Amazing teacher. She comes up with the most random things to help your remember, and sure enough you do. Group work helps a lot. Attendance and homework is required, but you WILL learn from her. Take the class you will like it. Would recommend her over any math teacher!

super good teacher, hated math until i had her now i feel that i am good at it. As long as you show up to class and do your homework your good. She has all these crazy analogies for math work...but there very fun and helpful. If you don't liek math, be sure to take her she makes it seem so easy! great teacher, i wish i could take her again

AMAZING TEACHER! She has crazy analogies for everything but they are fun and they stick with you. She is very helpful and takes time explaining things. I am now a tutor for a 7th grader who is struggling with algerbra and I am using all the things I learned in her class. This is the first time I've ever gotten an A in a math class! :)

I didn't mind her, I'm better at teaching myself anyways. Didn't even go to class for the last 2 weeks and still recieved a 4.0. Liked that I didn't have to do the homework! Didn't like that she wants student to teach eachother, felt like I was constantly having to spend all my time teaching others, and I'm not a good teacher, let alone in math!

I like her style she puts you in groups so if you are unsure you can get help from others or you and the test are not to far off the extra credit she gives us pratice exams I like that glad to have her for the second time easy to ask question

Prof Griffin is my favorite teacher. I took her for 107 and made sure to have her for 112 as well. She is dedicated to your success and uses funny/off the wall analogies to explain math equations. If you learn hands-on, she is the teacher for you. You work in groups everyday making it not so boring and actually a FUN math class.

This is the best math professor I have ever had. She made math fun to learn and made sure that you understood the course material. She also came up with nice little catch phrases to remember the laws that you need to know.

I was kind of using this as a blow off class but Griffin was AMAZING! I hated math in high school but because of her (I'm taking her for every other class she offers, no joke) it's my minor. She is THE BEST. She makes everything relevant to everyday people and she's brilliant!

Trust me, of all the teachers I took in 4 years. she is the only teacher whose name I remember. She was just that good. One sentence to describe her; she makes the impossible, possible.

She was wonderful, she makes sure everyone knows how to do everything she shows you shortcuts and easy ways to do it and she explains why you do it that why she doesnt just say"because its how we do math"at first i thought i didnt really like her, but that was the 1st week, i just signed up for another one of her classes i liked her alot-thake her!

Very energetic and actually enjoys teaching! She uses stories to help students remember formulas. She drops the lowest test and quiz score (over 115 points) which really helps improve G.P.A. at the end of the semester. She does reviews for difficult tests and for the final. An excellent teacher that enjoys her job!

I TOOK THIS CLASS AND 107 WITH HER. SHE IS WONDERFUL. SHE TEACHES YOU HOW TO USE YOUR CALCULATOR AND TEACHES SO THAT THINGS MAKE SENSE! I DIDN'T LIKE MATH UNTIL I MET HER! SHE TEACHES TO ALL TYPES OF LEARNERS!

The absolute BEST math instructor I've ever had, including high school classes. As long as you put forth the effort and show you're trying, there's no way to fail this class. Makes learning fun with innovative methods. Puts you in groups so you can work together on almost everything. No clue what negative reviews are talking about, she's awesome!

Best Math professor ever! I took her online class. I had been dreading it but it turned out great! She makes extra study guides and videos explaining the different things you cover! She's really interested in making sure you do well! I would take any class she offers again!

Amazing teacher, by far one of the best teachers i've ever had. I had not taken math in 5 years and was very rusty. This teacher knows her stuff and teaches it so well. I studied about an hour everyday during the week and easily 4.0 the class. I definitely recommend taking math with Catherine.

I had Professor Griffin for both 107 and 112. I love her she is by far the best math teacher ever. Not only does she make learning fun but she makes it easy. I would recommend her class to anyone. In her online class she is very interactive and stays on top of things to make sure that no one miss any deadlines. Wonderful teacher!

I think this class was to much on vocabulary then on math this class was very hard and there is not much extra help from her she is very nice but needs more in-depth ways to do the work when math zone was always freezing up and that was where all your work was

She's an awesome instructor! Her approach to teaching this course works! She has students in groups and makes learning the material very easy through her lectures, solving out the problem in front of the class, and then group work. I 4.0 the class and definitely recommend her to anyone who needs to take math 107.

Griffin is an amazing professor. She's very clear and offers as much extra help as you could possibly want. A lot of work is done in your group, which is another great way to learn as well.

This is an AWESOME instructor!!!! I strongly recommend that you take this professor for MATH 112. She is top of the line. She provides you with very clear direction and makes math fun. My best professor by far at LCC. You will not be disappointed... Unless you just don't do the work.

Hands down she is the best. I'm not good at math and I took her online and passed with a B. She means business and will do whatever she can to explain so that you can succeed. I love her she rocks wish I could have met her in person. Take her!

She is very good at teaching, but you have a lot of (really very very much) homework to do in a short time ( after deadline you can not get any points even you do all of them), also if you take this course online you still need to go to assessment center for paper tests (4 paper tests + final test).

Very good professor. I enjoyed her class however I did NOT like the way she had us submit homework assignments using ConnectMath. I spent more time trying to type the answer in than actually doing my homework. If you don't type your answer in perfectly, it is marked wrong, and she counts against your grade.

This professor is by far the best math teacher I've had. If you print out the notes and attend class you are guaranteed to pass. She makes sure you fully understand what she is teaching before moving on to the next section. I would highly recommend her as a math prof!

Good teacher, however, if you don't enjoy boat loads of homework every night then don't go with her. Had 90 problems to do in one night for the next class. Willing to help you, and gives quizzes that you can eventually work on with your groups. Would take again if there wasn't so much homework.

I took math107 with her and she was very helpful but you had to work for your grade. You get homework every night and it is done on a website and you must write everything done with the calculator key strokes to get credit for the homework. You must take notes in class or you will more than likely fail the work, so it is important to do everything.

If you don't like tons of homework, I wouldn't recommend her. The normal for just one section is over 40 problems and you have up to 3 sections to do for the next class period. Plus you have to write out ALL of it. The quizzes are nice because you can work with other groups to finish them. However her grading is sometimes ridiculous.

Cathy is very outgoing and will tell you exactly what you need to know for the tests. The reviews are exactly like the tests and very clear. She cares a lot about students and wants you to do well. I would definitely recommend her for a math teacher!

This professor is the best one I've had for math. She put you into groups so not only did you have her to help you, you also had your group mates. Of the four in our group, only two of us showed consistently. But the help of that ONE other person helped a lot. Not only that, but she explained things in a way that made complete sense. 10/10

You will have online homework every night (except after a test.) Work must be shown in a notebook to her everyday in class. She is tough but she really is a great and inspiring teacher.

She is a good professor if you show up to class and want to learn. She is very nice and very willing to help as long as you're willing to try. I would recommend taking a class with her.

Basically, you need to set aside a couple hours every day to do the work. Follow her advice from the beginning of class: go through her notes first, watch her videos where she explains concepts and problems, watch other videos provided, and complete the paper homework first before completing the online portions. Take the quizzes and tests on-time.

I have always struggled with math until I had Professor Griffin, she is one of the most caring people I have ever met. Took both my math courses from her. I would take any class she taught. She is one of a kind!

She is super clear about everything and how it should be done. If there is a due date and it is that night she will email you reminding you that you still have to do that (but don't depend on it! It's just nice!) There are a lot of exams but they are very easy if you pay any attention at all in the course. 5-6 E.C. opportunities as well!

I loved Professor Griffin! I've never been good at math but I've excelled in her class. Yes, there is tons of homework due each week, and the tests can be hard. But if you do your homework and come to class you'll pass easily. She puts everyone into groups which helps a lot. I would retake her for all of my further math classes!

Professor Griffen is the best math professor I've ever had! She makes class a lot of fun and her teaching style is great. She puts you into groups the entire semester which helps a lot because she lets you and your group members learn from each other. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and explains things very well.

She is a fine professor. All you have to do is show up, do your homework and mildly pay attention to pass. Her tests are kind of hard because they're very vocabulary based. She's a nice person. Just do your work. The math problems are all online which is good because you don't have to get a textbook, but there are a lot of problems in connect math.

Catherine takes time to explain everything in great detail so that it can be easily understood. Visual explanations, good humored and friendly and very encouraging.

i always struggle in maths alot she's always there to help, she explains the lesson pretty well, she makes you sit in groups of 4 so if you don't understand you have 3 others to explain it to you & help each other! she brings in daily life uses for the math we learn. do all your homework & you'll pass in class. i passed class first time around.

Kind of kooky, but explains everything very clearly and is happy to show you easier or different ways to do problems. She cares a lot about student success. Very moderate online homework, and plenty of extra credit opportunities.

Prof. Griffin is absolutely awesome!! Super organized, works extra credit into everything, and really wants you to pass. She applies the topics to real life and makes sure that everybody understands the material. You do have to get used to her personality, but that goes without saying. Overall, do the work and you'll pass.

shes really nice and explains the material in a clear and concise fashion. also gives you multiple ways to get to the same solution, so everyone finds a way that makes sense to them. Lots of homework but not that bad. tests are kinda hard because of they're vocab focus. put you in groups, but it really helps if you get paired with a good one.

Shes a really excellent math teacher, however there is ALOT of outside class work. I would say if you are not totally in the right mindset for this class. Which would have been me in my younger years, you will do terribly. She however 100% willing to go the extra mile in helping you to improve your math skills. Would highly recommend.
