Super interesting, kept my attention every day of class. Homework is self explanatory and she drops the lowest two. Just take decent notes and you'll be golden. She makes things incredibly understandable, and if you put in a little extra effort, it's an easy A. If only she taught Macro! 10/10 for sure
She is extremely nice, but I would not recommend taking her class. Her exams (2 midterms, 1 final) were a lot more difficult than they needed to be and she isn't helpful with exam preparation. She does drop the two lowest grades for both pop quizzes (participation points) and homework. I honestly regret taking her for this class.
One of the best professors Ive ever had. Super entertaining and makes lectures and learning fun. I went into Econ knowing nothing from high school and learned so much. Loved her!!!
Great Professor! I had never taken econ in high school and she explains everything in a way you can understand. If you pay attention and ask questions she'll answer and explain anything you don't understand. Her notes are very helpful but the exams are pretty hard. 2 midterms and a final, gives you participation quizzes and homework.
I struggled to even get a B in AP Macro/Micro in high school and Carrie Lee, without a doubt, made me feel like an expert in this class. She is so personable and funny that you don't realize how much material you learn from her lectures. If I could recommend a single professor for Micro it would be her! Read the text and you'll be fine!
She is really engaging and funny, and does the best to make a sometimes monotonous class interesting. Though you could learn from the textbook, still recommend going to class; its a LOT to learn on your own. Tests were pretty difficult, but I never felt like they weren't fair. Took an honors section, too, and was a pretty simple class-just STUDY
She is a real gem. Her lectures and examples make the material fun to learn. If you do your work consistently, go to class, and do some light studying, you'll be golden.
She makes a relatively boring class as fun as she can. Put in the effort and you will get the grade you want. Highly recommend taking micro with Professor Lee.
She is a very kind person, she enjoys what she does and it shows in her lectures as she is always positive while teaching. The textbook is not mandatory, but I suggest using it to study from. She also uses online tools which help. She drops 2 of your lowest online grades, and she does participation quizzes in class, usually you can use your notes.
I wish I had know about Professor Lee before seeing as this is the last class of my Econ major. I would have take every class she offers. She brings life to the lectures and makes sure to always have your interest, which makes understanding macro that much easier. Shes clear, concise, and obviously wants her students to succeed. Best prof ever.
Dr. Lee respects all students and her lectures are very useful. She prepares her students well and if you have questions, she will answer them. She does give homework, but it isn't that hard. Be prepared to study for exams. This is not an easy A and you have to work for it. Overall come to class and she will prepare you.
Dr. Lee is a great professor. She is hilarious and very nice. Her lectures are very informative and helpful to do well on exams. She does her best to make the material interesting. There are three exams, easy HW assignments, and class participation quizzes. Attend class and study for exams ahead of time to do well in her class.
She is really funny and willing to help you with anything. Super helplful with homework (she gives like once a month) and takes time to help you understand the material.
I made a RateMyProfessor account specifically so I could give this review. Professor Lee is one of the best instructors I've ever had. She is kind, caring, understanding, knowledgable, and always willing to go the extra mile for her students. Her course is challenging, but you won't drown in the coursework. Can't say enough positive things. A+ prof
Her class is interesting. Not too easy where you can't get away with not studying, but nothing worth stressing over. The material is interesting and easy to understand.
Professor Lee gives easy to understand lectures and covers everything on the tests. She is clear and concise in lecture and never gives unfair assessments. I am taking another one of her classes next semester because she is so good this semester.
Dr. Lee is a great prof. I took Micro online, but she still managed to get her bubbly personality through on lectures videos. Our assignments were pretty straight forward, one homework assignment a week, one 10 question quiz and then every four chapters an exam on honorlock. She is fair and makes economics much more interesting than it is!
CARRIE LEE IS ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS AT FLORIDA STATE! I took her on zoom and in an asynchronous setting but she is BRILLIANT! The recorded lectures were extremely well made and she was more than accommodating and detailed when I asked her questions regarding the topics. She is phenomenal and She made a class I was terrible at manageable
I loved Dr. Lee. She was amazing. The class isn't super easy but I enjoyed every minute of it. I wish I had her in person. She made online learning and lectures so fun and even made them engaging without being live. I want to take every class she teaches. She is there for her students and answers questions at all hours of the night.
i loved Dr. Lee and she was completely understanding and nice to talk to. The only thing is there are 3 exams including the final that were on honorlock. As long as you read the online book and practice the homework youll get an A
Professor Lee did an amazing job of teaching this class asynchronously. The course structure is very simple, with homeworks and quizzes being due on the same day each week, making it very hard to miss assignments. She also did a great job of making her lectures as exciting as possible in a remote setting. Not the easiest class ever, but manageable.
I took this class Fall 2019. There were random in class group assignments that counted as a quiz grade.
Dr. Lee has been my favorite prof at fsu thus far!! The workload was fair and there are 3 honorlock exams (including the final), but her lectures always kept me engaged, and Im usually not the best with online classes. If you have the option and genuinely want to learn, TAKE DR LEE!!!
Dr. Lee is an amazing teacher. She explains everything and her PowerPoints are super helpful and detailed. She gives homework assignments for each chapter, but you have a week to complete them. 4 exams including the final, all cumulative. She gives an outline for each one and is super understanding and funny in her lectures. 100% recommend.
Carrie lee is one of the best professors I've had at FSU. Although the content is slightly harder than macro, she makes it enjoyable and is an extremely caring person. Her in-class examples are always enjoyable and you can tell she wants her students to enjoy her class. Her tests are fair and it's smart to read the book.
You can tell Dr. Lee sincerely cares about her students by the way she asks for and responds to feedback. Her lectures are great and those plus the textbook ensure you don't miss anything. She makes Econ super approachable. If you're on the fence about taking one of her classes, do it. She's fantastic, best professor I've had at FSU.
First off, this class overall just sucks. Dr. Lee definitely tried her best, but this class was just miserable. I'm about to graduate with my economics degree and this was by far the hardest econ class I've taken the whole time I've been at FSU. There's so much to learn and each of the exams is SO HEAVILY WEIGHTED. Just don't take the class. Beware
Dr. Lee is a nice professor and she is good at responding but this class has probably been the hardest class I have taken at FSU. There are 4 total exams and they are all cumulative with so much information needed. These exams are also heavily weighted. Studying for this class is not easy. I would recommend staying away from this class.
One of the worst professors I have ever had. Had to teach myself the entire class. She also does not believe in curves btw.
At least her grading was better than Calhoun's. Did not study in the class and got a B. Lectures were decent tests were not too hard.
Dr. Lee was an amazing professor. She made my transition into college better. She really cares about her students and really wants you to succeed. Her lectures are good and she uses good examples. If you do the work you will love her class. She deserves the world.
Prof Lee is a great speaker and keeps you engaged her whole lectures. The class has homework on MyLab about once a week. There's 4 exams and only the final is cumulative. You get easy participation points by answering TopHat questions during the lectures. Definitely recommend!
I really enjoyed Professor Lee's teaching of Micro. Weekly homework, 3 tests and a final, and tophat participation made up the grade, which I felt was very fair. Textbook is helpful to read on your own, as thats where the HW comes from. Posts a ton of materials to help study. If you put in the time to do your work, a good grade is 100% attainable.
Prof Lee's class wasn't difficult at all. There were 3 exams + a final, weekly homework assignments, and tophat questions during class that go towards your grade. Attendance isn't mandatory, but just go to class so you can build up those tophat points + she says a lot of important things during class. Also, use the book! It really helps.
Dr. Lee is such an awesome professor. I really like her lectures. The materials are pretty heavy to me, but she keeps reviewing them so I would be understanding more. There are 3 unit exams and a final exam. It's all cumulative, so it was pretty stressful. However, for finals, I did not have to study that much, because everything was still fresh.
If you're looking for a good professor for economics, Dr. Lee was amazing! She provides you with a lot of resources to pass and uses TopHat for participation points. Her exams are difficult and you'll need to study the most for those but she is very thorough in her lectures. Take good notes and pay attention and you'll pass.
Dr. Lee is genuinely a great professor! Her content was challenging for me, but any time I would email with a question, I always got a kind, caring, and thoughtful response that demonstrates she really cares about her students. Work hard in her class and it will pay off. Final was challenging and I was super bummed it took me down to a B+ from an A
I really liked her class. She is funny and does some really fun contests in her classes to explain the principles of economics (she gave out $20 once). All I can say is READ THE TEXTBOOK - everything (!!!) on the tests is from the textbook. Take notes on it and you'll be golden. Attendance/participation points count towards your grade so dont skip
While she is a very nice teacher and very good at her job, her test make it almost impossible to get an A in her class. I went to every class, got perfect scores on everything else in her class, but got a C on the final and my grade dropped to a B. Her test are hard, and you couldn't cheat even if you wanted to. take the guy teacher instead
Carrie Lee makes a very hard topic understandable. She is a great professor so if you can sign up for her class I would strongly recommend it. She is a very fair grader and puts a lot of chances for improvement in her course. She has been one of my favorite professors.
Her tests were impossibly hard and they were about 60% of the entire grade so there is nothing else you can do. Not helpful at all, such boring lectures and doesn't care about the students at all, won't let you make anything up.
Cares about students, brings decent energy to class. Test are going to be difficult. Gotta show up to class to do well. The tophat and homework grades boost your grade a lot.
Homework is fairly easy, exams are a heavy part of your grade but if you attend the lectures and complete your homework it is almost word for word questions that will be on the exam. You dont really need the textbook, but her class isn't that difficult and her lectures are not a snooze fest.
This class was both interesting and fairly simple. Attend the lectures, take good notes to study from, and read the textbook. Pay attention to the TopHat questions because those will be the same questions that show up on the tests.
She is extremely helpful in office hours and does a great job of managing such a big class.
I took her in microeconomics in the fall and I loved her class so much I signed up for her macroeconomics class too. She is an amazing lecturer and does a great job of making sure all students understand the course material. She doesn't really do too much extra credit but if you do the homework and pay attention in class, you won't need any.
Very good professor, the class was engaging and she was very respectful towards her students. Just pay attention and take notes, you'll be fine.
Great professor, lectures contain all material and are entertaining. She expects mastery and 60% of the grade is based on 3 exams that are very difficult. She also has a very strict late work policy so be sure to pay attention to that.
She goes over everything nice and slow making it easy to understand and she uses tophat throughout the lecture to make sure we are understanding. The homework is good for preparing for the exams and she tells you exactly what will be on the exam so you can prepare. Her lectures are also fairly entertaining which is a plus.
for how big the lectures are, she does a great job of involving everyone and teaches effectively
Love love love this teacher. Actually makes micro interesting, tests are easy if you pay attention in class, I got a 90 on the first one. Very interactive.
I don't usually leave review for professors, but that being said Professor Lee was absolutely amazing. Her lectures perfectly aligned with the exams and she gives you plenty of practice problems for the exams as well!
Inspired me to choose Economics as my major, would and am taking agian.
One of the best professors I've had. Lectures can be boring because of the content but she tries her best to make them interesting. Come to class and you'll do fine.
Dr. Lee is an amazing professor. Every time I emailed her with questions, she would answer them kindly and clearly. I loved her microeconomics class, so I signed up for her macroeconomics class. She makes her lectures super entertaining and her exams are fairly simple if you just pay attention and study.
Your grade basically is decided on three cumulative exams. There are points for attendance and homework but they do nothing to your grade because they are weighted so low. You have to go to every class and do reading on your own to know what's going on. The exams are very difficult and they are not like the homework or the examples she gives us.
I cannot put into words how amazing Dr. Lee is. There's homework that isn't too hard with multiple attempts, and if you study and go to lectures you'll do well. The lectures are amazing and captivating and actually got me excited about econ. I would literally jump off a bridge if she told me it was good for the economy.
Great teacher! Very engaging classes and she really makes you understand the material! The test were okay, I got a B on all of them, she recycles questions from previous tests and top hat questions done in class. The homework was easy, took me around 1-2 hours per homework. Would recommend!
Great teacher! Only reason I got an A w/ minus was bc I realized I found business boring and lost motivation lmao, but she's funny. Tests count for too much & should be curved a little to make up for it. There's three +the final; mess up once, it's hard to recover That said the tests aren't too different from the HWs or what's taught in class
While the class was difficult, I thought she did an excellent job relating the material things that students would relate to and remember. Definitely difficult and most of grade comes down to 3 exams. Would take again
Professor Lee is an amazing and intriguing professor who makes economics fun. The content gets progressively more difficult throughout the course and I suggest spending a good amount of time reviewing the last 4 chapters of the course.
She did an amazing job of explaining economics and how concepts applied to the real world. She also is very easy to contact and meet with if you are struggling. The class is very test heavy with cumulative exams. You have to know the content inside and out to perform well. Overall great teacher just very hard exams that are most of your grade.
10/10, Attendance counts but she drops a good portion of it. She's great at lectures and her PowerPoints are helpful! If you realllly wanna know the info, STILL read the textbook. There's sometimes things she quizzes on that are in the book but weren't talked about in class. Not too many assignments, just 3 cumulative exams and pearson myLab.
This class definitely tests how good of a student you are regarding time management and keeping up w/ the course- the best way to pass w/ a good grade is by reading the textbook following her lectures. Easy class if you keep up and do the work- especially if you study!
She's very caring about her students and it is clear she's passionate about what she teaches. She always finds a way to make the content feel light. She's very helpful during office hours and is willing to explain every concept with the greatest level of detail until you understand. She posts all lectures online too. Do the hw and pay attention.
This professor made economics easy to understand and speaks very clearly. Her lectures are very good and she is very engaging. Would absolutely take a class with this professor again.
Prof Lee did a great job at explaining the material for this course and had clear requirements to pass. Attendance gives you a good percentage of your grade, and as long as you can read and fully understand her powerpoints about each chapter you'll do just fine. Study what you don't understand, ask questions, and go to her office hours for help.
Very good class, somewhat test heavy (60% of grade) however tests are not too hard.
This class was great. The lectures are fairly engaging and the tests were fair. Carrie Lee is an awesome professor, definitely recommend.
Dr. Lee is passionate about economics and it shows. She explains everything in detail and will go over the material until you understand it. Go to the lectures and you will do fine in the class. I have taken her for both macro and micro, great experience in both.
Dr. Lee is great for anyone new to economics. Her class is lecture heavy so pay attention and you'll do well. She thoroughly answers questions and is excited for discussions. Amazing professor.
She is horrible at responding to her email, as her office hours are only accessible by reaching out to her. So if you want help you will receive it 2/10 times. If you take this class, remember it is math-heavy and she words the questions horribly, making you fail. If you want a mind trip, sign up.
Is this class boring? Sometimes. But you'll definitely understand economics. Carrie clearly cares about her students, and I have no doubt that if I was struggling she would help me. Lowest grades get dropped so its really easy to pass. Would definitely recommend
Took her for micro and came back for macro. I don't think her lecture style is suited for me. The exams are worth a major part of your grade. The material is hard and I feel like it could be made a little easier for the students by doing a review. The questions are purposely tricky.
If you hate econ you need to take Professor Lee. She made class so interesting and engaging which helped me learn a lot. She uses Tophat for grades/attendance so go to class. The exams were cumulative so study study study. But overall the workload is light and the class is fun!
She loves economics and is a passionate teacher, but she can move a little slower through the lectures making it hard to stay focused and engaged. I got sidetracked easily and learned most of it through the homework. Fair professor.
Really great lectures! I loved her class and would love to take another economics course taught by her. She has a true passion for economics and her lectures reflect that.
She is truly amazing in her lectures. If you actually pay attention, the stuff she says is really understandable. Top Hat questions are a big grade by the end so go to as many lectures as you can.
Dr. Lee gives really good lectures and if you pay attention the information is digestible. The grades are very heavily based on the 3 exams including the final, but if you take notes and study youll be okay. The tophat questions in class also help your grade. My only complaint is that there is a no-late work and no exam make-up for any reason.
Phenomenal professor, she was very understanding of the difficult material and would go over it slowly to ensure everyone understands it. This was my first economics class ever and she made it very pleasing.
Dr. Lee is fantastic! I had her for both micro and macro and loved both courses. She makes econ interesting and fun for an intro class. There are three exams and about 9-10 hw assignments. She does tophat as participation but drops 35% of them so if you miss a class you're fine. She uploaded all lectures and slides and has a ton of study material.
Dr.Lee is a great professor. It feels like she actually cares that you truly learn the material. She also has an attendance policy where you just have to show up for 66% of the classes (I think 66) and it won't affect your grade. Homework is super easy with unlimited attempts. The tests are difficult but that's to be expected in an economics class.
Dr. Lee was a great Econ professor. I really enjoyed her lectures and thought of them as enjoyable, interesting and engaging. I had no prior knowledge of macroeconomics and she really simplified the ideas when lecturing which helped me learn. I am so excited to take her again in the fall for micro. I would definitely recommend her.
Carrie is a great professor, this class was a bit challenging, however some, friends said if you've taken int macro it's easier. Be sure to watch all the lecture videos and read the book (I found reading the book, then watching lectures while following along with the book worked well for me). This class was doable, but you have to put in effort.
Professor Lee is great. However, there's three exams and they're all extremely difficult. Do not rely on the posted powerpoints, you'll need to take notes on her lectures and study before each exam. But she has great resources on tophat and mylab to help you practice! Pay attention in class and you should do fine.
Carrie is amazing, she dresses up for Halloween and has banana-eating competitions to show diminishing marginal utility. Just some of the fun things she does. The lectures are informative and presented nicely with lots of examples and fun stories. There are 2 tests and a final. Many resources for studying. You are missing out if you don't take her.
An amazing professor, I found her lectures to be very engaging with students; however, there are three tests and each test increases weight as the semester goes on. Many of the test concepts show up on the exams that were not discussed in the PowerPoints. The textbook is a must. Also recycles missed exam questions from previous tests for next exam.
Overall good. Crammed a lot of info in last minute though which made studying for the final more difficult. will not offer extra credit or makeup exams under any circumstances.
She was a lot of fun and a great teacher!
go to class and take good notes. Dont copy straight from the slides listen to what shes saying and paraphrase it. She gives lots of test question answers in the lectures and lots of practice with the types of questions on exams. Use the tophat practice quizzes to study for exams they are the exact types of questions you will see on exams,
Carrie Lee is a good proffesor but her lectures aren't very interesting. You have to take notes and can't rely soley on her powerpoints. The tests are not easy and are worth most of your grade in the class aside from long homework assignments. She uses tophat for attendance but drops some of the scores so you have some leway in not attending class
This class as a whole wasn't too difficult. I believe that, while Lee is very knowledgeable about the subject and gives good assignments to help learn the material, her lectures are very hard to stay focused in. She gives too many examples during lecture even after explaining it in depth. Leads to a lack of attentiveness. Overall not bad though.
This is my second semester taking Carrie Lee. In my opinion, she has been a generally good professor. She is engaging and positive, and always has a good energy while lecturing. There aren't too many assignments just weekly hw assignments, two small quizzes and 3 exams(including final). The content isn't too hard but test questions can be tricky.
Absolutely awful teacher. Class is reliant on three test grades, exams 1 and 2 and the final. The tests get increasingly harder and end up being impossible. Horrible with staying on task during lecture and always tells stories that are irrelevant to the class. Do not take her for micro, take hammock if you want a good grade.
This was my first Econ class at FSU and Professor Lee made the class interesting and engaging, which I liked! However, her exams are tough so you have to put a lot of effort into studying. Her lectures don't prepare you enough for the exams so make sure you know how to explain the material inside and out. Other than that I enjoyed having her.
I think that her lectures were clear and engaging. Could have been better organized though as too much time was allotted to the material at the beginning compared to not enough at the end. The tests not too difficult but get progressively harder, and you definitely need to know all the material on the slides and go over Top Hat questions.
Love Carrie Lee! She is so kind and funny and you can tell she knows what she's talking about. 2 attempts per hw question so you should be able to get good scores on those. She posts lecture kids online but you should show up to do Top Hat questions. The tests are kinda hard imo so try and have a cushion incase you do badly on a test
Great professor!
Prof. Lee is a good professor. But the exams are difficult so you have to study. 3 exams and weekly homework assignments.
She was always bubbly and prepared for class. IMO this class was slower-paced and simpler than I would have liked, but for non-econ majors or people only wanting to learn the basics I think it would be good. Sometimes she rambles about non-coursework-related information. Other than that, she is a good prof, pretty easy class if you just study a bit
Super awesome and caring professor. Mad chill.
Very engaging and make material digestible.
Carrie Lee is a kind woman, but her lectures are difficult to stay focused in and more review outside of the class is needed. For our final there were technical difficulties, so she told us it would be online. After, she went back on what she said and made us take it at the testing center. Not cool to lie to students, and I would not take again.
Not a large work load and she is a really engaging professor.
Professor Lee was very good at teaching and lot's could be learned by just attending class. The exams were content heavy but if you did the bare minimum, you could still pass. I would take her again.
Didn't go to class, just did the practice tophat
Didn't go to class at all, studied using tophats and the textbook. No curve, final is 75 questions
Carrie Lee is literally the best Econ professor. Do not take anyone else. She makes the material so easy to comprehend and digest. She also gives little things here and there to help your grade.
If you want to understand and have a somewhat enjoyable time learning Econ, TAKE CARRIE LEE'S CLASS!!!
Final was very hard- 75 questions
Do good on first two exams so that you have leeway for the last exam
Professor Lee was very entertaining and kept students engaged during lectures. The minimal homework assignments mixed with in class TopHat questions allowed for easy studying for the three exams. Highly recommend
Prof. Lee is knowledgable and a good lecturer but read the textbook to pass, many questions come from book and HW.
INCREDIBLE PROFESSOR. Made me fall in love with economics, even though I've never taken any economics class before. Brought real examples, funny stories, and had a banana eating contest, all for us to have memorable examples of material. Clear grading criteria, very fair quizzes, exams, and HW. Final was more difficult, but if you study you're good
Not too difficult but I struggled to pay attention to some of the lectures. She obviously knows a lot about the subject but yaps about stuff wayyyyy too much.
She is definitely passionate about economics and understands the subject well. Coming from someone who is not an economics major and is also struggles to understand economics, the class is definitely on the harder side. The first 2 exams aren't bad if you study, apart from some weirdly worded/indirect questions. The final was much more difficult.
She was honestly my favorite professor until the final because she's passionate about what she teaches. Exam 1: 92.5%, Exam 2: 97.5%, Final: 76%. The final was unreasonably hard and resulted in me losing my A by 0.12%. She does not round grades up.
Coming into this class, I had zero economics background at all. Professor Carrie Lee's class works at a slower pace, which does help for complete understanding. Whilst, I'll be honest, I did not go to every single lecture, reading through the textbook did allow for a good idea as to what was going to be on the exams. She is caring and passionate.
She is the least understanding and least personable human you will ever meet. Spare yourself the misery.
Great professor who is very knowledgeable and lectures are engaging. The first two exams are not hard but the final is way more difficult than the two midterms. She is very passionate about economics and very caring toward students.
Carrie Lee is a great teacher, you should attend the lectures, I didn't and it reflects in my grade. Exams are very manageable all the study resources are posted to canvas.
She is a nice person and she sets you up to do well in the class if you pay attention to the lectures... I found it hard to always do that though. Teaches at kind of a slow pace and class got harder as the year went on. Would still recommend
I do not recommend Professor Carrie Lee. She's unapproachable, unwilling to help students succeed, and refuses to round grades—even by the smallest margin. Her lack of flexibility and empathy makes the class unnecessarily stressful. If you're looking for a supportive professor, look elsewhere.Had a B+ and the final TANKED me.
Dr. Carrie Lee was an amazing professor. Her class is really enjoyable and I genuinely was excited to go to class every day. Tests can be a bit hard to study for, but she makes the resources available if you really look.
Prof. Lee was an incredible professor. Her lectures were very engaging and easy to understand. The exams and homework assignments weren't too difficult as it only contained material from the lectures. Great class to take as a freshman.
She's a good professor and teaches with long lectures. She goes slow though and throws in jokes to help students understand. Allowed to miss 33% of the lectures but most of the test questions are from the TopHat she teaches in class. No extra credit. No makeup tests. No cheating.
Overall an amazing professor. She drops 40% of the classes that you miss through inclass participation assignments. Exams aren't bad if you study. She makes the class super fun to be in. If you miss exam 1 and exam 2, your final grade will just fill in for your missed exams so you dont even have to take them if you're confident you'll do good.
Professor Lee keeps the class engaging. The mix of TopHat questions and minimal homework makes studying a breeze. Definitely use unstuckstudy alongside the free textbook - saved me time on exam prep.
I signed up to write this. I've had bad professors, but none worth writing about on this site. Carrie Lee's consistent lack of empathy is astonishingly cold-hearted. If a tragic extenuating circumstance leaves you w/o tech or money, severe injuries, & emotionally destroyed, good luck. Her policies also encourage you to bet your grade on the final.
Terrible course, professor lacks all empathy even in the most horrible, out of control situations, not her problem. Tests are worth your entire grade and policies discourage students from trying by punishing you for trying unsuccessfully on chapter tests, and you if you skip them and bet your whole grade on the final, you'll likely fail or get a C.
She's one of the best professors I've ever had! She made me really love economics and her lectures are very easy to understand and makes the concepts a lot less challenging. This class is exam heavy but I found the exam content to be quite fair (very doable to get an A if you study). Final is quite difficult so try to do well on the midterms.
Lectures are so boring, she will spend 30 minutes on 1 slide so your interest is lost so easily. If you don't show up to lectures you probably won't do well on exams since what she says is what you're being tested on, which sucks when her lectures are so boring you barely have motivation to go or listen if you do go.
Dr. Lee is my favorite professor I've had. After having her for both micro and macro, she uses real world examples to help you understand concepts, and is more than happy to provide further clarification. Exams are difficult and you need to study at least a week out before your exam. Is strict about not rounding grades.
Carrie Lee is an incredible economics professor. She tries hard to make a boring subject more interesting for her students. I love her lectures, and she is very engaging.
Amazing professor!
She makes the content easy to understand. Large portion of grade are tests that can be hard and lectures are posted online to review
Great Professor
Professor Lee was an amazing professor! She was always available during office hours and willing to help. The subject could be tough at times, but she made it easier with her supportive attitude and sense of humor in class.
Carrie Lee is a great professor and she cares about her job. She would often use real-world examples and in-class examples to explain intricate ideas in each chapter. Homework was manageable, and she gave ample time to complete it. The only thing I struggled with was the exams: the practice exams were helpful, but lots of curveballs in exams!
