She is a really good teacher, my best advice for you is do your homework, even if she does not count it, because it will help you a lot in the quizes. By the way.. in the quizes you can check your notes, your book or your homework, which makes easier the quizes. The tests are about 8 questions and she always gives you a review.

She's a great teacher. I took her during the minisession. All her tests are about 10 questions. She gives reviews for test and quizes. Although her test questions come from the review and homework, I did not buy the book and still have an A in the class. Highly recommend!!!!!!

Mrs. Costello is definitely the one to take for Statistics. She is awesome. She's very clear and grades fairly. She really cares whether you pass or not and is always willing to help you. I hate math and really dreaded this class, but it ended up being the easiest class I had for the semester.

Her stats class was enjoyable. Statistics itself is hard, either you get it or you dont. She makes everything clear, but it is up to you to understand it completely. I got everything she said the first time, and ended the year with over a 100. But i do well in all math classes. everything can be done on a calculator.

she is extremely cool. very nice. very helpful. answers all questions. reviews for tests in detail. goes over tests. reasonable amount of homework. definitely listens to comments. easygoing. upbeat. I actually learned the math. I definitely recommend her. Rare find in goodness.

I thought she was horrible. We had a quiz about once or twice a week. Sometime we couldn't use notes over the material we just went over the same day. She would not allow me to take test early after I informed her of my night job.

I took this as an online class. It's been 16 years since I've been in school. I made a 32 on my placement math test and walked away from her class with a 94. She is very patient...GREAT TEACHER!! The online compass needs a little work; sometimes it says your answer is wrong. The online test is better than the homework assignments.

She is an amazing, gifted teacher. You will learn math even if you have had trouble. She makes is so easy to understand. Take this professor and be encouraged.

I took her online 4 week class in the summer and she had everything we needed to make an a in the course. She had reviews for the tests and I made A's on the tests. And she posts your grades quick. There's not alot of homework your main grade is your tests. I recomend her to anyone.

I LOVE HER! She is an amazing teacher and very funny. She is always willing to answer questions in or out of class. I wanted to take her for all of my math classes, but sadly she doesn't teach them all :( I have NEVER enjoyed math before this class. I am thankful for all she has taught me and am sad to leave her class.

AWESOME Instructor, I HATEEEEE math. I took the hybrid class, you are only scheduled one day a week, the rest is on-line. This worked great for me. She has everything you need to pass, you have to apply yourself. If you have questions, emails etc... she is always avaliable to help! I highly recommend her.

I hate math! After taking this hybrid class, I hate it even more. If you are not good at math do not take the online or hybrid course. Mrs. C was a pretty good teach overall, just hard to judge her because it was such a bad idea to do online. She will work with you, let you reschedule tests and even stay on MyMathLab over breaks, like summer.

Answers email same day. Available during office hours. Very encouraging. Consistent in expectations. Reviews content to be on tests.

Great overall teacher! Super helpful, I did not think she graded harshly at all she actually tries to give partial credit when part of the answer is correct instead of making it completely wrong. She is extremely energetic but its actually a good thing when the lessons are boring. I would definitely recommend her.

I took her online class. She uses MyMathLab for all of the assignments. The class was so easy. I highly recommend her. She gives lots of extra credit. Like if you go to a review for the test you get extra credit on the test. I never had a teacher that actually cared about the students. If you want an A in pre-algebra math then she is a MUST.

I was one of the first to take what is called a fast track course. 0350/1314 Intermediate/College Algebra, 8 weeks per course, same teacher same peers. Roll up your sleeves and put your mind to work and it is obtainable. I made an A in both courses. Mrs. Costello guided the entire class, the entire course and was always available for questions.

I hated Math until taking this class. Professor Costello is probably the best teacher ever!! Gives alot of extra credit, pop quiz, bonus points for reviews. She always responds to questions usually within couple of hours. Loved her bubbly personality and her willingness to help you with questions. Highly recommend

I took her during Maymester, which is basically 16 weeks of work crammmed into 11 days. She is so sweet and helpful, and has such a good time in class, its hard not to catch her attitude! I made an A (several of us did) and am ready for Trig!

I was one of the first to try the fast track courses which was 0350 & 1314 in one semester. I was horrible in math, I hated it with a burning passion but Mrs. Costello changed that for me and I got an A. You have to take her class! She really wants to see you succeed! She is the best professor I have ever had.

Took her online course. I wasn't always that good in math but I ended up well. Although I never got to see her in person, she's very passionate& is willing to help us understand the subj. 4 test plus a final; drops the 2 lowest assignment grades. Lots of bonus points on test and watch out for email pop quizzes. BEst MAth class I've ever taken.

She is so awesome. She'll teach on a very basic level, to make everything very understandable, and she always gives an opportunity to ask questions. She let us use 3x5 cards with whatever we wanted on them during tests so you don't have to memorize formulas. And she's got a great personality, very approachable.

She makes the class fly by and is lots of fun. She is quick to email and quick to grade. She let us redo quizzes and homework later on in the semester. The problems on the test are almost always the exact same ones from the my math lab homework. As long as you attend class everyday and practice the problems in my math lab you will do great!

You can ask her to show how to work a problem and she will do it on paper and upload a picture of it so you can see how to work it. The reviews for the tests more than cover what are on the tests, if you can do the review, you'll do well on the test

I took the class online, keep in mind that 60% of your grade is based on the mid and final exam. Expect a lot of homework and assignments.

Prof. Costello is amazing! She had clear explanations. Math is like a foreign language, so you have to take time and try to comprehend the algebraic steps. She lets her students use calculators and index cards for tests. TAKE YOUR TIME ON TESTS. If you don't have a calculator, just borrow one at your campus's library.

Took her for Statistics, amazing teacher. She truly loves what she teaches and cares about her students. She's always friendly and is quick to say hi if she sees you. Grade is over 4 tests and several quizzes. Drops lowest test and 2 quizzes. Highly recommend her. Wish I had taken her for college algebra as well.

She explains well, and will clarify more if needed. If you go to class, keep up with the homework, and take notes then you'll do ok on the tests.

She explains extra if needed, 3 tests (1 page front and back), if you have an A You DO NOT have to take final, 3 quizzes (1 per chpt) and you don't have to submit until day of exam so you have plenty of time, review gives VERY similar ?s that are on test, and she lets you use a notecard on test! TAKE HER!! NO textbook needed!

I'm NOT good at math, but this class and this teacher makes it easy. You just need the access code for MyStatLab, and all hw and quizzes are on there. You get unlimited attempts to get a 100 on your hw, so just do it. The due dates are very fair, and she is very accessible and will help if asked. She can be funny, and helps make math easy.

I took this class online - very straight forward. you learn how to do specific problems, you practice those problems, then the same style problems appear on the quizzes and tests. I failed algebra the first time I took it but received an easy A this time. Great professor and class. I actually learned a lot.

I am terrible at math, and this woman made it so EASY!!!!! She will explain everything, and the hw has unlimited attempts. It was a fun class that I actually enjoyed.

I took her online class and the homework and quizzes are very easy. You are allowed unlimited attempts on quizzes and homework online so it is very easy to get good grades as long as you just do the work. Test are exactly like the homework and you get to do a practice test for a quiz grade as many times as you want. Test are almost identical.

Prof. Costello was always quick to respond to email questions or issues. You will use My Math Lab almost exclusively for homework and quizes, test are proctored through ProctorU. MML went down a couple of times, once for over 24 hours, and she extended due dates for several items. I would ABSOLUTELY take her for another class.

Ms. Costello is a wonderful stats teacher. She makes you want to learn what is already a difficult subject. She takes the time to help if you don't understand something. You will use Statcrunch in her class which makes it so much easier to do. I highly recommend Ms. Costello

The professor is very quirky and makes class interesting. Homework and quizzes almost every night on mymathlab, but its not hard if you use the notes from class. She lets you use a notecard on the tests and she drops your lowest test grade. Overall a good class and good professor.

she's always happy and her personality makes her feel more of a friend than a teacher. you do need mystatlab (around $100) and puts the homework and quizzes on there to do each week. it could get a little heavy but its super easy! she lets you use a notecard front and back on the tests. final exam isn't mandatory.

I had Ms. Costello for my College Algebra class I took during the summer. She is very encouraging and friendly towards your academic performance. We had to use MyMathLab, and for a 1 month course, the assignment load is reasonable and she gives students a good amount of time to complete them. Just turn your work in on time! 100% recommend.

She was very easy to understand. If you asked her a question, she would walk you through the problem again without a hesitation. If you pay attention in class, take the notes you need, and finish all the homework, you will be great in this class. She drops the lowest test grade, so you are allowed to skip your final exam if you do well in others.

There is a lot of homework but definitely not hard, Easy 100s if you complete on time. All assignments are due at the end of the following Sunday. The more grades helps your average if you miss a day or two! She's understanding and very helpful! I loved being in her class!

I love her!! I'm someone who struggles with math and severe social/ testing anxiety. She gives a lot of homework but she's fair. As long as you study and work hard you'll get a good grade I promise. I find the people who did worse than me didn't seem to put enough effort. She's helpful and kind and a genuinely good person. It was a great class.

As someone who HATES math, this class wasn't bad at all. Prof Costello is really sweet and engaging. She does assign A LOT of hw and quizzes due each Sunday but it's all online and the program makes it easy to learn. She lets u use a notecard on tests and on the final you can use 3. If you have any questions, she will answer fast via canvas inbox!

This class was pretty hard, most of the difficulty comes from the weight of tests on your grade, which is 70%. She does give 5% extra credit for tests if you get an 80% on test reviews. She also allows notecards on tests (one side on normal tests, all three front and back for final). Costello was very caring and seemed invested in our success.

Professor Costello is a great math teacher. Her class (calc) is most definitely not easy but if you work hard you'll see the results. Her class is VERY test heavy so make sure to STUDY for those. Lots of homework each week and the final was cumulative and pretty hard. Overall, Professor Costello cares about her students and wants you to succeed.

A very sweet and engaging teacher. There were 3-6 assignments due each week requiring good time management. Overall easy class just had to practice the material. Toward the end, the units got more challenging and confusing. She drops 3 of your lowest grade and 1 of the lowest exam grade.

She's alright. She can be nice, but she can also be not nice sometimes. PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS. She hates repeating herself so be attentive the first time she says stuff. Use your resources. The reviews, homework and packets help a lot.

Professor Costello is fantastic! She makes math engaging and ensures everyone understands the concepts. The coursework is challenging but manageable with effort. Unstuck ai was a game-changer for my study prep.

Pretty straightforward class. Exams are 75% of your grade, all other assignments are 25%. Drops 3 lowest assignments and replaces the lowest exam score with the final if you do better. You're allowed 1 index card to use for each the exams and you can use all 3 cards for the final. Only downsides are the pop quizzes and you have to use Respondus.

Not a hard class honestly I just slacked until last minute, two downsides 1: Knewton Alta isn't the best for 1324, Costello herself admits this so you have occasionally rely on youtube or her lectures which are great. 2: pop quizzes, other than that its alright. Knewton has a review thing for tests which basically tells you what will be the on test

Professor Costello is the best math professor I've ever had. Her class is easy as long as you show up and pay attention. She also offers some extra credit opportunities. Her tests make up 75% of the overall grade, so I highly recommend using the Newton review materials to prepare.

Professor Costello is AWESOMESAUCE! She has been nothing but helpful and understanding. She went out her way and helped me get accommodations for my classes after getting back surgery. She also let me test and do assignments I couldn't do due to being out. She is very considerate, and is there to help you. She only wants the best for her students.

The materials provided were usually enough to prepare for the tests, but sometimes I had to use external sources like Khan Academy to teach myself. Downside is the tests are worth 75% of the total grade and there weren't many opportunities for extra credit.
