She is the best! Microbiology is not a very easy subject but Mrs. Dobbs teaches it with ease! She is relaxed and confident. She encourages her students and never has anything to say negative about her students. Her test are direct and clear. She is the type of teacher you want to take with a subject like this. You will learn this subject with ease!

Dr. Dobbs was a great teacher for microbiology. She totally knows her stuff and got the class excited to learn about diseases and bacteria. She always stayed late helping students (esp. in lab) and always came to class prepared. Her lecture notes are super important - make sure you print them to bring to each class!

The book isn't required as long as you review her powerpoints, fill in the missing blanks by attending her lectures, give a good effort during labs, & by using her study guides. I learned a lot in this class. The study guides are detailed and sometimes have more on them than is on the test but they helped me to learn the subject in detail. I feel confident in my knowledge of general bio after taking this class. Pay attention and study and you will do well. Take her if you want to learn.

I took BIO 240 in summer. Lecture was online and lab was in person. Labs were interesting. Lecture material was easy to follow. Complete the study guides, tho.

BIO 151 is not as easy as high school bio so be ready to study. Use the study guides and online notes. Don't take in same semester as Chem unless you havevtime to study for both. Lots of lecture but easy to follow. Plan to take for A&P.

Great teacher, don't her in the morning, she has a voice that will sometimes put you to sleep. Dr. Dobbs is really funny and a nice woman. I will say that her lab practicals are scary and you have to come to class prepared for those. You get practice before walking into the practical. Be aware nursing students: Biology 240 is way harder than Anatomy. The material is brand new and is a different type of Biology than youve seen in the past. Take minimum classes with this course and focus heavily on her PowerPoints. Her exams are mostly scantron questions along with 3-4 essay questions. Dr. Dobbs is always willing to help you.

She typically gives 1-2 assignments on iCampus that are to be completed before the next exam. Very clear grading criteria, and everything on the study guide will be on the exam. If you study her powerpoints, look over the study guide, and complete assingments in a timely manner, the exam is easy. Lab practicals have straight forward study guide.

Professor Dobbs is a fantastic teacher. I've taken her for this class and A&PII. If you use her study guides and her power-points, you will pass. Be prepared to study a lot. It's not easy material. Honestly, anyone who does not pass this class is just lazy. She literally tells you everything that is going to be on the exam.

I took Dr. Dobbs for BIO 151 and she is amazing. She posts all of her Powerpoints online and makes study guides so I mostly studied off of those. She is open to answer any your questions and will help you during labs if you need it. There were 3 extra credit opportunities when I took her, so if there are any during the semester, do them!

She puts tests and papers in a file box and we grab our own tests to look at. Feels impersonal but it's just her method. She likes emailing random factoids related to the current subject so that's interesting.

Dr Dobbs provides study guides for exams and extra credit opportunities. Half of each period is spent in lecture and the other half in lab. So, even though lectures can be long, you always do lab, too. She is willing to help students out.

Bio 151 is an information heavy class. Make sure you keep up with the notes and follow the study guides and you will do well. Dr. Dobbs' lectures are very well organized and are easy to understand. I just took Dr. Dobbs' summer Microbiology course. I recommend her as a teacher. She is accessible. Online material was well-organized. Lab attendence is mandatory.

I took Dr. Dobbs for BIO 151. The lectures can be long but it's biology and there is a lot of information to cover. She gives study guides that are long but really help with the exams. Her power points contain a lot of information. If you use the study guide and go through the power points, you will do ok on the tests. You do lab nearly everyday.

Professor Dobbs is a good teacher and you can tell she loves what she does. A&P is not easy no matter who the teacher is. STUDY! Even if you usually do great in classes without studying do not think that will work out for you in A&P.

I recommend Professor Dobbs for Microbiology. The class is all online and the online labs are pretty easy once you get used to them. You have to put in a lot of time on your own but Professor Dobbs responds to emails very fast. Watch the lecture videos and take notes with the study guide and you will do well in her class.

I had Prof. Dobbs for 6 weeks of microbiology. It was a lot of work, but she gave you everything you needed to be successful. She met with us each week and was accessible outside of those meetings. She offered to give us feedback on our exams so we could review missed concepts and that was invaluable, esp. when the class is so short. She's great!

SHE IS AMAZING! I took her anatomy 1&2 and mircobio- She really knows her stuff and I loved listening to her. She made learning so easy and fun. I got an A on every exam and practicals are just as easy. As long as you study her study guides and make attention, you will do just fine.

Microbiolgy can be hard, but if you study and look over her notes the tests can be easy. She knows her stuff and she is lecture heavy but she gives you ALL the notes needed. Labs are very simple too and she will help you on those. Overall the class was a great learning experience and there are 5 total exams with 2 lab practicals plus a final.

Dr. Dobbs is absolutely amazing. Bio 251 was my third semester with Dobbs. I had her for 240 and 250. 251 isn't hard. Just very time consuming. As long as you put in the work you will be fine. I passed with a 94%. Stay after class for extra study time. Study for practical's. Ask questions. I would definitely take her again.

She Helps you out with labs and answers all your questions so you can understand.

Professor Dobbs teaches challenging content, but does an excellent job explaining it clearly and making complex topics more manageable. There's not much homework, which is a relief, and the feedback provided on assignments is thorough and helpful. Overall, a great learning experience with plenty of support.

Microbiology with Dobbs is a challenge, but her study guide and lectures make it manageable. The timed tests can be tricky, but using Unstuck ai with ChatGPT helped me stay on top of the material.

Her hybrid class has all the exam info on PowerPoints (in person is different). To the point lectures. Exams weren't bad. She also makes exams in summer classes a little easier (eg. no short answer questions on exams). Super caring, encouraging and lenient during labs. No dropped scores. One extra credit quiz worth ~2% of final grade.
