Dr. Overstreet is a sweetheart. She tries her best to grade fairly and gives the opportunity to help her students as much as she can. I never opened the book and studied straight from her lectures/slides. I totally recommend her for biochemistry. The class requires a lot of memorization but is totally doable.

Her exams are straight forward. Reading the book helps a lot. Also, before an exam she gives practice exams to see how well people do. THE hardest class I have ever taken. If you are okay with studying every single day all day, just for this one class, then take it. I can not emphasize how ridiculously hard it is. Some may disagree, but to be honest half of those people taking the class are nursing majors and all GENIUSES. Do not take, trust me.

Dr. Overstreet was an ok prof for gen chem. She does a lot of practice problems in class. She gives partial credit on exams, which is nice. She can be confusing in lecture sometimes, you just really need to pay attention. Actually DO the online hw problems, it helps for the exam. Overall, so-so prof but I did ok in the class even tho I hate chem.

Don't take this professor. She knows what she is talking about and is obviously very knowledgable on the subject; however, her tests and quizzes are too hard and she is the toughest grader I have ever had. Almost no partial credit. She does not respect disability services and is often rude to her students.

DONT TAKE THIS CLASS. LECTURES ARE EXTREMELY RUSHED. I know several students who took chem115 with another prof and have gotten A's. Theres a quiz every class and exam every 2-3 weeks. Office hours help a bit but not too much. The exams were extremely difficult and the class average was ALWAYS low. Her "EC" assignments barely help at all.

Tips: Preview the PPTS before class, really pay attention during lectures, write her examples/drawings, review notes after class, use homework for easy points.
