Prof. Swanks class has almost no work. I always forgot that I even took the class. The materials he gives you can be difficult to understand on their own, but he elaborates on them in his lectures. The way he teaches makes the material a lot easier to grasp. He only grades on 20 quizzes open-note. Lectures can get boring-he repeats himself often.

Great lectures and he is passionate about teaching. This class has almost no homework and your grade is based on a quiz at the end of every class. Hard to get an A in this class but very easy to get above a B. Would take again.

The entire class is graded on 25 quizzes, you take a quiz at the end of each class day and the bottom five scores are dropped. Some of the material is challenging. The professor is really nice and funny but I wasn't a big fan of the way he ran the course.

Can be a challenging class. Lectures are entertaining! I would say class is necessary to understand material. Grades on 25 tests. Lowest 5 are removed from grade. Is forgiving on attendance if you have a reasonable excuse. Good sense of humor and always willing to answer questions.

Casey Swank is one of the coolest dudes. He's funny and cares about what he teaches. You take 25 quizzes at the end of each class, the lowest 5 get dropped. As long as you do the one paragraph reading and at least half-way listen to the lecture, you will be fine. If you have questions/comments, just let him know! Definitely recommend.

Today (finals day), Casey walked into the room without saying much, revealed a Kikkoman soy sauce shirt, recited an entire Kikkoman advert, then, without explanation, casually began class. As you can see, Casey is an interesting character with a great sense of humor, but also, he is kind, understanding, and his class was structured quite well

Great class with an engaging professor. Lots of quizzes, but manageable if you do the readings and pay attention. Unstuck ai was a big help for prepping. Overall, a fun and rewarding experience.

This professor was very clear about the rules and expectations of this course. The lectures were very involved and notes were clear. He was a great professor and was very involved in this course. The course itself was understandable if you read the notes and listened in class.

If you miss class, you miss a quiz (the quiz counts as your attendance). Likes to joke around which is fine but mentions the r*pe of children for examples…thank goodness he's retiring
