Very cool teacher. Relaxed classroom setting. Do your homework and pay attention and you will be fine.
Very rude and unhelpful, showed up late CONSTANTLY for one on one help...Do NOT take her...I know nobody that has made higher than a C in her class
She very very nice and she will try to help you as must as she can but the clarity of the information is to complex for someone whom taking this subject for the first time
I think she's very fair. You can't expect help when you haven't done any of the work yourself and she'll call you on that. She can be funny too.

She is a good teacher...never leaves notes on the overhead for you to copy, and wont return to the previous page if ya ask. Not hard really, but doesnt ever really seem likes she wants to help you.

DO NOT TAKE HER- she does not explain the material at all. She shows the problems on powerpoint. You can't teach math by flipping through them and she will not repeat herself if you ask a question she doesn't seem like she wants to help anyone.
She only helps us out if we inform her we need help. Does teach strictly out of the book, has no fun things for us to relate math to (yet). She makes the math seem simple when she breaks it down...doesn't stay on a chapter long, so you have to keep up.
She is a really nice lady! Her teaching is hard to understand because she goes really fast and doesnt really explain the problems well, i guess we are just supposed to know how to do it but thank goodness we have the notes and book! she is cool just tough
She makes you work hard. You have to do the homework. If you want to learn, the class is easy.
She is ok, but I am used to understanding Math, but I can't seem to do well in her class.
Good Teacher and very helpful. Explains things very clear and offers bonus's and extra credit.
This teacher is AWESOME!!! She wants to get through the material that she has planned to do in class, but if you have a problem, she will make arrangements to help you after class or during the math lab. She has a great sense of humor and really knows her stuff. Not a monotone, always a plus.

She's not a very good lecturer and being in class isn't really that helpful, but luckily she doesn't take attendance. If you can't learn the majority of the material from the book, look for someone else.

Hard at first and moves a little fast. If you don't speak up and say you need help she will continue to move fast. After the withdrawl date she does extra credit like crazy. I thought I was going to end up with a C but came out with an A.
She has no worries. She never gets upset and teaches her class the same whether it is full or empty. Very nice woman and prepares you well for the test.
she should be a teacher not a math nazi! she should learn how to teach the class instead of seeing if we have any questions and then looking at us like we're dumb becuase we do. it's all in the ability to teach. I found her VERY LACKING!
shes very dull and leaves out a lot. I learned more college algebra from one of my fraternity brothers t han her.
She is horrible. That is all there is to it. I failed miserably...lost HOPE...I never missed a day and I could never figure out what was going on. She was not a very thorough teacher. Didn't even show up on review days and gave us the test the next class meeting. Do not take her if you are not good at math.

Unfortunately the only thing good about her is her personality (if she likes you). I think she's just ready to retire; she doesn't like going through steps (important for Calculus) she confuses herself and is just kinda lazy. I'm afraid I couldn't recommend her especially if you need extra help. But do the homwork and read the book-you'll do fine.
Horrible teacher...doesn't want to help any of her students. 90% of her class fails. Get another teacher if you have her. The class is hard because she doesn't teach the material at all.
She is very unclear in her teaching. She skips steps. And she gives mutple choice test with all of the steps as an answer choice, So you aren't sure when to stop or keep going

Absolutely the WORST professor I have ever had in all of my college expierience! Do not take this lady, she will either cost you $300+ dollars to withdraw or your GPA in the worst of ways. Attend class and do your homework, but I even did that and didn't do well. The class average for our first test was 60 percent... a failing average - go figur
She has great powerpoints but tends to skip over steps she assumes you know, and then looks at you strangely when you ask her to show them. She goes too fast and explains too little.
I stress to everyone, do not take her class. She is very unorganized, always late to class, and skip steps in problems that she assumes you know, and then looks at you like a complete idiot if you don't understand a problem. It is horrible when the class average for the first 2 tests is a 60. I gurantee u if u take this class, your GPA will drop
I suck at math and i havent made below a B...if you to class, do some practice, and actually try, you should be fine...not a hard class
dude & dudettes. this class is crazy 4 test and hardly any extra credit. multiple choice but the answers could be anything. i HIGHLY suggest taking someone else.
This class is a breeze she gives the notes online and ahead of time. She teaches you how to do the work and gives plenty of example problems too. Do the homework and ask her as many questions as you like and there is no way you can fail the class.
She has little personallity but presents the subject material clearly. She uses power point for all class meetings. She also puts the power point on her web page for students to access. She gives several easy oppertunities for extra credit. The test are all multipule choice and very easy as long as you do your homework.

Great teacher. Wonderful attitude towards learning. A little too fast for me, being out of school for 3 years now. When I could keep up she was very clear and always helpful! Her tests are a little tough but if you study and/or take notes you'll do fine.
Honestly, this class isn't a breeze, but neither are any of the other math classes i heard about, so if math comes easy to you take her. Even though nobody liked her, i actually did cause i felt like i was in college and not in high school being babied anymore. Study your notes or the book for the tests and you'll do fine.

She is not helpful at all. i dont recommend her as a professor for this course. She is one of those teachers who go to class for a paycheck. If you go to her office with questions, she always has an attitude. DONT RECOMMEND!
I hated this class she's so boring. And wat she's teachin u da way she says it just confuses u. I STOPPED GOIN AFTER THE 1ST TEST AND JUST LOOKED AT THE NOTES AND TRIED TEACHIN MYSELF. I MADE HIGHER ON DA NEXT TEST than da 1st. I kne I was goin 2 fail cuz both scores sucked. NeVeR TaKe HeR!!!!

Your grade relies on 4 tests which I failed miserably because i just could not teach myself! p.s. I took Abdollah Khodkar in the summer and got a 95 on my first test and am PASSING with a B!! I think it's ridiculous that all she does is read off powerpoints. I could have saved my money and just done that myself! We could get a 3rd grader to do that for us. Not a college proffessor. Huge waste of time and money.
Luckily I have already taken this class in high school, or I would be failing miserably. I truly feel sorry for my classmates who have no idea what is going on. Explanations would be extremely helpful, but all we get is a PowerPoint and no originality. She did not even make the presentations.

worst teacher i have ever had. it is more confusing to go to class than it is to just study on my own. she is no help when it comes to questions. most times when explaining something she explains it wrong then spends half the class trying to figure out where she messsed up. by far the worst college professor i have ever had.

She is a really nice professor but I swear to God she is not a good one. I thought professors were supposed to teach, not just read off a poweroint. I could have done that myself. If you do happen to get her, 1) drop the class or 2) go over her powerpoint ahead of time and teach yourself the lesson...

Seems like a nice lady but cares more about updating the status of her grandkids than being a good teacher. Class is absolutely pointless. Test are ridiculously hard. And to top it off, quite frankly my 14 year old sister could do a better job explaining the material. Bottom line, dont take her. Like ever.

Terrible professor! She barely teaches if at all. She reads off powerpoints and doesn't do very many examples. She's not helpful at all! You will basically end up having to teach yourself like I did. I wouldn't reccommend her to my worst enemy. Get OUT now while you can unless you are good at math already and have no problem learning on your own

Awful teacher, complaints have been made but she somehow sticks around because of her tenure. If you can't teach yourself, dont even try. She doesnt teach, period. Her lack of preparation and teaching skill are very apparent in the first week. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

In class, she only writes down everything that's on her powerpoints online, which you can print out youself. My math lab was more helpful than her. DO NOT TAKE HER. Drop with a 'W'!
This was the WORST professor I have had at UWG. She taught from power points provided by the textbook publisher, and couldn't answer questions because we were in a huge lecture hall. She doesn't give a DAMN about you. Unless you know everything you need to know about Algebra and don't need a teacher, STAY AWAY. Very cold and completely unhelpful!
WORST math teacher I have ever had in my entire life. I asked about 6 questions total in the class all of which she wasn't able to answer. DONT TAKE HER! I love math and always came easy to me until her class. And she messed up on grading people's tests. Students were actually getting B's on the exam but she graded them as F's
Writes on Board and asks if you understand it. Makes homework part of your test grade, 100-200 problems at a time on homework.
DROP OUT OF HER CLASS NOW!!! If your not good at math prepare to struggle. She tends to move at a fast pace and even numerous error while teaching a problem.
I went into this class fearing the worst. But the teacher's actually nice, and very willing to help. That being said, she's completely incapable of teaching college algebra. But I don't think you're doomed if you get her; Simply review the chapter before and after her "lessons," and do the homework. If you don't, you're sunk.
Soooo, I had Mrs. Autrey for College Algebra my freshman year the first semester! Math is not my cup of tea, and she definetely made me struggle!!! Lots of homework on mathlab but do it bc its the one thing you can make good grades on. Passed her class w/ a C. Out of 5 test i failed 1, made a D on 2 and C's on the other 2, only God knows!!
This teacher is by far the worst I've ever had. She is always making mistakes, she moves way to fast for anyone to comprehend, and she has no soul what-so-ever. She does not care if you fail or pass, she's still getting paid. I have never had so terrible of a teacher in my life. I'm great at math, she changed that.
This teacher was horrible i hated this class. I love math but she made me want to hate it. Although attendance isn't mandatory you should go cause that is the only way you can get the study guides. Don't buy the book just purchase my math lab cause you never use the book. I dont recommend her class to anyone. If you have her GOOD LUCK

We did NOT use the book in class. You WILL need to buy MyMathLab (MML) though. You need to stay on top of the MML. She's stern, but still a nice woman. (FALL 2010 UWG)
It's difficult but not impossible. She covers 2 sections a class. She seems stern but don't be afraid, just pay attention. She will stop & ask if you understood the material before continuing, SPEAK UP IF YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND IT! She hates repeating herself, so LISTEN THE 1st TIME! Make sure to keep up with your MyMathLab! I made an 87 (FALL 2010)
She really isn't that bad if there are a couple of class clowns in the class and I've heard she is much better since she got married. She does a lot examples and MyMathLab makes the class a breeze. She gives Practice tests too! There is no excuse for failing.
Autrey tries hard to help others succeed: she gives out study guides, she takes questions, she'll re-do things if you ask her. But she just cannot teach. These concepts are really easy to understand if they are taught correctly. So if you're stuck with Autrey and you totally lost, go to tutoring. It really does help.
