Just finished her online class. Final was exactly like the review. She was great! She will email you every week though-can't say she doesn't communicate. Very strict on deadlines and due dates but allows you to work ahead.

Everything's online, and she puts mid-term and final (both written, not MC, but she gives *STUDY Q's*) in EC testing center the first day of class so you can finish in a week if you want!

This lady is very funny, organized and not snobbish at all! She's helpful and makes sure that everybody understood everything she teaches. Her homeworks and projects are not bad at all coz it does help a student to study and learn for her exams. Cathy is the best math professor. Just do your HW everyday, quizes everyday, test come straight from HW problems and notes. Take her online, I am bad at math and I got an A. The online format is really helpful, and there is review for each test. The midterm review, and final review really help!!!! The mid/final are taken on the East Campus, but everything else is online.

Good teacher, explains the material very clearly and you actually learn math. Tests are fair, she gives a pop quiz every day, so make sure you study notes or do homework. She also gives a project every week which is effects grade significantly so just make sure you DO THE PROJECTS(go to math lab)! I would recommend her but its not an easy "A"

I hate Math and took this class online. Prof. Ferrar was the best Math teacher ever. The class challenged me but I was able to get the material. Took Algebra online and I hate Alg. I had to take all the prep classes and had no choice but to take this one. She is great I got an A, if you go to her she will tell you why your ans. is wrong and show you how to get it right. Does not take up too much of your time once ypu realize her testing styles. Absolutely one of the best professors I’ve ever had. For the first time I actually understood something in a Math class! There are 5 tests, one of which you can retake for your final. Just complete the homework and you will do great!

If math isn't your best subject (like me), you probably shouldn't take it online! Other than that, she seems like a great teacher, who is willing to help. She makes the syllabus and final exam available months ahead of time, giving you the opportunity to work ahead. I would definitely take another class from her (in person) in the future.

ONLINE: This is a very easy course if you stay on track. She tells you everything that is expected in the beginning of the course and you are able to submit everything early if youd like. If not, she does give SPECIFIC deadlines that she doesnt really extend. All in all it was one of my easier courses this semester.

I took this class completely terrified of what I would have to deal with. But, after the majority of the class is over I do not see what the big deal is against her. ONLINE. Cathy was great! Fast to respond to emails, super friendly. Coursework could be completed ahead of time (she even opened the course early, over winter break). Actively discusses on the course board. CourseCompass is way nicer than WebCT! I finished the class in three weeks and actually wished there was more to do. Definitely take her class!

Best Algebra teacher available. Truly wants to make sure everyone passes. Book is online, so you don't have to buy it from the bookstore. 3 tests, all easy if you study. Goes over anything you don't understand until you understand it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Took her last Spring, and for the most part it was great - she is very clear, concise and detailed on lectures, and in addition she helps us review the homework each day should we request it. A fair amount of homework, but nothing extreme. My one complaint is that she tends to be rude at times.

Just finished up my course. She allows you to take the final early. Very fair course with lots of available help. She was available in the evenings online for any questions. My emails were always answered within the day. Her emails were direct and to the point, nothing wrong with that. I'm taking her again next semester for MGF1106.

Professor Ferrer was extremely helpful & quick to respond to e-mails. She allowed us to work ahead and even complete the course early. Homework was light and taken through CourseCompass where she allowed unlimited attempts on the homework problems. She had only a handful of tests and they were very straightforward. Although I didn't have to consult her much for help, she communicates on a weekly basis with ALL her students, and has a page on Facebook which students can join, where she offers online help twice a week. She is also available in person twice a week. You can't ask for more from an online class! She's great!

Take Calc II with this woman. It'll be the best decision you'll ever make. Calc 2 is generally a difficult subject but she makes in enjoyable. (Great sense of humor too.) Very fair and generous grading.

I would not consider math my best subject and was a little leary of taking a course online. Prof. Ferrer made this a great experience. I actually enjoyed the course, and she allows you to work ahead so I was able to finish the course early and focus on other classes at the end of the semester. I would recommend this course!

I absolutely love this professor! You do not need the book because everything is through MyMathLab. Being that I SUCK as math, I was apprehensive about taking an online course, but she gives video tutorials on a majority of the sections in a way you can actually understand. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!!!!

Though it is an online class, the Professor makes videos explaining exactly the skill she wants to teach. The videos are so clear and easy to understand. Math is not my strength and I achieved an A in MGF 1106 & 1107. She is amazing, I was able to earn my associates degree because of her.

Took her class online and she did video presentation that made it really easy to understand the class and do the homework. This is definitely an easy A if your willing to do the work. You will not need a textbook since shes doing all the lecture online, just watch the video and you'll have no problems with the class. Good Luck!

Took as an online Summer course. Absolutely loved this class. She has a video tutorial for every section & goes through things step by step. She's very kind & helpful. You can work ahead & even finish the course early. Practice tests are extremely helpful, including for the final. Overall, even someone who isn't good at math will like this course.

Professor was very helpful and very quick to respond to emails. Very organized, clear and helpful. Online math system is a bit much. But overall if you do the work you will get a good grade.

Took the class online, if you do, PLEASE WATCH ALL THE VIDEOS! Those videos were what helped me pass the class and I am HORRIBLE in Math. They are her own videos of her lecturing and they were super helpful. Make sure you pay attention to the due dates and submit every assignment. Do not be afraid to ask questions, she is more than willing to help.

I got A's on a my tests and a 100 on the final. She will answer any questions via email and responds quickly. She explains everything so clearly. She gives study guides and reviews for tests and they're exacty the same as the test which is helpful. There's a quiz every class and no makeups so don't miss a class. Best math teacher I've ever had.

Son, this lady is awesome. Took her for Calc II, and even though I passed with a C (didn't do HW), I cannot recommend her enough. She makes it easy to understand and she is hilarious. She will help you with any problem you may have and actually care about you. Really down to earth. Gives packets that, if you follow, you'll do great in her class.

If I had another math course needed I would take her again. Her test reviews are the exact same as the test itself. As long as you do the homework and test reviews you are good to go!

This teacher is amazing. I have always struggled with math my entire life. This is the first time I actually enjoyed a math class. She writes out what it expected of you in a clear manner. There is no guessing. Her online lectures are a must watch, as that is the main reason I passed. She responds quick and sends weekly emails.

I don't usually rate professors but Ms Cathy is one of the best teachers. She does what she thinks is necessary for students to learn the material. She always collects and grades the homework. Calculus is not usually fun but she made it fun for us. If you don't like doing any work don't take this class. Very helpful and always available!! :)

I have struggled with math my entire life and I was very scared to take an online math class. Especially one with a pass or fail final. I usually don't rate professors but she really deserves it! Great videos that you can go back and look at, at any time. MyMathLab also helped out a lot. I am taking her again next semester for a different class

I took Prof. Ferrer for Int. Algebra online. When I needed help she would respond within minutes to emails I sent to her. There is a lot of work assignments were due 3 nights per week. If you work a full time job and have serious obligations be prepared to have no life. I was working on assignments around the clock between this class and others.

No notes allowed for the final, but if you do all the assignments, you'll be prepared.

I highly recommend this professor! I've always struggled with math and was hesitant in taking an online course but am so glad I did. The videos helped tremendously. Nothing allowed for final except your graphing calculator but as long as you do the work you will be fine. I would definitely take this professor again.

Just finished a 6 week online Precal Summer B with her. Very helpful with expectations, and even goes through every wrong answer you get online to make sure the MyMathLab didn't screw up. I got a few extra points from this which saved my grade-- says lots about her teaching character positively. Would recommend if she teaches a class you need!

she gets how people hate math so she explains it in a low level way so people can understand how to do the problems. everyday she does a lecture an in class quiz then a take home quiz. EVERY DAY. not kidding. she encourages kids to come to her office and she helps you answer every problem with her so garuntee 100% EVEN ON TAKE HOME QUIZZEZ.

She explains math in a very understandable way and makes jokes! She's really funny, relatable, and she's willing to help. There is a little quiz at the beginning of class and homework every day but their easy and she drops your lowest grades. There are no chapter tests, midterm, or cumulative final. Take her!!

Professor Ferrer is an amazing math teacher, I was able to interpret and understand math easily with her videos. I never went below an 80% on any of the assignments I had with her and she absolutely hilarious! I'm taking her for 1107 next semester and I suggest you take her whenever you can!

I took the online version of this class and do not regret it one bit. All of her lectures are on YouTube and are easy to access. I watched every lecture on 2x speed and was able to complete every chapter in 30-60 minutes. There is a lot of homework, but it really does help on understanding the material. This is self paced, and I went super fast!

Professor Ferrer was incredible! I took her 1106 online and I'm taking 1107 next semester! Her lessons were super easy to understand and the guides that she gives you to print out are a savior! She's really nice and responds to any questions you have through email for any problem! Was stressed about the final, but with her teaching I got an 89!

This teacher provides instructional videos to compliment each chapter. So unlike during a face to face class I was able to replay her videos as often as necessary until I understood each concept. On those occasions when the video wasn't enough I was able to screenshot my errors on practice assignments and we communicated via email.

Prof Cathy is a true Professor and cares about her students. Math scares me but her teaching style is clear and to the point. She responds quickly to all emails. Her videos correspond with each chapter which helped me during the semester. If I can pass her final with a 100 you can too. Put in the work and effort on your part and you will do well.

Absolutely adore her, easy grader, is clear on expectations and she sets up the class to where it's impossible to fail (unless you just don't go to class and do 0 work). She's friendly and straight forward. I am actually planning on taking up one of her online classes. The only reason I got a C was because I didn't do a lot of the work. Oops!

Professor Ferrer is super cut and dry about her expectations for the online class. Every thing is clear and concise. She is a fast grader and she responds quickly to emails. You can work ahead and due dates are clear. I am terrible at math and actually failed this class with an in-class professor but ended up passing with Professor Ferrer.

Professor Cathy is amazing. You have to try to fail, She lets you redo the homework as many times as you need before it's due so you can get a 100%. She gives you fill in the blank notes that go along with her videos so you know what you actually have to write. I wish I could take another class with her but I've ran out of them already :(

I took this class online and I loved it! I had some technical difficulties on the My Math Lab but thats out of the professors reach. Aside from that, if you struggle in math, take her! Was skeptical about taking math online but with her teachings and extra review for the final, I got an 88! Take her!!

If you need a math credit, take this class!!! There's usually 3 assignments due each week and they're pretty easy plus you get extra tries. She gives video lecture notes and they are super helpful. A couple quizes and test but there are practice tests to help. Take this class with Prof. Ferrer you won't regret it!!

Best math professor hands down!. If your looking to take an online math course and if your as bad in math as me, this is the professor for you. Her lecture videos are LIFE!. Her explanations are very clear, entertaining, and in a way fun, making it pleasurable to learn the material. She follows up quickly and she actually cares to teach.

This professor is AMAZING. I usually go to the west campus but I took her on the East because I heard good things. She gives 15 quizzes but you get to drop your 5 lowest scores. She gives you a partner for quizzes. It is open book, open note, open phone. You can ask her questions. She does a few research activities but they are easy. No final.

I took the online course & she posts a video for each chapter walking you through the concept. Her videos are great, I didn't end up needing the ebook at all. You have something due M-W-F, but you can work 2 weeks ahead which is helpful. Final is taken in the testing center and it's exactly what you practice in the quizzes. TAKE HER!!!

Great professor! She's hilarious, explains things thoroughly, and puts cute pigs all over the worksheets. There are quizzes every week, and not many opportunities for extra credit, so you do have to keep on top of the material, but she does upload all of her notes so this is doable even if you don't come to class.

Professor Ferrer is really great. Her video lectures are very informative and help you understand the material clearly. She thoroughly explains all the information so you retain it. All homework is on Math Lab including chapter tests. The final must be done in the testing center but if you watch her video lectures you should do just fine. Easy A !

Cathy is stunning, she really knows her stuff. Cathy gives the best video lectures know demand. Taking this class online was already nerve wracking, but the videos help a lot. Listen to them, try it yourself, youre gonna understand this subject. Grading is straight forward. She drops lowest test grade, and lowest lab assignment. Shes amazing!

Very responsive, material is not too bad if you study. I did not like the added pressure of the final. You must get a 70 or better or you fail the entire course. That's heavy on a person who is not strong in math. I ended up doing well, but it was stressful. She really is a great teacher, I would take her again. Final taken in testing center.

Cathy will work with you, she is amazing. Word of advice, don't wait until the homework makeup day to do all of your homework.

I am a dual enrollment student with a Valencia and she was one of my first teachers! She had great videos for every lesson, which helped me a lot with the homework. There is also a couple of lab assignments (maybe 6?) which were difficult at times for me, but I asked her questions which helped a lot with the assignments. Would greatly recommend!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER! Professor Cathy is the best. She is very caring and will take the time to help you understand the concepts. The exams are similar to the study guides. For the final, she gives us a basic layout of what will be on the exam. There are no pop quizzes. Make sure you attend class and do your homework, or you might fall behind.

Professor Ferrer is phenominal. She doesn't hide anything or hit you with surprises. She tells you exactly what you need to know so your study time is not wasted. HW 2-3 times a week 5 tests plus final. She gives study guides for everything. Put in the time, use the study guides and there's no way you won't get an A.

Without a doubt one of my favorite professors. After Calc 2 I will be taking her for Calc 3. She tells you what you need to know and makes sure everyone understands what they're doing. TAKE HER FOR ANY CALC! Homework every week and tests almost every 3 weeks. If you fail her class the problem isn't her it's you. You need to put in the work.

Professor Ferrer was amazing! She spent a lot of time creating videos on each unit so you are never stuck having to teach yourself from the textbook. There is a lot of homework but if you stay on top of it.. you will do fine! I would definitely recommend taking her online course if you need that flexibility with your schedule.

I took online for summer 6 week term. EASY A! All except one assignment (syllabus quiz) is on MyMathLab. Drops one test with the lowest score from your grades. Gives one day to make up all hw if you miss it or want a higher score (hw only). Final is online, 25 questions, taken at any campus testing center. (I forgot the makeup day so I earned a 79)

BEST & EASIEST math class Ive ever taken. Did online. Her HW videos explain the material perfectly clear. 1 assignment every few days, 10-20 Qs . Gives 1 makeup day at the end of the semester for all missed HW. 2 tries on each Ch. Test & 2 tries on Final. Optional practice tests with same questions (diff #s). My 1st A in a math class, 92%.

Easy A her videos are amazing. Class is out of 700 points. 400 for Chapter Tests (5 tests in total but drops lowest score), 250 for Final Exam, and 50 for HW. You need 630pts to get an A. Im *horrible* at math and got an A in her class. First A in a math class since middle school. Take herrrr.

I already made a comment on here but I forgot to say for the online class all tests are at home except final. Final is 25 questions and taken at the testing center unless u contact her about it. I took Prof Ferrer's Calc3 online class. My takeaway - Watch the videos. Read the book. Do the homework. Do the quizzes. You'll pass. Her midterm/finals are a mix of her video lectures and quizzes. The textbook is a free pdf of calc 1, 2, and 3 (Apex). She's super nice. Any of my messages had a response within 24hrs. WYSIWYG.

Prof Ferrer is great. Had her for hybrid class. She gives 15 quizzes & drops your lowest 5. The only reason I got a C was that I was forgetful and neglected to do all the assignments. Her video lectures are so simple and easy to follow, you have access to them all semester, and she gives you the notes with it. She is funny and loves her cats.

I loved this professor. Her video lectures were high quality, easy to follow and she provides printable worksheets to follow along in the videos, and she offered a make-up day to be able to have another chance to get ALL homework grades up to a 100% before taking the final. A true gem. No one should get less than a A in this class.

I took this professor online and the class really was a breeze. The video lectures are very clear and easy to understand. She also gives printable notes that follow these videos. Theres a HW makeup day for any assignments you may have missed and its easy to get 100s on all of them.

Math has always been a struggle for me but Professor Ferrer's class kept me interested and was easy to follow. She provides printable notes to follow along with the lectures. It was easy to understand and her lectures are hilarious. My only wish was that she showed us a picture of her cat, who is the main character in her lectures/word problems.

I was nervous about taking Calculus 3 at first, but Professor Ferrer made it less stressful and more fun with her professional teaching method and senses of humor. I was super nervous about taking a math class, as I have always really struggled in math. But I never felt like I was struggling in her class. She makes all the video lectures herself and is the first person to make me actually understand the math that I was learning. I 100% recommend taking her class! She's fantastic!

Professor Ferrer does a great job of explaining math concepts. There is a lot of homework but not overwhelming. Her video lectures are far better than the book. She is understanding of health or other personal issues and will work with you. If you have to take math I highly recommend her class.

GET READY FOR TONS OF ASSIGNMENTS! The professor is good; however, there are too many assignments and quizzes to be a 16-weeks class. I would rather take an 8-weeks class and do the same effort:( If you believe you do not have time do not take this class!

PROFESSOR FERRER IS AMAZING. So sweet and cares about her students. She has helpful videos which in my opinion are way better than the textbook. Easy class, ask questions she loves to help. I definitely recommended taking her.

Math isn't really a strong subject for me, but this class was an easy A for me! This professor had some amazing live lectures (I took a Real-Time Virtual class) that helped me really understand the material. She also records herself teaching the material, so attendance isn't mandatory. I would recommend this professor to everyone taking this class.

By far the best math professor I've ever had. She walks through plenty of examples and has note sheets for you to fill out during lecture. Very engaging lectures that I enjoy going to. Tests are fair, the extra problem review sheets will prepare you for them. Gives partial credit and extra credit.

Ms. Cathy is one of the best professors I've had. I took this course as RTV and she thoroughly explained the topics and will explain things multiple times. 2 assignments per week that reflect the chapters. I don't think I've ever seen someone her age so tech-savvy. Easy A if you pay attention to the lectures and do the assignments.

I love Cathy. She is so funny and engaging in her lectures, but also has vids on canvas and is responsive to email if you miss class. She is a bit crass, but she will definitely get your attention. The homework you turn in is a smaller chunk of a larger assignment, so if you are reviewing you can just do the small bit or you can learn from scratch

Professor Ferrer is an overall fair professor and she really is a good lecturer. All concepts are clearly shown and explained to you with plenty of examples to help grasp them. She is tough but does work with you during her office hours if you need extra help no matter the case. Nonetheless, if you put in the work then you will see will success.

Just finished her Calculus 3 course with an A.Failing/cheating students complained about her but we met with her via Zoom each week and she patiently worked through all of our questions on the homework.Her lecture videos are amazing.For those complaining you have to teach yourself: of course, this is an online course that is what you signed up for.

Great prof, she has haters, dont know why the quizzes match the homework she assigned those who say they dont is they not do homework. The questions on midterm and final were copied from her homework. She spent hours with my study group helping us on Zoom and always answered email.

I took her class for liberal arts math online. She has a video lecture for each of the subjects and is very detailed in her explanation. All the work is done through mathlab and it is a very good resource to use plus her videos. using mathlab plus her videos- the class is very easy to get through. All the homework is unlimited tries.

What I like most is she'll go over things you may have forgotten from Precalc/Trig and she quickly responds to emails. Well structured class that does NOT require you to buy MyMathLab. Paper assignments only. BUT, she has this strict elementary-school teacher attitude. Overall, Cathy is a solid backup choice if the class you really want is full.

She made learning Calc 3 easy! Lectures were short but still very helpful and prepared well for weekly quizzes. There are only 2 exams but are exactly like quizzes so as long as you look over them you'll be fine on exams. I wish she taught ODE, I'd take her again she makes learning calc easy and less stressful.

Professor Cathy is 100% hands down the BEST RTV math teacher. I took her to begin my first credit for my math core and she has made math so easy, if you're talking math for a first time TAKE HER. She has lectures every two days of the week but they're not mandatory for she has videos that she made that are the exact same as her lecture.

Great professor. Clear on what her expectations are. Study, do the test reviews and homework including the problems not required and you will pass. Some people say she's too sarcastic, but I found it funny. Those people are soft. Test heavy your grade is essentially just tests, but she gives you all the resources you need to pass them.

I feel it my duty to say that Cathy is probably one of if not *the* best mathematics professor I have ever had the privilege of taking. She is very clear and to the point, she doesn't get bogged down on irrelevant topics, and she makes the lectures a fun experience to take part of. You won't just pass this class, you'll learn it.. PHENOMENAL professor. Genuinely the best experience I've had. She's caring, she can be blunt with her humor but that's what I like, she likes to teach. She's so organized and her teaching style was perfect for me. Some people have a calling and hers is teaching. She tries to make math fun. She employs great strategies to make you learn.

Funny, good at teaching. Most of this class has to do with knowing your calculator/notation (people tend to struggle w/notation later on) and she does a lot of in class practice to hammer it in. Lots of opportunities to improve your grade especially towards the end of the semester. In-person quizzes, but feedback + group work before the quiz.
