He's very good teacher, he's teaching hard and help you all the time. He will give you a very clear notes for the assignments and tests. Mostly, students got A or B+ from the course, it's easy to get A form this course.
i agree that he is a nice and hardworking teacher...but..if u dun studu hard..its hard to get an A or B tho...

he was definitely a good prof. he tried to make jokes, but by the end of the class they got tired and boring. he marks hard, but if you study hard, read his notes and the textbook you'll do ok.

Very good but very demanding teacher. Teaches on power points, but he is making it easy to understand and very usefull for the tests. Explanations are for the mortals and not as for experienced accountants. Will teach you how to do taffest calculations easy. Attend class, do your homework and you'll be fine. Hard marker though.

The worst teacher I ever had in my life...If you want to fail go right ahead and choose his class. He is boring does not get to the point and likes his own kind if you know what I mean. He also make you put your name up on your desk so that he can pick on you while you are tuned out because of his boring accent and erelevant stories. HE STANKS

He's a terrific professor and really helps students. He is not in any way only nice "to his kind". People who go to SMS expecting an easy grade complain about him but the people who do the work do well in his classes. I learned a lot from him as he gives a lot of tips about using the software.

He is the worst person you wanna ever have for this course.Will make the course so complicated for you,i was a good student in his class,but still saying he is the worst person in behaviour and teaching techniques.Pay attention no non important stuff,do not help you pass the course with good grade even if you try so hard.
If you want to give yourself hard time take him for your ethics,if not go the nice professor Tom Eng who teaches this course and is so nice,easy marker and helpful.Cary is a terrible teacher and also having a very rude and bad personality.

He is strict and a hard marker as well. It doesn't mean you won't get A from him. If you work hard and don't take many subjects you might get A. He will make you sign 12 pages of rules and agreement on every assignment and initial on ur test or ur mark will be deducted. You will learn a lot though, but won't be easy. Hes helpful.

Never teach in the class but crazy in repeating his test requirments. Crazy in putting down students to feel a good feeling of himself - he is so smart but others are lazy and fool.

If you want to fail and stay Seneca longer, that is a good idea to choose his section.
If it were at all possible, I so wish that we the students would form a coalition and create some sort of online petition to get this teacher (and I use the word teacher very lightly) booted out of that school or better yet booted out of his profession. He is absolutely useless, and is of no service at all. The worst of the worst. REALLLY!

he is a sucker, he's helpful in the course but not in the exam. his make the exam very hard to understand and always deduct your marker. he just want you to be failed.
a collective problem. I think the only way it could be rectified, if all the 95% of the students who either failed or dropped the course from all the section you teach, write a written letter to your boss about this issue. Only then it could make a difference!

He makes you sign a contract at the beginning of the semester and before every test. This is not practiced by the other professors teaching the same subject.
He is the craziest teacher I have ever had. He humiliates students and doesn't teach. I hope Seneca saves students time and money much better than this. In the class absolutly everybody was hating him!
Professor Ng is a teacher who has no concept of a learning curve whatsoever. Not only does he provides no hands-on teaching, but he also gives tests in Access that are so difficult. It is like he expects you to become an expert overnight in learning the subject.

This was a tough class. The professor expected us to be the best we could be. He pushed us to study hard. It wouldn't of been so bad if his tests were similar to practice exercises. Take his class if you are looking for a no nonsense learning experience.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. He is the worst teacher I ever met. If you take it, you would better to change another professor or drop this course. You will be very tough to pass it. In the end of your sememster, you will find there are only six people in your class. I AM NOT KIDDING.

Talks for 2 hrs straight with no breaks about how to use software and you don't get a chance to try it in class.If you ask him a question,he won't listen to what you are asking,cuts you off and tells you to read and look at his material OR gives you an answer not relevant to your question. Thinks he's giving real life practice but he's not.

Worst professor at Seneca. His Instruction in the class is very unclear. All my friends told me to drop his class before the semester even started. His material on Blackboard is very confusing and when ask him a question in the class or email him about something, his reply won't be helpful.
If you want to take the course two or more times, I would recomment him. He will help you to learn nothing and take the course again next semester. And never ask him questions in the class couse your answer would be this: (YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW THIS!!!)

Very terrible professor, he makes everything unnecessarily complicated, I took his class and got an A but it took me huge amount of time! He had lots of material for you to sign(sample cover page, agreement...) Extremely strict, and always mock students, don't take his class unless you have tons of free time and nothing to do

He is nice but not a good teacher. He made the test too complicated and its not even based on the content of the course. FOR EX:put ur initial on each box or else reduce one mark each. OR place a check mark on the box when you finish the question or else one mark will be reduced
He is a terrible professor. He doesn’t answer any questions clearly. When he posts the exercises on the blackboard he posts so many of them that in class he confuses himself while trying to find the one he needs. He makes easy things more complicated. If you are in his class close your ears and learn everything by yourself.

If you are taking his class you need a great amount of time to practice. He always say you need to develop critical thinking and not just do typing exercises.

Terrible! You need a lot of time and effort for his class, but might not get a great mark. His test is hard, he is a hard marker, and never adjust mark. However, he knew many things. Very helpful in many areas but not your subject. I will never take his class again!
The worst teacher ever in the history of teaching.
No point in going to this class. I learned everything following the textbook. The only reason to go to class is to show participation (gets you extra points) and also, at the half way point in the semester, he changes the order of the text book so you need to go to know what order you need to do things. Listening to him was confusing.

PLEASE READ THIS I'm a A+student. I beat every course in Seneca even under the hardest-marking professors. HOWEVER, I failed completely in Cary's class. He is the worst prof ever. You will constantly wonder why he's still teaching in Seneca. He always try to be nice and helpful BUT he actually makes simple things FREAKING COMPLICATED PLS STAY AWAY
Although I got A in this class, I don't want anymore victim like our class. If he is your professor, please change the course right away. I'm very serious. even 1 point is too much for him
This teacher is funny although his teaching capabilities is questionable along with the fact that he is very intimidating to approach due to his condescending nature. His tests are definitely a lot more work compared to other professors but not necessarily more difficult. If your decent in excel take his class easy A if a beginner avoid at all cost
I disliked this lecturer. All for himself not really focused on assisting students. Tests are relatively tough. He likes to say "Whether you guys fail or not, i"ll get paid" Like why would you say that to the students. Avoid Cary.

He is not bad as most people claimed he was. At first, I was scared because of his rating and expected him to be REALLY bad. But after a few weeks of classes, I came to an understanding. He's a professor that expects and push you to be better. As for marking, he grades it accurately. In a nutshell, his class his hard but feel awarded for the effort
Exercises he prepared for class is VERY similar to tests/exam. Only downfall is short answers are a little tough. attending class and completing lessons in textbook is a must. Overall, I found him better than most reviews for him. I passed his class with an A.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I took his class for a bit, and dropped it right away. I cant learn in an environment where I am belittled for asking a question. That, and I cant understand a damn thing he said as his little microphone was lodged in his throat. Needs to retire and get off the gravy train..
He is not bad as most people rated. He always asked questions in his class, but don't be afraid he won't do anything if you can't answer it. He always give good feedback in every student's text paper, and he often give some mark up to those who got very low mark in the text. If you did study, passing his course wasn't difficult.

Worst prof ever. I suggest dropping his course ASAP. Not saying this because I had a bad experience but because everyone in the class did. Apparently everything should be 'common sense' in this course, so don't even bother asking him questions because he will embarrass you infront of the whole class. Trust me, drop it.
Before i took his class, i was in complete FML status. I read so many negative comment before i even entered the class, so i was purely frustrated even before i enter. The worst was when he was the only SMS216 teacher that fits my schedule. However, after i took his class. I can honestly say that it was the easiest class i had in Seneca.

The prof may seem like a tough marker, but he is not. Go to his classes and take notes on how he does the in-class exercises step-by-step, and practice them again before your tests and you will do fine. He is also approachable during his office hours if help is needed, so don't be nervous about setting an appointment.

I really feel sorry for you if you have him. he is so restricted on his tests. he expects you to read the textbook and do the exercises and learn it yourself. if you ask questions or you don't understand something, he makes fun of you and embarrasses you. just don't take him for your own sake.
Dont take his course. He only gives 90mins with extra short answer question when other prof gives 120mins. So many Not To Do list or you lose 5points for each error when exams. Youll end up lose chunk of scores for minor errors like file name. He uploads so many files here and there which means everywhere. All he says is what can I do. Seriously

Okay. Professor Ng is someone you need to get used to. He has a very high standard for his students. He expects you to know things prior to attending his class. How to pass? Attend his class (suck it up!), READ ALL of the things he posts (theres prob 500 of them) and practice regularly. Not gonna lie, I've never been so stressed for a class before
If u need to ruin your GPA just take his course. He doesn't care about students and try his best to give you less marks. Tests are tricky too.
In this class, you should try to attend every class and you have to practice. If you don't you are going to be so confused in the tests. If you want to take him.. don't. But if you do, expect mediocre jokes, no help in class because he doesn't know much about computers, and if you are slow he might make fun of you then say he isn't. Fun times!
i usually do not believe whats written on this website, but what you see here about this guy is legit. Do not take him if u dont want your tuition fees to go on waste. If you dont believe it, your loss.
