Her mind is very all over the place and she never completes her thoughts so her lectures are very choppy. She funny and gives you many chances with your work. It was Eng 111-09 and the lab part was so boring. She tends to never have enough things to do so in lab you just can leave early. Class goes by slow but its okay.

She is really nice and helpful. From time to time she seems a bit lost while teaching but really she means well and is just trying to teach you and be helpful. If you actually do the work and show up for class you are guarantee an A.

Gaiser is SUPER sweet, she's really eager to help and requires attendance. Not too much work but don't get lazy. She allows you to revise but always give you best effort the first time (she can tell if you don't) HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Prof Gaiser is a great professor. She is very kinda and reasonable with students and will help you in any way she can. There are a few papers you need to write and some small quizes th you can mostly do open book. She is a great and fair teacher.

She is so sweet and personable, you can tell she really cares for all of her students. There are 3 papers, but she provides helpful comments on the drafts in order to receive an A on the final paper. Professor Gaiser is one of the nicest and funniest professors I've ever had! There are 3 major essays and a final, not much homework other than a few short reading assignments that will take you less than 10 minutes to read. Easy grading criteria to follow, if you follow her rubrics for the essays you will have no problem. Loved the class.

Professor Gaiser was a great teacher! She is very helpful, nice, and hilarious! Assigns 3 major papers which can be confusing but she's there to help and the final was mostly open source. She does kind of treat the class like we are 9 but it didn't bother me a whole lot. Just put some effort into your papers and you've got the A. Highly recommend!

She is funny, you have to read everything she gives, pop quizzes and group discussions literally every class. If you don't like group activities don't take her. The class is easy, but coming up with a story on your own is hard, BUT I loved her class. She's kind, sweet, super lovable and I highly enjoyed her class. It was entertaining, we read alright stories, and I loved receiving her feedback on my stories. I loved the style of the workshops too. We used the books to read the stories, but not too often.

She is the best professor for ENG 112, 111, or 125. I took her for two semesters and got my return on investment. 4 papers. Homeworks are relevant to each paper, and those are very helpful when you start writing. So make sure put some effort on homework then you'll be fine. Amazing professor and is very kind to everyone. She teaches ENG 111/112/125 but I think she taught this course (intro to short story -Lit) for the first time. There are no tests, only major thing is the 4 class writing assignments which take a lot of analysis time. Some HW based on readings but not too much. You'll get an A if you put in effort.

Cons: She wants her students to work in group for every activity and I am prefer working by myself. She will tell you that your paper is good and give you a B- which is not good bc I am looking for an A or at least a B+

Professor Gaiser is a sweetheart. She is very caring and a fan of short stories. Her class is reading heavy hence "Introduction of Short Story" but every story is interesting. There are a lot of in-class writings about the stories so make sure you read them! Overall, easy A and a caring professor.

I actually took this class in the summer... that being said, all the material was condensed into those 6 weeks but she made it really easy to follow along and keep up with everything. Weekly assignments &papers were not hard &we would read a new story from the book each week. that class was the 3rd class I took w her, she's just that great a prof!

By far the greatest English professor in NoVa. Clear grading criteria, gives amazing feedback, allows for paper reviews, extremely understanding and compassionate. She cares about you as a person and a student. I 10/10 recommend taking her. Assignments are easy but challenging.

This is my first time rating a professor. 1. Very clear instruction on how to do home work and what is expected from this class. 2. Very helpful and understanding if you run in to late work. just let her know ahead of time. 3. responds quickly to emails, and set up zoom meeting during office hours.

This was an online class for half of summer. I took ENG 111 10 years ago but she was very understanding. She respond to all my email questions right away. she was even willing to set up virtual meeting with me because i did really bad on one of my home work. I wish i had her for my ENG 111. Thank you.

Mrs. Gaiser is sweet, it's very slow and she gives three free absences through the semester but wants you to show up for a grade. the assignments aren't difficult just do what is asked and on time and you will 100% get an A. I would say just show up and do the work and you will be good. late penalties but if tell her she can help extend due dates

Professor Gaiser wants you to succeed. If you put in an ounce of effort, you will pass. Show up, listen to what she says, follow through, and you'll pass. She is very caring. Less lecture based and more collaborative, but its chill since you get to know your classmates. I would take her again 100%.

She has a very clear grading scale and gives amazing feedback, I even passed with a 101%. I am by no means really smart and deserved that grade but she gives extra credit and knows when you're trying your best and gives her students a break. As long as you participate in class and do well on the only 3 major essays you will pass with an A.
