Ms. Clary is a gem! So kind and encouraging, though the class was little more than a go-over of terms from the book - I didn't have to think too much about it. If you're not going to be a psych major and want to take this class for another major, this one's for you! Not homework-heavy, just right. A fun start to any student's academic career!

I found Cathy Clary to be an excellent instructor, especially for an online course. Her directions were clear,and I thoroughly enjoyed the videos she had available that outlined the chapters and what was expected. I worked hard in this class, and felt that I learned a great deal about communication. I wish this would have been my 1st online class.

Ms. Clary is a great instructor! She is involved, available and organized. Her online class has a nice variety of assignments. She gives clear instructions on how to do well. I totally recommend her as a professor.

Cathy was a good online teacher. She laid out the guidelines for the class on the first week and then we had 5-6 assignments, and 1-2 quizes due every 2 weeks. The quizes are not timed and the answers come straight out of the book. The assignments are pretty simple if you make sure to reach the textbook. Overall enjoyed her class.

Best teacher I have ever had. I would recommend this course to anyone. She was extremely helpful and showed interest in her students success. There is a lot of work involved with this course, but it is well worth it!

She is excellent, true example of an instructor that cares about you, and care enough about what you are learning to give you a pretty big work load to make sure you understand the material. I respect her more that anything.

Although she warns of the difficulties of taking an interpersonal communications class online, she does a great job of making it work. ALL of my assignments received helpful feedback: if I missed any points, I knew exactly why. She does want each assignment to include stories from your own life, which was the hardest part for me. I learned a lot!

AMAZING! Not only is she kind and understanding, but she grades you based on YOU. Not on what she expects you to do, if that makes sense. The papers we wrote were based on our real experiences so it made it easier to learn. She gives great feedback too!

Cathy is my favorite instructor at CBC. This class was easy but there is a lot of homework and reading to do. Cathy gives great detailed feedback and simply expects you to put in effort. The book was used weekly and there were weekly discussions, quizzes and assignments.

Loved this professor! She is very caring and loves what she teaches. Is very prompt when it comes to questions and concerns but takes awhile to grade assignments. I would highly reccomend this professor

Mrs. Clary was the absolute best online professor I've ever had! I would 100% recommend her for your online communications class. She cares about her students and how well they are doing in the class. The class itself isn't hard, but be prepared to participate. Every essay she assigns always has something to do with you personally, so they're easy.

Cathy is very caring, she really cares that her students learn and improve their communication skills. She gave great feedback and her grading is very clear, she also is very responsive to any questions you may have. If you need to take a communications course take it with Cathy.

Cathy really understands the subject and does a great job making an "online class" feel like a "real" class. There was a lot of writing in her class, but I found her grading to be fair and the writing was not that hard. She expected us to use MLA but did not tear apart my papers like it was an English class. I really like and respect her.

Awesome professor!!! I will be taking her again in the fall 2018. Shes so nice. And comments on all the papers we turned in. Also like it when you participate on time she will call you out when you do. Makes me feel good, that even though its online she knows who are.

Took Winter 2018, online. She's one of the best professors I've ever had, take her you won't regret your choice. Yes, you have to put in the time and turn in quality work but it's worth it. You not only grow academically she makes you self-reflect and grow as a person. Her prompts and feedback are constructive, kind, and always helpful.

Professor Clary is just the sweetest, nicest professor. I took her online CMST 260 class and enjoyed it. She does give a paper a week usually but they are fairly simple; she isn't nit picky about grammar, she grades on idea. She shows actual interest in what you turn in and gives good feedback. Overall, easy and interesting class!

Taking her online Multicultural Communications class was one of the best online courses I have taken. If you are responsible with your time and are aware of the upcoming due dates, It will be an easy A. But, if you do not participate in the discussions and do not put effort into the assignments you may struggle. The class content was never boring.

Mrs Clary is by far the best professor I have taken at CBC. She gives great feedback on papers and all homework. As long as you take your time and do the work the correct way, you cant fail the class. I definitely recommend her!!

Clary is a great professor! I took her for CMST& 210 and 260. There are weekly discussions and weekly essays. So participation does matter however the discussions and essays are easy. Usually based on how the chapter relates to an experience or how you could use what you learned in the chapter in real life. Quick to reply over email & very helpful

Mrs. Clary is the sweetest professor you will have, she's forgiving and gives really amazing feedback. Her class is hard, but only because she wants you to learn the material. There are also quite a few papers, but this is a college level course so you need to expect that. She's very relaxed and lets you work the best way you study.

Online course. Kind and compassionate instructor. Workload and due dates are clearly defined. Good balance between videos, reading, discussions and assignments. Open-book exams with no time limit, but reading the material first is a must-multiple answers can seem like the correct ones! Professor is very helpful. Favorite instructor at CBC.

Cathy is an amazing proffesor. She gives amazing, respectful, thorough, constructive feedback, and is the most caring proffesor I've ever had. I would definitely take this class five times over, and I recommend her to anyone who asks. Take her class!!

Prof. Clary is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is very kind and gives amazing feedback on your assignments which consist of weekly chapter quizzes, discussions, etc. The workload does require you to manage your time well, but I would not say that any of the assignments were actually difficult. The textbook is really enjoyable too.

She is so understanding and compassionate, her class was super easy to pass and not super boring either. You have 2 essays and 2 powerpoints throughout the quarter but they aren't too daunting.

Professor Clary is very kind and always willing to help or answer any questions. There are two essays and two powerpoints that are a little time-consuming, but they can be fun. There are small essay questions on every quiz, so open the quiz early in the week. The textbook isn't boring. She also gives great feedback. Definitely boosts morale!

Be prepared to step out of your comfort zone on some of the bigger projects! Tests are open book and don't have a time limit, so they can be worked on throughout the week. Professor Clary is outstanding! She sets you up for success and gives you great feedback! Very easy to get a hold of when needed and also fast! The homework load is completely doable but you need to make the effort. Professor Clary is full of amazing experiences she shares through her feedback to help you better understand your assignments.

Do the work and you will receive full credit (not a strict grader). She is very caring and communicative.

Professor Clary was the best teacher I have had at CBC. She is so kind and cares about her students. She gives amazing individualized feedback as well. The content to me was really interesting as well. We had 4 projects and then just weekly small assignments. She does take a while to grade but only because she gives a lot of feedback.

Professor Cathy is very friendly and understanding. She gives excellent feedback when grading, but with this, my issue is that she is a slow grader. It might have been the circumstances she was going through during the last couple of weeks of the quarter that caused some delay in grading, but before that, her grading was slow.

I loved this professor!! She was very passionate about this course, which in my opinion makes the class stronger and more fun. She gave amazing feedback on EVERY assignment, which was really great! This was a very interesting course to take and Professor Clary did an amazing job! She really cares about your success. 10/10 recommend this professor.

Took her for Multicultural Communications. She is a wonderful professor who gives quick, detailed feedback. The course is easy, just make sure you start planning ahead for the final projects. Clary is an amazing professor. If you slack off, don't take her. You have 3 major assignments, chapter quizzes every week (very extensive), and a few discussions. If you obtain a good work ethic she will notice. She is very empathetic and cares about your success in her class. Workload was more than my Chemistry class, but it wasn't impossible.

She was a great professor. She was very caring as well and encouraged everyone to be successful and went out of her way to give helpful tips and resources. Grading is a little slow but that's expected due to having multiple classes to teach and grade everyone's work. She gives great feedback too. If you're a slacker this class isn't for you.

Professor Clary is such an awesome professor. Not only does she give in depth feedback on what you submit, she cares about your learning and wants to learn about you (she makes it a point to answer on discussion posts and understand you more). There is a lot of writing and it is not a class where you can slack off, but she is so awesome!!!

I know there is so much more I can learn from her. Beyond academic help, she has helped me immensely with my relationship with myself. She's the teacher of a lifetime!

Professor Clary uses Modules weekly to tell you what to expect and has open-book quizzes. Easy as long as you follow the modules. If you have any questions, she was quick to respond. I learned so much from this class and would definitely retake this class and look forward to having her again if given the opportunity.

Please take her! She cares about you as an individual, gives very personal feedback, and is constantly engaging with students and trying to improve the experience. The wide variety of assignments (essays, PowerPoints, speeches, discussions) all help you apply the information to your own life. I enjoyed most of this class and learned from all of it.

Definitely one of the best teachers I've taken so far 2 years into CBC. Has weekly discussions that make the class more engaging even though it is an online class. Always gave really good feedback and super quick to respond to any questions. Only thing that kind of sucked was that finding the book online for free was impossible. (use old version)

Really nice professor, and very easy work. Quizzes once a week worth around 40-80 points and beginning of the week quiz that is very easy points for. Very caring an messaged me when I hadn't turned in an assignment. Took her class online, textbook not SUPER mandatory but if you want a really good grade you probably should get it.

Ms. Clary is one of the few professors that loves what she's teaching. I truly enjoyed this course despite how heavy the reading was. She gives feedback on every assignment; she truly cares about her students passing. The workload is manageable, and quizzes are open book. The projects she assignments are fun to look back on.

I took CMST 260 online with Professor Clary. She is a fantastic professor. I learned a lot about intercultural communication with her; she truly enjoys what she does and goes above and beyond the expectations of her students. Expect feedback on every assignment and a prompt response to any email you may send her.

Prof. Clary is good at understanding other culture and has a caring approach. Not an into class. Weekly assignments quizzes, video submissions and 3 major assignments. Good writing habits are very helpful. Follow the rubrics and instructions and I spent about 8-12hrs wk. This class has taught me lifelong skills and a better understanding of others.

Professor Clary was great! Her feedback was great and she very clearly said what was needed to be done. Sometimes it took a little get a response back but she did help a lot. Her assignments were very clear with was needed to be done. You need to do some projects with a good bit of research and read a lot. Would recommend!

An OUTSTANDING professor! She offers extremely clear grading and provides resources for success. Her one negative review featured failed to mention that Cathy fell extremely ill, however she still graded our work with feedback, would respond to emails within 24 hours, and left two personalized videos with feedback on the final project to review.

Prof Clary is FIRST-RATE! I highly recommend her courses because she truly cares and wants her students to succeed. If you need help, communicate with her and she'll go the extra mile to help you; even on weekends! Her course material was beautifully organized by week and all instructions were crystal clear. Take her courses, you won't regret it.

She attempts to be a very clear communicator but doesn't always make things the clearest. You have to record yourself for discussions. She was trying too hard to make the online class more engaging. Weird rules like you can't respond to other people in discussion too fast and have to wait "so you can really think about your response".

Very caring and helpful for each assignment!

Her organized materials make it easy. Each week, lecture video (5-8min) with a mid-week quiz to ensure you've watched it. Sunday, an open-book, multiple-choice quiz(not timed), with a separate "essay" you answer specific questions. Three discussion posts, video format (2-2.5min). Cathy is very approachable and willing to assist you whenever needed.

Professor Clary was my source of support when I initially hesitated to seek help, but she is incredibly understanding. She provided great feedback, clarified material, and maintained communication. The course requires self-initiative; I recommend her course to any student willing to stay engaged and keep up with the demanding but valuable subjects.

Dr. Clary took the time to make sure that students felt welcome and comfortable even in an online course. She provided fantastic feedback that helped towards future assignments. The textbook chosen for the class was genuinely interesting, which is rare. All in all a wonderful class.

Professor Clary was amazing. I took her class for summer quarter (short qrtr.) and was the easiest class for me. Everything was lined out perfectly, if you are failing that's because you aren't reading instructions. I highly recommend her and her classes. She gives feedback and is also super understanding.
