She is so very nice and helpful. It is obvious that she really cares about biology and her students. Class is interactive and fun and tests are fair and not difficult if you go over the study guide. I would highly recommend taking a class from her, she is never boring and always very friendly.

This is the first biology class I've ever taken, and the lectures make the material very easy to understand. The test questions come directly from the study guides, and almost all of that material comes from the powerpoint lectures. She's very enthusiastic about biology and it shows when lecturing and answering questions.

Easy professor. I was expecting this class to be a lot more challenging than it turned out to be. Some of her exam questions seemed like a joke...ridiculously easy. Others I was surprised to see on the exam because they seemed relatively unimportant. Anyways, somewhat helpful in office hours. I got an A and never even opened the book.

Carrie is a sweet person, but her teaching style is really strange. She asks really basic questions and when no one responds, she assumes it's because we don't know the answers..mostly we're just amazed she even asked the question in the first place. Her lecture pace is too fast, and she's confusing. I'm a bio major, and I found this class whack.

Great teacher. You'll barely touch your book. If you study her study guides and understand the material, you'll do fine. Make sure you always go to class and pay attention to the slides and what she says. That will be much more important than the book. You will use the book for study guides but you'll mainly rely on in-class notes. Awesome class.

Had a blast in bio this quarter. Carrie was awesome, and while her lectures weren't always helpful in understanding the material, she was available to help out whenever you needed support. She was often present in lab as well which was really helpful. No exams, just weekly quizzes and a few assignments throughout the quarter.

Prof Schwarz is very nice and kind. She makes sure you understand and will go out of her way to make sure you do. She will answer any question too. Bio 204 is also a very easy class when taken with Carrie. No exams, quizzes once a week on Friday, and labs are pretty simple and straight forward. Great introduction to the world of biology

carrie was so sweet and kind. although some of the course material was difficult to grasp, the actual grading of the class was extremely forgiving and easy to do well in. she gives weekly online, take home quizzes, that you get to take twice. you should be able to ace every one if you check what you get wrong. there was no midterm and no final.

Carrie is such an amazing professor! Her lectures always covered the necessary material, and she tried to keep things interesting with different activities every once in a while. Her study guides and practice quizzes for exams are almost like a cheat sheet for the real exam, and if you study them and the concepts on them well, you'll do great.

Carrie was great! Lectures were interesting and she is obviously very passionate about the subject and teaching. She always makes sure to post extra resources for specific questions asked during lecture, and is always very pleasant to be around. She even comes to labs to answer any questions and is honestly just a very nice person. I recommend!!

Carrie cares a lot about her students and their learning, which is great! Lectures have a lot of information but she builds in exit slips and class assignments to keep you interested. Exams could be very tough as there's a lot to memorize so watch out for that. Allows for test corrections and extra credit. Lab counts for third of your grade.

Carrie is one of the best professors I've had so far. She is kind and intelligent and truly believes there are no bad questions. She genuinely wants her students to succeed and understand the concepts. The content is pretty easy and the slides are all available on Canvas. She gives lots of resources to study for exams as well. Take Carrie!
