There's only about 40,000 opportunities for extra credit, and it's common to see students complete the class with MORE points than are available. A M A Z I N G teacher!! She can be a hard grader on your papers, but its very helpful criticism. The papers are easy to write. Just follow the handout she gave you in class (she tells you EXACTLY how to write it), use spell check/good grammar, and you'll get an A without a problem. No exams. I RECOMMEND HER 100%

Good teacher overall. I took a twice-weekly 2.5 hour long class. The only 2 complaints I can think of are how she would over-talk the details of the assignment instructions during lectures, & that she gave-out too much papers every time I came to class. But overall she is satisfactory.

Easiest class I've ever had. She gives 10 max extra credit points on top of the 100 total class points so it is easy to pass with over 100%. If you want to get a taste of the real college world (Universities) with grace and help, PLEASE take this class. It helped me grow in areas I didn't even knew existed. She is funny, witty, smart, and cares.

This is long overdue but I took Carrie for Eng 098 and 101 last year. She is a very kind and compassionate person. Carrie genuinely cares about her students and goes above and beyond to help you learn and succeed! Her lectures are interesting and entertaining. She taught me so much knowledge about writing! Clark is extremely lucky to have her!

Carrie is a caring professor, she gives a good amount of feedback. Honestly I never had a professor cares about her students a lot. If you missed an homework essay she will give you a chance to submit it to her. You can also show her part of your essay for feedback. She will help you the best she can, but you will need to work for your grade also.

I took Carrie for English 98 and 101. She is by far my favorite teacher and will do anything she can to help you pass if you ask for it. She gives you a lot of extra credit options and gives amazing, helpful feedback.

I can't say enough good about Steltz. I took both her 98 and 101 english class. She gives amazing feedback on all your papers. She gives a possible 10 credits of extra credit so there is a huge chance you will get a A if you do the work on time and take her recommendations. I got over 100% in both classes.

Best English teacher ever! Her class was not easy but well worth the effort. I used the textbook twice. She is VERY detail oriented, especially when it comes to MLA citations, so be prepared to finish the class knowing how to cite a paper by heart :) She is a quick grader, available before and after class to get help, and is not in intimidating.

Professor Steltz has been one of the most inspirational, caring, and wonderful professors I have had the privilege of knowing. She continuously makes herself available to assist her students and genuinely cares about their success. She is clear and consistent with her assignments and cares a great deal about the success of her students.

Professor Steltz is an amazing English teacher if you show up and do the work you will pass this class. Mrs Steltz gives you all the support you need, anytime I had a question, I would simply email her and within minutes she would respond. I feel that she really cares about her students and encourages them to do there best, I reccomend her class.

Carrie Steltz is a good ENGL 101 professor, although her lectures are extremely heavy and there is always a lot of stress-inducing homework. However, she is very helpful if you want your papers reviewed via email before you turn them in to her. I always had an abundance of questions for her, which she would answer after class and through email.

This class was super easy, i enjoyed the atmosphere. The homework was pretty easy if you payed attention, missed a few days of class but i still got an A, Just keep in contact with her through email and she will respond within 48hrs

Take her, take her, take her! You will not regret it! She has many tips and tricks to becoming a stronger writer that really improved my skills. She offers 10 extra credit points that can be earned just by participating in class!

I actually took her class earlier in Fall, but the experience was wonderful regardless. The writing assignments felt greatly applicable to current events and felt more than just "another paper to write". She has a very positive air about her which was very welcoming. There is 10 points of extra credit to be had, and plenty of chances to receive it.

I took this course with Carrie in the Fall of 2019. She was honestly the best English professor I have ever had. She will teach you many tips and tricks to improve your writing! She is easy to visit with and her grading criteria is clear! She even says herself that most students receive A's in her course, you just need to put in the effort!

Professor Steltz was a very good choice for my English 101 course! I took her online during the COVID-19 chaos, and she was very pleasant in all her e-mails and zoom conferences. She wants everyone to do well and is clearly passionate about good writing. There were also a LOT of extra credit options, which were a real grade booster. Great teacher!

You'll have a midterm and final essay, some short reflective essays nearing the end of the quarter, and tons of extra credit opportunities. Spend about 2-4 hours a week (not including finals week) and you're guaranteed at least a B.

Prof. Steltz was an amazing teacher to have. She answers questions quickly, cares about your grades, is specific and honest and genuinely likes to read what you've written. I'm a better writer, reader and learner because of her! I wanted to take her class for 102, but it wasn't available. I recommend this teacher for 101, for sure!!

Carrie is a caring professor that really looks out for her students. As long as you put in time an effort, she'll be generous with feedback and work with you to achieve a great grade. Her modules were self-explanatory, but if I ever had a question she replied in a timely manner. Would choose her again.

Really a great teacher with very clear well thought out curriculum. This class is not hard to pass if you put in the effort. Just pay attention to instructions and ask Carrie questions when you are confused and you will do fine.

Carrie was amazing! She offers tons of easy extra credit assignments. I passed her class with a 105 percent. If I can pass her class so can you! She is very detailed in her modules which makes all of her assignments very simple. You can tell she is passionate about teaching and wants you to pass. I highly suggest Carrie for English.

100 points of extra credit, do them and you will pass with an A. 3 essays overall that are super easy, and she is an really easy grader also if you put in the effort. The final is not easy I would say but if you do extra credit you will still get an A.

Ms. Luper is the best English professor at Clark. There were easy extra credit opportunities and only a few large papers. Ms. Luper is very clear in explaining the assignments to you and gives great feedback on them. She typically responds to emails within 30 minutes, which is great if you need help. Would highly recommend.

You literally can't fail this class unless you don't try. All her modules are detailed and outline what she expects from each assignment. There's also not a lot of assignments either. If you put in the effort it's an easy A. Not to mention the extra credit available in this course is abundant. She's very helpful in emails too.

Dr. Luper was an amazing professor! I took her English class during the fall quarter, which was my first time ever in a college class. She sets an amazing standard. Her instructions are clear and she has everything you need in the modules. If you need any help, she responds in a timely manner and gives extensive feedback.

I took her class in 2020 and she did a great job adjusting to an online course. She always responded quickly and gave good feedback. She made time to zoom call me personally when I was stressed about my essay and she worked with me for about 45 mins or so.

Ms. Luper is a great professor. She points out any mistakes you make in your essay but doesn't grade too harshly for the errors. If you get below an A, you did not dedicate more than 3 seconds of your life to the class. A reviewer below me said the class "required a lot of reading." Maybe if you never learned to read more than one word per year.

Carrie was really great to work with. She has clear and quick communication when you have questions. Her criteria are clear, and she gives good constructive feedback. Tons of extra credit opportunities if you want to take them. I am really looking forward to taking classes with her in the future.

Ms Luper was an excellent proffesor and a even better human. She responds very quikly and even went on a zoom call with me to perfect my final essay for the best grade possible. She does talk alot on her assignments but the work maybe takes and hour-2 per week, quite easy. The quizzes you have 2 tries so its impossible to fail, great teacher!

She's experienced, clear, gives great feedback, responds quickly to emails, and grades pretty quickly. If you're independent, willing to read many modules and pace yourself, you'll be good in her online class. She gives detailed instructions, but it can be overwhelming at times. I wouldn't say it's an easy A, but she gives you all the tools needed.

This professor was very present in online format in the class I was taking. She added funny comments in modules, without losing the idea of the importance of skills needed within the class. My only complaint I have would be that sometimes the module pages can get a bit confusing, especially when ideas are stated multiple times in different ways.

She's just amazing! I could write a whole paragraph exclaiming her excellence! She is very caring and kind, giving great feedback and always thoroughly reading through each of my assignments, even the small silly ones. I really appreciate her simple and fun, yet intriguing assignments/workload. Really took my creative writing to another level!
