She knows her info. She is tough, but if you're a good student you'll do fine. Some may not like her style, but I think she's very good. She's holding things down for women in CJ!

Dr. Jordan is a great Prof. she knows her stuff. Lots of rules in her class. You will learn a lot. Course load is not that heavy for a 200 level class.

I have taken every single class taught by Dr. Jordan. Dr. Jordan has a vivacious, energetic, and outgoing personality, which makes her classes enjoyable as well as informative. Every student should take at least one of her classes, plus she is HOT!! :)

I had the pleasure of taking a course with her back in 1997 or so. If you think she's hot now, you have to go back 7 or 8 years. She was kind of a conservative dresser, but summer classes with her proved to be worth while.

Dr. Jordan is a good teacher and her classes are very interesting, but she doesn't put up with any bs. She will not except any kind of excuses for missing assignments or handing them in late, but as long as you go do the work it is fine.

She is an awesome professor. Very animated and interacts with students during her lecture. Tells many stories. Mid-term and final are very straight forward- 50 multiple choice tests, and two 5 page papers. Very, Very, helpful and quite interesting.

She is an amazing prof. You is very funny because she will tell you how it is!

SHE IS SSSSSO HOT. YES she is hard. Don't fall asleep in her class b/c an eraser will be throne @ your head. I know from experience. She really is a great prof. She tells the funniest stories. NO home work. She will give you a five page paper every now and then. She gives you mad long to do it.Any one that takse her class knows, "wanna ride bikes?

you have to read the book but the class is interesting, she tells stories every class. she'll take all class to go through one page in the book, but with her stories it makes the class fun. oh yea dont bring your phone to class or chew gum, she'll make sure you know the has A.D.D.

Unlike many professors Dr. Jordan actually makes you work for your grade. Therefore, if you're not willing to work don't bother taking her.

Absolutely the best professor EVER! Amazing, every class is interesting and you will learn SO much. Dr. Jordan expects a lot from her students, but if you attend class and do your work, you will do well. It's very hard to find such an enthusiastic professor, definitely take as many of her classes as possible!

awesome teacher, best ive ever had. Definitely doesnt put up with any bulls***, but she lets you know that from the getgo. Class is by no means easy but she actually makes me wish the 75 minute class was longer!

Dr. Jordan is by far the most intelligent and interesting professor at WCSU. She loves what she does, and really knows what she's talking about. She doesn't put up with any crap but has a really good sense of humor. Words of advice if you do take her: don't chew gum and turn off your cell phone before entering the room. Or else watch out...

Dr Jordan is a great teacher, I learned a lot during her class but you have to work to earn the grade you want, not easy. But overall a great, interesting class.

She's really funny and very interesting teacher... she has a tendency to talk about things that happened in the past but they do have to do with the topics you cover in the class... I like her she will help you if needed and she will keep your ass in check!!!!!!!

Dr. Jordan is an awesome teacher, she is very interesting and has a great sense of humor, makes going to class interesting and fun.. the only class of the day i look forward too. Her tests are pretty hard even if you study a lot for them, so watch out with that.

OH MY GOD! Jordan is AMAZING! best class every literally looked forward to this class every week. She loves loves what she does and knows what she is talking about. Jordan loves what she does. Her tests are extremely difficult, literally pulled 2 all nighters studying and still managed to get only a 74, but her stories are so interesting!!!!!!!!!!!

By far she is one of the funniest teachers at western. Her tests are hard just read the book and you'll be fine. Overall great class and teacher.

Dr. Jordan is by far the best professor I have had. She really makes you want to read the textbook and is extremely gifted in teaching. Also, she has so many stories she shares in class. Advice, read the textbook and GO TO CLASS! Vocab is very important in her class

Not an easy professor. You will work, she tells you up front that her class is the equivalent of all your others combined. She is extremely intelligent and has so much knowledge on the subject. She is intense & will call you out. No texting, no gum, and not lateness. She can be brutal but I'd take her again. Don't miss class! She'll keep you late.

Ms. Jordan is an exceptionally smart woman with a lot of experience in the criminology field. However, her class is simply her standing in the front telling stories, watching Youtube and getting completely off topic. What I did not enjoy from her class is the fact that what you learn in class has nothing to do with what you are tested on.

This was the one class I looked forward to going to every week! Dr. Jordan is amongst the most intelligent professors at WCSU and is by far one of the best teachers I've ever had. Expect to read and write a lot, and expect to be called out if you don't. But you will learn so much and have an incredible time doing so! (She's a news reporter too!)

Seriously, this is COLLEGE... funny how her standards haven't changed, she has always been appropriately demanding and a tough grader, but these days students complain about a challenge instead of working on doing better. Her standards are high, yes you have to work, but you'll end up so much smarter (and a better writer) if you just do the work.

What I find amazing about students that take Dr. Jordan and complain is that they never want to do the work. If you read the text, study, and do the research then you'll pass her exams and her papers. The high standards are set so that you're a better student and better employee in the future. I think she is a phenomenal professor.

Taken a bunch of courses with her including Women & CJ, Human Rights, Advanced Crim, and the Profiling course. Incredible professor, once of the best at WCSU, funny, and she gives a damn about the subjects and wants you to do well. But you get out as much as you put in. If you're lazy, can't write, won't read, go work at Taco Bell.

Dr. Jordan classes are difficult, but she's the only professor I've met that's prepared me for the rigors of a professional career. Her writing is intense & formatted but it's all in good cause. To be successful, you must attend her lecs, seek extra help, & know to substantiate your arguments. She pushes you to be better than your own expectations.

I took one of Dr. Jordans classes and I enjoyed the readings and papers. Yes, there is a lot of papers, but it in the end it helps prepare students on how to properly write a paper. She is a fair grader and if you do not try then you will not get a good grade. Dont leave papers until the last minute. You will do fine if you try.

Dr. Jordan is one of my favorite professors that Ive had at WCSU. In this course (Breaking Bad), we had 5 papers to do, each with an outline to follow. As long as you read the book, watch the show, and follow the outline of the paper, she gave the grade that you deserve. However, if you veer away from her directions she will hammer your grade.

I've had many courses with Dr. Jordan; I never get A's in her classes because she is a harsh grader; however, she will make you learn and drill the knowledge into you and her APA outline. Before you take her class, make sure you know how to write in APA, or else it's over.

I took an intersession course with her and it was intimidating at first to be honest. Once she was crystal clear with her expectations it was easy to succeed. She offers great feedback on writing pieces and overall is a great professor.

I have taken 3 classes with Dr. Jordan and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. She is regularly available to answer any questions and gives detailed explanations on how to complete assignments. Ample time is given to complete each assignment, and her online sessions should be taken advantage of. I highly recommend her classes if you want to learn.

Here are the pros: Dr. Jordan's classes are fun and engaging, and you'll learn a lot. The cons are that the classes are hard. If you're looking for an easy A, this isn't it. But worth it if you're actually looking to learn about criminology from someone who is an expert.

Took this class online (asynchronous) and it was a piece of cake. No exams, just quiz questions. No annoying discussion threads. Very straightforward and easy A as long as you turn in the papers on time. Yes, Dr. Jordan cares a lot, maybe too much about grammar, but her feedback helps you learn. MY writing improved a lot from taking her class

Dr. Jordan is one of the best professors at WestConn. She cares about your progress and is always available to meet with you and discuss ways to improve upon your work. She strives to make you an analytical, professional writer by pushing you to do your best. She always provides thorough feedback on assignments and her lectures are super compelling

I took this class as an elective before I graduated with a double major. BE WARNED. The papers are meticulous and must follow strict guidelines. Papers are my downfall, but the feedback was detailed and improved my work. I am an honor's student and this my hardest class at WCSU. Overall, I enjoyed the topics and Dr. Jordan is phenomenal.

It's hilarious to see that students find her either AWESOME (me) or TERRIBLE (people who don't belong in college). When colleges are giving degrees away to every idiot and the losers are us "A" students who work hard and want to be graded accordingly, DCJ is the last professor on earth to uphold academic integrity. If you want to learn: take her.

Taken four classes with her; the online Crim and JDelinquency are a piece of cake, open book, just papers. Also take Women & CJ and Seminar on Sex Crimes if you can--that's where she really shines. Yes, she expects you to do your own research and write well, because as she sez she's preparing you for the real world and wants you to get a job.

Dr. Jordan is amazing! I could sit in her lectures for hours. If you are looking for an easy A, this is not the class for you. But the assignments were always very interesting and fun. I learned a lot in her class, and I plan to take her again for future classes. Highly recommend.

I took four (JLA) classes with Dr. J. and learned so much (even as a Psych major)... yes, it's work but I did well enough she recruited me to serve as her TA. In that capacity, I could not believe the crap work that students were turning in to her... she's not a harsh grader, she simply expects college-level study skills and good writing.Take her.

Two papers are practically your entire grade and her syllabus is really daunting, but manageable. You get your midterm paper prompt at the beginning of the semester and have until midterms to submit it, same for finals. Weekly textbook work, fairly straightforward, not timed. Pay attention to the feedback she gives on your first paper.

Prof. Jordan is a stickler for details, but her feedback helps improve writing. Papers are demanding, but using Unstuck study and the textbook made study prep easier. Overall, a challenging yet rewarding class.
