I'm not great at Math or Chemistry, but Carolyn explains the subject really well. I didn't read a lot of the text, but learned more from her lecture notes. She is very helpful, provides detailed study guides and holds study groups before exams. She is extremely organized and you'll get your graded work back promptly. She's a go!

Carolyn is an excellent prof. You can tell that she really wants the students to learn the material- she wants to impart her knowledge to the students. She goes above and beyond as far as being accessible goes! She has great reviews for every exam! She is the best prof. I have ever had! Chem 1050 is easier with her if you have had 1020 with her!

Caralyn is a young cute teacher, she is extremely enthousiastic about chemistry, very curious about the hows and whys. she ACTUALLY knows how to teach!! unlike the majoirty of the teachers I've taken here at Normandale (no offense guys). very little outside work needed because she presents the material well in class. A must take. you rock caralyn!

Excellent Teacher. Everything you need to know is in the notes she provides online, but she does give out extra credit so if your in class its a plus. You'd want to be in class because she explains things perfectly and your never kept guessing.

She's straight out of grad school; so expect to hear her talk about it a lot. She tries to be funny. Easy class. Gives a lot of practice problem, practice exams, review sessions... the works. She's not good at time management in class but easy A... that's all that matters.

Her slides were all the information I needed combined with her lectures. Gets the point across well. Still very young, enthusiastic, pretty. She worked with me and took into consideration my effort. I would recommend her to anyone for any class.

Carolyn was my first teacher back into college A+ If she is your teacher do not expect the rest of normandale staff to be as nice as her. Has tons of review sessions for tests, very approachable, she cannot make it any more clear. If you take the time and learn, go to the reviews you WILL get an A. Damn the first day i walked in class and i was like wow is that a teacher or a student aid. She is hot and funny. She explains everything well and makes sure that you get it. I would recommend her to all the dudes mostly out there.. she engaged though.

AMAZING teacher. She's incredibly enthusiastic and fun! Notes are printed out for you so you can focus on learning versus writing. If you come to class, look over notes, and just generally take in the material- this class will be quite simple for you. Highly recommended.

Dr.Wanamaker is and has been a great teacher. She is fair and gives a student EVERY opportuninity in the world to succeed. I took her for Chem 1020 and Chem 1050 (summer).She also will come in on a day off to do a review class or two if students show up. One of if not the best instructors at NCC.

Carolyn gets distracted easily and off topic; however, I feel she teaches much more on a students level rather than a Dr. level. This class is challenging and requires a lot of studying in order to do well!

Every now and then you meet a teacher that sparks an interset in you for a subject you never thought you'd like. Carolyn is that teacher. She's so good that I was helping students in a 1062 class understand what their teacher was talking about. I feel prepared for what next! Epic win.

Carolyn is absolutely amazing. I took this class with her in summer and was terrified at the amount of information we were to go through, but she makes it easy for you IF you utilize all the tools she provides you with. Study her handouts and make sure you come to class a little prepared about lecture and you'll be just fine. She's hilarious too!

She gives notes that you can follow along with and are great for studying, no need to really even use a book. Give practice exams and study guides that are helpful for the exams. Chemistry is not a easy class you have to read through before the class so you can follow along during it. Can get a A but wont be given it

Carolyn is an EXCELLENT instructor. Provides notes, makes the material interesting, and gives time in class to go over problems. I took this course from her last semester and found her to be very funny and engaging (not annoying).

She makes chemistry fun you do have to apply yourself in the class and go to understand She makes everything very relate-able. If you need help she is there. If you don't understand chem take 1020 first you cannot just jump into this class without taking a college chem course. Don't always trust the SI either and don't google all the answers.

This is a hard subject, but Carolyn makes it easier to handle. She lays things out very clearly. You are given a packet that follows along with lecture that has fill in the blanks. Homework is very helpful and you see similar questions on your test. Lab is also laid out clearly, and a nice grade booster. One of the best professors I've ever had.

Professor Carolyn Wanamker is no longer at Normandale College. You'll find her at Concordia University in Saint Paul. Professor Wanamaker offers good notes, study guides, practice exams, and useful advice. Recommended, this was my first chem class in college and I kind blew it off, but if you study, you'll do well.

THE BEST science teacher I have ever had at Normandale! I had to work hard this semester, but she helps you to study by providing review materials and a practice final. She's chill during labs (and will help you), and she takes time to explain how something works if you don't get it. If you go to PASS you will get some extra credit on your exams!

She has awesome worksheets to fill out as you watch her lecture, she is willing to help students after class, the homework is interactive (and sometimes challenging), but if you do the work and practice you'll do great. Lowest 2 homeworks and 3 quizzes dropped. Extra credit on tests if go to PASS.

She legit walks you through how to do every little thing. And will help outside of class, and in the learning center. Labs always only take about an hour. She gives ex. credit for pass sessions

Very caring teacher. She knows about what she is teaching and will walk you through what you need to know. The notes come in a packet that you fill in during lecture. Labs are mandatory attendance. As long as you're in class and listening you should do fine. She also gives advice on Fridays, which is sweet.

Carolyn is a fantastic professor for this tough course. The first day of lecture I could tell I was going to enjoy her teaching style. She is one of the most helpful professors I have ever met - she goes out of her way to prepare you for exams and assignments, and she always gives opportunities for extra credit.

I have never been good at science and I took this same class in high school and failed and Im college I got a B I think thats all that needs to be said. She is the best teacher Ive ever had and really cares about her students!

She isn't always the most reachable, I also find that in class the notes and homework are easy, however the exams can be challenging, and there isn't enough time given to complete them. I felt rushed.

If you want to learn and understand at same time take her class. She made chemistry easy and she's also understands her student. She gives second chances . despite all the course went to online I was amazed how she handle. She was accessible every time. English is my second language but I could understand every thing in that class because of her.

Finished her class with an A. You'll pass all the tests with good grades if you watch her very short lectures on each chapter which is given a week to complete and to also take notes on them.

I absolutely loved having her as my Chem teacher. Just do the work and you should get a good grade. She cares about her students and wants you to succeed in her class. She also has a good sense of humor. I wish she could teach all of the Chem classes I need to take. You wont regret choosing her as your instructor.

I see that the Professor really cares a lot on how we learn and how we are doing in class by paying attention on our grades. Anytime she see that we are doing bad she reviews them over. Not only that, she is willing to review the lesson over before the quiz and exam which is very helpful a lot. She willing to give easy extra credit too which helps.

Wanamaker is probably as good as it gets for intro chem professors. Lectures are manageable. Each chapter doesn't have more than an hour of lectures involved. She gives you a workbook to take notes in and it is very helpful. Just pay attention, stay organized and you'll pass her class with no issue.

Carolyn is MAGICAL. There's a reason her classes fill up first. She makes chemistry so accessible and easy to understand, regularly follows up with students about their grades and any obstacles they may have. Genuine and caring. EXCELLENT communicator - regular weekly updates about expectations and assignments. TAKE HER FOR CHEM!

I took Intro to chemistry and it was an excellent class, There was a lab every week and as long as you showed up it was pretty easy to get done in time and she would gladly help me with any questions. she is very organized and all video's/lectures are easy to find and follow. I strongly recommend taking Wanamaker form Intro To Chem!

BEST CHEM professor. Very clear and organized on what needs to be done. Labs are easy; can work with others or by yourself. She walks you through the lab. Provides lots of study material. Exams are open note (but cannot use google or talk to others) but still be sure to study, you wont have time to finish if you keep flipping through notes.

Did amazing making a video for every concept, explaining labs, and even making a mind-blowing course manual that is essential to success in the course. Professor Carolyn is an amazing teacher! She does give you lots of homework but they're easy to do if you keep up with the reading assignments and lecture notes. Mostly took me around 3 hours to finish her weekly assignments. Very organized teacher. The test can be a bit difficult at times but as long as you study the tests become very easy.

As long as you stay on top of your work you'll do great in this class. Carolyn was the best, she made science make sense and made lots of real world connections to help you retain and remember information.

I have dropped chemistry 3 times with other professors. I am so bad at math and would get too stressed in even the first week with them. Carolyn is my chemistry angel, she is so amazing at dumbing it down so that anybody can understand it, to the point I actually don't feel so bad at math anymore. Take this professor if your even doing chem for the MNTC or for your major, she made this class super accessible and manageable throughout the year, hated chem even in high school but after this class I can say I enjoyed it a lot. Can't stress this enough sign up really early for her course!

The workload in this class is a lot but she did such a good job organizing it for students to manage everything as best as possible.
