amazing teacher, lots of fun

Show up for class and you will more likely than not get a good grade. She is a very good speaker and makes HIST150 a decent class.
Very entergetic!
I've had her twice and she's one of the best professors I've ever had. Energetic and entertaining, she makes you feel like a person even in the lecture classes, not just a number. She is comfortable in front of the class and is easy to listen to.
Very entertaining and excited about what she does. Is more than willing to answer questions and help students, keeps the class interested. Approachable and has a good understanding of the material. Highly recommended!
Dr. Malone is an awsome teacher. She is one of the best I have had. She requires a lot of reading but it is all worth while. This is the first class where I have read all of the assigned material. She rewards students that participate and do the reading assignments.
i am awful at history but she makes it interesting and easy to undersatnd! she is also very helpful and makes the class fun with all her pictures and cheesy jokes!
Occasionally boring, but interesting for a history class. She has good stories and anecdotes- you have to take really good notes and study hard for the tests if you want an A.
Very good personality! I am really not into history, but I could always pay attention and find it interesting in her class. Tests are alright. Take good notes in class and study and you will do fine.
Very excited about History. Exams are tough, make sure you go and take notes.
From New York, talks fast. Sometimes gets so interested in the history she forgets she's teaching & seems like an elevated student. Makes history fun & exciting. Totally cool. Loves to learn along w/ the class

Dr. Malone is the coolest history teacher I've ever had!
She is a good teacher. She does talk very quickly, but she has an awesome accent! Her tests are alright, but you do have to go to class and pay attention. I would recommend her over the other history professors at BSU.
One of the best classes I've taken. She truly enjoys the subject matter and helps you learn it.
Very excited and passionate about what she teaches. If you are going to take Hist 150, request Dr. Malone. Test are pretty easy-just show up to class and listen. She uses pictures to help reinforce her material. This helps me, a visual learner, remember things much easier.
great course. get her if possible!
Great professor! As many have already stated, she's really into what she teaches and makes learning about history a whole lot of fun, even early in the morning when I took the class! She really connects with the students even in a big lecture class. If you pay attention in class and take good notes, you'll do fine on the tests.
I love her! She is the best teacher ever!
Very very good teachers..One of my favorite so far at BSU. Take notes and you don't really even need to read the book. I don't care for History and I liked this class.
Wheather you love or hate history, try to get in w/ Dr. Malone. She's hilariously energetic, informative, and clear. Go to class, take the notes, & know the terms on the study guide. She also provides a few extra credit assignments if you're in a bind. Buying the book is not required.
Take notes and you'll be fine. Don't waste your money on the book, you dont need to read it.
I have had Dr. Malone for two classes and she is a fantastic teacher. She has passion for her subject, respect for students, and is a true educator. Whether you think you love or hate history makes no difference. Dr. Malone rocks!
STARIGHT UP G
Loved the class - first history class I've ever been able to stay awake in! Absolutely hilarious!
I fell in love with her when she gave an entire lecture on The Who. She's the best history teacher I've had at Ball State.
Dr. Malone is the one of the best professors at this University. Period. I had her for three different classes (HIS 452, 454, and 476). I learned more from her three classes than I did from everyone else combined. Do quality work and you will have no problem getting at least a B...if not higher. She also teaches 150, so you Freshman should get her.
Dr. Malone is the greatest teacher at Ball State. I would never want to miss a class. I know personally I always want to buy the book for every class but NOT NEEDED for this class. Take the notes and you WILL be fine.
I absolutely loved this class. it was by far the best history class i have ever taken, and im not one of those smart kids that loves history but malone is funny, witty, and all around an amazing prof. attendance was not required but I actually wanted to go to her class i would skip every class except for history somedays. Try hard to get her.
Dr. Malone does a good job keeping up her enthusiastic approach to History. She delves deeper into History subjects well. Malone is extremely knowledgeable and certainly cares about the subjects. The tests can be a little tricky and the material is generally from the notes.
Very fair in the way she teaches her class. Whatever you put into this class is what you are going to get out of it. She does keep class interesting and knows when she needs to spice things up. You can also go to her office any time you need help. Just go to class, pay attention, and take notes and you will do fine in her class.
Quite possibly the best teacher I've ever had. Come to class, take notes, review your notes, take test, get an A. The classes are VERY entertaining, I couldnt have asked for a better way to learn history. She also seems to be obsessed with the band, "The Who". Attendance not mandatory, but 95% of test Q's are from class notes.
She is the best history teacher I have ever had. She makes it so interesting and she has such a passion for teaching. Recommend her for anyone!!
A great teacher! She makes history interesting and fun. If you go to class and pay attention the tests will be easy for you. She is hilarious! Tests are pretty easy for the most part, just go over your notes a few times.
I hate history, but Malone makes History almost fun! She is very into everything she talks about & is very humorous! You don't need the text book at all so DO NOT BUY IT. It will be a waste of money! Also, study the study guides and go to class and you'll get an A on the test!
She is a very good instructor. I'm not overly interested in the topics she chooses to cover, but I still enjoy her lectures. The tests are pretty easy if you don't miss many classes, but are if you do miss a lot.
she is a really good teacher. She makes history interesting and has a cheesy sense of humor. To get an A just go to class and take good notes. Don't buy the book, it will be a waste of your money.
She was an exciting teacher and her class was very easy.
WONDERFUL!!
Very fun teacher. Made the topics interesting.
Good professor, makes class interesting, while still challenging in some aspects.
Dr. malone is a great professor. Go to class half of the time and you will still do well. Take
She is by far the best teacher I had in my freshman year. She made everything plain and easy 2 understand and she'd even add a lil corny humor at least once a day. Her tests are way easier than you'd expect. Just pay attention and take notes everyday and you will get an A. She uses 3 books. The big textbook is only for tests others 4 small asgnmts
Excellent teacher. Explains history like it was her crazy weekend out on the town. Very interesting class and if you attend, you'll learn a lot and be interested in what comes next. Complete study guides and you'll ace the tests! Do extra credit. Got a 97%, loved her
The best doctor that ever taught history.
Dr. Malone makes HIST 150 so much more interesting and you will be engaged the whole time. She doesn?t make you memorize dates, which is the best part. Just pay attention and take notes in her class and you will pass with flying colors. I definitely recommend her for HIST 150, you will not be disappointed.
Dr. Malone is the best teacher I've had. Just make sure you go to class and take notes and you'll get an easy B on the test, but usually higher. She makes a lo of jokes and is very entertaining. And don't buy the book, it's useless. Everything is from notes.
Loved her and loved the class! It was the only class I was upset to miss. She made history enjoyable, understandable, and did so in an easy and manageable manner. All you have to do is attend class, pay attention/take notes, review study guide = A. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK, I never touched it and barely missed an A-.
She was a fantastic teacher. She took a usually boring topic and made it entertaining. You will not be disappointed when taking her class. I loved it!
Malone is great! She wants you to read the book, but she covers everything in class! She does not take attendance, but she will make anybody want to go to History class! She is the best! Get her if at all possible! You will not be disappointed!
She is amazing! Never a dull day in this class. She's very helpful and has a consitent way of teaching that is easy to take notes. Her tests are only 50 questions so its best to study, but if you attend class and take notes off her outline you should do great. Books are only necessary for a few test questions and some extra credit assignments.
This was my favorite class of the semester. She is a good professor and gives nice outlines of the notes for you to copy down. She speaks loud and clear and isn't boring or dull. She does assign some textbook reading but it is covered in class. Overall, a great professor and a great class.
She is probably my favorite professor this semester. I didn't study for the first test, just went to every lecture and took notes/paid attention, and got an A on the first test. She's got this awesome New York accent and she's just very excitable and you can tell loves what she's talking about. Get her if you can!
Very easy class. Simplistic notes that make studying easy, if you even have to. If you need to go over things, she will gladly do it. She is very energetic and happy to do what she is doing. Great teacher. I personally hate history, but love her class.
My favorite class this semester! Malone makes history seem like the most interesting topic ever. As long as you take notes in class and pay attention you will pass no problem. Her exams consist of 50 mult. choice questions, which are identical from the notes. She also has study sessions to help if you don't understand. Take this class if you can!
Best professor ever. Makes the topic exciting and make you want to be in class! If you can get her, take her!
This was my favorite class this semester, namely because of Dr. Malone. She made the topics interesting and taught them in ways that I hadn't heard before. If I had the chance to take another class taught by Dr. Malone, I would take it without hesitation.
So funny, great professor, made the class fun. While she didn't take attendance, i found myself wanting to go to class anyway. Such a nice lady. Got a B+ because i never read the book. Most of the test is lecture notes
She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is very passionate and makes the class fun and interesting. I didn't read the textbook at all, however, you MUST read the poem and Night book to do well on the exams.
Excellent instructor, makes content seem interesting. Does not require students to memorize dates. Grades tests fast.
FANTASTIC TEACHER!!
Best history teacher I have ever had!!
She is awesome! I loved going to class and I learned more history in that class than I have all my life. She is exciting in class and great at lecturing and she will get you excited about the information and wanting to know more than what is required for the tests. Exams are not hard because you remember most of the stuff she talks about in class.
Great notes and very friendly. Helpful if you ever needed to talk outside of class. I have always hated history because it is so boring but this class was really nice and entertaining because of her energy and information. I'd take her class again
I hadn't taken French in 3 years so I knew this would be tough but it was murder. We were a chapter and a half ahead of all the other 201 classes. We speak French for the majority of the class and do no memorization or helpful things to learn a language. It is as if she doesn't understand that everyone is at a different level. The sub was nice.
She is very detail oriented, and she words her test in an odd way. You almost have to pay attention to every single thing or you won't do well. And she is hard to focus on in lectures! I'm a strong student and cannot get through this class without a C. Pick someone else if you get a chance.
really good teacher. makes a boring class almost entertaining and shes really funny. entire grade is based on tests but i suggest showing up or having a friend that takes really good notes because test questions are tricky. MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND THE STUDY SESSIONS THE NIGHT BEFORE THE TEST and you'll get at least a B
She is a great professor and is always willing to help you. If you go to class, take notes and study for the test you will do very well. She is so funny and gets so excited about History. By far the best History teacher I've had.
She is a hilarious professor and keeps class entertaining! Her exams are straight from the notes so be sure to go to class or get notes from someone who did. The only down side is your grade comes only from exams and some extra credit assignments. So be sure to study and go to study sessions. Over all great professor though!
She was so enthusiastic! It just made me want to show up. The book is barely used at all because she explains things throughly in class. If you show up its the easiest A. She'll even give away test question answers in class!
One of the best. Take her just for your enjoyment. You want to attend her class. She wants you to learn and is so excited about what she teaches. She is so wonderful! Highly recommend her!
Very passionate about what she teaches, funny and easy to follow.
Great professor, funny and easy to follow, wants you to succeed in her class by giving test questions, study guides, and study sessions right before tests. If you go to class and takes notes will get at least a B. Have to put in a little more more for anything higher. Overall great teacher
She is the best professor I've had so far! She teaches interesting subjects that you don't normally learn in history classes. She's passionate and hilarious. Also, the class is very easy. I never read the book and got an A. Just attend lectures. You will want to anyways because it's a fun class.
I love Malone! She is one of my favorite professors I have had at Ball State. She really cares about the material and whether the students understand it. As long as you show up to class and pay attention, you will get a good grade.
Great Professor. Great Class. Take Notes. Pay Attention. You'll Pass.
TAKE HER.
Very funny teacher. My favorite this semester. Gives extra credit and loves students to go to office hours. Has two TAs that give review sessions day before her exams that are very helpful. Didn't read the book much, only when indicated on study guides.
She is always willing to help and explain why something was wrong or right. She loves what she does. I do not like history classes but she made this one worth going to.
Go to class, pay attention, go to the review sessions, easy class to get a good grade in. Lectures are entertaining. You need the book for some test questions, she puts a couple of copies on reserve in the library so that is an option if you don't wanna buy.
The tests are hard, BUT she is a great teacher! I highly suggest taking her
Great professor! Go to class, take notes, go to study sessions, easy A. Don't do any of that and you won't pass. Super laid back, and makes history actually interesting! Would recommend to anyone!
She has a different approach to teaching history. She focuses on what actually went on versus memorizing dates and names. She's so helpful and wants everyone to do well. There's a study guide provide before each test telling you EXACTLY what will be on the test. She loves history and is very excited about it; you won't fall asleep in class.
Go to class, take notes on everything she says. The tests are easy if you pay attention and take good notes! I absolutely hate history but she made me love it! I really enjoy this class a lot. I have an A in the class and I haven't done any extra credit assignments. Goes to show that her tests are easy if you take good notes!
The class is super easy. If you go to class, study the notes you take, you will pass with an A.
I would Highly recommend her class!! By far one of my favorite professors ever! Very Enthusiastic! Grade is solely based on five test and extra credit (10 points) if she gives it. Also gives helpful handouts. Gives study guide and offers study sessions. Test are MC on a scantron. Take her class MWF. She gives test hints on fridays. I adore her!
Malone was such an awesome teacher! I do not learning about history whatsoever so she made the lectures really interesting. She gave extra credit twice which was 10 easy points. There was no assignments just four exams. The exams were pretty hard but as long as you go to lectures, read the textbook, and study, then you'll be fine.
Dr. Malone is the best thing that will ever happen to you. If you are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take her class, DO IT. She is a professor that loves her job and loves her students, along with Roger from The Who! I can not encourage fellow students to take her class enough!
Dr. Malone is such a fun and energetic teacher. She is really passionate about her students and loves to have great in class discussions. She goes out of her way to provide materials that help you understand the themes. Also gives plenty of extra credit opportunities that are very useful to maintain your grade if you're not great at writing papers
The best professor I have had by far! Dr. Malone was extremely helpful and her tests are exactly like the Reviews and notes we go over. Strongly Recommend her!
I LOVE Dr. Malone! She's a bit awkward, but really tries to get students interested in the class. The are 5 tests (final isn't cumulative) and two short extra credit papers. If you go to class, take good notes, and fill out the study guide she gives before each test you will get a good grade.
This professor changed my life! I loved the way she taught her class. I have ADHD and it's so easy to follow each lecture because everything she says is interesting. I think it's because she is very passionate about history. If every teacher was like this the world would be a better place!
I never really liked history, but I enjoyed this class! Everyone I know that had another teacher hated their history classes and said there lectures were super long and boring. She gives you a study guide for every test and if you study it you will do just fine. You need to come to class though or you'll miss key points on the tests.
Show up to class take good notes and you will be ok
She is an amazing professor. Holds study sessions before tests. Tough Grader. There to help if needed. If you want to pass the class, come to class!
Dr. Malone is amazing. She is passionate about the material and it makes the class more enjoyable. If you ask something that she does not know she will research it to help you out. She obviously loves her job, her students and history!!
She was so awesome! She had corny jokes that weren't actually funny but it kept the class light and easy to follow. You'll probably get a B without reading, and an A if you read. Definitely go to her office hours.
Dr. Malone was incredibly lively and interesting to listen to. For this course, she give five, fifty multiple choice question, exams including the final (non-cumulative) as well as two extra credit opportunities that are incredibly easy, that's it. She does not take attendance, but being present is incredibly important to passing the class.
Dr. Malone is one of the best professors that I've had since being here at Ball State. Her class is very fun and she makes it super interesting. She is an easy person to talk to if you have any questions . In this class you have two papers(only 5-6 pages long), a midterm, final and about 5 quizzes.
She has interesting lecture and I enjoyed her class a lot. She is from Jersey so her accent made her easier to pay attention to. She is very into what she talks about and makes the class go smoothly. I enjoyed her class and hardly opened the book. If you struggle at all though read the chapters and attend her study sessions. Great woman and fun.
Yes. Just Yes. She's great! Such a great, engaging professor. She seriously has all the respect in the world from me. An amazing human being as well.
Even though the class is fairly easy if you attend, I personally did not like her because she reminds me of a kindergarten teacher. She is uncomfortable talking about sex and that annoys me. She has a cool accent though.
This professor was amazing. I have struggled with History in the past, and have not scored below a B on an exam at all this semester. She makes it a point to speak with students, and appreciates it when you ask questions. She does give extra credit, and her study sessions/ guides are lifesavers
Dr. Malone was a great professor. She was very enthusiastic about her material and made history interesting. You must go to class to pass. Everything you need to know is from the lectures. If you go to class and do the study guides you will do well.
Good professor but the class is based only on tests. If you are not a good test taker I do not recommend. There are a few extra credit opportunities but that is it.
Very sweet instructor and cares about her students. HOWEVER.... this class is completely test based and an A is practically impossible because an A in there is a 92.. You only have two small extra credit assignments. If you go to class and do pretty good on the test, an A- is possible.
Wow! If I could have her as my professor for every class, I would. I've never been good at history, but after taking her class, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on the subject. One of the best teachers I have ever had.
I was fully expecting a boring history class. I was so wrong. She's a wonderful teacher, loves her work and deeply cares. Her excitement for the material is infectious and engaging. I'm sad about the semester coming and already looking into her other classes. If you're present to take notes, the material and tests are straight forward & manageable.
While Malone is super nice and funny, I hate that this class was so test heavy. Also, study guides only cover maybe 60% of the material you need to know for tests. Tests are difficult if you don't study for numerous hours.
Dr. Malone is SO passionate and enthusiastic about history. She genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed. There are 5 exams, and 2 extra credit opportunities, no assignments. You do not need to read the textbook except for the pages that she tells you to look over on each study guide. It is important to take good lecture notes.
I absolutely adore Dr. Malone! Her HIST 452 class was so informational and interesting. She has cute jokes and keeps you intrigued. She gives tests, but with a study guide beforehand. A couple of essay's which are simple. She gives homework sometimes, which is also simple. Extra credit available, too! 100% recommend.
Dr. Malone is hilarious and very passionate about her area of concentration. As long as you at least skim the readings, understand the pictures she gives you, and write comprehensively, you will breeze through her class. Also, she makes *very* good trifle. Take a class with her and you will never be bored.
Def the best history teacher from ballstate
Dr. Malone is AWESOME! She gives amazing lectures and isn't usually a super tough grader. There are only two papers, two tests, and six take-home quizzes for the class, but there is a ton of reading. She is always willing to talk outside of class, though. I can't wait to take another of her classes next semester!
Textbook barely used and she tells you what pages to read. Use the one in the library if you really want to. She's a good professor, lectures are fun and she is so caring. She gets personal with a large class in a genuine way. Makes material easy to understand.
I never used the book, but I attended every lecture. Gave test questions on Fridays. Only grades are tests and 2 optional papers. Very kind lady, cracks lots of jokes. Great personality, very passionate about history. Lets her TA's run review sessions, so I always skipped those. Tests are rough if you don't look over study guides. Very consistent.
Dr. Malone is one of the best core curriculum profs I've had. She understand you probably would rather do something else, so she makes the class fun and pretty easy. Only grades tests and optional extra credit. Gives test questions on Fridays. I've never read the book and currently have B-B+ in the class. Super nice and willing to help you.
I personally loved her lectures and she never failed to keep my attention. She is very sweet and caring. I would definitely recommend her, because she is one of the best history instructors I've ever had.
She clearly loves history, she likes to make puns. If you come to class and take notes you will pass.
I will never not recommend Dr. Malone. She gives the best lectures, is not a tough grader, and is always willing to help students who need it. This is the second class I've taken with her, and I'm signed up for another (and will be writing my thesis with her) in the fall. She is knowledgeable, kind, and just overall amazing. Take her classes!
Love love love, she was an awesome professor. Attendance isn't mandatory but she says stuff in lecture that will be on the tests so it's important to show up. You'll need the book but don't bother reading the full chapter, she puts the page numbers you need to read on the study guide.
Professor Malone was the best professor for History 150! She is very very friendly, she cares a lot about her students and is very engaging. She doesn't give boring lectures, she usually makes a few puns and has very fun energy that made me laugh and kept me engaged. I strongly recommend taking history with her, she is one of my favorite professors
Professor Malone is hands down one of my all-time favorite professors. She is incredibly passionate about history and she proves that in every lecture. While the criteria is lecture based, it is difficult to not enjoy her lectures. Her sense of humor is unique and she inspired me to minor in History. I hope to have her again.
Dr. Malone is very friendly and engaging and I loved having a professor that is very passionate about the subject they're teaching. However, most of her tests are based on information that she goes over only in lecture and isn't covered on the outlines she posts. She also uses photos from class lectures a lot on the tests so make sure to take note.
She is an amazing professor. She is funny and engaging and passionate about history. The tests are mostly lecture based and include extra content like poems or photos in the presentation. If you go to class and take notes, it is hard to not pass.
Go to class and take note and there no reason you shouldn't get a B or higher. Getting an A isn't that hard but you will have to work a little for it. Offers extra credit assignments (DO THEM!) they will boost your grade a lot, she is overall a great teacher that makes class interesting
She's a fine professor. She tries to be engaging, but it's just a lecture-heavy class. Take good notes, do ALL of the extra credit, and study for the tests and you should do well in the class!
Dr Malone's corny puns and passion for history really make this class entertaining. She's nice and caring, especially if you go to her office hours before an exam and ask for help. She offers two EC assignments that will boost your grade up, but the tests do require some work to study for. If you go to class and take good notes you should do well!!
Dr. Malone tries to be engaging, the class itself is just lecture-based. It is solely graded upon tests with two small extra credit opportunities. The tests require a good amount of studying to do well. However, she is nice and will help you if you need it. If I would've done both EC opportunities I would have gotten an A; it's not too difficult.
Professor Malone is a wonderful teacher. She is very enthusiastic about everything she teaches and you can tell she really cares. A student asked a question about something she didn't know and the very next class she came and gave him a printout that she researched just to answer his question. Using the book helps but you may be able to avoid it.
Malone is so fun to have in class, she always tries to make her lectures fun and intriguing for her students and gives lots of visual examples. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you skip class you will not do good on the exams. If you go and take notes, you'll pass easily.
Dr. Malone does a GREAT job at explaining information and making sure her students understand it. Attendance is not required, but if you don't show up, you will NOT pass. HIST 150 grades are strictly exams and the occasional extra credit which I recommend because there will be questions on the exams over the reading material in the extra credit.
I LOVE DR. MALONE! She is such an amazing teacher and she makes history more interesting and easy to learn. She is very passionate about teaching history and as long as you go to class and study for the tests you should do just fine. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs HIS150!
Professor was not willing to work with me regarding my grade. She showed a lack of caring. The only grades were 5 exams and a few extra credit assignments. Lectures are long and easy to fall asleep in but you have to go to get the information, nothing is posted on canvas except for textbook reading assignments and a study guide for each exam.
Dr. Malone is amazing! her lectures are very easy to understand and I never hated going to class. She explains the lesson very well. Only grades are tests and they are not super easy, but if you study & pay attention in class you'll get a good grade. She also does LOTS of extra credit!!
I love Dr. Malone! She tries her best to make lectures fun and obviously cares a lot about the subjects we discuss in class. An A is basically guaranteed if you pay attention, or even just read her PDFs. Take advantage of the extra credit!!
Dr. Malone was awesome. Her lectures were really fun to listen to and Dr. Malone's jokes are underrated. I love History as a subject and this class was pretty easy and enjoyable. Her tests are slightly challenging, but not a problem if you just study the study guide. This whole class is built on extra credit, which is helpful in boosting grade.
Dr. Malone does a very good job at making history interesting to learn about. She makes lectures engaging and fun to listen to. Some of the stuff she shows in class is stuff not in the textbook, and will appear on tests. If I had any complaint, I didn't like how our grade was largely dependent on four tests. Do the extra credit if you're nervous!
Dr. Malone is one of the best professors in the history department. Her lectures are very in-depth and she deeply cares about the material. She's a very easy grader and the class is very enjoyable.
I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Malone's class despite not being a huge fan of history. She worked very hard to make her lectures interesting and understandable. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a good HIST 150 course to take. My only complaint would be that she was not very responsive to my emails.
Professor Malone makes history as entertaining as it can get. She is fun to listen to because of her New York accent but she's easy to understand. She is very invested when you have a question she doesn't know the answer to. As long as you follow her note guide you will do well in the class.
She is such an amazing professor! I have never had a professor more in love with what they do where it is absolutely so apparent. It's absolutely adorable how much you can truly tell that she absolutely loves what she does. It's not a hard class, half the class doesn't even show up since attendance isn't mandatory. Lots of extra credit too :)
I only went to her class for a week and did the rest on my own time, the class is super easy and all the test answer are in her notes that she post canvas. Other than that shes super sweet! very goofy and loud.
I found that if you go to every class, listen, and take notes this class is super easy. She also gives out a ton of extra credit assignments which makes getting your grade up even easier. She is always so happy and excited to teach history it is really admirable. Loved having Professor Malone, definitely my favorite history teacher I've had.
I literally added a history minor because I loved this class and professor so much.
Dr. Malone's class was easy as long as you attend the lectures because they cover everything on the tests. I bought the book and never used it but other than that it was one of my favorite classes.
An absolute gem. Deserves all the love and respect in the world. Made learning history enjoyable. A whole queen.
She is an amazing teacher. You do not have to focus on memorizing specific dates, so I feel like you are able to absorb the actual information that is being taught. There are a lot of opportunities for extra credit and her tests stick to what is covered during lectures. There is a textbook for this class, but you could get by without it.
I loved Dr. Malone! An amazing history teacher who gives undivided attention to her students! Would also sometimes bring in baked goods to accompany lectures. Highly recommend taking one of her classes if possible!
Awesome professor. She teaches you a lot of what you cant even find online, so lectures/notes are crucial to have. Awesome information is given about things in history you didn't even know about. There wasn't much homework; only tests over each section. If you do not enjoy history, you should take her because she teaches in a way to where you will.
it was good
Malone is an amazing professor that shows her passion for women's history! I had an amazing time in her course and I felt that I received a better understanding of women throughout Modern European history. Make sure to read the course material, as they are critical to your essays and class room discussion! I would take this class again if I could!
If you attend the lectures this class is incredibly easy. I personally did not use my textbook, but some do. The class is based on 5 exams but she offers so much extra credit. Her lectures almost match the tests. I would absolutely take her again!
Dr. Malone is absolutely one of the best storytellers I've ever come across. She is very passionate about what she speaks over and is humble in regards to her knowledge of history. Very easy to talk to, my only complaint is the amount of content she goes over in class. If you miss one class, you're completely lost. Other than that, she's amazing.
Dr. Malone is one of the best teachers I have ever had in my life! She is deeply passionate about history and teaching, which shows in her incredible lectures. Those are the backbone of the class since that is 100% of test content, so you do need to attend them often. She also went above and beyond with my disability accommodations. Love her!
Attendance isn't necessary, but she gives word for word answers for the tests in class if you're there. All 3 of the textbooks are not necessary. You can find them all somewhere free if you need them. Extra credit is usually a weekly offering, which is super nice if you want to do the work for it. Overall, great prof.
Professor Malone is amazing. I, personally, do not like history, but she made it enjoyable and interesting. There is not a lot of homework in the class. It is mainly just test, but do not let that scare you because she provides several extra credits opportunities. If you just attend class regularly, you'll be fine. Great class!
She is very passionate and nice! I am not a big fan of history, but she made it so easy. She makes note outlines and you just fill in the blanks and she will make sure you have answers to the test questions. I missed a few classes, but luckily attendance wasn't taken. Fortunately, I was able to get notes from friends. Overall, I enjoyed her class.
She is great at answering questions to the best of her ability. She is passionate during her lectures so it doesn't get boring quickly.
Firstly, I am not a history person however Dr. Malone is an amazing teacher. You HAVE TO go to class, not for credit, but to get the information. She hints what will be on the exam during class also. No lectures or powerpoints are posted, just lecture outlines. She has extra credit at least for each exam unit. Overall, very easy and extremely nice.
Her class was extremely easy. She's just kind of a weirdo as a person. Lectures boring too. But I would take again. Find all her Exam answers on quizlet and you'll be fine.
Dr. Malone is a fantastic professor who you can tell deeply cares about British History and History overall. Her passion comes out in lectures and it makes you more involved as a student. Class was not that difficult either and I still learned a lot.
Attending her class is heavily advised because she doesn't post lecture notes so you must get your information from her lectures in person. She is very passionate, understanding, kind and funny. She will reiterate things so you know to write them or she will specifically tell you to write a fact down, that is if it isn't already on the PowerPoint.
This attendance for this class isn't taken but all of the information in presented in class and she doesn't post the notes at all. If you are a person who skips class regularly either have a friend in that class or be there for the study sessions. Do not buy the books. She posts the readings. Take advantage of the extra credit it's easy and useful.
She is a fantastic professor. She is very funny and makes a lot of jokes. She offers multiple extra credit opportunities. If I had to give advise it would be to show up to class. Every Friday and even sometimes during the week she offer test question tips. Her tests are 50 questions 2 points each. I would highly suggest.
Dr. Malone is amazing! Her class is lecture heavy but she does a great job at making them engaging. She also provides outlines for all of her lectures (for easy note taking) and her tests are open note as well.
Never went to class. The class consisted of exams and extra credit only. You can find answers online for exams.
She is very passionate about what she is teaching, and it makes it so easy to enjoy her class. I do not like history that much, but I was very interested in her class. Highly recommend!
Dr. Malone is one of the best professors that I've had! Despite being in a large lecture class, she attempts to get to know her students. She's very knowledge and passionate about history. Dr. Malone has a lot of puns, and they make her lectures amusing. If you are absent and send her an email, she is very accommodating. Lots of extra credit given!
The class is test-heavy, but she offers a lot of extra credit opportunities. There's also no homework that you have to do, and attendance isn't required.
Dr. Malone is great. I am NOT a history person, but I enjoyed going to class. She is really nice and funny. Doesn't focus on memorizing dates, just wants you to get the concepts. Grade based on 5 exams only, sounds scary but go to class, she will give you the answers, and do the extra-credit, they are also easy.
she's goofy i love her
I went to class the first couple weeks, but stopped going. She is very nice and actually converses with students rather than straight lecturing. Her exams are fairly easy and the class is sooo accessible online, which is why I stopped going. She offers a good amount of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. Highly reccommend her.
