Excellent instructor, kind of quirky, clear lectures & notes. Very patient with students, will bend over backward to help with any questions about the material. All homework due on test days (in case you slack), on average one quiz per week on mymathlab. Highly recommend.

At first I HATED math with a burning passion, but Miss Luna makes math look so simple and easy to understand just the way it should be! She's sweet and very understanding :) The textbook is rarely used, but you do need a MymathLab for this class. I Would take her again if I Could!

She is extremely patient and sees to it that everyone can fully comprehend the material. Take her class and you will not be disappointed.

Had been away from math and afraid of math prior to taking Mrs. Luna. If you do not like math or afraid of it take HER. She wants her students to succeed IF you do your part she will help you learn!! No longer afraid because of her teaching and my effort. OUTSTANDING INSTRUCTOR!!!!

I don't like math, but she made it easy. She's replies quickly to emails. She even offered tutoring before our final exam. Best professor at UTSA! You won't regret taking her.

I LOVE LUNA. This was by far my favorite class this semester. She is great. You do have to put in effort to pass though. She is very clear and makes sure you understand everything before moving on. TAKE HER CLASS.

Love professor Luna she was one of my favorite professors. She makes sure that everyone is understanding what she is teaching and goes slow enough to understand. Also takes the time to answer any questions even if they are a question she had just answered.

Took her for Intro to Math. Class was a watered down statistics that emphasized on real world issues/situation. TAKE HER AND/OR THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE NOT GOOD AT MATH! You will have to use MyMathLab for homework--cost $50-70 at the start of the semester. Great professor and person!

She is such a sweetheart :). She's kind and is extremely patient. She gives study guides before exams and is available for any questions. She is very sympathetic and encouraging. She was a highlight for my semester last Spring - if you've had trouble with math--- take her. She makes it less intimidating,- & is actually encouraging.

Luna is a super sweet woman who cares about her students. Overall she makes the course super easy giving out reviews for each test, offering lots of extra credit, and help. Going to class is not required if you stay on top of course material. Weekly homework on mathlab but it is simple and doesn't take long.

PIVOT Program is difficult, that's why I rated it as more difficult. However, Mrs. Luna cares. If you reach out to her during office hours, she will take the time to address your needs. Be honest with her and she will help you. PIVOT may suck, but I am glad I got her as a professor. PIVOT is new and it gets less crappy as the semester goes on

Attendance isn't mandatory. in class we work on packet activities, then on tests days she checks that you participated on the packets throughout previous weeks and grades it. tests are insanely easy. super simple math, she teaches it fine. mostly tho, the class is very easy and she is very personable and high energy.

I really hated math all through high school, Mrs. Luna was so caring and really wants you to succeed. As long as you keep up with the guided notes and go to the math lab every week, there is no reason you shouldn't get an A.

Professor Luna is a really nice lady, she really cares about student's grades. She is very helpful during office hours too.

I had always dreaded taking math courses until I took this class. Professor Luna is super nice and explains the concepts well. Much of the grading is based upon tests, but there are also periodic notebook checks which can boost your grade as well as straightforward online modules. Attendance usually isn't mandatory, but it helps you to succeed.

Super sweet and very helpful with accommodating your needs. Can get a little bit off topic but she doesnt mess around and gets straight to the point with math.

She was the best professor I have ever had. She cared about all of the students and brightened up my morning every day! She was great, but the class was based on Math Matters and it was awful and hard. There is an extreme amount of homework and quizzes, required way too much time at home, and the tests were nothing like what we learned in class.

Mrs. Luna is something else really. She explains things great and is very helpful, but she doesn't have a specific order so we mostly jump from one topic to the other. Other than that, she's very caring and really wants her students to participate and work together in problem solving. Group work is a pain, but all algebra classes in utsa have it.

She is a very caring professor and good at explaining. She is also very lighthearted and open to comments and participation. My only complaint is that she sometimes takes a good portion answering many (easy) questions (since she is so kind) that she doesn't finish the end of her lesson where the more difficult mathematics is. TAKE HER!

Shes very nice and caring. Her lectures are kind of boring, but shes a great professor. All her lectures are on powerpoints and she has group activities every class day. They dont count, theyre just for extra help. She gives extra credit opportunity so take it. All your homework, quizzes, and test are online at the Math Center.

honestly i struggled all semester , the teacher was so sweet though offered many extra credit opportunities , seeing her during her office hours as well. Course isn't that difficult but has a lot of work that will take up majority of your time which i didn't have.

This class has a lot of homework and unnecessary things that you have to do to get an A in the class. Before signing up for this class make sure you have time set aside to waste for this class.

Luna is amazing, she wants you to pass and is always willing to help. The courseload is a lot, but it seems to be that way regardless of the professor. She responds to emails and is available in office hours right before class. She's also very optimistic, helps to keep lectures understandable and entertaining.

I was in her 10 A Quantitive Reasoning class. I had a great experience in this class. MAke sure to do put aside time to do the LearnSmarts outside of class. The lectures were interesting. Every day in class we would cover a new section in the textbook that correlated with the learn smart sections we were on. The most useful math class I've taken.

The workload for this class is very heavy, but the curriculum is the same across all 1053/1073 classes. Professor Luna is so caring and she is great at teaching as long as youre able to apply yourself. Im so bad at math and i learned sm from this class

Professor Luna is one of the best professors for this class! She is so sweet and caring and will do anything for you to pass as long as you put in the effort. The effort is a big impact on your grade.

If you're bad at math and will put in a real effort to pass, take her. The math courses at UTSA in general just require a ton of participation. Professor Luna is always available outside of class and really wants you to succeed. Helped me bring my average up to a C when I was on the verge of failing.

You work for your grade, the workload each week is decent, need to attend 2 hours of class each week which is doable. She even gives a lot of options of what meetings you want to attend. Mondays are always closed so you can look at the module and do the easy part of pre notes/pre class notes. WILL HAVE GROUP PROJECTS AND TESTS. Work for your A.

Awesome teacher, she can get off track but she does know what she is doing and really shows that she is there for your success.

Professor Luna is really nice, and willing to help you if you need her. She also explains a lot of the concepts in a way that's easier to understand. Textbooks are provided for you, and you need to attend 2 hours a week. There's homework, but you could get it all done in a few hours. Not hard if you're good with algebra, but if you need help ask!!

Professor Luna is an awesome Professor, and is very clear in lectures! She is easily available outside of class time (within her office hours of course) and answers questions thoroughly! I'm not the best at math, but she helps make it easy to understand and comprehend. Group work with individual submissions was also highly encouraged.

Professor Luna is very sweet and truly cares about her students. Most of the stuff we covered was stuff learned in high school and doesn't take a lot of critical thinking in my opinion. Just make sure you do your weekly homework and lightly study for the exams and you should get an A. You can either attend class in person or online, which I liked.

Luna is nice and understanding, but not a great professor. She doesn't teach you all the information, but she does give all the materials to help you learn it. You will have two easy assignments due Friday at midnight, and a harder homework due Sunday at midnight. You can retake your tests for up to a 100, twice. Overall its pretty easy to pass.

Professor Luna was very caring and really easy to talk to and reach outside of class. If you had a question you could literally sit there and ask until you understood. She is always there to answer and very approachable.

She really cares about her students and if you work with her you will pass.

Anyone that has anything bad to say, did not try at all in this class. There is not a single assignment or test in this course that you can't retake for full credit. On top of that Professor Luna is the nicest person ever. Such an easy A, if you have the option to take this professor do it! I really wish she taught calculus too.

Professor Luna was beyond amazing. Shes very friendly, caring, and knew me by name despite being a large class. She is understanding, friendly, energetic, and will do everything in her power to make sure you pass her class. Module exams are retry-able for full credit and shell do any problem with you. Group projects are easy and graded non-harsh.

Prof Luna genuinely cares about her students. You can literally retake any test, and resubmit homework, notes, TryIts, or projects. You do need to put in the effort as some of the concepts are quite challenging, but if you don't do well it's because you didn't try. She is always available to reach for help & responds to emails quickly! Sweet woman!

Shes super funny and a great teacher! She takes her time to make sure everyone understands tough concepts. Shes a great professor and i would 10/10 take her class for harder subjects.

Honestly a great overall professor, despite taking her class at 8am, she would always explains topics super well and would go over many practice problems to make sure everyone understood. She was a bit unorganized at times but would make up for it by extending due dates. Would 100% retake her class if I could.

She is a very kind professor who cares for her students and isn't too harsh of a grader with some partial credit on exams. There is a lot of homework but as long as you don't let it pile up the class isn't too hard.

Teacher is fantastic and makes math concepts easier to understand. Not too much homework and homework is useful for tests. No attendance grades, but probably show up to 90% of classes or you will be stuck behind. Definitely take this professor if you have the chance.

Professor Luna is great for anyone that struggles at math. Her homework's and test are easy as long as you go to lecture. She answers emails in a timey manner and is always willing to help. 10/10 would take again for other math courses.

I am so happy I had this class with Luna. She's so funny and cared about everyone in the class. You have 4 exams; take them seriously! Even if you bomb one you can make up the grade for half credit. There's some random chances to get extra credit throughout the semester. It's really easy to fall behind in this class, so stay on top of all the HW!

I love Professor Luna!! she was very caring and helpful. I didnt understand math at first but the way she teaches & make sure everyone in the class understands the topic before she moves on is amazing. would 100% recommend her to everyone. the course itself wasnt hard either & we had hw assignments that we did in class together so it was a free 100

Professor Luna is SO SWEET! She helps you if you're confused and is very good at explaining concepts. She's patient, kind, and overall amazing. She only counted attendance on Fridays, but I rarely skipped Mondays and Wednesdays unless I had to because the class environment is chill, welcoming, and doesn't treat anyone badly for being confused.

She's very friendly and quick to respond to emails. The class moves fast, so if you don't learn quickly, it can be tough to keep up. There are about two homework assignments per week and exams with 5–10 problems. Attendance isn't required, but showing up definitely helps.
