Does a great job teaching using new and innovative slide shows to keep general interest. I recommend taking this class.
Love this teacher, shes so cute and always gives good, relevant examples. For a friday night class its one you actually wanna go to and stay for.
She makes the class really interesting and definately is student-oriented. Hope to have her next year.
Carolyn is a fantastic prof. Completely student oriented and actually listens to AND acts on student evaluations. Fantastic. I'd definitely take her class again.
Great teacher, very fair. Content is very clear and she gives hints about which questions will be on tests or exams. She does listen to students advice, which is always good.
Great prof. She expects a lot out of students, her exams have lots of specific questions. You really need to memorize most of the material. Fill in the blanks are brutal. Multiple choice if fair and she does give easy bonus questions. If you attend class and make an effort you should do well. She tries to help students achieve the best results.
Gordon is a great instructor who brings lots of energy to each class. She actually cares about her students and is always willing to help them. She knows her subject and is very well spoken. As for the person who reviewed her before me, they might consider enrolling in university AFTER they have gained a working knowledge of the english language!
Pretty good prof really nice and enthousiastic. The textbook she constructed was the most dry thing ive ever had to read i was so happy the semester was over so i would never have to read that thing ever again but other than that the TAs we're really nice and supportive. Exam reflects what you've learned in class the fill in the blanks are BRUTAL!
She was always very well prepared. Lectures were long, but usually interesting. The tests were fair, fill-in-the-blank section was awful, but the m/c and short answer were easy if you studied. Overall, it was nice to have a prof that hasn't lost the passion to teach yet.
It is obvious that Professor Gordon enjoys teaching and interacting with her students...too bad more profs didn't share her attitude. Great class and discussions were always interesting. I would recommend this professor and this course.
She is a great prof, makes the class very interesting. Very easy on the eyes as well ;-) Extremely helpful in and out of class. Great class overall
Carolyn is a prof that remembers exactly what its like to be in your seat, because shes still young. She listens to constructive student feedback and acts on it. She's very detailed, and expressive. Do NOT skip her class though, you'll regret it at exam time. She uses small details to weed out the skippers and reward those who go to class regularly
She is awesome. Very down to earth.
Carolyn is a great prof and nothing but your full attention and respct. She makes class interesting, and is always there to help you outside of class if need be. She is very professional with her lectures, but makes sure to keep them light and fun as often as possible. You want this prof!!
I can't recommend Carolyn Gordon enough! Her classes are interesting, she makes everything easy to understand and she is very approchable. Plus she makes going to class more than worth your while. Thanks so much Carolyn (cause I know she reads her ratings on friday nights with a bottle of wine ;) ) - I definitely got my bang my for my buck!!
Carolyn is a legit prof. She knows what it's like to be a student and is super helpful. It also doesn't hurt that she's good looking and relates course material to her personal life. She puts things intp perspective and makes it a sweet course.
Carolyn is a great prof. If you study hard and use her notes, it is not impossible to get an A+ in her course. She is very helpful and extremely relatable :).
Very good professor it's just too bad that she doesn't teach more classes, gives very good examples and she is always very helpful with questions.Has to be the best looking professor at Ottawa U as well
Gorgeous teacher! Make sure you attend her classes since exam hints are given.
Prepared, fun and approchable. Her slides are well put together with great pics. She makes early morning classes enjoyable:).
The lectures are well prepared and Dr. Gordon is a great speaker. But...Oh my god this woman is a bombshell!
Interesting lectures, and she is absolutely gorgeous.
Carolyn Gordon is the best prof at the University of Ottawa. Also she is by far the best looking at the University including students. Take any of her classes you won't regret it
Great professor, really nice, ,hotter than 99% of the students in university.
Shes not the best nor the worst prof at OU. But relax on the movies, if I wanted to watch TV I would do it at home.
I have no idea if that's the right course code, but it was The History of Criminological Thought. The class should have been really boring, but it wasn't at all, and that's incredible because it was 5:30-8:30 on a Friday night. Her lectures were interesting and if you went to class, you would have no problems with the exams, etc... amazing.
Carolyn rocks! Her lectures are incredibly clear and interesting. Lots of movies and we had a guest speaker as well. It was crystal clear what she expected for tests and exams. As long as you paid attention in class and did your readings, a good mark was basically guaranteed. She also gave out a bunch of bonus marks to people who came to class.
I can tell the she knows what she's talking about, but it seems like she has a hard time finding her place between student and teacher. A little heavy on the video, though I'm sure many didn't mind. She's also a little misdirected when advising students what to study for tests...confusing.
engaging, smart, helpful and definitely the hottest prof in ottawa.
Very engaging, helpful, great slides, had very interesting guest speakers! Recommend the prof and class!
Awesome prof. Go to class & get bonus marks for attendance, has a few movie clips, & a few interesting guest speakers! She's always well prepared, knows the material well, & has a good sense of humor! I would definitely recommend her!
She is an amazing professor!! She's so smart, and her lectures are important to attend. She's a very fair marker. You have to work hard but she makes it fun! Guest speakers are soo interesting! I would take the class again in a second
Carolyn is a great professor, very down to earth and helpful. She manages to keep the class interested in the topics, and she's always there to help. I can't recommend her enough
This was my favourite class not just because of the material but because of Prof. Gordon! She was great, extremely clear, gave wonderful lecture notes, GREAT GUEST SPEAKERS! the TA's were amazing and just overall, she is a really nice person who is really approachable and loved to have a laugh. Made my first year first semester great :) Thanks!
amazing, so hot
Prof Gordon is Awesome!! She keeps material to the point and is very interesting. She does, however, speed through her material....the key is to write things in your own words....NOT word for word!!! Amazing Prof!!!
Carolyn is the best prof at Ottawa U. She is fair, fun, brilliant, and gives bonus points for being in class. Hints are given as to what is on the exams as well (in class). I like that she has guest speakers as well. She does show movie clips and I love that because it's always great to have visual examples when you are learning theory.
BEST PROF EVER....HER STYLE OF LECTURING IS SO INTERESTING AND SHE AIN'T BAD TO LOOK AT LOL. SHE IS VERY INTELLIGENT AND I REALLY ENJOYED HER CLASS.
Prof. Gordon is really into what she teaches. The class is high school level, and requires almost no thinking. It's mostly common sense. People enjoy her classes because we have discussions, watch clips and use ppt. She's super nice and she tries to keep it interesting. Maybe not the best class if you're into 'thinking'....
Amazing prof! Actually cares enough to learn student's names. Addresses questions outside class hours and offers extensive exam review. Actually makes you want to get out of bed for an 8:30 class. Sincerely hope she starts teaching third and fourth year courses so I may have her more than once.
LOVE HER!!! i hope she teaches 3rd and 4th year classes....I love coming to her class and spitting into spoons!!! She is awesome, has great stories and examples and keeps the ENTIRE class interested!! AMAZING PROF!!
She makes you want to be in class wether its just to see her because she's smokkin or because your actually interested in what she is saying
So whoever decides the priority list for teachers teaching 3rd of 4th year has to include Gordon in there because she is phenomenal. Its understandable that it goes by seniority but this is an exception that has to be made. Excellent Prof!
Amazing
The best prof at Ottawa U, plain and simple. Makes you like what she's teaching, is extremely helpful, and she's absolutely gorgeous.
Great prof, her lectures are really easy but beware: the tests are harder. Overall she is enthusiastic and fun. and soooo sexy
Excellent professor. Her exams were very fair if you studied enough. She keep text book material to a minimum which means class attendance is manditory. She says a lot in class that isn't mentioned on the slides but if you go to class and study for her exams you're golden!
She's pretty passionate about crim, and teaches it wonderfully. Manages to keep you interested, and makes you want to go to class =D. Also, insanely hot. Just sayin'
Very clearly explains expectancy
Carolyns a good teacher I wouldn't call her very passionate but she knows the basics of criminology. Exams based on lectures so it's pretty easy no need to read lengthy scholary texts... So overall take Carolyns class it's an easy class if you attend class her ta Rochelle was also amazing
this prof makes you like school, that's how awesome she is.
Great professor. No further comments.
Best prof at uOttawa by far! She is so passionate about teaching and genuinely cares about her students. She's not an easy prof; she challenges her students! If you put in the effort, you will be greatly rewarded. Worth changing your whole timetable for her class.
I had this prof twice in one semester for both crm 1300 and 1301. She's a great teacher and enjoys what she does. I loved her so much I took both Theories I and II with her later. She also understands what it's like to be a student so she will reward you for dragging your butt to the lectures. You have to be in class to understand the powerpoints though. Highly recommend those classes!
She is a great prof! She makes herself/ the TA's available for her students and she is very helpful and she is drop dead gorgeous and this is coming from a straight female haha :) Take her class, you won't regret it!
I loved this teacher so much, it made me want to switch from Psychology to Criminology, and I love it!
If you like highschool, take this class!! If not stay away because she is aweful. Copy notes all class every class, no learning involved
If you enjoy high school learning and slide copying I guess this is the prof for you. For any ACTUAL university level learner just stay away. Useless slide copying and note taking and no learning during class time. Easy on the eyes, hard in the brain.
The PowerPoint slides that she posts are intentionally incomplete so that students fill them out in her class. When there is a movie, make sure you are there to see it and take notes. Her exams tend to focus on tiny details, which sucks.
She is an awesome prof. I find she explains things clearly, has bonus trivia to bring up grades, lots of films. Overall good class for first years. She understands what it's like to be a student since she's young and helps out. Her test are extremely relevant to class lectures, films and readings, she is fair.
She is very passionate about what she is teaching. Unfortunately she is blind to the fact that their is more to university learning then showing up to class and copying notes off of slides. Loves testing you on useless facts in videos and random slides which is really annoying. Exams are very tricky and a lot of time has to be put in to do well.
The professor is a great one! However, her midterms are very hard. She makes the multiple choice very tricky, and the short answer questions are confusing. Nonetheless, her midterms are way too long. The class material is presented efficiently. Interesting course material. Love her power points slide!
LOOOOVE her, she's great! She made me love criminology. Carolyn and her T.As are always willing to help before/after class either in person or through email/virtual campus. I definitely recommend CRM1300 as an elective course..try and get her as your prof
On a positive note, her lctures are lively, she is always available and loves to help students. Always makes her TA's available and is always willing to help. Unfortunately she seemsto set up her students to fail, marks court reports very hard and loves trick questions on midterms and exams. The content isn't hard, she just tries to make it hard.
I really liked Prof Gordon up to the final. Despite the fact I had prepared myself through frequent studying, I couldn't prepare myself for the final. She included questions detail on the final which was probably irrelevant. Like the last poster said, she tries to make the content hard. Otherwise, she is fantastic. Clear, interesting and lively
I didn't really care for university, until I met Carolyn. She made academia interesting, and gave me the motivation to finish my degree. Amazing prof!
She keeps up with the times and actually makes her lectures enjoyable! Highly recommend!
Great professor and her teaching is fabulous, just be careful on the exams which can be tricky!
Great teaching methods!
I recommend this class with prof.Gordon, she makes it interesting!
By far the best Prof i've ever experienced. Very straight forward.Clear expectations. Easy marker. Looking for an elective? Search no further! Makes CRM more exciting than CSI. Extremely understanding. Course is reminiscent of a high school environment, too simple! Attend lectures and read material...no reason for anything except excellence. HOT!
carolyn gordon is a fantastic prof, i highly recommend taking her classes. Her classes are very interesting and she's extremely helpful!!!
OH MY GOSH I love her. One of my favourite profs ever, she is so interesting and makes her classes fun by inviting class discussions and often giving bonus points. She really knows her stuff, go in ready to learn! ps. she is smoookin' hot!
If you go to class, you can fill in the blanks she leaves in her power point slides and use them as notes and dont need the textbook much. If not, then you'll study everything from the textbook.
Awesome prof! She really knows all her information and even brings in guest speakers from all parts of the Criminal Justice System! Very clear and she is easy to talk to when it comes to questions. I highly recommend her!
Prof is the best I've had. I've switched my next semester's schedule to have her in another class. She's polite, enthusiastic, and patient. She has lots of class discussions and includes many videos. She makes every lesson clear and her slides are easy to follow. You can get her lectures online but she leaves random blanks for you to attend class
Everything on the exam is relevant. If you've been in class the questions should not seem tricky or too hard. She even gives free marks away, read the txt before class and answer questions for bonus marks! Prof G is awesome, interesting, and easy to look at :D I even changed my course selections to take another of her classes.
If you attend classes and take notes, you will succeed with an A!! She is very clear on what she expects on midterms and exams, she knows her material extremely well, and keeps classes interesting and funny at some parts. She is very professional, and available to address questions :)
She's amazing, absolutely love her! Gives you everything you need to succeed and she's hot as hell!
Very enthusiastic and thorough with her lectures. Her exams reflect the material with heavy emphasis of her lectures. She's a great prof!
My favorite class and my favorite professor! I would recommend taking a class with her to all of my friends and everyone! She makes it super interesting and she is super clear on what she wants for the midterm and final! Take this class with Professor Gordon!
One of thee worst markers i have a ever had! Theories is hard as is, the material seems fine and interesting but exams kill you!
Great prof! Had for both intro crim courses and enjoyed every class. Used plenty of examples and made things very easy to understand. Midterms and assignments weren't difficult if you studied and did the readings. Definitely my favorite professor so far!
best teacher ever
Great professor, go to class and do the readings. One of the best lecturers I've had.
THE BEST TEACHER EVER! I have her for Intro to CRIM right now & I am so glad I will be having her as my prof next semester for history of criminological thought!! You will love her!!! :)
Carolyn Gordon is an extremely good professor. If you attend all of her lectures, do your readings and take notes during class, you should have no problems in the class. There is a lot of material and studying for exams can be overwhelming, but the exams are certainly doable. Beware of her multiple choice questions though, they are tricky!!
Really sweet prof, teaches material really well and makes the lectures interesting. Always makes herself available to talk to students during office hours and very clear and helpful exam reviews. Loved her and would definitely recommend.
Amazing professor but very tedious class. The textbook is the most boring thing I have ever seen in my life so I relied on her lecture slides (which were blank and had to be filled in during class). I ended with an A- as the essay was graded very easily and the final was somewhat of a joke! Recommend for sure if your interested in criminology.
Attendance is basically mandatory, as the slides are incomplete and need to be filled in within the lecture times. Class material is very interesting but exam questions can be answered in multiple ways with only one answer considered best, specifically with multiple choice, which can be difficult to answer. However, she is very friendly and open.
Extremely helpful, kind, and sweet woman. Never had a bad day during her lectures ! Delivers the material really well and in simple language. Exams and assessments were all marked fairly. Overall, it is very possible to get an "A" in her class !
one of the best profs I had. I recommend you taking her class ! she gives out bonus marks which help you ALOT especially when added to your midterms and final. Her teaching is very fair as in if you attend class you will have the notes :) overall, she's one of my fav. !
This professor although is teaching an easy subject somehow manages to make the class unbearable. Feedback is useless and never points students in the right direction so that they can improve their grade. Her lectures overlap from her previous classes in CRM1300 and she shows too many videos.
Conveys class material in simple language, lots of class participation opportunities, exams easy if you study, friendly, not a lot of reading as long as you stay on top of it, tries to make class fun. Knows to to engage her class and keep their attention. One of the few classes I actually looked forward to. Easily reachable outside class hours.
One of the best profs! I got the pleasure to have her for CRM1300 as well. Attending class is great since you get bonus assignments (easy). She is helpful, engages the class and makes class fun. Her videos are helpful and you learn a lot in an interesting manor. Excellent criminology professor, she is knowledgeable, she gets to know students names!
Carolyn is so great! She explains the content very clearly and uses relevant examples to get her point across. If you take good notes and study, you will do well. Very nice, friendly and approachable! Overall a great prof
Honestly my favourite prof so far. She's funny, EXTREMELY interesting to listen to, and a very easy A if you put in the work. I recommend 100%. I don't have one complaint!
Excellent Prof, tricky multiple choice questions... You really have to know the material well. Very clear, keeps class interesting with group discussions almost every lecture. Would love to have her again!
AMAZING PROFESSOR!!!!
She is likeable and interesting. Her lectures are entertaining. The class is pretty easy, so are her exams. Gives so many opportunities for bonus marks if you actually attend classes. You will enjoy it.
She wants "word for word" answers. Long lectures and powerpoint slides. She gives a lot of pop quizzes. She expects you to memorize every single slide. Would not recommend this class with her.
Amazing lectures with very interesting and focused discussions, and videos relating to materials and cases that are specific to what is being learned in the course. Also several guest speakers including judges, police, and lawyers. She is a very clear and enthusiastic speaker making the material much more interesting and lively. Love this class.
Solid course if you enjoy what your learning as long as you take the time to actually work for a decent mark
Enthusiastic about her teaching, but treats the class like to much of a high school class, was not clear on the court report in what she wanted and marks way too hard it. She doesn't fill out the lecture slides so you have to come to class if you want the notes. Would definitely NOT recommend as an elective. Way too much emphasis on lecture mate
This prof was okay. She gives pop quizzes for bonus marks and is pretty engaging when she lectures. However, she teaches like she assumes people already know what certain terms mean. She also expects you to do a lot of extra things on your own time... Not recommended to take as an elective, recommended if its your major.
Professor Gordon is amazing! Her lecture are always interesting, she brings in experts to talk to the class, and gives out bonus marks! This class was my favorite to attend, and it's not even what I'm studying! She gives great feedback and is always willing to help and just talk!
Best professor at the University of Ottawa. She's the only Crim prof that I've actually enjoyed learning from. Her lectures are great, she paints a picture in your head and gets the idea across very effectively. I highly recommend her to everyone. Not the easiest prof, but you will get your moneys worth and actually learn
For starters, she's very pretty and I like her shoes. Moreover, she's very engaging and gives good guidance and grading criteria and so on. Bit of a hard marker, but you can get bonus points for answering questions in class, so do the readings and pay attention and you'll do great. The exams are entirely based on the lectures so go to class!!!
Attend every single class because the exams have a heavy emphasis on lecture material (NOT posted online). The course consisted of a midterm (60 MC), an 8 page court report and a final which was half MC and half short answers. Work hard, go to every class, take lots of notes, ask questions and do the bonus assignments and you will do great!
She's really engaging in class and uses lots of examples to help explain concepts. Lots of stuff to know, and she grades tough but it's not a boring class.
Professor Gordon really knows the material and conveys it well. If you raise your hand, be prepared for some condescending comments if you don't get it right! Kind of cocky, but if you're serious about Crim and want to do well, just do the readings, pay attention and you'll get good marks! Be prepared for a long court report, and lots of studying!
All I have to say is HOT. Made the class better.
Absolutely AMAZING! Best teacher I have had at University. Very passionate about the subjects she teaches. Would recommend taking her classes even if they are not mandatory. Very clear and explains what she expects from you. Classes are intriguing and fun. Many guest speakers. Pays to go to class. You won't regret taking it :)
Really enjoyed the court room report assignment. Professor gives out such tricky tests maybe per university policy. She's a tough marker and definitely appeals to your empathy when it comes to course evaluation. No, she won't use the text, but you will be tested on nonetheless.
Very Interesting lectures and gives amazing feedback on exams.
Dr. Gordon was an absolute delight to have as a professor. She is extremely engaging in her lectures and very helpful during her office hours. She showed lots of videos in class and gave ample opportunities for bonus marks. The midterms always reflected what was taught in class. Beware: Do not skip! The PowerPoints on blackboard are incomplete!
Favourite prof for first year, exceptional at making lectures interesting and very engaging with students. There for extra help and always kind to her students that show interest through pop quizzes and lots of office hours. Tests are brutal, court report is tedious but overall a great course. Take if you're ready to work harder than usual.
Really awesome teacher, great lectures and was very clear with what was expected. Would for sure recommend taking her class. One of my favourite best profs this year.
Carolyn had great lectures, not to mention the material was beyond interesting. She has great slides, she posts them on blackboard though they're missing a lot of information, so you must come to class. Exams are based mostly on lectures. Grading was okay, my lowest mark second semester, but taking this class was worth it.
So Carolyn, oh Carolyn. What a fantastic Prof. So sad for first years who will miss her during her Mat leave but yea. Go to class and you will get a good grade if you study. I didn't read a Damn thing and got an A and A+ in her classes for first year and gave me 0 stress. Gives extra credit. Participate and she will talk you up to all CRM profs.
Carolyn was an amazing prof! She was very interactive with the class and her lectures were always interesting/never boring. Keep up with your readings and you should be able to answer bonus questions/quizzes for extra marks. On of my fav. profs so far at Ottawa U. Planning on taking another one of her classes when she returns from mat leave.
Her lectures never get boring, she's very engaging and makes a 7-10 class enjoyable. She's really good at lecturing and explaining concepts but her tests and grading can be a little hard. Only 3 evaluations in the course which sucks and is very stressful but if you attend all classes and read the textbook you'll get the A.
Very enthusiastic and positive professor. Conveys course material very clearly and includes class participation to ensure understanding. Course reader is important for the exam. Class is mandatory, power points require filling out. Would recommend this class to someone else. Interesting material.
Professor Gordon is an amazing lecturer! Her class is so engaging and she frequently asks for our opinions. Exams are mostly based off the slides and are non-cumulative. My one complaint were the short/long answer questions in her exams. The questions are pretty self explanatory but you rarely get the full marks for them, even if you deserved it .
Professor Gordon was the greatest professor I had and this is coming from someone who is not even a sociology major. She teaches well, her lectures are great, and she gets you involved so you learn better. YOU MUST ATTEND CLASS TO DO WELL OR EVEN PASS. Bu t overall, good teacher. :)
Best prof i've ever had. She's really engaging and interesting. I had a 7-10 class with her and the class passed by so quickly. If you don't like to read textbooks this is the class for you as all tests are lecture based. I'm definitely going to be taking more of her classes!
The best prof I've ever had! This was her first time teaching CRM 3311, and she nailed it. It was my favourite class to go to each week. By incorporating videos it really helped the class understand the material from a "real life view". Though both midterms are hard and there is a final take-home essay.
Amazing course! Changed my whole perspective. She has such an effective way of teaching material. I liked going to class and studying wasn't bad because you remember most of the stuff she says in class. Tests are fair and in my opinion not that hard, same with the take-home.
Gordon is an amazing prof, and you can tell she actually cares about the subject matter and the students. My lecture was 7-10, and I wasn't bored a SINGLE time and in fact looked forward to going to class. She doesn't make the course easy, however, and it requires a lot of exact memorization.
She really engages the class and she makes you want to attend the lectures. The lectures are interesting and the readings aren't that bad maybe 20 pages a week sometimes not even. Most of the readings are stories and are quite interesting. She gives out bonus marks that are added to your midterms. Great Prof would take her class again.
best prof ever, her exams reflect class material, her readings are very reasonable (course pack follows class material), she makes class interesting, engaging and interactive, gives bonus mark pop quizzes and assignments, she a hilarious and an amazing prof, not a bird course but reviewing well written notes before an exam is all you need!
She's a very nice person and looks like she likes her job. the class itself is pretty good, but the grading is really tough! The final exam was by far the hardest and longest one ive had.
My first, and all-time favourite uOttawa prof: she exceeded all my expectations. Yes, she is beautiful, but she is also very intelligent, engaging, passionate and fair. She won't give handouts, but if you go to the classes, take notes and keep up with readings, you'll do great. Lots of opportunities for bonus marks. If she's teaching it - TAKE IT!
She is such an amazing prof, driven by the content. She knows how to keep her lectures interesting and is pretty inspiring. I strongly recommend this class, make sure to show up to class and do your readings.
She's just the best. No addition needed.
By far best prof I have had so far, you can tell she is passionate about what she is talking about - lectures are always super interesting. If i could take all of my classes with her, I would!
Amazing professor with engaging lectures. Exams are very fair - just skimming through the readings and making really good class notes is all you need.
Took CRM as an elective and it was my highest mark and favourite class, it wasn't the course material though, the lectures were super engaging and made the material very interesting! Do the readings before class and then just fill in your notes throughout the lecture and you're set! Midterm questions on things discussed in class that weren't in txt
GO. TO. CLASS. Her lectures are VERY lecture-heavy. If you do that, it's easy A.
Fantastic lectures from a fantastic prof! I can't say enough good things about Professor Gordon. I never thought I'd look forward to 7-10 lectures on Tuesday nights!
The best prof I had first year! She is so nice and caring! She makes a 7-10 class worth it. Make sure you do the readings very well and take good notes in class, then its an easy A!
She is a really good prof. She makes her lectures mandatory (if you want to pass) but ensures that her lectures aren't boring. She is a very engaging prof which makes her 7-10 lectures easy to go to. Her tests are heavily based on lectures and some readings. She gives bonus points for attendance once in a while and is a very fair marker.
Carolyn's makes her classes interesting and the content is amazing but, do NOT take this class if you don't have to. If you don't show up to your classes you definitely won't pass as her exams are mostly lecture based. Also, her midterms and exams are ridiculously LONG and HARD.
Prof Gordon is a nice person, but I did not enjoy her class. I felt that she could have delivered the necessary information in a 1/10th of the time she used. There was SO MUCH random story time from her and from the class. It really felt like a waste of time. The tests were harder than I thought they'd be, but nothing crazy.
Prof. Gordon is amazing! Do the readings because she will give pop quizzes based on them but you don't need to study them for the exams, only your notes from class. That being said, you need to attend all lectures in order to pass the class. Exams are fair and if you review ahead of time and pay attention in class you'll do well.
Carolyn is a great prof! She tries to get to know your name and is so sweet! But, I found the multiple choice very difficult during the exams. If you dont need this class, dont take it.
She makes the class so interesting and you can tell she really loves her job. Exams are a mix of MC and short answers. The textbook sums up a lot of the lectures so if u cant make it one class, not a big deal. Such a fun class and I highly recommend her as a prof.
I loved this class! If you show up to class and take good notes you will get an A for sure. She tells you everything that will be on the tests during class, so make sure you show up! She was a great prof and made the class really interesting.
She is awesome and so relatable. Intro to Criminology with her was great. There are 2 midterms and a final. Expectations are clear, no surprises. Multiple choice and short answer questions. There is a textbook that you def need. Shell tell you exactly what you need to read in it so no worries there.
Carolyn is an absolute gem. I would take any of her classes again in a heartbeat. There is some essays and a a couple projects, but they are not difficult IMO. She wants to see that youre thinking critically and reflective about how to apply the knowledge youre learning to your future social work career. Some of the material is quite sad.
Great prof who encourages discussion and class participation. Exam questions are pretty much only based on lecture material
Professor Gordon is an amazing lecturer. Her midterms and finals are both lecture and reading heavy. This class is an easy A if you attend her lectures and do all of the readings. Her lectures are very intriguing and fun, and the readings she assigns are not very long and they are very interesting and helpful in understanding class material.
Ok, I liked her. I found her lectures interesting and enjoyable enough. For some reason on both midterms, I did way worse than I thought even though I was at the majority of lectures, taking good notes and doing readings. So I would say if you take a class with her just beware she is a tough grader so you'll need to make sure you know EVERYTHING!
Best professor I have ever had. VERY organized. Fair exams. Skip class and you WILL do poorly. She lectures in a very clear & concise manner. I highly recommend her. You will have to WORK & STUDY, simply attending class does not mean A+.
I had professor Gordon for CRM 1301 and 3312 and I LOVED her! Best prof at UOttawa by far. Her lectures are based on the readings (unless she says she won't cover something) and her exams are HEAVY on class material so go to class and you should do great!
This was my first class taken with Carolyn and she is worth all the hype other professors talk about! Coming to her lectures is essential because her powerpoints do not contain information on them, she just uses them as a guide. The material and required readings are very clear and concise. She's the sweetest, would take again!
She is really engaging and it's really easy to pay attention in her class (definitely does NOT have a boring voice). Almost all of what is on the exam is outlined in her slides but she will make you memorize specific cases and dates that are not in the textbook. If you don't go to class, good luck passing.
She is one of the best professors I've had so far. Her lectures are super engaging and she does her best to make sure everyone does well. Attendance is important though because the slides are just a guide for her lectures and 99% of the content on exams are from the lectures.
I have taken 3 classes with Professor Gordon and I would 100% take many more. She is so engaging and is clear of her expectations for midterms and the final. Strongly recommended that you go to class because her midterms are heavily based on her lectures, but her lectures are so interesting it should be easy go
2 midterms and 1 exam that were heavily based on lecture content so you have to show up to class. I had no problem in doing so because she keeps everything so interesting and has discussions and videos to help understand the content. This was an elective but was by far my favourite class to take. An amazing prof.
Prof Gordon is great! Her lectures are interesting and to the point. There are 2 midterms and one final. Her exams are way too long for the hour and a half that we have to complete them. I'm a 3rd year Psych student and was not able to get through her midterms on time. I studied like crazy and only got a C+ on both midterms...
Carolyn is absolutely amazing. Didn't get the grade I was hoping, mainly because her grading is completely based on the 3 exams you have but she's an absolute sweetheart. Will be taking her again class is interesting and pretty straightforward. The complete version of the lectures aren't available so you shouldn't skip but its worth the time!
Best prof by far!! Her slides are incomplete so you need to go to class but she gives so many exam hints and makes the content interesting so its worth it!
Totally loved the class with her. If you don't come to lectures you won't pass. The lectures are very fun and interesting a lot more interesting information that in the textbook. She is hilarious
really great prof. explains material thoroughly and makes lectures very interesting. that being said, you must come to every lecture because her midterms and exam has info explained in class that aren't in the slides. take her lass if you can! i would even take her class if there were 0 credits to the course.
Absolute gem. The most wonderful Criminology prof at uOttawa. She should honestly just be the Dean or something. Her classes aren't easy in the sense that you never need to work, they are easy because she makes the material so interesting that you actually end up studying on a Friday night instead of partying.
I mean, she's a good professor. Research methods is a pretty boring subject in itself and she does her best to make it fun. One piece of advice: the textbook is extremely useful, but if you want to get above a B on quizzes, GO TO LECTURES.
If you have the chance to take Carolyn do not miss out. She made online learning more interesting than expected. Her quizzes and exam are tough and you will not pass by reading the slides, you need concrete classroom examples. There isn't much time given to write the exams so you also need to understand all the material well enough.
This teacher was nice, kind but assigned WAY too much extra work. They also went over their lecture time by 10-30 minutes. There were 3 tests, one was 25 % another was 35% and the final is 40 %. The grade average for the first test was a 69%. She seems like a nice prof but there is TOO much extra readings for a first year. MANY people failed test 1
Love her <3 Her lectures are clear and engaging. She does assign extra videos to watch, but they're very interesting and I prefer them to readings. I have barely read the textbooks am doing fine. Her exams are open book and heavily lecture based so as long as you show up and take notes you'll do great!
Nicest professor ever! Lectures are super interesting but make sure you dont just take notes from the slides. Shes super interactive & overall just a great professor.
carolyn is a solid professor but can really spark some .. problematic debates. will bring up controversial topics and it can get a little messy. her midterms are insanely long but relatively easy
She is very clear on the criteria that you will be tested on. Her lectures are very specific and she gives very clear explanations so you have full understanding! Would take another one of her classes in a heartbeat!
professor gordon is really good and made class super interesting! make sure you go to class otherwise you will not do well. she makes it super clear what you'll be tested on and as long as you study for a good amount of time you'll do good. make sure you take notes on videos because she asks really specific questions about them
I absolutely love Professor Gordon. I was unsure if I wanted to add a criminology minor to my degree, but after taking her class I did because she makes the subject so interesting. She is very clear about her expectations and does her best to ensure you understand the material. If you go to the lectures and watch the videos, its an easy A. 10/10.
Lectures often went over the time limit. Exams were pretty long but at least not cumulative. I would never take her for a 7-10 as we often ended past 10 (even at 10:20 once). Avoid if you can. Maybe it would be different in person but online was not it.
Professor Gordon is a gem. Although you need to go to class and do your work to get a good grade, she is super fun and interesting and only gives 2 midterms and a final. Studied hard and finished with an A, but don't take the class if you're looking for a bird course. If you're a crim major I promise you will love her.
One of the best profs I've had. She puts so much effort into lectures and enjoys teaching the class. Do the required readings and take good notes in class and you should do fine. This class had 2 midterms (MC and Short Answer) and then a final research paper.
Prof Gordon is an amazing teacher, I wish I had her for more of my crim classes.
I have taken Carolyn Gordons classes for the last 2 years. I actively look for her as my prof and WILL avoid any other prof. She is absolutely amazing! She tries her best to remember students and usually does. She makes class fun and easy to comprehend, and is very clear as to what she wants. Sometimes can assign a lot of readings but its uni! duh
The readings assigned line up very well with lecture content! Watching Gordons lectures is necessary to do well in this course, she does a good job of simplifying complex theories and subjects with examples and scenarios. Her testing is very much in line with her teaching style. She can go on tangents that waste some time, but they are fun to hear.
By far one of my fav profs so far. Very engaging and fun lectures & she really does care about her students. Lectures are super easy to follow and she's just overall a great person. Would recommend her to anyone. Is super considerate of her students and is very easily accessible! 10/10
Gordon is a good prof in terms of teaching style, accommodation etc. You have to attend class to pass her exams but she makes it very clear what to expect on the exam. One complaint is that she decided to make just under half of the final exam based off the last two classes (which were supposed to be review classes).
Amazing prof, never had a bad class. Used an interactive approach in class. Attendance is not mandatory but material on exams is lecture based info. Would highly recommend.
Professor Gordon is the best Professor I have ever had. I look forward for her lectures as she is not boring, she uses polls and padlets, and is fun to listen to. Her tests are average and if you review your notes, you should do well. She is an exceptional professor, especially during the pandemic and online class. Highly recommend her courses!
She's a great prof! She is very caring and engaging. It is important though, that you go to her classes. Her tests/exams are easy enough and require minimal preparation if you just go to class. A lot of her test questions are on videos that she asks you to watch outside of class. The readings are not as important as the videos!
Prof Gordan is one of the best educators I have ever had. She is so engaging and keeps things interesting. She is caring and compassionate. If you pay attention and participate in lecture you should be fine getting 80 and up. I have taken three of her classes and she is absolutely amazing. She a fair teacher and marker. She is awesome! Best Prof!
Genuinely one of the best profs at the school. I have taken 3 courses with her so far in crim and I have enjoyed every single one. there is a slight learning curve to how to complete her midterms and exams, but once you get the hang of it and know what to study, you'll be golden. Loved her teaching styles and definitely learned a ton
I have had professor Gordon for three courses over my two years at uOttawa and she is by far one of my favourite professors. Her lectures are engaging and fun. She keeps you engaged with polls, participation and videos. As long as you watch her lectures and are prepared for exams you will have enjoy this class. Highly recommend her.
I was DREADING taking a research course in second year but this prof made me fall in love with research methods. She makes everything simple instead of confusing us with long explanations that don't make sense and she is crystal clear in her expectations. You will not regret taking a course with her (I've taken three, never got disappointed).
Best proff so far. The textbook is great, not too long and is only about relevant topics. She is lecture heavy and attendance is necessary to pass the exams. But the lectures were great, she got people involved through polls and discussions. Overall, top tier professor, highly recommend.
Prof Gordon is good. Her lectures are amazing and engaging with google polls and youtube videos. You should not get bored in her class. HOWEVER, her exams are hard; the class average at the end of the term was in the 60%. So it is not an easy class; she is a strict marker on the exams and midterms, even for bouns assignments..
Very Chill teacher, love how she's super engaged with the class. Exams were online, Literally told me to next time type out my answers ahead of time and then copy and paste them. Need to come to class for notes, does not post.
Great lectures and stories. To get decent grades you have to note down absolutely everything she says. Entirely test based class. Harder than one would expect, but interesting and rewarding.
My favourite prof this semester: well-spoken, engaging, & clearly states what each exam is going to contain. You will not do well if you don't show up to lectures and TAKE NOTES. Her exams are exactly what you learn in lectures, no surprises. Her teaching style is A1 especially in a 3hr class. If you study what she teaches in class, you'll ace it.
I took this course with her as a 7-10 on a Wednesday night and did not regret it at all. She was able to keep students attentions and knows how to lecture well. Uses real life examples and documentaries to expand your understanding. The documentaries are covered on exams but they are all open book.
Loved taking this class with her! Her lectures are fun and engaging. She gives some videos to watch on your own time, if you take good notes during them and while in class you will be much better off. She is also very easy to talk to outside of class and answered any questions I had very quickly along with the Ta's
Took this an elective as many in the class and she seemed so salty about it - kept mentioning it over & over lol. Would never finish on time. Always ended up trying to fill in her slides before exam (doesn't post full slides, just a few words) & some weren't even on the textbook! Exams were long & horrendous (134 qs..) BUT she is a good lecturer.
If you take a 7-10pm with Carolyn, expect to be there for every. last. second. of those three hours. Slides are incomplete so you have to go to class but she just repeats herself over and over. She makes her exams online and open book but tries to trick you and make you run out of time. Genuinely the worst 3 hours of my week.
I have NEVER experienced such insanity. Talked to the TA about my midterm she said "I feel bad for all students in her classes. You correctly answered the "short" answer questions but she wanted even more information." So I only got part marks. You have 70min to answer 53 multiple choice, and 8plus long answer. Repeats herself. hate her.
Carolyn keeps things interesting in class and keeps people engaged. Have taken her for multiple classes and by far has been one of my fav profs. Highly recommend 3311 with professor Gordon, most interesting class I've taken!
Prof. Gordon is a 10/10. In every shape way and form. If you do bad in this course then you literally are putting little to no effort. It's fun, insightful, easy, and is the golden standard of what all courses should look like. Prof. Gordon is shaping the leaders of tomorrow better than any other prof at uO. Other profs, take notes!!
This exam's and given time do not add up. The multiple choice is easy to navigate but gives essay questions within her exams that are just not easy enough to complete within given time. If you need academic accommodation but haven't gotten it yet, get it before the teachers makes you feel like you have not an ounce of brain power.
Surprised she has so many good ratings (she mentioned how this site is bs in her first lecture). Her tests are super unfair with little to no guidance on expectations. Everyone failed the first midterm because carolyn didnt provide nearly enough time and she expected essay length responses for questions worth 4 marks.
While she may be a good lecturer, her exams are so hard. Although the MC isn't that hard, the expectations for the long answer questions are absurd. With the amount of detail you have to put in, it's almost impossible to secure a full mark on any question with more then 4 marks on it.
She can't get on the same page with her TA, she will give students 50 multiple choice questions and 10 short answers in two hours, but her TA will give you a very low grade and tell you that you didn't write enough answers to the short answers.
Although her lectures are nice and engaging, the exams are insanely hard and the TAs mark so harshly. I am so surprised by her rating.
It is clear that Professor Gordon isn't the professor she used to be. While her lectures are very engaging and uses many modern-day examples for everything, her exams are insanely hard. Definitely do not take if you are not doing a crim major/minor.
she's so passive aggressive lmao. blames every other student complaint on chat gpt
Prof Gordon is a decent professor with engaging lectures. She is strict with what she wants in regards to tests (the only thing we are marked on). It is quite difficult to get full marks for written test questions as the TA's are strict and harsh in their grading.
Professor Gordon is an AMAZING lecturer. Her lectures are very interesting and she is very engaging. HOWEVER, her exams are extremely difficult, they are not clear and she does not provide enough time to finish her exams. In order to achieve a 4 mark question just know you will be writing a novel and it will still not be enough. Very picky!
Her lectures are slides with lots of missing information, as long as you show up to class and listen, you can do very well in her class. The midterms for me were online format, they were pretty easy as long as you had good notes and listened in class.
If you show up to lectures and study the material, you will find the exams to be super fair. The textbook readings are short and easy to understand. Her lectures are very engaging and super interesting. I would take her again!
Her lectures are insanely good, probably one of the best lecturers in the entire university. Lots of present-day examples used and explain concepts reasonably well. My issue is that the exams time and amount of questions don't really add up. You'll show up to every lecture, take notes, do the reading, and ask questions when needed yet struggle....
She is very engaging, however her midterms are very difficult, most people who have As in all other classes have failed her midterms. You have to show up to every class or you will fail because she does not post slides with full content. She gives barely any time for you to write the tests, super content heavy, Tasty are tough markers as well.
Great professor I'm not sure where all the hate is coming from her exams are never a surprise and it's all based on material discussed with no trick questions. Tip: if it is discussed in the readings and in class it will be on the exam.
Attend lectures, apply concepts learned and you'll do great. I'm a sociology major and she made me want to switch to criminology because of how good her lectures are. Highly recommend.
Amazing lectures, I was fully engaged every time. Prof. Gordon uses current examples to help you understand complex historical periods and concepts. Tests will be in-person for the following year, but this time they were online and open book, which provided comfort as the material can be tricky! Overall, amazing class + I highly recommend it.
Do not take this class and be lazy, it is not an easy credit. Carolyn Gordon will test everything taught in the lectures and coursepack, even if it's not written down on the slides. The slides are incomplete on brightspace so you have to show up. This class had online open book exams but she will stop doing them in the future because of AI.
Amazing lectures. I really really enjoyed being in class and the way she teaches. Super engaging. However you MUST attend class to get a good grade. Every bit of information talked about during the lectures will be on the midterms and finals. She is great at communicating what is going to be on the exams. Exams were online but will now be in person
Professor Gordon's lectures are engaging and relevant. While the exams can be challenging, being diligent with lectures, readings, and using unstuckstudy for study prep can really help. Overall, a great class if you're willing to put in the work.
Professor Gordon is an amazing professor. Very energetic and engaging. Her lecture is interesting. This class has heavy lectures. Lots of content was mentioned in class and not on the slides. You need to attend class and take notes to pass the exam. The exam is online is a bit difficult. If you do not study you will run out of time.
Best prof I've had so far, super interesting! If you want to do really well, it's going to take a lot of studying, not an easy elective. Everything in the textbook that is also discussed in class will be on the test and her slides are not filled out so you have to attend lectures. Two 30% midterms + 40% final, nothing is cumulative which is good.
Prof Gordon is amazing! Her lectures were awesome, and worth going to. Her examinations were tough, they were open book but she made it a short time limit and asked very deep questions. If you go to the lectures and take DETAILED notes, you will succeed in this class. She is super engaging and ensures her content is being taught effeciently
Good prof. Won't regret taking.
Absolutely love her! Her lectures are very interesting and she engages with the students lots. I had her for a 7-10pm and the 3 hours actually went by fast. Exams are basically identical to what you learn in her lectures, show up and its an easy A :)
She is a great Prof. Her lectures are very passionative. I did check the box no for attendance mandatory. However, SHE IS NOT GIVING OUT HER SLIDES!!! That means you have to attend each lecture, and one single deviation during the 3 hours lecture could means some marks are lost in the midterms. And the textbook is needed even she said optional.
By far the best prof I have had. She does not post her slides so attendance is mandatory but lectures are very engaging. She goes over everything necessary for every assessment so as long as you attend class you should have no trouble. Exams were easily manageable by studying notes. Would absolutely recommend for credit or elective!!
She's just the best. Literally all you have to do is show up to class and note everything on her powerpoint as well as what she says. She'll say the important stuff slowly so that you can take note. You don't even have to read the textbook since her lectures tell you everything. Don't get on her bad side though, she doesn't hold back. luv her :)
Professor Gordon is really dynamic with her teaching and gives tons of examples,if you show up to class and study you'll do well, but if u miss one you're done. The only complaint I have is she will say something once and it will be on the midterm\ exam so make sure to follow lectures and write everything down, she doesn't post complete slides.
If you don't go to a lecture, or half of the lecture, or 10 minutes of the lecture, you're done for. The lectures are interesting, and give lots of examples. The textbook is also necessary. If you don't believe me, a midterm question was ' True or False: 2 Boeing 727s crashed into each other"- girl that is NOT in the textbook :D
Don't take this class as an elective. If you miss one class, good luck lol. She doesn't post any slides and the exams were a bit rough.
Literally so amazing, her lectures are entertaining and the material is easy to understand. Though she stands on business so don't piss her off cause she will call you out.
Lectures are engaging and interesting. The content is straightforward so studying is pretty easy. As long as you attend class and take notes you're guaranteed a good grade.
Standout! Great prof. This is one class in which attendance matters- what's talked about in lec is often beyond the textbook- but if you show up and do the work, good grades are very achievable. Her multiple choice questions are worded very purposefully so be aware (and try to study for understanding, not just memorization)
Very good prof, you MUST attend lectures and take good notes to succeed. Notes are not posted by prof, she makes this clear first day of class. Very engaging, I had her for a 7-10 class and she kept everyone awake. Often asks questions or for opinion, overall loved her. 10/10 recommend
My favourite prof by far, attendance is absolutely mandatory as the slides online are only a fraction of what she will discuss in class. Take notes on everything because it will almost all be on the exams. She speaks clearly and in a way that makes it engaging & loves class discussions. Loved her class so much that I took another one with her.
I loved this class to the point I was excited to go to each lecture. The way material was presented felt super engaging with, her lecture style, discussions, polls and videos throughout each class. Exams were MC and written answer. You definitely have to study and know the content in a lot of detail to do well, but class itself made it worth it.
My best prof! She is very engaging when she teaches and her tests are lecture-heavy! SO show up, take notes, and you will do well. I only had to use the textbook for a couple of things, most of her content is covered in class. Would highly recommend!
She is a great prof, her lectures are very interesting however you must attend each class and pay attention and take good notes because her tests are strictly based on what she says in class and the slides that are available online are empty so you need to pay attention, she doesn't give extra points.
Great prof and her lectures are very engaging. Definitely get the textbook though because sometimes you'll be responsible for getting certain info from it. Attendance is not mandatory, but her exams are HEAVILY based on the lectures and everything she talks about in class so you have to show up to do well :)
Gordon is super passionate and has amazing/engaging lectures. Attendance is not mandatory but her midterms and exam are basically all based on lectures. She doesn't post her slides so you have to attend lectures in order to get the notes. If you study a good amount, you will definitely do well.
She ultimately skims over essential theories while failing to adequately explain them; instead she uses examples which doesn't do much when paired with vague explanations. Then the exams come and she expects you to know something that wasn't expanded on in the slightest, which is what makes it a tough course. Look at uoGrades - the stats are bad.
She's annoying and does not post slides. You would think she's getting paid if everyone comes. Not accessible at all
The best prof i've had so far. She is lecture heavy but she takes time to engage the class and actually teaches instead of just reading off slides. Exams are fair game if you show up to class and watch assigned videos.
I do not like this teacher and she says her exams are fair but they are really not. I lost marks on my midterm because she had tricky questions and she does not post anything at all and on her syllabus she says she will not give slides or notes under any circumtances. She is rudeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I do not like her and I am doing well in her class
The professor is very passionate about her major and teaching. The only problem is that she never uses any complete PPTs. A lot of reading and memorizing of minor details might be a bit challenging for students from other majors, as you have to spend a lot of time reviewing. Reading ahead of class is essential. Choose this course carefully.
Carolyn has little real world experience applicable to this course. All lectures were read directly from her notes/few original ideas compared to other profs. WEAK when it comes to exam expectations, only outlines question values, not topics. Disagrees with facts from texts. Don't take the night course, she will blame you for low motivation/grades.
The most amazing professor I have ever had. You definitely need to attend lecture to do well in the course. However, she is so captivating and interesting that I never wanted to miss a lecture.
She is insufficient at time management and yaps over 30 minutes in every lecture. I feel like I learned 1/3 of what I learned usually in other classes. The exam is pretty much a gamble because she dosen't post her midterm framework until the day before. In general, disrespectful towards night class as other review says, not recommended
Professor Gordon is one of my favourite profs! I had her fall and winter sem and really enjoyed her lectures! She doesn't post content so you have to go to class. She's very passionate and engaging. If you don't do good in her class you probably aren't studying or paying attention in class because theres not much room for error.
Overall, this course is super interesting and the material is actually revenant IRL; however, it is lecture heavy and slides are not posted so it requires a lot of time and effort. Exams are pretty much all based on lecture content. Prof seems passionate about her job, but gives off very condescending vibes and she can be very rude.
Prof Gordon is an AMAZING teacher. All of her lectures are so interesting. Make sure to go to class as she does not post her notes. The exams were very easy if you studied your notes. They say to buy the book, but most time it was not needed. (Occasionally, we would have to read a passage if she did not have enough time in class)
don't buy the textbook, she tells you that you need it but she only tests on things that were covered in the lectures its just supplemental. They were 3 hour lectures but most of them didn't feel incredibly long since she's very engaging and breaks up the material well. The exam was really long but it was also very fair.
Listen, Prof. Gordon is as nice as they come, as long as you reciprocate. Her lectures are pretty plain (i.e. reading from pre-written notes), but overall okay to sit through once a week. Unfortunately she is a chronic yapper and may get off track, thus ending the course without covering all materials. Her exams are extremely fair, never crazy!
shes super good i love her
YOU MUST GO TO CLASS!!!,YOU WILL NOT DO GOOD IF YOU DO NOT GO. However, she was the best prof i have ever had, great lectures and i will be looking for her name in the future class searches,
Prof Gordon is legit every bit as good as her reputation says. Fascinating lectures, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly cares about her students' wellbeing. Low tolerance for questions that are, for lack of a better phrase, dumb, but still maintains professionalism and respect when responding. Do the readings and you'll have very few questions.
Genuinely the bets prof of all time, if you attend class and write down everything she says you will be set. Her way of teaching is very engaging and makes you want to attend class. Super easy light readings that are so interesting. Amazing prof, will tell you exactly what to study and what you need to know.
Best class everrr
sometimes overwhelming, but the only engaging professor.
TAKE HER CLASS. if you are first or second year because thats what she teaches, pullthe trigger and take the class, you will not be disapointed. she is easily one of the best profs at uOttawa. She is so enaging, and she teaches in a way that makes it so easy to undertsand everything. . Her exams are exactly what she teaches in class, she is amazing
She is such a gem. Seriously, please take her course if you can. You do need to put in the work and you *must* attend lectures if you want to succeed, but she is such a sweetheart and an amazing prof.
