She is really nice and the class is fairly entertaining. The assignments are easy if you just do them. However, the some of the test questions come out of nowhere. Her tests can be hard to study for so watch out.

friendly teacher. terrible class. it's painful to go to class to learn about stuff that's common sense. then the terms you'll have to learn have different definitions than you'd think. lots of made up material to memorize. tests are hard. final is hard. the only way to pass with an A...memorize 300 pages of slides...

She was extremely helpful and responded to email with lightening speed. Her PowerPoints are great and contained all info for the final so I felt prepared - unlike my friends with other teachers. The material seems easy, but there is a lot so you do have to keep up. I highly recommend her - she at least tries to keep it interesting.

She explains things really well. Print out the powerpoints and bring them to class and take notes on them and u will do fine. To get on her good side say something about Nelly, she loves him!

Shook is an awesome teacher! She really cares about her students, and trys to narrow the material to just the basics. She loves Nelly, and the animations on her powerpoints. She is a sweet person, and is BY FAR THE BEST TEACHER to take markets, and human capital from. Wish there were more teachers like her.

She makes the information interesting. She is enthusiastic. The people that don't like her tend to try to wait until the night before the test to study - there is just too much material to do that.

For marketing GO TO CLASS and take notes on the power points. Study the power point notes and definitions from the book. You do not have to read at all. Its straight definitions and power points. The tests are not that hard, plus easy points from group project, attendance, and participation. Ms. Shook is one of the nicest prof. and very helpful

Makes Markets and Consumers a really easy class. Basically just reads right off the powerpoint, but she'll basically tell you what will be on the test when she reviews. Yelled at us one day for having our cell phones out, but other than that she's a sweet heart

Best choice for Markets and Human Capital. Sweet, genuine and wants her students to do well. She will tell you exactly what's on the test and final. She gave extra credit for coming to presentations, and tons of bonus for attendance. Take her!!

Carole Shook is a great teacher! Her classes are easy and she does her best to make them interesting. You have to go to class, but you end up watching youtube videos for most of the time. She is willing to work with her students outside of the classroom and is very flexible with projects. I really recommend taking her!

Take her for Human Capital and Markets. Carole is sweet, very helpful and concerned about her student's grades. She tells you exactly what will be on the test and is very fast with updating grades. You have to go to class but it goes by fast. She's a good person to write recommendations for you.

I took her for Financial Resources. She moves pretty fast but I didn't have to buy a book and still managed to get an A in the class. Study her powerpoints and you're set. If you need help of any sort, go talk to her after class. She's one of the most genuinely caring professors I've had to date and genuinely cares about her students. Take her.

The best professor I've had at the University of Arkansas, bar none. She made Financial Resources a truly fascinating subject. Going in, I absolutely dreaded the class; I left it an accounting major. Carole Shook is always friendly, helpful, and kind. Study those incredibly organized yet concise Power Points, you'll be fine!

This professor is the most helpful professor I have had. Little to no homework. Gave us the powerpoints and went over the stuff that would be on the test. All you have to do is just go to class and pay somewhat attention. I would reccomend this class to anyone.

Goods and Services is a tough class to get through, but she does her best to make sure you understand as much as possible. During the project, she extended office hours to accommodate all the questions. I heard others talking about their G/S class and how horrible their professors were. Shook is great!

This is one of the harder core classes for business, but Shook does a great job of trying to make it easy and help you anyway you can. She will do anything to help her students. She calls roll so you have to go to class. You need to go everyday to understand the material anyways. I bought the textbook, but it is not heavily used.

Goods and Services is probably the hardest course in the Big Four, but Professor Shook does her best to explain difficult concepts and assist students if they need help. She is very nice and encouraging and I think that it's good especially because of the difficulty of the class.

Professor Shook is the best teacher I have had in Walton College so far. Her class has difficult formulas but she clearly explains concepts and gives plenty of practice problems. You don't need the book for Goods because she teaches everything from the powerpoints which you are able to print. Take her section if at all possible!

I loved her online class! She was very clear and descriptive in all of her lecture videos. You DON'T need the book. Everything for the 2 exams come from the videos. I ended up with a B due to a low grade on the first exam but it is NOT hard to get an A. Do the work, go visit her in her office, and you'll definitely pass with at least a B!

Really easy class. You can print out the powerpoints at the beginning of the semester and learn everything you need to know for the entire course. She takes attendance, though, so show up. Super nice lady. No book required, and the only homework was eight online open-note quizzes throughout the semester.

100% take her if you can! She is my favorite professor, go to class and study for like 3 hours before a test and you will make an A!

Carole is very structured with her courses. She is also very strict with her expectations. Come to class to get attendance points. Book is not needed. If you study you will make an A for sure. She is a great instructor and is very easy to understand. One of the best at the university.

This professor is considerate of students and fair. She will work with students to help them understand material, deal with scheduling, and establish connections for professional career. I would have never thought transportation would be interesting, but this professor gives activities and current news to make this course intriguing.

Shook was a great professor but her exams are very wordy and HARD. I spent hours studying for her exams and hardly made a C in the class. Great professor, terrible exams. She spends time in class watching youtube videos and enjoys talking about her dog, not sure that those are related to supply chain at all...

Mrs. Shook is so sweet and definitely cares about her students. The lectures are not terribly boring and it is really important to go to class for them because you cant find that study material anywhere else. Go to class and take notes and you are good, the tests are not difficult if you do these two things.

I highly recommend Professor Shook if you must take an SCMT course. While you need to complete the weekly homework to do well, she is willing to help you understand the material and gives great feedback on how you can improve your grades and where your strong suits are. She responds to emails and answers questions very efficiently. A+ professor!

Mrs. Shook has been one of my favorite teachers at the university. She lectures only from power points and repeats the stuff that will be on the test, so take notes. Tests come straight from the power points so go to class. Very caring and nice. Would take her class all the time.

She's a great teacher, very kind and cares about the how the students do in her class. Also has a great understanding of what she is teaching. Only con I can think of is her tests have questions over random facts from the lectures.

Carol was very nice. There are 12 module with quizzes, 2 tests and a cumulative final. Modules and the first 2 test were easy but the final is way more difficult than the other tests. I would recommend taking it online if you can.

Top 5 best professors at U of A easily. Very clear lectures and cares about her students. Cancels class the class after tests. Pay attention in class and you should have no problem. Repeats things that are going to be on tests and reviews very well material that you need to know. One group project and one individual project outside of the tests.

Great teacher with clear requirements for the class. She takes attendance every time and solely lectures on content with occasional supplemental video or worksheet (not worth points). She tells you exactly what to expect on the exams and provides extra credit opportunities. 100% would recommend.

Professor Shook is one of the best professor I have taken in SCM. She is very caring and gives everything you need to succeed. There is a simulation, a presentation, two exams, and the final. Be sure to go to class or you will be lost.

I loved this professor. The course work and the quizzes really helped keep my grade up. I took her during a summer session, and all of the material was crammed into 1 month. I didn't do super well on the first test and she reached out to me first to see if she could help me do better. I would recommend being consistent with studying. I loved her.

Did not think I was going to get an A in this class till a week or two before finals. Tests are not terribly hard but aren't easy either. Group Project started like halfway through the semester. Was not bad as long as you put some work into it. She offers extra credit which was probably what gave me the A in the end.

Professor Shook is very personable and cares about her students. Beware of strict grading submissions (if you do not submit it 100% correctly you will not get the points what-so-ever). I enjoyed her class and it was very beneficial.

I loved Professor Shook so much last semester that I'm taking her again this semester! She is so cute and so kind, she is super willing to work around your life and personal issues that might come up. I loved her teaching style and how everything was laid out to help students get a good grade!

Professor Shook is extremely nice and cares about her students. Everything she talks about in class is what you are tested over. When it comes to the assignments, she makes sure she is very clear on what you have to do and how to do it. Overall, I really enjoyed her class.

Dr. Shook is an incredibly kind professor and is very caring about her students. The class is not difficult and if you do your part you should get an A. She loves animals also which is fun.

The simulations at the end of the semester are the hardest and most time consuming assignments in this class. However, she opens them up early and is there to help if need be. As long as you turn the simulations and excel/tableau work, you'll be totally fine in this class.

Professor Shook is the sweetest professor I've had at UARK. She explained everything clearly in class, and we only met once a week. She provides detailed steps and videos for every assignment due so that you're guaranteed to make an A on everything. Only two exams on lockdown, and they don't ruin your grade if you do poorly.

If you can follow directions, this class should be the easiest A ever. Don't go to class because you won't really learn anything. Assignments are easy but time consuming

Best professor at uark. She is so kind and understanding. if you can, take this class during an intersession because she makes it so enjoyable. She is also very helpful with all the assignments. if I could rate her 100000/10, I would.

Dr. Shook is the best professor that you can have for Information Systems. During intercession, we took notes about several topics, short case studies in class, and all excel projects from Cengage were walked through in class. We ended early all days. As long as you studied a little and completed the easy simulations, getting an A is no problem.

When I say run and take this professor, I mean you need to sprint. She is so caring and her work was probably one of the easiest things I have had to do. I got a 100 on all assignments and above a 90 on all the test. She makes this class very passable. She replies to emails very fast and actually wants her students to do well in life. TAKE HER!

Easy class if you do the work. The tests were alright but the lectures were boring but I can't expect too much. All around good class and def should take if you have the chance

Professor Shook, in my opinion is a very good teacher. During lectures she goes over everything that will be on tests. She tries to interact with her students too which is nicer than most professors. I feel like I learned something taking her class and now I am going to minor in info systems because of this class.

The tests are hard. The homework isn't but will take at least an hour. Would definitely take again.

Professor Shook is great! the class is super easy if you just do the weekly hw assignments. They are not hard but you'll definitely take about an hour or more to complete them. Exams are pretty easy to if you just study the material. Also it's important to learn excel, salesforce, tableau etc. for us business students.
