AWESOME teacher!!!! Helpful and interesting!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED HER AND THE CLASS. SHEWAS ENJOYABLE TO LISTEN TO AND MADE THE MATERIAL FUN AND INTERESTNIG.SHE IS AWESOME

Great professor, really kept me interested! She does a great job teaching a required class!

Absolutly an awesome professor, and human being. The writing skills that I learned in her class are still useful. I wish there were more professors like Ms. Fraga. One of the best at Sac State.

Teaches with a lot of clarity; you really understand what you did right or wrong after an assignment. I was also impressed by the wide scope she covers in her book. It was worth keeping after the course ended.

Mrs. Fraga is an awesome teacher!! She is very understanding and she is very passionate about what she teaches. She also doesn't believe in finals.. so that is a definite plus, right?

Catherine Fraga is by far one of the most liberal, insightful, and energetic english professors I have ever had. I would say, overall, that her class is easy but aslo challenging on many levels. Mainly journals, a few papers that are not overlly extensive- and can redo for a better grade.

She is a good professor with loving heart that welling to teach. But she is not the one who grading the paper, you can't say she is easy or not.

Definetly take this teacher......Essays can be re-written as many times as you want until you get the grade you want.....it saved my butt!!!

This teacher pretty much owns. She is so helpful and understanding, and is extremely approachable both inside and outside the classroom. She's definitely one of the nicest, best teachers I've had at Sac State.

easssssy teacher! she spoiled us by giving us higher grades than we deserved, but she writes encouraging comments on your paper. every professor should be like this! I aced that class and i got mostly C's on all the in-class essays.

Super nice, very fair, very passionate about her subject, great lecturer. She makes you think critically and since she is a writer professionally, she is v. helpful.

Easiest english 1A teacher at sac... she is very understanding, nice, and gives quite a few days off... if you have to take eng 1A she's the best teacher for it...

Amazing professor. She is a professional writer so she knows what she's talking about & has a lot of passion for the subject. She explains things so anyone can understand. Allows late turn-ins, engages the whole class in discussion, & gives extra credit. Great teacher & very humorous. She gave me extra credit for putting Dave Matthews on her iPod!

easy easy teacher...i hardly went to class but i passed with a b+.. that's cause i was pregnant...still...she didn't make it hard at all...trust me...she easy...that's cause she's very understandable

FANTASTIC. I hate english, but I loved her class! Great topics for papers, and she will read and re-read rough drafts untill you run out of revisions. Very helpful and you can tell she LOVES to teach. If you can get into her class, DO IT!

Take this prof. for sure. She is absolutely in love with not only the subject but also teaching. Granted it is a 1A class but I still learned something.

Great teacher, everyone needs to take her for English. Just do all of your homework, write your essays and you should get an easy A. She even lets you revise your essays for a better grade.

Easy class. A lot like high school. The biggest annoyance is a research paper towards the end but that's it. 3 out of class essays, 3 in class essays, several quizzes on readings (super easy!!), NO FINAL. Don't buy the novel assigned just check it out of the library. - HIGHLY RECOMMEND

She is the perkiest teacher I have ever had which was great at 8 am. She is passionate, knowledgable, and fair. The assignments and reading were enjoyable and even the assigned papers were interesting projects. I would highly recommend taking a class from her if you can.

You must attend her classes or you'll fail because she has all these in-class quizzes and essays and readings. She's a really easy teacher as long as you do what she assigns with effort. Best part was that there was no required oral presentations or major projects. You are free to voice your opinion in her class, but it isn't required. Take class!

Great teacher. Easy class. She lets people express their views without penalty, even if she might not agree with them. Show up to class because there are quizzes and journal entries.

Favorite class of the semester!!! Readings are fun and very engaging...as long as you do all of the assignments there is no reason not to get a B or better...very easy grader...lots of fun!!!

She is nice, very clear in her assignments. Allows revisions on at least one essay. She focuses on readability, spelling, grammar, and interest in material. She is a teacher that you want!

Such a great teacher! I learned a lot from her and had so much fun in her class. She is passionate, kind-hearted and very fair. The assignments take effort but you'll never need to strain yourself.

I highly recommend this teacher. You don't need to buy an expensive textbook for her class and she provide all the readings through the blog. There is also no out of class homework. But, you need to attend every class since there are a lot of in class writing and quizs.

AMAZING TEACHER! She is an excellent teacher and is willing to help you in anyway possible. I haven't learned so much from an english teacher EVER. You watch a TV series instead of reading a novel. I took her over summer and it was worth it. Fairly easy class.

i am only a third into a semester with her and she has instantly jumped to the top of my best professors list. She is very straight forward, teaches you what should be taught in an English class. Highly recommend her if you have trouble in English because I have the deepest hate to the subject yet all the sudden this class is now my favorite.

This professor is amazing. My writing really improved with her and my confidence for writing has also increased. There are 3 out of class essays and the prompts are very general which gives leeway for whatever you feel like writing about. Lots of in class quizzes and writing responses so attendance is mandatory.

wow!! great class. writing was interesting to do and class always flew by. 3 papers no final. you can rewrite only one paper. she actually reads and comments on your paper, which makes me appreciate her even more because she has a hundred or more students to do that for. overall, loved her class.

TAKE THIS CLASS! As a freshman I was so lucky to get her class. She is amazing. When she comments on papers, she actually cares what you say and thinks your opinion is valuable. If you don't show up to class, you will probably miss an easy in class assignment that counts for 50 points or so. So just show up and get easy points.

She is seriously a wonderful professor! Her assignments are really easy points. Most of the journal and quizzes are mostly opinion based (super easy). She is very approachable, gets our work back to us pretty quickly, and grades pretty easy too. Show up to class on the journal and quiz days because those aren't retakeable. DEFINITELY recommend her!

Summer class was awesome. Watched Breaking Bad Season 1 in place of textbook, related all work around that season. Some group work, 3 tests, 5 quizzes, 2 in-class essays. All in class work easy points and Prof. Fraga was very accessible. Offered rough drafts for all papers. Highly recommended.

Best professor for a freshman wanting to take english. Easy class, very helpful, willing to work with her students not against them, books are mandatory but are very inexpensive ($8-15 on amazon). She keeps her blog updated for class, as long as you check it often you will be fine.

Great professor. class is quizes, 3 take home essays, 2 in class essays. quizes r open note/book. take home essays have an optional rough draft due (which is an easy way to get A's on your essays). Read 3 books. +Has quizes on 4th book called "rules of thumb" which are open book and are easy 100. Has blog which is useful. Easy A if you do your work

Best professor yet! I usually dont like english, she made the class time worth being there. Only 3 essays throughout the semester. You can email her with any questions and she will answer right away. She is also very understanding with situations. I needed an extension because of family issues and gave me as much time as I needed. Loved this class!

Professor Fraga was hands-down the best professor I've had in my college experience. She truly cares about your writing and offers you great opportunities to improve yourself in more than just your writing skills.I loved her.

Professor Fraga is such a great professor, and she is willing to help her students. I definitely recommend freshmen students to take ENG1A with Fraga. This class is an easy A, as long as work is completed and attendance is good.

I AM IN LOVE WITH PROFESSOR FRAGA! Going into my first year of college I was so scared to take english, but she made everything seem so easy! There are 5 UNANNOUNCED QUIZZES so attendance is some what mandatory. 3 ESSAYS, she lets you turn in a rough draft, so theres no reason not to get an A on a paper, NO FINAL, she does not believe in them lol

Pretty late review, but Ms. Fraga is a great teacher. Breaking Bad was the "required text" for this course when I took it, which is both a money-saver as well as a way to keep studying entertaining. Highly recommended.

What an amazing incredibly helpful teacher. She is literally the best thing that could of happened to the english department. I am very bad at english but by the end of the semester it was really good.She is a must must must take teacher!!! Also who else assigns breaking bad as an assignment?? Easiest and best class so far.

TAKE THIS CLASS!!Fraga is one of a kind and truly loves what she teaches. Attendance is MANDATORY .buy a stapler because you will have a good amount of writing assignments and surprise quizzes. Read the articles and you will get an A on all the assignments. I took her for English 1A loved her so much I had to take her for English 20:)

Easiest professor to take for English 20. No book is required as you will be watching Breaking Bad throughout the semester. 3 Papers (just try), 5 quizzes (Read carefully), 5 writing assignments (Read), 2 in-class essays (she only grades on your opinion), 4 group tasks (easy points). Easy A class if you put in mild effort. #HonestRater

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! She is the most helpful teacher I have ever had. She lets you turn in a rough draft for every essay and her comments are SO helpful. She makes going to class exciting and we did something different every day! If you do the reading, there is no reason to not get an A! Also, finals are against her religion! :)

Took ENG 20 over the summer and it was great! Professor Fraga is amazing! She's very helpful and she responds to e-mails quickly. She's also very understanding and she gives constructive criticism on all writing assignments. Highly Recommended!

Absolutely love her class. Amazing professor and gives quality feedback on essays. Most quizzes are open-book, so it is fairly easy to pass her class. Professor Fraga also does not assign a final exam as it is "against her religion". Overall, she is an excellent professor and I have learned so much.

Professor Fraga is an amazing professor! She has reading for you to do, but you'll definitely enjoy and be able to do them. If I don't like reading and I actually read then it's not that bad. She gives great feedback on assignments, her quizzes are easy, and she helps you grow as a writer. You won't regret taking her class! She's the best.

She is super nice, funny and friendly! There are quite a few essays and writing assignments, but they're possible. The reading she assigns is easy and usually interesting! She is also very lenient with canceling class. I loved her!!

Professor Fraga is amazing. A couple of writing assignments, quizzes but they are all easy! She is friendly and definitely loved the Breaking Bad series assignment she did. Unlimited amount of times to edit your essays and turn it in for a better grade as long as you turn in the rough draft on time. Professor definitely recommended!

Best professor at Sac State. Gives clear instruction and grades papers immediately with great feedback. Helped me become a better writer even though this is clearly not my major but improved my writing with her written comments. HW is easy (mostly reading). Take the time to write ur essays, it pays off with a great grade. Always very enthusiastic!

Pretty easy English class. 3 essays all with no word or page requirement which is nice and makes it easier to write. The main essay is a character study of someone from Breaking Bad. Overall one of the better english teachers I have had throughout college. I would recommend.

She is a great professor! This is my second time having her for English. She is really nice and easy going and the assignments are easy to follow, mostly discussions in class. There are 3 out of class essays, 2 in class essays and no final.

Fraga is amazing! If you've seen breaking bad or want to see it, this is course for you because most of the course is based around the show. TAKE HER!!!!!

Professor Fraga is amazing! Everything in this class was extremely manageable. I'd definitely take this class again! She also helps develop you into a great writer, just try to avoid using the words "you" and "your" in the papers because those are considered unacceptable by her!

Professor Fraga is awesome. She tells you how to get an A on day 1-- no tests, 3 out of class essays, a few in-class essays, a few pop quizzes (show up to class, she won't let you take them late). Very caring and wants you to succeed. If you're a good writer, you'll get an A. I'd absolutely take her again.

Very easy teacher. Actually teachers about modern global issues that matter. (immigration, race, discrimination, etc. is good at creating a conformable environment) take her class you won't regret it. I got lazy towards the end and missed some assignments and still ended up with a B+.

Professor Fraga is amazing!!!!! she gives a reasonable amount of work,nothing too much and makes class enjoyable! I don't think she's a tough grader on papers but she does expect you to know how to write. Either way she's amazing and i highly advise you to take her, you will learn from her!

She is so nice and grades pretty easy. Very understanding of your problems too. Make sure to keep up with her blog bc she'll post hints about pop-quizzes. She goes along to a schedule and sometimes she'll postpone assignments. a really no-stress class as long as u do your hw.

Prof Fraga helped me changed my perspective in English and this class was based on 3 out of class essays and 2 in class essays and so on. She is into breaking bad the television series so you will enjoy her class. Make sure you do not do any unexaccplable errors because she will get mad.

This was the best english class I've ever taken. It wasn't super difficult, it was always interesting, and she pushed you to improve your writing without it feeling like it. It was fun and great. 10/10

If you get the opportunity to choose her for sophomore English take her! Super easy grading criteria. I took this class over summer and the whole class was basically based around season 1 of breaking bad. 2 other non breaking bad essays and a few quizzes. She is amazing! Takes a whole new spin on learning instead of reading out of a boring textbook

An amazing English professor! She teaches her class using modern day techniques! She uses Breaking Bad as her topic for the semester. That is literally the focus all semester and at the end you write an essay about it. She gives great feedback and is very helpful with essays! I dislike english but i would take again just to have her again!

i loved her class. best professor ive had so far. she gives great feedback and cares for students grades. class was fun and simple. we watched a tv series as homework. who wouldnt mind watching netflix as homework??! essays are easy and has 1 on 1 conferences to tell you whats up on your essays . would take again if i had chance

I really adored Prof. Fraga! She doesn't believe in finals, word count, and number of pages for essays. As long as you get your point across on the essays you'll do great. There are some pop quizzes, but most of them are on Breaking Bad. Your last essay will be on Breaking Bad as well. She loves that show so much! Go to class, it's worth it.

Professor Fraga is probably one of the most lenient and laid back professors you will ever have. Grading criteria is crystal clear. 3 Out of Class papers, 2 In-class papers, 6 quizzes (5 are pop quiz, one is on the syllabus) and in-class writing responses. Would highly recommend if you need a good grade in English.

Professor Fraga gave me so much confidence in my writing ability! I never received anything less than an A on any paper or assignment with her, and going to class is so so worth it. There are a few group work days. Professor Fraga cared so much about my mental health, and sending her an email with life updates doesn't hurt.

It is incredibly easy to get an A in this class. She is super clear about assignments, gives you lots of time to prepare, lots of warning on HW... could not be more straightforward. This class is FUN, lectures are actually interesting and unique. She will make you feel confident in your writing. Highly recommend.

The only "homework" is to watch the first season of Breaking Bad throughout the semester. Also, the last essay is on Breaking Bad. No exams and NO WORD OR PAGE COUNT!

I took her during summer, which got intense at times but never overwhelming. She takes a unique approach to a traditional class which I really enjoyed. Theres no attendance grade, but there are group days and pop quizzes which will cause you to lose a lot of points if you arent there. So, attendance is basically mandatory. Highly recommend!

She has motivated and encouraged me to be a better writer. I thought this class was going to be hard bc she seemed a little intimidating but as time went on I realized she was an easy grader and I enjoyed the class. Just show up and do the work. Easy homework which is to read articles. Easy graded essay. I am looking to get an A in here.

Awesome professor. Doesn't take attendance, but attending class will help you do well. No textbook. Great feedback on papers that will help improve your writing. 6 small quizzes, 5 short writing responses, some group work, a couple in-class essays, and 3 out of class essays without word count limits or minimums.

Great professor! I would definitely recommend Professor Fraga to every student needing to take English 20 (College Composition II) at Sacramento State. The course involves 3 out-of-class essays, 2 in-class essays, 4 in-class writing responses, 4 group work assignments, 3 pop quizzes, and 1 quiz on the syllabus. Make sure to keep up with deadlines.
