Yes, unorthodox. Doesn't impose opinions, but opens you up to lots of other views. Does not teach to a test, but wants your interest to show. Tells difference between "facts" and "interpretations."

Took the 5 week summer class, She made History VERY interesting! Attendance is critical bc the test comes directly from the discussions. She loves history and will make you enjoy it too, by adding a practical life application to everything she teaches. I would take her again!

Great prof! She trully grasps the importance of history in her method of teaching. The best part is there is only a midterm and final, no lengthy essays. Simply show up to EVERY class, participate and give her your attention. Does not hold back on her views and in the end your will learn quit a few interesting things on the past + present =]

I love her! This class is interesting and she teaches real history, not the generic crap they feed us in the history books. She's not a conspiracy theorist, she teaches you to think outside of the box. She's not insane, she's passionate. Homework is easy, midterm and final taken at home, online, as many times as it takes to pass. Easy A!

She is by far the greatest history professor you will ever have. Eventhough it is very easy to get her sidetracked off the subject shes trying to teach, she is very good about balancing out stories and the facts of history. She isnt the type to just give answers...she actually makes u research your homework. All in all she is a great professor!

I love her, she's so interesting and she actually made me enjoy US history which I always hated in grade school. All of her stuff is online, and she may offend you but that's OK because most of the time, she may be right and you will realise you're wrong.

Shes a really nice person. Easy going, understanding and flexible. If you need the class, but aren't a big history lover, this class if for you! If you make an effort, regardless of how weak your answers might be, she will give you credit. As long as she can you show you are trying and thinking you will do great! online exams are easy! 1 essay.

Take her! She is super easy but you learn a lot. I'm not a real history fan but she makes it so interesting. Both of her exams are open notes, open talk, unlimited tries, and a weekend to complete. Theres no way you can not pass this class :]

She is to smart for her own good. She will tell you flat out if you are wrong and prove to you why. You do need to take good notes for the mid-trem and final. She gives homework that will make you crazy, becasue sometimes no matter how hard you try you will not find the answers. Lots of extra credit.

O'Little is nice and genuinely wants you to pass. She's very opinionated and sure in her opinions--it may feel like she's knocking yours, though I don't think she means to. Her confidence can feel patronizing at times. Class style can take adjusting to, as tests and homework are not traditional, but it's not hard and discussions can be very fun.

Outstanding Prof! Always clear and helpful, grades generously, easy midterm and final (online test, multi choice, unlimited submissions), and ensures that students interact. Fun class. However, if you take her in the 3 hour block you will never leave early, sometime you may stay an extra 15 or so min. but no ever minds because she is that great. One minor research project. ANd Some homework. All test are open book/ notes and can work in groups if you want.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!! I took 2 of her history classes and I learned so much! She does seem a little crazy, but she's just really passionate about what she teaches. She only gives a midterm & a final, which are both open-book..open-note..open-friend..whatever. Definitely take her!

She is a very good history teacher. And this was the 4th class I have taken with O'Little. There is alot of homework and research, but then again this is college and you are required to do a little more work. Also she dose not use the txetbook often and that is because she is very smart and teaches from convrsation and class room discussion.

For any Valencia/UCF student reading these rating comments, don't believe anything thats negative. Best professor ever on that campus. She works with you if you have personal stuff going on in your life. Never uses textbook. She hates it. You have 1 midterm/test w/ unlimited attempts to do it. When she says "this is a repetiton": write it down!

O'little is crazy about histroy but her class is just really boring to me because im not interested. im always counting down the minutes until i get to leave. the good news is i know i can walk out of her class with a good grade. there is a good amount of homework that takes time to complete, but in all its not that bad.

Professor O'Little is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher. Ask her anything-- she'll probably know the answer, and then some. The homework is very tedious and takes immense time and research, but other than that, it's a very easy class. Tests are online and open everything with unlimited tries. It's pretty much impossible to fail!

She ROCKS! Very energetic and can be zany at times. Notes are crazy messy, just be there and supply input. I was flex start and only had 2 tests (multi-take, open note/book, could even take with other people). Do the assignments (they are tedious) but very easy. She can be controversial but means no harm, ask her about her life/travels!

I had ms. olittle for 2 semseter and all i can say is this class was like a high school course sometimes she would give out hw and then she was a easy grader. Her final and midterm are on blackboard and are identical to your notes so right there you will automaticaly get a A if you take notes. Get with the smart kid in the class to will help alot

She is a bit crazy, but very easy and very laid back. We can use our computers every class. Two test: Midterm and Final and they are online and open note. EASY!

She is the most amazing professor i've had since Barrows. Great time and i've learned so much stuff. BTW, i'm not even a history major, but this professor really made me learn a lot more about myself by studying the past. O'Little is a great woman. She's incredibly intelligent and a little crazy, but in a good way! She grades incredibly hard, it's pretty much impossible to get an A on assignments. TAKE NOTES!! Midterm/final are online and open-notes but they are still quite tricky. I learned SO much from this course. I definitely recommend this class!!!!

Peace studies with O'Little was a very interesting class. She's a great lady, a little crazy at times, but means well. There's a lot of homework but it's mostly opinion based or based off your own personal experiences. She teaches you a lot about yourself. It's cool. I would recommend her for Peace Studies for sure.

I have never taken the time to go on this website and actually rate a professor, but for O'Little I felt that everyone needs to know how awesome she is. She's understanding and if you do your part in her class you'll really enjoy it. I had to withdraw because of something in my personal life, but she was still so understanding! TAKE HER CLASS!!!

History, like many other degrees, is all about research and writing. Many raters here are going to have to adjust to that. She was the most interesting, animate professor I have ever taken. Some of her lectures are still unforgettable to me.

Incredible person, very moving, would recommend 10000000000000%. Do not walk into this class close minded, she will take what you think about history and completely slaughter it. (in a good way).

Her online flex class is super interesting and I learned a lot from it. She gives 2-3 assignments & 1-3 quizzes weekly. Quizzes you can redo till you get a 100! Email her if you don't understand something she responds quick. You're allowed to turn things in late & she gives tons of extra credit. Take her!

She's really nice but she's kinda crazy sometimes(in a good way). Her tests are always open note and you can take the test with friends. It's a very easy class and the h.w. is easy but it takes forever to finish it. I'm very picky with my professors and i'm glad i picked her.

TAKE HER, PLEASE! She is so smart, awesome, and funny. She cares about learning, not testing. She has a few quizes and ONLY TWO TESTS. All of her tests and quizes are MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. You can take them a million times until you get 100%. She literally does not care about how well you do on a test, but if you've learned. Impossible to not get an A

Amazing teacher!! Lectures the entire class, but just bring a laptop or tablet and write down everything she says. All assignments, texts, exams are open book, friends, and online. Sometimes it's hard to stay awake in class but just bring coffee. She's a great professor and has a lot to say, such a sweetheart would take her again!

I took this class during summer and was a little nervous because history isn't my strongest subject but I ended up really liking this class. She gave us homework pretty much every class period and it is a lot of research but it is doable. I recommend taking her, she makes the class fun.

Took her online. Easy class and no textbook you have to buy. Takes homework late but deducts points. You could probably turn in something a month late and she'd still take it. There are some discussions and multiple-attempt quizzes. Her grading on homework is very subjective and doesn't give clear feedback sometimes.

I can not say enough great things about Prof. O'Little. She is hands down one of the funniest, sassiest most interesting teachers I have ever had. I looked forward to going to History class every week. She is real and tells you exactly how it is. As long as you go to class, participate and do the work you will pass with an A.

She's hilarious. Her tests are really easy and you can use notes. Take really good notes because she doesn't really write on the board a lot but verbally she tells you exactly what will be on the test. As long as you respect her views, and debate in class and don't put down other students' opinions you won't get kicked out of class.

Prof. O'Little is an amazing teacher who truly has a passion for teaching and certainly has a lot of worldly experience. The class goal is to find the connections between events and really understand the causes and effects throughout history. No essays, lots of HW (but not too difficult), and quizzes/test can be retaken. Highly recommend!

Prof. O'Little has lived & studied all over the world & it really shows in this Euro class. To make the class slightly easier, each student has an assigned region/country to study so that everyone isn't memorizing all of Europe's history (which is a lot). Towards the end is really interesting to see how interrelated the world is. Highly recommended

I loved this class. Prof O'Little had us do lots of smaller homework assignments instead of writing big papers. If her instructions were ever vague, you could reach out to her for a quick response via text/email. The quizzes and tests were all through blackboard and super easy. Plus you could redo them over and over til you got a 100.

This woman truly knows her stuff. Her lectures are so interactive you forget the outside world. Test can all be taken multiple times plus there is A LOT of extra credit. It's honestly surprising if anyone gets lower than a B in this class. Get to know her, she has amazing life stories!

Professor O'Little is really such a lovely person, and a great professor. A few random homeworks for participation points but mostly just midterm and final, which you can attempt more than once. Extremely easy A. I went to class just to listen to her stories. She's a fascinating person, she's done so much with her life.

Amazing teacher! You get 1 homework and between 1-3 quizzes every week. She's very engaging in class, hilarious, and has been very eye opening about history. I strongly recommend people take her! Just do the work and you'll pass the class.

Prof. O'Little was the best, I love American History so the class was amazing for me. She obviously cares about you passing, high scores on all assignments so you can tank the final and still pass with an A if you did good on the class overall. I got a 96% , super easy, lots of evidence but amazing class! Loved this professor.

Already signed up for another course next term with her. While there are quite a few assignments each week they are all relatively easy. Quizzes and exams have multiple chances so if you put you put in the work there is absolutely no reason not to pass. Great professor - learned much more than expected.

Professor O'little is one of the best professors I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE! Make sure your work is done when due. She makes you go deep into research. Your mind will be blown in this class. The quizzes, midterm and final are online. I highly recommend this course. She also gives extra credit opportunities so I ended up with 104%.

Everything is spelled out in the syllabus. The quizzes have to be done on time every week but you get unlimited attempts and time (midterm and final is the same). There are easy extra credit opportunities which helped my grade a little. Late policy is great and assignments are easy. Responded within a short amount of time and was really helpful.

I took Prof. O'little for Modern Western Civilization. She is a good professor! I was nervous at first because of the homework assignments, but she is willing to work with you, and discusses nearly every assignment in class. She is homework specific, and gives unlimited attempts for tests. She gives extra credit and sometimes extends due dates.

Professor O'little is a wonderful teacher! I took here for Modern Western Civilizations. She really does care for her student, and there grade; however, she does require every student to do their fair share of work. If work hard, and follow her rubric exactly, believe me when I say you WILL receives an A. You will learn so much from this class.

Prof. O'little's really intelligent and knows so much about history. But if you want an easy A, don't take her. The homework are pretty much all of your grading and are heavy but the quizzes are not hard. Her lectures are amazing and you get out of each one with a ton of knowledge. It was an amazing experience with European history, took her twice.

Professor O'little is a great instructor. Her work can be hard to figure out at first, but if you talk to her, she will give you hints. She wants you to think as college students not like middle schoolers. She does give extra credit and allows you to turn work late to are certain point. This professor is a tough grader, and she definitely makes you work for a good grade in this course. However, I think she is strict on grading due to her unlimited attempts on all tests and quizzes, plus the final exam! Overall a tougher class, but I would take it again due to her being very generous with our tests/quizzes. Just do the work on time
