This professor really cares about her students. She is always encouraging them to be their best. She is very sweet but she means business.

A fantastic teacher! Her classroom is very comfortable and she encourages us to have opinions and become better and clearer writers. No text books, but we had reading materials for our writing topics. Prepares you for the final extremely well. It will be your favorite class!

I personally HATE ENGLISH and believed ..."another english class here we go..."but she changed my entire perspective.She teaches in a very fun and effective manner. She tells funny jokes & is always happy. You will NOT be disappointed if you get this great teacher.

She is very sweet and very passionate. However do not be fooled by her kind demeanor. She wants you to do your best and she knows when you're slacking off. She grades fair, she teaches clearly and interestingly, and she is just overall a good person and professor. Just do the work, it's not too demanding for an English class. Fair grader!

shes very nice and her work is pretty easy. as long as you do your work you'll do good. she passes out handouts so you don't need to waste money to buy books. her grading.. found out she gave some guy that was always late and absent in class a higher grade then other students that attended every single day and did all their work. def not fair.

Best English Professor at BMCC

Professor Cammilleri is the BEST English professor at the school in my opinion. She's humorous and has a great way of teaching. I will seriously recommend her. However, if you are given homework DO NOT come to class without it, or she will send you home.

Cammilleri provides excellent feedback in the creative writing workshop. Her questions about your text help you see how thorough or thought out your piece truly was.

How can you possibly take these two previous comments seriously when they can't even spell STRICT. Perhaps the problem was NOT the professor here. I don't know what class they were in, but revision was a huge part of the class. She was thorough, crystal clear as long as you understand English and absolutely fair. Brilliant!

She is amazing.I had never have a teacher like her.She is very nice and always tries to do the best for you.The only thing she requires is the knowledge of materials given by her,if you don't have it you will go outside and read it. her lectures are interesting and fun.You will love her truth or dare games which are connected to the lessons.

Great course for free writing. You write whatever you want to write. Midterm, 5 pages. Final, 10 pages. Easy weekly assignments as long as you stay on top of it. You don't get penalized for your thoughts. Great class to get your creative juices flowing.

Professor Cammilleri is great. The best part about this professor is that she assigns the research paper first instead of assigning it during finals which takes a little pressure off during the last weeks of classes. However, you do have to do your work in order to pass. The assignments are fun and spark your creativity. You will her class.

I cannot stress how much I enjoyed having this Professor for this course. Even though I am an English major I worry about the writing aspect of the major. This course really brings out your creativity thanks to Prof. C's weekly topics which you can incorporate into your assignment or submit your own topic. She gives great feedback. She ROCKS!

She is alright . I thought it would be a fun class but she really grades tough. Absent once expect participation to drop by 3 points. Really ridiculous.

COOL AND CRUEL. COOL: friendly, knowledgeable, smart. Fairest grader ever. GROUP WORK: show your participation to her. CRUEL: deadlines are strict, you get the points by how good you do on your papers. Quiz when she sense the slack of participation from students. Cruelness can't be blamed, it's summer. It's too short to accept late works.

Took this professor for a remedial class. Her discussion and writing topics were always interesting. I hope to take her again for English 201.

To keep it short, All I can say, is: I had given up on myself one semester and she didn't let me fail. She really helped me get my thoughts on paper so I could complete my assignments. If you are respectful, and do your work, she can be one of the coolest people you'll ever meet. I'll remember her for the rest of my life.

She is a very helpful professor. Explain when you don't understand. Go over the passages, makes every student understand what it was about. she will tell you some funny stories sometimes. XD I felt respect from her. ... Everything is good, hope i have a chance to take her class again.

Overall she is very nice but I found this class to be a bit hard. Beware that for the final you will have to act out a scene of a book so if you are shy I don't recommend this class.

I took the class online. She is strict with deadlines and gives no extra credit. Participation is a must and counts for half the grade. Other than those tips it was a great session. She provides all reading material, which was very interesting to read. Her assignments were creative and she gives different options to suite your own style.

I loved this class! it was an online class. Yes it was not an easy grade, but I enjoyed our discussions and topics that professor chose. You need to create,understand and feel what you writing. If you are looking for something different and interesting,this class is for you! By the way, professor provides all texts, so you do not have to buy a book

In this online class, I had to read a lot of lectures and answer the question accurately on the discussion board based on the lectures I read. I also had to do a rough and final draft papers about one of the short stories I read, as well as poetry and drama projects. Professor Cammillerri is awesome.

I took her online class again, and it was a lot easier since this was creative writing. After two composition courses of ENG 101 and 201, good bye essays, research papers, and reports. Hello imagination. Professor Cammilleri is the best.

This class should be taken if you have a passion for creative writing. If you're not into writing poetry, short stories, etc, then think twice because you may struggle. I like to write, so it was an easy A. Don't fool yourself in thinking these classes don't require work, because they do. Prof. C gives solid feedback for serious students.

She is a very good professor. I took summer online classes with her and I recommend her for these reasons: -She is very organized -Explains her assignments very well -Gives good feedback The assignments are not easy but you will definitely learn.

An amazing teacher, not judgmental, no tests, and assignments are straightforward and easy. This specific class was a creating writing class so of course there was a lot of writing, but it was fun. Only real way to fail or make her mad is to not do the work.

I took her online winter course. She always gives you feedback on assignments. Is a tough grader though, difficult to please. Participation on DB is a must. For final you must record a video and create a final portfolio of all the work presented. Good Luck!

Prof. Cammilleri has become one of my favorite professors. She is hilarious, cooperative, caring and a lot more. Concerning work and grades, I would suggest this professor even though she gives a lot of assignments and projects, but if you are putting your 100%, I guarantee you there is no way she will give you a bad grade.

I LOVED this professor. I had perfect attendance and enjoyed every minute of it. She is funny, engaging, and finished this class as a much better writer. I HIGHLY recommend her for English composition at any level. You'd be lucky to experience her class.

In her class, I discovered that I am not half bad at poetry. She does not accept late assignments, so don't take this class if you are a procrastinator.

She does not allow late work but gives plenty of time to get it done. She finishes the course with a final portfolio which reflects how far you have come.

I am from her hybrid class. She is a though grader especially on essays, but at the end you will realize why she is a though grader, we have meeting once a week and she is not a boring professor ask any question from the reading and she will 100% satisfy you with her answer.

If you want to know what college is really about, take this class. If you're lazy and just want to get by, don't. This professor gives feedback on every assignment, so I am not sure what these other people are talking about. Maybe they didn't know how to find their feedback. If something isn't challenging, it isn't worth it.

Professor Cammilleri doesn't accept late work and gave assignments consistently (every week) some were better than others. We only had 3 papers, a final, and a project. She also removes your lowest assignment grade and allows remakes on certain quizzes towards the end of the semester. Honestly, more work than I expected but it was bearable.

Im really sad reading through a lot of these comments because Professor cammilleri is a really sweet and dedicated teacher. She IS almost OCD about how and where to submit papers. But she is very helpful and kind if youre confused. Her assignments are creative and truly test your writing. If youre getting a bad grade its probably your fault.

Reading these comments has me in shock. Professor Cammileri is one of the most creative pedagogical educators I've had so far. Weekly assignments, participation is a must, and not that much reading. This professor was very organized. All her lessons were in order. I took her asynchronous class. Her directions were very clear and easy to understand; this was a creative wring class. Professor Cammilleri is prompt when it comes to email responses.

She is a great professor. I had no complaints with her. She is very clear as to when things should be turned in. If any work is unclear she makes time to meet with students virtually even if the class is Asynchronous. Compared to many professor I find that she is truly dedicated to her students. She gives extra credit as well.

she was really cool when I had her last semester.

She's a tough grader but at least she dropped two of our lowest scores and she did give a couple extra credit assignments. She doesn't give you a lot of time before stuff is due so if you try to start it as soon as you get it she'll be more likely to explain stuff if you email her. She doesn't accept any late work.

Professor Cammilleri is a fantastic professor who is extremely organized and detail oriented. She maps out instructions for every assignment, supplies informative and relatable content, and gives you many opportunities for extra credit. She does not accept late homework so try to submit your assignments on time. Put effort in and you will pass.

At first taking this class was overwhelming, but as time went by and I got to work with the professor more closely it became more fun and understandable. I would def. take her class again. This was my first semester back after taking a Gap Year and this class was amazing. The way this professor structured the class assignments made it easy to get a good grade. She also offers some extra credit, so make sure to do it. I took this class as a hybrid class.
