best biology teacher. she made her class so eazy and fun. her test are easy but u have to study for it.

She is a very good teacher, and wants the whole entire class to do well. She cheers for everybody. She was nice keeps you the entire class time until your sleepy, but she was rewarding.

Very helpful and straight forward. Tries to make lectures as simple as possible. Very fun and has a sense of humor, Though attendance is not really mandatory it is highly recommended. If you want a teacher who really enjoys teaching and cares for her students, Prof kelly is who you want to take!

Cathy is such an amazing professor. She is so funny and makes the material easy to learn. I was dreading having to take this course, but once I got to her class, she sparked a love for science that I never thought I would have. I would highly recommend her. Not only is she beautiful inside and out, she is the smartest teacher I've ever met. Her lectures/labs are interesting and very easy to catch on to. I was worried about Bio but after a few lectures and labs I was fine! Study guide a week before the test. Knowing the study guide = A on test. I wish she was my mom because she is just that amazing.

Kelly is by far one of my favorite professors at Macomb . she is super intelligent and passionate about her students succeeding and makes the material easy to understand by using her humor and association methods. the class is A&P, so of course it will be difficult, but taking notes and following along will make it easier - I would take her again

The best professor I've ever had at Macomb. I'm an engineering student so math is my priority, plus I HATE science but her class made my entire semester. She's extremely funny and great lectures so I was always excited to go to class. Very smart and passionate about bio. I loved the fact that she dumbs things down for us to our understanding too.

Professor Kelly is by far the BEST professor at macomb. I took A&P the first time and got a D with another teacher. Retook it with Kelly and received an A!!! You have to work for it, it's not easy. But she makes it so much easier to understand. Sad my semester is over!

This class was great. Everybody participated because the class was so interactive. Very unique teaching style. I do not recall one person dropping out. I came in with no interest in science, especially environmental science, however, i learned a lot and even implemented things into my daily life . I eat more vegetables and watch my energy usage.

I really enjoyed her enthusiasm, and her palpable love for what she does. Participate, study, and show up and you will do well. Heavy on lectures and note taking, but this system seems to ensure a good grade if you embrace it. Lectures were energetic and fun. We even took a field trip. I enjoyed this class, and the professor, and I recommend both.

Kelly's the real MVP. She's the best professor for A&P. If you are serious she'll help you the best that she can, but expect to work hard & earn your grade. 4 lect exams @ 50q-100pt, they are fair but if you don't study thoroughly don't expect an A or even a B. Lab exams are made by sci department50q-100pt. Also extra credit, paper, quizzes, & HW.

TAKE CATHY KELLY FOR YOUR SCIENCE CREDIT! She is very real and knowledgeable. You need the book and code. Exam, written assignment, and online work for every unit. One field trip is mandatory. Online trip possible. Study guides are provided. Extra credit opportunities are given. If you work hard and study what she tells you to you can get an A/B.

This is a very hard class but she is the best Professor for it. The book wasn't used since we wouldn't have enough time to study and read the book, so she hands out PowerPoints so read them ahead of time. Also watch videos or other research before going over the subject, it'll help you study and comprehend the hard material.

I took Nutrition with her online. The class was fairly easy. There were a few miscommunications during the class but, that is to be expected with online classes. There are a lot of papers and mainly discussion boards. From what I've been told most Nutrition classes are centered around papers.

I dont care what other students said , the class its hard and professor Cathy is the best , I got B- in class because I didnt study a lot , dont cheat and be honest with her ! She is the best professor, just study hard thats all and she is going to help you !

great professor! some of her assignments take a while to accomplish but she's a pretty easy grader. the online homework and exams on connect are super easy! gives lots of extra credit but it takes a while to do it, so if you just do all the regular work she asks you don't need to do the EC to get a good grade.

Extra credit & quizzes on anatomy for which you have time to study for! She wants you to succeed and can only do so much, the rest is up to you. This was an A&P class, so to pass Lab it's essential to study in the Learning Center 4-8 hours per week. Lecture exams study from power points from which she lectures. You fail? Your fault. She's great!

Professor Kelly is one of my favorite teachers at MCC. A&P is one of the hardest classes to take in my opinion so if you don't put in the time and effort for the class, you will not get an A. Professor Kelly gives you ample opportunity to achieve the grade you want by giving pts for basically studying. Don't let the haters fool you, she's great.

Doing this class all virtual I was ready for a challenge, but this class was so fun and pretty easy. The information is interesting enough to keep you entertained and the work is fun; mostly making diagrams and a few discussions. Study guides were supplied for all the tests and Cathy actively spoke with students, even without a meeting time.

Professor Kelly was very a nice teacher and it was a smooth class. She gives out the WHOLE unit at a time though, and 3-4 weeks to complete all work (easy work). She will email us here and there to be in contact with us, but we really teach ourselves this class. I would take her again :)

Wonderful teacher! I had taken this class with different professors previously and was unable to pass. She is by far the best and the fairest A&P prof. You do have to do the required work and make sure to study for the tests. Studying materials is offered. You have to get the online textbook program for the lab portion too.

Mrs. Kelly has been one of the most amazing teachers. I took human anatomy and physiology in an 8 week condensed course. She made it possible to learn everything quickly and made comprehension easy. Study hard, put in the effort and you will do great because she cheers you along the whole way :)

Fall 2023. You must study well to pass the class. All quizzes and exams are camera-proctored through Proctorio. Any suspicion of cheating to her is cheating. Make sure you go along with all of the instructions and do the extra credit. 4 exams are anatomy while the weekly quizzes are physiology.

As an online class, it is difficult. A lot of info, and you really have to study diligently. My biggest advice. STUDY FOR THE LAB EXAMS. 100 points whereas chapter tests are 25. It is all memorization. I was able to get 100% on my final. Lots of extra credit assignments, brought me up about 7% and some tests get points back.

This class was hard but Ms.Kelly is amazing, I took the online course and it wasn't easy but she provided so many resources to help with studying she was very detailed and always responded quickly, the material was hard but she made it easy to learn and provided so much extra credit, it boosted my grade, I would retake her in a future course.

I took the 8week course, and it was difficult material but doable if you can commit to the time sacrifices it takes to succeed. Her lectures were engaging & funny, & she provided us w/ many tools. Do all the extra credit & study well for lab tests (100pts). Ch tests were hard but if you study you will do okay. She was responsive & helpful in msgs.

This class requires diligent studying, but the professor cares about student success. Use the study guide, extra credit, and tools like unstuck AI to maximize your chances. Attend class if you can - it really helps.

Prof. Kelly was great! The online course is work-heavy, so plan ahead. Each unit lasts two weeks, but the work isn't something you can rush. She relies on McGraw Hill and doesn't offer credit for late work. Overall, a good class if you're willing to put in the effort.

Keep your notes, very organized, especially when it comes to macro and micro nutrients once you get into depth with it. Don't be overconfident with your knowledge of nutrition. The professor is very passionate about what she does, and is kind! She does video lectures as well. Watch them, she takes the time to do them…so be respectful, and watch!

I took nutrition online. If you need this class as a blow off class, take it. Yes there's a lot of work but everything is online so take full advantage of that. The unit tests don't require a camera. Lots of homework but manageable. There's also lots of discussions but u can always just use chatgpt lol

I took this class fully online. She's the best!!! take her!!! this class was only 8 weeks class so they're was a lot of homework. However, they weren't that bad at all! she doesn't grade hard at all either. Just do the work and you'll get points

Great online 8 week A&P class! Watch her YouTube lectures and use the test doc. Study labs and use the McGraw Hill atlas. Tons of extra credit! do the 5pt assignments! Show your driver's license when prompted by proctorio or get a zero. Overall, she's caring, organized, and wants students to succeed :)
