are allowed one sheet of notes for each exam. Practice exams are giving before each actual exam. I would definitely recommend!

I hated math but she was extremely helpful. She went out of her way to answer even the simplest of questions so that there was no doubt as to how to do the work. She even had days where attendance was optional (right before an exam) and on those days she would stay and help answer anyone's questions.

Relatively easy class. Nice quirky older lady. Makes the subject matter easy and if you have the time before or after class, she makes it even easier. Can be a bit strict but she lets you know upfront what is expected.

Super helpful and encouraging. I am legendarily bad at math but she took the time to help any students who were struggling and I managed to pass with a C (whereas I had previously dropped the same class with a different prof the semester before). If you're struggling, go talk to her, she really will go out of her way to help you.

If you had a nice grandma, thats what she will remind you of but with more pep. She knows the subject and will do everything in her power to help you understand. She refuses to move on until everyone has it down. Very fair, very honest, and relatively strict.

extremely helpful, i previously took this course with another teacher and had to drop because of differences in teaching styles, the difference was night and day. I loved the way this teacher introduced new ideas and answered questions thoroughly. I am glad i took this class and would recommend it to any student looking to learn and pass math bd.

I have been battling math for a majority of my college career.For her class you must go to every class,take notes do the homework and ask questions or visit here office hours if you don't understand something. That's it. She has jokes some funny some not but she tries.You can't smile your way through this class.She will nicely tell you ur failing.

She is clear, kind, patient, and genuinely cares about her students' success. She encourages students to turn to her for help if they don't understand the material. Know your arithmetic! :-)

Professor Smith was such a great teacher, i would recommend her to anyone who is strong or weak in math. She helps to explain something to the best of her ability to try and get students to understand material. Very available when you are in need of help after class, during, or even through email.

i love carol! she is very sweet and helped me a lot. i dont lie math and she goes over every problem and explains until you understand. homewok isnt mandatory but all the problems on the tests are from the homework. i highky recommend this class

Mrs. Smith is a fantastic professor. With that being said, she is somewhat strict in regards to her expectations, outlined in the course syllabus. Make sure and make it to class each day and the chance to pass is laid out before you. She makes herself more than available for folks who need additional clarity.

Mrs. Smith is incredibly bright! She has been doing this for a long time and has been able to iron-out any and all problems that present themselves during a course. She understands exactly what it is that trips students up and is extremely clear and concise. With that being said, Finite Mathematics is tough, give this class everything you've got!!!

Ahh Carol Smith!! I love her! She's an amazing professor. If you are in any way confused, she will try her best to help you understand. The exams aren't that difficult. DO THE HW. This will help you so much. Also, ask her anything! She is there for you. Btw, she is super friendly and hilarious.

Taking B22 in my Summer term was a little rushed, but Prof. Smith makes it work. Her lectures are to the point and she'll work with you until you understand the material. Classes can be long, but you'll get a break in between. It's easy to follow and the tests are exactly what she lectures on, no tricks. It was a fun Statistics class, recommended.

I am not a math wizard and Carol makes math more pleasant with her tips and tricks. She goes over any homework questions you have and is always willing to help. Would recommend her to anyone that struggles with math.

Carol is a really nice and funny teacher. Sometimes she will tell funny jokes. I've been taking algebra since 7th grade and failed every year until now. I thought I was bad at math. Idk what happened but Carol really made math easy for me. I'm passing with a "B" right now. The class is fun, short and easy. I just wish she would teach B70 :D

Her lectures are clear and explains pretty much how to do it. Thus, only used textbook for homework. The test questions are VERY similar to the homework problems. Grades are only based on the exams but not really hard if you paid attention in class and did the HW. She will readily answer all questions. Not boring and easy to absorb. No regrets :)

Very clear in explaining the process. Helpful. Homework is required for practice and a must to pass the exams. She will answer ANY and ALL questions. You can tell she truly cares about what she is teaching. I would take her class again and wish I could have her for every math I need to take.

Carol Smith is the bomb. Not only is she kind and helpful but yet very smart and knows what she's doing. She makes Math very fun and easy. I see why students take her but I feel like her interaction with students is cold. Finite math was advanced, but she really helps you understand it when lecturing. Do the homework! It's not mandatory but its very similar to her test. She only gives 3 test and 1 final, each worth 25% of your grade. So do good in all of them :)

I absolutely hate math and was dreading re-taking this class, but prof. Smith explained things so clearly and I actually enjoy going to her class. The homework is not hard, and your grade depends on your tests. So do your homeowrk, don't skip class and you'll be fine. I passed this class with a B the 2nd time. Highly recommend her for math B70!!!

This professor was great at teaching Algebra. She answered questions, gave reviews for test, and was willing to be there for help outside of class. Math does not come easy to me and this professor made learning Math fun. As long as you do your homework, show up for class, and ask questions no one should not pass. Excellent teacher!!

Carol Smith is such a sweet heart! She is very patient and so very helpful. She loves to help her students in understanding math, so she will explain the work, if asked, differently for your understanding. She is also available outside of class for that extra help. I loved her jokes in class. Her grading scale is very understanding and simple.

Let's just say.. I am en English major, this was my first math class in college. Professor Carol is the best. She truly cares and wants us to pass. I scored a 92% on her final!! Let me repeat, I am an ENGLISH major!! She is awesome. I took her for math B60.

She assigns homework after every chapter section which I suggest to do because it is really helpful and helps you practice the material covered. Her quizzes are taken from the homeworks and are easy points. The tests are comprehensive of everything from homeworks to the notes given in class. And she is always available for any extra help!

I had her for both B1A and B1B. She is a great professor that teaches in such a way as to where "she meets you halfway." She does not grade homework, but gives short quizzes. The only reason one does not get the grade they want is surely on them. I could have got an A, but I didn't because I slipped up at the end, not because she is a poor teacher.

While the class being online, she does try to help. Her lectures are prerecorded and is always willing to help if you attend the zoom meetings. But you must study and do the homework to pass.

She will knock off points for little things on a test but overall thought she was good with her teaching in her lectures, the class is based on quizzes and exams for your grade

Mrs. Smith was great! She explained stuff so I could really understand the material. I would recommend her. The videos were helpful and then I just asked her in class about the stuff I got stuck on. This is the best I've done in a math class.

Although I didnt pass the class, I am hoping to retake it with her. She is definitely the best Professor at BC, she is passionate about her classes and students. She really provides all the materials for you to succeed. Previous Professors allowed cheat sheets and I think that is what led me to failing, however this is your BEST OPTION to pass!

You are graded by few things in her class (only quizzes and tests), however that is standard for math classes. If you struggle with math I highly recommend her. I hope to have her again.
