Davis is an AWESOME professor. Not only does she understand the course material well, she will teacher you how to better your life in the process. She does lots of community service and gets the students to participate for extra credit. Talks fast!

Honestly one of the best professors out there. You have to be a complete lazy ass not to pass her class w/ an A. Don't get me wrong it's alot of hard work but well worth it when she only gives you 3 tests, Legislative, Executive, & Judicial. answers are given to you and just as long as you are on her good side, she will love you to death.

shes super hyper...lots of homework but easy...test are easy except essays those can kill ya but i passed her class w/B she gives lots of extra credit which can pump up a letter grade.

She is one of the best professors i ever had. Her test are extremely hard. U have to memorize at least 6 essays. The essays have to be detailed or u lose points. You can easily make an A but you have to study at least 10 hours to memorize all the essays, fill-n-the-blank, and matching parts.

loved this class! you had to study, but she gave us copies of her outlines, when she said highlight, that pen had better be open and ready to go! I still have some of those outlines 15 years later, use them to teach some of my own government classes! Still remember her requirements to be a president .... male ... hmmm wonder if that has changed

Memorization is definitely the key to passing her class. She's a good teacher, talks extremely fast, and demands alot. However you'll do fine as long as u somewhat study and plus she offer alot of extra credits.

She was absolutely brilliant! She is demanding but it's understandable. She's giving you a small whiff of the real world and she's giving it to you the same way she got it.

Best teacher I've ever had!! She talks fast, glosses over things, but you get used to it. She treats/expects you to be the college level students you are, this isn't a cake class but it isn't super hard either. She gives you everything you need to do well, just spend a little time studying/memorizing and you'll be fine.

I loved everything about her, she made me believe! If you are determined and ready to go, just like her, you'll do great. Be ready to study hard, she prefers you to memorize. I didn't do too bad.

THE best professor that I've ever had! Expects only the best and a lot of work, but guarantees a good grade if you do. Lectures very fast, but tells you what to highlight on her notes for the test and gives EXACT expectations from students. VERY passionate about teaching and cares about her students. if you dont like govt DO NOT take her. she lectures fast and sometimes gets out of the subject to tell you about a personal experience. the test is short answer, she gives you the answers to the questions but expects you to write everything she gave you.

Well DO NO TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE!!!I am not sure how her in class lectures are, but online is terrible. 1. 6 tests (each 60 questions in an hour) 2. 3 reports 3. mandatory reviews with over 100 questions on some. If you dont like govt. dont take her, if you do like it youll do fine. I have never minding alot of work but she gives way too much.

Very good teacher she gives you everything to study for in order to be ready for an exam.A lot of memorization because the essay questions are long, but she is helpful and gives every student a chance to pass the class with an A+

Profess Davis is very friendly and she not only uses the text book, but also uses her own handout (notes) to make our life easier.One downsize , too many homeworks and essay ques in the exams but if you can deal with it, you will certainly make an A.

Do NOT TAKE Her Class! This class is not an easy class. There's a lot of assignment readings and the Test are VERY hard. They include Multiple Choice, fill in the blanks, Essays (about 5) per test, and matching. If you want to save yourself Extra work, AVOID this class and SAVE yourselfs from PURE HELL!!

This is an easy class. Not hard at all. However there are lots of works to do , but it will be worth it at the end when you will find a high grade in your transcript. Professor Carolyn Davis is the best teacher I have encountered in my life. She offers nothing but to give it to the students without any expectation.

Unequivocally the best teacher ever. Her lectures are meaningful (even if they go off-track). Tests are long and require work, but the life lessons she preaches about are worth taking the class for. I was an apathetic student before her class, but I now attend a top 20 teir 1 law school through her help and praise. Truly amazing person and teacher

Awesome professor who cares about her students & is prompt in returning emails. Hurricane Ike forced the Fall '08 semester to lose 2 wks b/c of power outages. When classes resumed, she relaxed the deadlines for the rest of the semester. Lots of reading involved, Discussion assignments weekly, and exams make up the bulk of the grade.

Ms. Davis is not the type of professor that gives out A's. She expects a lot from her students, but she is very helpful. She does a good job of keeping the class interesting and I loved going to this class last semester. I really recommend this class

So far in this class, she's made it clear that she doesn't appreciate people that waste their time in college, which it should be. Some people still don't realize what a good professor is and its a shame there's even one negative comment about her here. Lots of homework and reading, but she is very helpful. You have your time and money well spent.

Incredible professor. Very clear in what will be on exams (three for her GOVT 2301/2301 courses) which includes the final. One research project also easy. She makes sure you keep up with current events and answers ANY questions a person may have. Undoubtedly one of the best Professors I'll ever have.

Tough, to the point, extremely hard tests, no bs type of teacher. As hard as her class is, once its all over, if you pass her class, you feel like you can accomplish college. In a weird way, I am happy I took her class because she is so tough that all my other classes now seem like a breeze. If you just want the grade, this is not for you.

She is the best Teacher. A awesome professor that I ever had. Yes, this class requires you work but at the end it all pays off. The test were a bit hard because it takes repetition and repetition but once you study its almost like a brezze. If you want an easy grade I do not recommend her but if you want to learn take her. She loves her students.

Good professor. Took her online as first Angel pilot class and she was very helpful and understanding. Took awhile to respond to emails but overall, very helpful and friendly. Recommended!

BEWARE OF THIS TEACHER. She changes due dates DAILY. i have taken numerous online courses and never had a problem until this one. Do not take her class! When you try to clarify due dates she tells you to read the syllabus which conflicts with due dates in class. (which change daily) THINK before you sign up! online newbie or veteran...DON'T DO IT!

By far the worst teacher ever. She is very unorganized and changes the due dates without giving a heads up. Her study guide barely helps for the test, and her tests are unfair. Also her grammar is horrendous for those of you wanting to take her online.

I'm not going to lie, at first I did not like her at all! But she turned out to be a great teacher. I am taking her online and she is really willing to work with her students and owns up to her mistakes. I hate government so it was hard for me, but I guess if you are into that kind of stuff then you would be good.

I came into the class not giving a damn about government and I left wanting to minor in Political Science. Need I say more? You'll have to work hard in her class, but its worth it. She's a great professor and a great person to know as well.

This professor is very straight forward.She pushes you to succeed. She gives you all the resources that you will need to be successful in her class.But,you must put in the work in order to "Trade Chips" with her.She teaches you alot about life.She comes to class dressed to the nines.But don't let the smooth taste fool you. She is really nice, and gives you a lot of extra credits; which will be very helpful at the end. Gives a lot of homework, but gives you enough time to finish it. Do not procrastinate and you will be ok in her class. But even if you do just do your homework and you will be much able to pass your tests.

Took her online class. Mandatory study guides were ridiculous, especially the 210 question one. Exams are not worded similarly to the book and her instructions aren't very clear. Gives too much busy work. So long as you stay on top of your reading you'll be okay, but I wouldn't recommend her online class at all.

Very professional, you know exactly what is expected. Helps in a timely manner and gives you a full credit for simply finishing requested assignments. Requires large amounts of question answering with the textbook reading, but you get a good grade due to answering the questions she provides, and you get credit for answering the questions.

I took her online class and it was extremely easy! She grades fair on all of the work she gives and makes sure all students are confident in their work. Although you're not in a class she is always available! I would reccomend taking her online course.

Very fair and answers questions in a very timely manner. Took her online and although she gave a lot of study questions, she gives you the grade you deserve when you complete them on time. She even has late days, but I recommend you do them on time. She's very clear about what she wants and how she grades so you have no excuse in her class.

Teacher must think this is the only class you are taking. Interesting and ridiculous go hand in hand. I don't mind studying but most of this work is just "busy" work. The mandatory study guides are unbelievable. The 12 page syllabus is unorganized.

If you plan to take Govt. 2302 with Mrs. Davis plan to pay attention. Her class can be extremely hard if you dont do exactly what she says. If you do then you will have no problem passing..she basically gives you the answers to ALL the exams you just have to READ.

Took her online class. It's a lot of bookwork but it really does help you prepare for the tests. She's prompt in answering your questions. You never have to guess when anything is due because she tells you. Plenty of opportunities for extra credit. You get the grade you work for in this class.

lol, I had Carolyn Davis for GOVT 2301 & 2302, in the 80's, and she owed me credits when we were done. She is the best quality professor a student could ever come in contact with. My study group was the best! You want to learn something you'll use the rest of your life...take Davis' government class and show up.

study guides manadatory (over 100 questions) and when you take the test, questions are over things you have never seen before, took this class based on comments. Feel like many were not honest. I did all the required work and readings and exams must have been random test bank question because many were over things never discussed.

She is one of the most influential teachers that I've had during my college career. She is very inspiring, and makes her classes enjoyable. I laughed a lot at the way she delivered her lectures. Professor Davis is motivational and concise with direction. One of her quotes I adore is "Change, change, change, and more change." She gives hope for a different lifestyle than a person was born into. A great leader with informaive information, and she inspires me to always know the facts to make accurate predictions.

If you are the type of person that works 40 hours and has a family plus other classes, this class is not for you. There is a lot of work and the assignments EACH take like 3 hrs to complete. You have to have a lot of time in your hands to do well in this class. I took her online class and even tho I'm not a slacker, class was very time consuming.

I didn't have a strong 2301 class, so I feel like this class was extra difficult for me. I wouldnt take it if youre taking a heavier coarse load than normal or have to miss class more than once or twice. AMAZING class, I learned so much! Just be prepared to do the work. Communicating with her was important, don't be scared, lol.

I had Mrs. Davis for Govt 2302 & could tell from that first fast "hi hi" lol that shed be an amazing teacher. I took this class online and it requires a lot of time to complete assignments. I would not recommend taking this class if you have a very busy or hectic schedule because each assignment takes several hours to complete. Be ready for a lot of work and reading. You will also need to some extra research to review for tests.

She is a very informative teacher. She does talk a lot which sometimes gets interesting and annoying. Her tests are somewhat hard but not if you study. If you take her make sure you are capable of memorizing essays since you have to write it in the exam. She will give you a test based on the test review so just do your side of the work.

This class is horrible. She makes you study about 65 questions or more per chapter but then changes the questions on the quiz. She is very unrealistic and boring

AVOID her online class at all costs! There is SO much busy work she gives you including a 200 question review for the final, a ridiculous number of quizzes and the exams are pretty difficult even if you use the book. I dropped this class to take an inclass one with Prof. Morrison that I learned so much in& got an 87 in her class. AVOID THIS ONLINE!

This women has something smart to say to every questions asked. My expience with this woman was so bad, that I had to set out that next semester. Those questions were not necessary and there were far too many to say that they had nothing to do with the test. This woman made me feel like she was just wicked, because she did nothing to help in anyway

She is not not a professor for GOVT. she is a professor for life. People who generally don't like her is either lazy or dumbie. I recommend this professor for one whom are needing to have their lives changed.

By far one of the best teachers I've every had. She makes an hour and 20 minute class fly by. This class is not easy however. There is a lot classwork, and nothing really built in to pamper your grade. Professor Davis was an awesome professor. I took her for Government 1 and 2 and she was a really great professor. She has many interesting stories that can help you relate to what is being taught in class. She is also very up to date as to what goes on in the world. She was a great professor.

This was her last year teaching and is retiring. Professor Davis was the best professor i've ever had. This wasn't just a government course, it was a class on life. Very inspirational and positive.
