eastiest frickin professor in the world. very helpful always willing to give a hand. a daily journal of like 6pgs everyother line, its a breeze. easy mid-term and final. just one book to read thats interesting and at times not interesting. i recommend her for anyone thats not into english, cuz its an A/B, just show up and act like your payin' atten

SUCH A GREAT LADY!! her class is very organized. you do the same routine every day, but every day is fun and interesting. you have a journal which is a free write and worth a lot of points...very easy! WOULD DEFINITELY TAKE HER AGAIN ...BEST TEACHER

Super easy and a very nice person overall. As long as you get started early on the term project to give yourself a lot of time (oops!) you should be able to just breeze through this class.

The class is cool and easy to take! A lot of music, videos and other fun stuff. To get an A, attend class (it really matters) and read book. Term project is really cool if you like any mass-media nitche. Exams are open-book, open-note. Carol is also a very nice person, wants to know each student personally and cares about everyone.

Come to class on time. Stay on top of the readings and assignments. Don't plagarize or else she'll hunt you down. Come to class with a open mind and listen to your classmates and trust me, you'll learn something. Carol is great so don't mess with her cause she's very good at what she is doing.

This was an easy class. Carol loves her students and loves Journalism. You use the Stylebook for nongraded spelling tests and the news writing book for small quizzes. The midterm is open note, no final, two projects. If you want to improve your writing/grammar skills or love journalism take this class! The class went to Rubys on our final day! =)

I love her. She is a big time USC fan. She is easy on her tests. The only bad thing about her is the journal writting 7 pages.

Carol is really an amazing teacher. She really cares about her students and their success. I had missed about 2-3 weeks of class for personal reasons, and explained to her why. She let me catch up, and even though I didn't catch up entirely, I still got an A in the class. One of the best teachers at Saddleback. Definitely learned a lot.

I have taken Carol for 2 semesters now, once for English 300 and now for English 200. I love her. She seems more of a friend then a teacher. I think sometimes people take advantage of her, which is sad but she's so sweet she just gives in. She is awesome and I would recommened her to anyone! I will miss her very much! :)

Carols' class is a must take. I loved it. She actually made me love english, which is something I was never thrilled about before. Take it!!!

Her lesson plan is the same each day for the entire semester, which consists of: a spelling test, 5 questions of the grammer reading (didn't even read and got them all right), you read this really intresting book and take a 5 question quiz on it (once again super easy) and you write how it relates to you in a journal that she provides. shes a goof!

She is a great Journalism teacher and she clearly enjoys it. By the end of the semester she wants you to realize if journalism should be your career path. She actually cares about her students and tries really hard to get you an A. She passed every student in my class and brings relevant issues to discuss. Take her if you can!

Carol is one of the best english teachers here at saddleback!! She has a big heart, and for those who struggle with english, SHE IS A BIG HELP! As people have mentioned, she has a structured class, and the material she wants you to know is basically "COMMON SENSE". So just be there and participate and actually read, and its a easy A.

There is 5 question test at the beginning of each class over the material you were supposed to read at home. If you read and show up every time you should get an A. When it comes to essays she only does essays that the department requires. She will explain everything until you understand it. She is a tough grader on essays and a grammar Nazi.

I loved professor Ziehm! She's so funny and her class is actually a lot of fun. It's one of the few classes I didn't have to stress about. Wasn't any homework, only major assignment we had was an 8 page paper. The paper was super easy and actually so funhelpful to do. Definitely take her class if you want to be entertained and get an A :)

She wants students to succeed. One way students can succeed is to get there books and bring them to class. She wants students to read before coming to class.

Professor Ziehm is the best. She is so caring and is fair and kind to every one of students. She is a very easy teacher and if you go to class and do what she asks you will pass no matter what. There is one essay that is 8-10 pages but don't let this stop you from taking her. The essay turns out to be really educational and helps with your career.

It's an easy A,but not a lazy A. She is really nice and here lectures can be very entertaining sometimes. Just showing up to class gives you points. The daily quizzes are annoying,but if you read or even skim through the book you should have no problem with it. The essays aren't hard. The midterm and final easy also.

It's not easy because she's easy, it's easy because her personality and teaching style makes you want to learn! I used to be bad at English, getting low grades in the classes, but I finished this class with an A! I actually tried because she's just that awesome. I highly recommend her if English classes were always your weak point in high school.

Her class is easy and I learned a lot about Morrie's story. I did all the work she required and I did not miss anything but she only give me a "B+" on my final grade. I ask her to round my grade to an "-A" since I am very close of getting it but she said "No". Now all my work and effort in her class is useless. I thought she's nice.

She is very up beat and fun. The carriculum isn't bad and most quizzes don't count for a grade, just participation. She is such a sweet lady. I would take definitely recommend taking her class.

Carol is one of the coolest professors I've had. There are five question quizzes almost every class, but as long as you read the chapters assigned, you can easily get an A. Not a hard class at all. My only complaint is that after the quiz, she lectures on the same material you just read, which is not terrible unless you have ADD, like me.

Took her for english 200 and was literally the easiest professor ever. She really cares for her students. She is not a hard grader, but do read the book and textbook she assigns because she does little five question quizzes that are easy if you read. I recommend taking her. If she had a English 1A I would take her.

We only read one book throughout the year, very simple quizzes on each assigned readings. She is such a sweet lady, but don't take advantage of her. Easy class to pass, just put effort and she is very picky about essays and your grammar skills.

Class was straightforward and a easy A. We were graded on a few things, but the most difficult thing was our semester long research project. (Which is a requirement for nearly all CTVR/JRN1.) She is a very fair grader, and goes out of her way to get to know her students. If you show up, do the project in time, and participate you should easily pass

Having her as a professor was a really fun experience. I would definitely recommend taking her class.

ENG 200: Absolutely an amazing teacher. I was out of school for 6 years because of the military and she got me right back into the swing of things. Her lectures are engaging and the classwork is easy if you pay attention. She also cares a ton about her students, and will treat you as an adult as long as you act like one. 5/5

Id choose Mrs. Ziehm again. Because she makes sure we all get to learn something new hat we didnt know before about English. ANd writing sentences. Id recommend students at saddleback college to take her as your professor because shes very good at the job she does. As herslf as a teacher and to make sure her students learn.

This class was so easy! There are short quizzes everyday either on spelling, grammar, or the book we had to read. We also had to journal and you can leave early if you finish. The midterm & final were easy too. Definitely take Carol if you can!!
