Latin Amer Lit. Class was interesting considering where we are.. However, you do need to read, poetry and literature. It is easy if you do the material.

Hospital is awesome, I couldnt ask for better. She has a great energy that seems to rub off on to her students and she shares surprisingly helpful insight in terms of writing, as well as life.Each classes was different and I never found myself to be bored while there.I highly recommend her.

Super easy. Just do what she tells you, read what she wants you to read, and WRITE. It's as simple as that, my friends. Nice lady; a little on the flakey side.

I went into her class thinking that I was a horrible writer and after I left her class with an "A", I realized that I was a good writer. I did work hard on my essays, but she made the class interesting. I definetly learned a lot in her class and it helped with future classes.

I thought her class was going to be easy,but after taking her class it was the worst.She's an awesome person,but as a professor her class is extremely overwhelming.I did learn a couple of things,but it was too much for me to handle this semester.I would recommend it only if you have 2-3 classes.

This teacher overwhelmes you with work. She does not care that u are taking other classes its all about her!!! do not take her class unless u want to fail. I didn't but she made last semester a living heel. A paper, read a book in class, outside of class, and homework all at the same time. Take her if u have like 2-3 class only.

This is by far the best teacher @ Miami Dade! But only take her if your ready to work hard, because she does not play around! You will read and you will write like crazy... But you will also learn a lot. I passed it w/ an "A" it's not impossible :)

I took her for 1102 In this classbe prepared to write. She is wonderful. DO NOT take this class if you are not interested in Miami b/c that is what this class is about. Huge research paper and 10hrs of voluteer work. I got an A in this class while taking 5 others. If you apply yourself you will dramatically improve your writing skills.

She seems like a very nice person, BUT If you do other things than school, Ex.WORK or are attempting full time school... good luck. Lots of tiny text reading,journals, and a bunch of random "visit an author and write about them" projects. It's true... This class is ALL about her.

This Proffesor has driven me to writting on my own, although you have to get used to the sound of her voice because at times she tends to lose it. She inspires you to write and guides you in the right direction with her journals and such. Awesome proffessor, direct and clear. You'll see a great improvement in your writting, it helped me for 1102.

If you take her for ENC 1102 you will be learning about Miami, at first i was like no its bad enough i'm in mia i don't want to learn about it but she makes it interesting cause she has a lot of passion about it. Don't take her though if u don't have a lot of time on your hands.

This is an AMAZING teacher. She doesn't grade very easily, but will help you in any way she can. Her essays all have interesting topics and they ae fun to write. She is probably the best English techer I have had.

The BEST ever. Gives you choices for essays. Fair grader. she will make you go to the lab if you have a c, but if you get a c then you need to go to the lab. By far one of the best professors I've ever met! She has such a great personality and love for her work. She is extremely kind with her students and is a fair grader. By the end of the semester, you'll be surprised on how much you learned from jsut one class. I'd recommend her to anyone!!!

Great professor. I definitely learned a lot from taking this class with her. She teaches so well and is really nice. This class isn't easy but its hard to not pass because Prof. Hospital really inspires you to do the assignments and do well in class. She inspired me to take another literature class, even though I don't need to take it to graduate.

After having the prof. from hell in ENC1101, Prof. Hospital was a blessing. She gives a lot of reading & quizzes from the reading, but the books are interesting and so are the assignments. She takes writing to another level. She gives extra credit & as long as you try, she will help. Good luck!

Prof. Hospital is an outstanding instructor; passionate about what she does. Take her if you are not afraid of academic challenges and hard work, that is the only way to excell in your writing and reading skills. Even when you are no loger a MDC student you will think about everything she taught you and put it into practice.

Professor Hospital is pretty awesome. She won't take slackers though,she'll take you seriously as a student if you show a sincere effort which is only fair. She's extremely intellegent and confident in her teaching skills. She also has a great "silly" side that promotes humor in class. Overall, I loved taking her for my wtiting class.

prior to taking this class, i was very insecure about my writing. she encouraged us to write and was very helpful with her feedback. she assigned some reading (i didnt consider it alot) and writing assignments, and a journal project which was a lot of fun. I graduated last year and transferred to FIU. Def miss taking her classes!

Amazing. You WILL learn. She makes class go by fast, tons of information, attending is NOT mandatory but if you miss a class you will fall behind. I took her during summer A. It's hard to get an A in her class. She will do her best in order to help. She has her own memoir which makes her strict on grading. I would retake her.

It's amazing to have an english class taught by an author. She teaches what she knows and what she uses, and she helps her students a lot. The class isn't hard but there is work to do. There is no slacking in this class. Books and stories she assigns are very interesting. I learned a lot in this class. I HIGHLY recommend her!

Professor Hospital is a qualified educator who cares for her students and who makes sure that her students learn the craft of writing. Four or five essays and the final essay in class based in a novel. Take her, you won't regret. However, don't expect her to open the book or to write for you. She is an amazing professor.

I took her class on summer A along with a humanities class. Because is only a 6 weeks period, you should expect to write a journal and an essay per week. She is a published writer, so she will expect you to write accordingly (not an easy A). However, if you want to learn how to write and do it well, this is the teacher to go

ENC1101 was amazing because of Prof. H! She is very clear when explaining assignments. There are no quizzes or tests, the final is an in-class hand written essay. You do have to work hard to get a good grade but because she tells you exactly what's required, and explains what you did wrong on the rough draft, all you have to do is listen.

She was very kind and helpful, and she would always leave notes on our essays and talk to students who were struggling. The way she explained things was very clear and simple. She offered lots of extra credit options, and let me turn in some late work to help my grade. I would definitely take her class again.

This professor is so inspirational, genuine and fair. I would definitely take her again. Every class was interesting.

She is an amazing classic professor, she is not there to hand you grades nor is she there to hold u back. She saw that the first exam was not the easiest so she changed her ways and adjusted to the class. She likes interacting and she touches upon the best literary works of history, she is inspirational, friendly and makes you deserve your grade.

Prof. Hospital was the best English teacher I've ever had. She's an inspirational lady who wants her students to succeed in the class. The essay prompts were insightful & fun too! What I loved most about her is that she would remind us that "bad writers" don't exist. Like everything in life, being a good writer takes time, effort, & practice.

There are only 5 graded papers in her class. The final essay counts as two, so 6 grades total, but requires a C or better on the final to pass. Semester starts with in-class assignments to help improve your writing skills before the graded assignments even start. She offers easy extra credit and cares about your progress. Taking her again for 1102.

Very sweet and understanding. She cares about every one of her students and will adjust to their schedule . She gives extra credit and lets you redo assignments. Most of the time she lets you out early if you finish your assignment.

A writing teacher that actually knows her stuff. She will give you honest and accurate feedback so only take her if you really want to improve as a writer. Her lectures were brilliant and smart. Overall, I loved her common sense and intelligence. She is also very practical, focusing on quality rather than quantity when it comes to her assignments.

I've taken Professor Hospital for three classes, the lowest grade I ever had being a B. Her tests are easy mainly because she is always reviewing in class and she's the sweetest and most understand professor ever. Take her! She always gives feedback and tells you what to expect.

This lady is a genius and you will learn. Essay topic are easy but her grading is very tough. You better be great at writing if not you will struggle. Lots of reading 4 essays with a 4 page essay at the end.

I can honestly say that this Professor made me a better writer. She gives great feedback on your papers and helps you through the entire process. She is a tough grader but that's what pushed me to write better. I improved a letter grade each essay I turned in! You will have to read and use all the books she asks for. She's great, I recommend!

One of the best classes I have taken! From every English teacher I have taken she takes the crown on being the best. You do have to read a lot, but the books are amazing!!! Essays are very easy if you like writing and the topics are very simple. Awesome class.

NOT AN EASY A! She is super nice and an amazing writer BUT Professor Hospital will make you work for your grade! She is a very tough grader. I was the only one in the class that got an A...

This was quite the challenging course. I hadn't taken a legitimate writing class for a while. Professor Hospital is a tough grader yes, but she WILL improve your writing skills. The assignments are spaced out around 3-4 weeks per essay, which gives you more than enough time to ensure that you perform well. There's also two in-class essays.

Only 4 personal essays, 1 outline, mandatory in-class final on novel, and a few journals. Definitely would take her again. She's sweet and understanding, truly a gem! Prepare to learn and improve.

Prof. Hospital was the best ENC1101 professor I could have asked for. She actually teaches you how to write and expects quality work from her students. This class is definitely not for slackers but if you put in a reasonable amount of effort you will get a good grade. She is also incredibly understanding and is always willing to work with students!
