Was an excellent prof considering this was her first time ever teaching. Since she is new she had a hard time explaining sometimes but she is always willing to meet with you in her office if you need help. definitely recommend.

Her strong background in statistics made the calculations easy, she will teach you alternative (simpler) methods than the textbook. Always gives feedback and recaps areas the class should focus on for exams. Attendance isnt necessary but youll get an easy 80 at least if you do in comparison to reading the overly dry textbook thats redundant.

Had Carolyn for my Comm 104 tutorial, she is the single reason i understood and was able to suceed within the course. She provides very good explanations and examples and really makes the material easy to understand. I highly recommend going to her tutorials and taking a class with her if ever available

Carolyn is kinda crazy, but in a good and quirky way. Prof Augusta is very passionate about stats and makes it fairly easy to follow along in class, but her cryptonite is that she sometimes gets ahead of herself and talks very fast. I havent looked at the textbook yet and have 90.5% so far.

I enjoyed Carolyn very much. As long as you show up to class and pay attention. She's super good at explaining things clearly and answers any questions anyone has.

Carolyn is an amazing professor for statistic. It is vital that you attend class or else you won't have the examples as she only posts the question and not the solutions. Her tests are very similar to the in class material - she is not trying to trick you. She does move fast but there are often several similar examples to allow for practice. 10/10

I had Afshin for comm104 and I had a horrible time, I couldn't understand a thing so naturally, I was not excited for comm207, but Carolyn turned that right around. She is very clear and concise, very structured and organized, and in her lectures, she tells you what to worry about and what not worry about. If you need to take 207, GET IN HER CLASS

Carolyn is an amazing professor and gives everyone a fair chance at a good grade! She really does care about her students and listens to feedback. The ONLY complaint I have is that her class average is very high going into the final so she will likely have to curve it down. She's a sweetheart and a great prof, highly recommend.

I had her for my COMM 104 class. Her lectures are almost all you need to do great in the class. I only went to her lectures, and all of the information you need to do great in the course she will cover in her lectures. You won't need to buy the textbook, as she has written her own online textbook for us to use. I would take her for all my maths.

I was never a stats person. However, professor Augusta explains stats in a simplistic and easy to understand manner. Attend lectures and you'll be good!

Carolyn was by far one of the best profs I've had, she provided great notes, and would have weekly quizzes so she would know how well you were doing. Cheat sheets were allowed in the midterm and the final, you could put whatever you wanted, and as much or as little as you wanted, 11/10 recommend her.

Clearly is passionate about the course material and gives plenty of chances for marks (4-7 question easy weekly quizzes, 3 assignments, exams). Will basically be available to help whenever you ask. Took the first year stats classes with her too and similarly she provides her textbook for free

She really cares about her students. Always accessible, never makes your feel stupid for asking even the simplest questions and gives great detailed explanations. If you can't make it to office hours, she will respond to all questions via email very quickly. 10/10 person and professor. Some weeks, the textbook feels long, but that's to be expected.

I took the online version of this class. If you are a mathy person, this class extra help/live lectures are not necessary. Carolyn had an appropriate workload for her students. This class was the easiest class I've ever taken. Got 100% on every quiz, 100% on 2/3 of assignments, and 14/15 on both midterms. Carolyn has very clear lectures and sets up the modules in a way that sets the student up for success. To do well in this class, simply go to the lectures and do the recommended ungraded questions before each quiz.

She was super awesome! The only note I would make is that the midterms are nothing like the quizzes. Quizzes are a walk in the park and midterms and final was quite hard. The class has 10 quizzes, 2 midterms, 3 assignments, and a final. I would recommend her to a friend.

Her class is very manageable. There could be more examples, but it is easy to do well. She responds to emails quickly and provides good advice. Assignments are marked pretty fairly and there are a couple attempts for quizzes and tests.

If math is not your favourite subject, then be mentally prepared to do ALL of the practice exercises from the required reading, example videos, tutorials, and review questions if you want an 85%+ final mark. Also, make sure to read the required reading and prepare your questions on areas that you do not understand BEFORE every module lecture.

The exams can be slightly trickier but, to be honest, it's not completely out-of-the-box questions. All you would need to do is give it a few moments to think over it.

Her tests are quite short, so be sure you know the material, since 25 marks ain't a lot to work with for the final and mid-term. Material is simple and presented easily and clearly.

Really good teacher, but has a real hard-on for not allowing any graphic calculators in class despite the class not having anything to do with graphing or any way to cheat with one in the class. If you have one, she'll take it away and can't justify why you can't use it. Really weird given calculus allows them.

Tests are tricky, you need to prepare a lot for them if you're like be and aren't very strong in math. The second test was a lot easier than the first one. She gives lots of material that can be used for studying and wrote the textbook herself. Her lectures were very engaging and she doesn't expect you to know anything going into it.

Had her for 104 as well, and all I can say is that she is a super good teacher. Provides numerous examples in class and always makes herself available to you for help. Beware of midterm test 1 for 207, though; it's a tough one.

carolyn is really good and works hard at teaching students. if your not super math smart you'll need to really put in the work to do well and hiring a tutor is a good idea. first midterm was really difficult and she had to curve it a lot cause hardly anyone passed, but the 2nd midterm was much easier to study for and the final wasn't too bad.

Honest review, she is a good teacher. The only hard thing about this class is the material up to Midterm 1. Everything that follows is a cake walk. Spend most of your time reviewing the first half of the course. As everything that follows, once you know it, you know it.
