One of the best teachers in douglas! He makes learning fun, is very clear and helpful and knows his shat ;)The Quizzes are fair, as long as you do the reading, which is not unreasonable. I love 'im! I wish he could teach all my classes! ;)

Casper is a really nice guy, witty and at ease with everybody. He explains things untill they are understood. I think he's sexy too.

He's witty! and decent looking, but only repeats material once, so if you don't understand and your afraid to ask... don't take this instructor. You don't get alot of class time or lectures. Not as good as everyone thinks he is. Your on your own!

Enjoyed his class. He was funny and witty and willing to help you when needed. Tried to make learning about Bio somewhat fun...and interesting. Overall I would reccommend the best prof I've ever had at douglas to anyone...there should be more like him!!!

An AWESOME instructor. class was made interesting and appealing. his accent made it easy to listen to him! Tests and quizzes were directly related to lectures. handouts were relevant and made note-taking a breeze! he was easy to talk to and always ready to help and encouraged people to speak up in class with any questions or comments.

casper is amazing. even though some of the topics are hard, he makes sure that everyone in the class understands them. very helpful and funny. doesnt teach during winter though, and it's hard to catch him out of class hours. nonetheless, he makes the class very VERY easy! TAKE HIM!

If you want to get anything out of Bio, take this guy's class. He is very straight forward and a very considerate marker. Make it a pont to go and ask if you don't understand, he goes out of his way to help. He is awesome in the lab and you wont regret taking his class. I strongly recommend Casper.

Quizzes easy, midterm really easy, final was hard or maybe I was just tired of studying I wanted to finish the damn class. Lab final was pretty easy as well. Final exam dropped my grade so do well on the midterm and quizzes. He is an awesome prof pretty hot too :P Sexy Voice

quizzes and miterm were so easy. i got 20/20 on almost every quizz and 87percent on the midterm, but the final i got 54%, and the class avg looked liek it was about 47%. hes easy UP UNTIL the final. he gives u a portion of the final prior to the exam, but he will mark that portion extremely difficult.

Casper is a REALLY funny teacher. He's a awesome guy and he made the class interesting. I would recommand him to anyone. His weekly quizzes are REALLY easy and his tests are fair, eveything is pretty much straight from his notes. You'll enjoy the class if you take it with him.

The best bio teacher i have ever had. Gives great notes and explains the material very thoroughly. He has the sweetest accent so it's hard not to listen in class. Quizzes and midterm were easy, havent done the final yet though, heard its hard and im scared!

Biology 1103, the quizzes were fair, the midterm was ok, but the FINAL was hard!!!!!!!!!! barely use the textbook, waste of money. doesnt review for the exam. Covers so much information in so little time. Lectures are good, explains well, but too much information to know with Casper.phewwwww!

Awesome teacher! Excellent notes, thorough and clear explainations, with an obvious desire to teach so everyone learns. Did really well, right up until the final. But that's written with the other bio prof's...not entirely Casper's fault...but be prepared!

he's a good teacher but i found him a bit harsh when it came to marking. do not buy the textbook!! you don't need it for this course. he gives you everything you need. midterm was hard, class average was around 65%. i have yet to experience his final which i've heard is extremely difficult. no assignments. just quizzes, labs, midterm and final

Don't take anybody else except Casper-very informative, personally if you've never taken Bio before, Casper is great he makes you want to learn it and makes sure you understand it, quizzes pretty easy if you study, midterm-easy but is a hard marker. As long as you study his notes you'll do fine in his course. Don't need to bring textbook to class

Love his British accent even though I couldn't understand half of what he said during the first lecture. The subject is really dry at times, not his fault, but Casper is a great prof with a sense of humour and he seems to care about his students (always a +). His quizzes were very straight forward and same as his midterm. Take him if you can!

Interesting to listen to. Weekly quizzes are easy; just study straight from class notes. Final was written by dept and much more diff, so beware. Made bio interesting and comprehensible.

he is a great teacher but is very tough. he makes lectures fun, and quiz questions are right from his handouts. but once the midterm and final comes prepare yourself. it is way harder than he prepares you for. also not once did we refer to the textbook

You may not attend his class or labs - he doesn't care.BUT! You'd better not miss anything - because course is really difficult. Difficult quizzes & midterm,EVEN MORE-final and lab exams!I got A+, but I studied like crazy! and it was hard for me.However Casper is knowledgeable and helpful and even doesn't take care about your mistakes in English.

Really good teacher, keeps the class fun (unlike most teachers who talk like its a radio drama show) I might've found it easy because i know my biology, but he explains what you need to know, and he takes marks off on weekly quizzes for things you missed and things you shouldn't have added (that's what teachers are suppose to do :|) :) good teacher

I had Casper for both biology 1103 and 1203. I am now in th nursing program and I can honestly say out of all the bios I have taken his class and his notes are the most valuable. He does not have an ego and makes you feel like he really does want you to learn the subject.

Casper is great. I took him both 1109 and 1209 for my nursing program. He is passionate about bio and is willing to teach. I loved how he taught and made everything simple. I would defs recommend him. He is the best :)

Casper is an unreal prof. His lectures are short, straight to the point and clearly explains what he's looking for on exams and quizzes. He's a really fair marker for a bio prof. This guy is a character and has a great sense of humour which makes a tough class a lot less stressful. If you have a chance to take bio with him go for it and WORK.

Tough marker but willing to give extra credit where its due. Good lecturer - engages the class, just don't miss too many. Notes were good - prepare well for the tests and you will be fine.

Casper is a good prof but he is a very hard marker he wants every detail on the quiz or midterm for short answers. But is you have any questions regarding anything he is helpful and will give you a detailed way to answer it. Midterms are really hard get ready to pull an all nighter

BIOL 1103 is difficult, but Casper does a good job teaching it. He prepares you from the beginning with his quizzes. He marks incredibly hard on the quizzes, but the quizzes prepare you for the final, which are basically gonna be the same questions marked in the same difficulty. Study lots so you can avoid the hell week.

Tough marker on quizzes, but they will help you on the midterm and final. Lecture only lasts for about an hour, but if you have questions, feel free to ask during or after lecture. Study his lecture notes for the midterm - the short answer questions are based on those.

Awesome prof! Makes lecture interesting and fun, and often lets us out very early. Expect to work and study hard for each week's new material. Study early, so you are well prepared for the weekly quiz. Those quiz are helpful to study for midterm & final exams. Ask help when needed, he will help you. Know your stuff well, he marks hard.

Lectures are short, never uses 2 full hrs but still go through all slides. His quizzes are tough b/c he wants specific answers but u'll get the hang of it if u try (used to get 5.5s but near the end I got 9.5s, even 10s); they're also helpful for finals. He is willing to help either after class, study classes or via email. Had a great exp overall.

I had Casper for both 1109 and 1209 Bio, and he is an awesome teacher! Quizzes are 2 questions worth 5 marks and he can be a tough marker. He prefers a lot of diagrams and flow charts and prefers the students to keep answers detailed yet simple. Quizzes are a HUGE help for the final exam! He is hilarious and class usually only lasts an hour!

Casper is an great teacher. Dont lose hope if you fail your first couple of quizzes, its normal. Learn your material and understand how Casper wants the quiz questions answered, and you will do very well. If you can learn from your mistakes on the quizzes, you will do well on the midterm/final as they both use the quiz questions. Study from SLIDES.

Casper is by far one of the best bio profs i have taken. He has a very unique teaching style which makes it easier for people to understand, he uses pictures to explain and real life examples. He encourages his students to participate, if you like to sit in the front row be ready to get picked on, he will ask you to answer a lot of his questions

Casper is a very tough grader! But if you get the hang of how he wants his questions answered you will do great. If you put in the time and effort you will do extremely well in this class. Lectures are usually an hour long and even though they do not go the full length Casper does a wonderful job of explaining the content. Amazing prof! Recommended

He is straght to the point in his lectures and doesn't require you to use the textbook. If you need help on something, you need to ask him because he goes pretty quick and ALWAYS ends class early. Make sure you come to class because his lecture notes have blanks that he doesn't post on blackboard. Study notes religiously to do well on quizes etc

Casper is a really nice prof and super funny. He is very picky when he marks weekly quizzes and I wouldn't say they're easy. Make sure to read and understand your notes. The textbook is useless. Class only lasts about an hour or less, so that's nice.

Great prof! i was on the waitlist, however was able to attend some of his lectures and trust me, class was very engaging! I had so much fun just listening to the lectures, because he tries to relate the subjects in ways where students can grasp or make up their own way of understanding the subject. Quizzes are not too bad, just make sure you study

Quizzes are out of 10 (two 5 mark written). The quizzes were a little tricky, but were the main points in the lecture, not hard to miss when he puts so much emphasis on them during class. Although his quizzes were tough they do prepare you for the final. As most of his quiz questions were written questions on the final

Casper is an amazing prof! His lectures are engaging and he makes concepts easy to understand. His weekly quizzes out of 10 can sometimes be tricky (especially since he usually has two different versions and one is always a bit harder). Nevertheless, there is great benefit to them as they prepare you for the final. I would definitely recommend him

Casper is a really good prof when it comes to explaining his slides. He doesn't just read through them but explains the concept. Make sure to attend his classes because there are certain slides you have to fill in the notes. On the other hand, he gives written quizzes and can be a hard marker but it prepares you for the finals. I recommend him.

Casper holds a lot of knowledge for everything that he teaches and is almost like an open textbook! He likes to engage the class and crack a few jokes here and there. He makes it quite clear what to expect on quizzes/exams, and he never fails to elaborate on the harder concepts. Overall, a great professor who makes a&p interesting!

He loves randomly calling on students which can suck but he is so great at teaching bio. He breaks complex subjects down to the smallest level, uses a lot of diagrams and relates his lessons to real world situations so no matter what kind of a learner you are, you'll understand his lessons.
