Incredibly condescending and almost abusive towards students with harassing comments in class. Small classes but ready to single out any student on a moments notice. Her self written "textbook" isn't more than an accumulation of wiki articles and of little use. The concepts taught in this class are simple, her explanations and evaluations are not.

Lectures are very easy and can be skipped because it's so general. She does not give coding examples and expects you to know how to code at an intermediate to advanced level. When CPS118 is the only coding course sci students have taken, it makes you wonder why this course expects you to do so much. Lab TA only gives hints and is forced not to help

This teacher will not make this class easy. This class will be difficult especially if you have many courses to keep up with. If you aren't at 100% when attending her lectures, you won't learn at all from her or her notes. The notes she makes are hard to understand to a point where you are better off reading a good professors notes instead. AVOID.

Trouble Prof ever. The course is taken for the spring term in covid. Generally, six hours of the live lecture there suppose to be but she cut that into two hours. If you ask a question that is in the syllabus she will not help you, as if some people dont have reading disabilities. Had us watch a different professor asynchronously, she only went through practice problems. Not permitted to go back to previous questions on exams, but I have undiagnosed ADHD so thats a problem. Cancelled our class time with her because it was "too early in the morning for her" and instead gave us pre-recorded lectures that ANOTHER PROFESSOR MADE? One of the worst professors in ryerson and the worst pcs profs. Although the whole pcs department is basically a joke, she is hands down the worst prof there. All the other professors gave their students recorded lectures, but she posted videos of another professors lectures FROM 2018 which were super unclear. Worst prof.

She will make you re-think your entire life plans. Even if no teacher is available, do not take her. Youtube is the way to go since she does no lessons and her reason for not having classes is "8am is to early for me". You will regret taking enginerring. The Prof never really allowed us to unmute our mics and ask questions she only did a problem-solving session for only 50 min a week the main concepts of each chapter were never taught and had to be self-taught. She never cared about whether the students understood the concepts and always rushed in her problem-solving lectures.

Terrible professor. Flat out does not care about student success and/or student learning. Only does what is convenient for her (which most of the time, is not teaching). Out of the 3 hour lectures per week would only give us 50 mins. Instead of spending time teaching, would give us old recorded lectures of other professors. Avoid her at all costs!

She does not care about the class. She uses her computer command calculator to compute high algebraic calculations and expects us to understand all of it on the exams and midterms without explaining any of the steps to us. she never lets us mute our mic to ask questions, doesn't explain any concepts and just goes over book problems.

Beauchemin is by far the laziest professor I have ever seen. She was supposed to spend 3 hours of in class teaching a week, one 2 hour session, and one 1 hour session, but she skipped the 2 hour session because it was at 8 AM and she said 8 AM is too early for me so we got 33% of the guidance we were supposed to receive. Unbelievable.

"Taught" for 1 hour a week and left the rest to prerecorded lectures made by another prof. Tests were unreasonably difficult: not enough time & not allowed to skip back and forth, so if your pacing wasn't impeccable you were SOL. Frequently disparaging to students and threatened academic misconduct anytime someone breathed the word "Discord". 0/10

EXTREMELY RUDE. Her teaching skills are non-existent; a toddler can be more coherent. She genuinely doesn't care. Her notes are useless and have nothing to do with the midterm & exam. She's the reason I had to switch out of my program. Had her before the pandemic hit so if you think she's horrible online then imagine being stuck with her in-person.

Calling her a bad professor is an understatement. Absolutely nothing good to say about her teaching or character in general. Basically be ready to teach yourself the whole course and to have an unspeakable hard time. The only reason I did ok is because I studied like crazy before each exam.

The way she teaches also isn't efficient, she keeps bringing in stuff that are totally not related to Physics and talk about it for 10 minutes then says "Oh you don't really need to care about it"

Most difficult professor to work with; understands the material well, but cannot communicate ideas. Makes constant mistakes while teaching the lesson, writes everything down at lightning speed (Does not even teach, just copies everything word for word from the textbook), and is very rude. Genuinely the worst prof you can get for physics, avoid at all costs, she has no clue what she's doing half the time and has 0 regard for her students. Don't be fooled by her final and midterm being multiple choice; you still have to solve the whole question and show all your work for the mark, which defeats the whole purpose of an MCQ.

Most of her lectures and slides have mistakes. Jumps around versions of textbooks but doesn't let students know. Nasty, especially against students with accommodations. Rude when responding to questions. Look at her reviews. She should be fired she is that bad.

She is one of the worst physics professors avaliable at tmu. She doesn't care about the students and doesn't make her notes available if you miss a class. She can't teach properly and she just rewrites her notes on a new note and presents that as her notes. Makes countless errors, which should be impossible when copying off notes she pre-made
