Professor Mestre is one of the best teacher's I've ever had! She is very thorough. If you want to learn and better yourself, she's the most helpful teacher.

She is the best professor...EVER. Tough, but fair. She does not play favorites and will kick your butt into gear and make you a great writer. You will not forget what you learn in her classes. Excellent, A++++ teacher.

She's a good teacher & I passed w/an A amazingly. Just go to class, take notes, & learn the study guide cause the quesetions are exaclty from there. Make sure you do the oral presentation cause it really booses up ur grade. Good luck!

Professor is hard BUT she prepares you for the real world! I have never learned so much in my life. My writing has improved 100%. She makes it very clear what she expects and you get a chance to correct all your assignments before turning them in for final grade..AWESOME!!!!!

Professor Mestre's Business Law was extremely informative, while retaining a simple, easy to follow class structure. The only thing you must do to earn an A in this class is enjoy the subject matter.

Her classes are not easy unless you come and listen to her lectures. Every word out of her mouth is as good as gold. She is very clear and precise about what she expects of you. It is alot of writing, but I learned that it makes it easier for you to remember. If you really want to learn, take her!

Business Law- Great professor. Explained very well. Her tests can be difficult but if you pay attention in her class and follow the study guide an A should be make able. I know I did.

She is a great professor, but she does seem to think that you have nothing else going on in your life except this class. And if you do not like group work, do not take her class. She wastes half her time forcing students to work in groups.

Best Professor at Valencia. You will hate or love her there is no in the middle. She is thorough and expects the best from everyone. Her class is crazy easy if you attend every class and take good notes. BUY A TAPE RECORDER!!! And you will be fine, if you are a lazy person who came to Valencia to sleep and get an A you will hate her. Take Her!!!

Be ready to write! Lots of notes! She is very strict on when items need to be turned in, but that only prepares you for this career. She was a good Professor. Just didn't care to hear about her perfect life. I recommend her if you want to learn, but she is not an easy A. A's don't mean anything in the work force, only knowledge.

Business Law Online. Easy class that covers basics. Study for the exams, esp. the last one. Grades exam on curve. Barely used very expensive book $190 - only for a couple chapters at the end. She provided notes. Mestre was decent: always available and easy to talk to. Overall, informative class with steady pace & light workload.

I have taken Prof. Mestre for RPI, RPII, Legal Research I & Legal Research II. If she taught other classes, I'd take them too! She IS hard, but she IS FAIR. If you're lazy, don't take her, you won't like her. She treats you like the COLLEGE student you are. This isn't high school anymore, time to grow up!!!!! I'm really going to miss her.

I loved this professor. It is NOT an easy "A" at all, but I really enjoyed the challenge. On a lecture day, be prepared to write write write! Her tests are multiple choice, but don't let that fool you, they are really tough. You will learn so much from her. Some say she forms an opinion of you from the start, I didn't experience that personally.

I love her, even though she is kinda hard, she's awesome. Assignments and exams are straight from her notes. Attendance is important because we take A LOT of notes in her lectures. Any questions you may have she answers to the best of her ability, she's just great. But be warned, if you are not a good note taker, consider another teacher.

Prof. Mestre is an amazing teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable and accessible. Her courses are demanding, but I feel incredibly prepared to enter the legal field! I have taken or am taking every class she offers. You have to work in her classes, but it only prepares you for working in a law firm!!!

I was very concerned with taking Business Law I online, but she has really taken the time to outline the course where it is very informative & easy for the students to stay on track. Dont get me wrong, you must work hard to earn a good grade, but above all, she is extremely fair. Probably the best teacher I've ever had.

Hard class & you spend a lot of time in the library. I recommend taking this class late in your program; not for a Freshman. Be prepared to write a lot, take good notes it will be in the test. Ms Mestre is very strick on the writing so you have to be careful. Overall good professor & I learned a lot. I recommend her for those who like a challenge!

I have been luck enough to have her for BusLaw I, Real Prop I & II, Leg Research I & II. VERY CLEAR in her expectations. VERY FIRM, but fair. You have to work hard, but she makes it interesting. Willing to meet with and help EVERYONE! (Learn where her office is since class time is completely filled with notes!)

I took this teacher for both pla 1104 and 1611 in the same semester. She is a good teacher and willing to help, but make sure you study a lot your life is bascially her class. she expects everything you give her to be perfect. she sometimes belittles you, but i got over it and got an A in both classes. Just study really really hard!

Great professor. I am a science major and took this class online last fall as an elective. Very clear expectations, very easy class. Expects decent writing skills, which everyone should have by the time they reach a college level. If you cannot write, take a remedial class. Professors should not be expected to teach you basic life skills.

I took her online. There are 3 tests EACH is worth 25% of your grade, the last 25% is assignments. The assignments are easy they involve research. The exams are taken on campus on scheduled days and you MUST at the very least study her study guide hard core. The tests are curved but even so they are hard. She is nice and very helpful!

I attempted this class while working full time DO NOT TRY THIS. Had to drop after the midterm. Every week there is a research assignment that must be done in the law library, will take at least 5 hours per assignment. The midterm and final are TIMED research exams out of the law library HARD! Take this course if you have a lot of time for it!

Professor was very upfront and forewarned us of the heavy workload in the class. Online modules were very clear & easy to follow. Knowing the expectations upfront prepared me for the class. Study guide was very helpful.

She is an easy teacher and runs through the material rapidly, which I enjoyed thoroughly! I would recommend her if you really want to be a Paralegal, because she is one of the best professors you will find in the program and she teaches a lot of different classes, so be prepared to work hard and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Best teacher that I have evr had. I took her last term for three classes, RP I, Bus Org, and leg research. I was happy to get the b's. You need to attend class, take notes and pay attention. She is hard as heck but you will learn a lot. DO NOT take her if you are lazy. Her tests are hard and you HAVE TO study hard. I think she rocks!

She is a really tough teacher. Don't expect much help from her. With her, either you get it or fail! Expect hours of homework each week. I wonder if she realizes that most of us have other classes that need our attention as well?

She is very strict on grading but if you put in the effort you will pass. She is brilliant, and is not for everyone. C students should look for another teacher.

If you want to be babied and have your hand held, don't take her. If you realize this is college and that we are adults trying to learn a difficult subject, TAKE HER. As a matter of fact, if you are going into the Paralegal field do take her because if you can't handle her as a teacher you can't handle being a paralegal. If you're looking for an easy A, she's not the teacher. She is demanding and expects alot from you but on the flip side, she is extremely nice, very fair and gives you the tools to learn. You need to work for your grade. If you dont do outside studying, you are doomed.

She is awesome! You are sure bound to learn a great deal of material. There is work to do in her class and she requires commitment: it's college after all! She is super nice and will go out of her way for you. She is not impossible for students who are willing to put college-level effort in her class.

She is very clear in her expectations. She tells you from the very beginning that the first 2 exams are fairly easy (true)and the final is hard (true). The assignments are straight forward and require your time. If you want to leave the class knowing you learned something, this is the prefessor to have, if you want an easy A go elsewhere.

I took Business Law 1 online over the fall. This was by far the hardest class I have taken. This class is very demanding. There are 3 test and they are worth 75% of your overall grade. STUDY,STUDY, STUDY or you will not succeed in this class. Very difficult but you learn a lot.

Wonderful person and teacher, but you must attend every class to do well! Do not buy the book, it is not used at all. Tests are from notes, which is why you MUST attend every class.

The class was very practical, and quite tough. Get the note packet as all of her tests come straight from the book. The tests are all multiple choice, but that doesn't mean they're going to be easy. My only complaint is that she didn't post grades on blackboard. Other than that I would recommend taking her.

This is my second time taking Mestre. I will not be taking her again. She is very difficult. Nice lady, but the work load is too much for someone that has a life outside of her class. Only take her if you absolutely have to.

She is a great teacher but very difficult. As tough as she is everyone seems to like her and take her again. She really does care about her students do well and tells you ahead of time what she expects. Be prepared to work hard but A's are attainable if you do what she asks. She is always available in her office and replys to all emails.

Absolutely excellent Professor, cannot rate her enough. I took the class on-line. Watched all her videos of in-class studies which was the most helpful. It is like being in class with her. Take her notes, study all of them as they relate to the tests. 3 tests taken in an approved campus, study hard and you will get an A :-)

Professor Mestre is one of the toughest Professors I've ever taken. She is funny, witty, and expects success from her students. She is crystal clear from the start that this is a hard course, and whats needed to pass. Her tests are extremely tough, however, I'm leaving this class with so much knowledge and confidence. Mestre is a great teacher she may be hard, but you learn a lot from her! midterm and Final exam are heavily weighted so make sure you know the notes well, I would recommend studying them before you know the test is coming because too much info. she is a great Professor i will take her again, just try not to take back to back classes in one day.

Most students sum up Professor Mestre with one word... HARD. I disagree. While the assignments given can be challenging, if you pay attention and follow the course work, you will pass. Mestre is clear about expectations, instructions and requirements. If you listen, take thorough notes and ASK questions when needed, you will do fine.

Skipping class is not an option. Not gonna lie - this professor is tough. You have to commit to this class. If you do the work required, though, it will pay off. She tells everyone right up front what's expected, so there shouldn't be any excuses. Lots of assignments without a lot of advance instruction, and LOTS of in-class group setups.

Incredible individual with lots of experience. She expects a lot from her students. Home works take up to 8 hrs, and her test are hardcore. I'm an older student with vision issues even with glasses, so taking the test while being timed was a very hard issue for me. I failed the mid term, but had A's and B's on my assignments. I got a C in the end.

Professor Mestre isn't an easy teacher. She's also very upfront about that. Her test questions are specific and you really need to read them and go through each answer carefully. Study, take notes, and read test questions carefully and you'll do fine!

Professor Mestre is witty, intelligent, and challenging. if you are looking for a class to pass without working too hard do not take this class. I took 2 of her classes this semester, taking 2 next and i love her. She gives A LOT of information and you are expected to know ALL of it, but it is all practical and has real life applications. Yes, she is a tough grader, but not for arbitrary reasons. If you're looking for an easy A, this is not the class for you.

Mestre is by far one of the most difficult professors I have ever had. In saying this, you learn so much from her that it is worth it. If you work hard in this class (legal research 1), you will pass it. Heavy lectures and quite a bit of library time for homework. The book helps TREMENDOUSLY and I recommend reading each chapter before every class.

She is a great professor but you have to work hard in order to pass her class. There is no way you will pass a single test or assignment if you skip class, everything on the test is from class notes. She gives very hard tests and you have to think about everything you know and you really earned your grade.

She will instruct you better than anyone else, but will also demand much of you. Outside forces, beyond emergencies, do not affect her high grading standards. Prepare for hard tests and homework.

Ive taken multiple classes by this professor and she is my favorite! Come to class and take notes, you will not be successful if you dont. Record the lectures and re-listen to them before the exams. She tell you everything you need to know and you will have no trouble if you are careful and read the questions slowly. You will learn in her class!!

Mestre is extremely difficulty no matter the class. In general, she hands out a large note packet which she compliments with lectures; and demands you know it verbatim by exam time. In Legal Research 2, she gives a relatively brief lecture and gives an project which is reviewed next class, and due the following. There is a large final proj as well.

I've taken a few classes with Mestre - if you work hard you'll pass. Research assignment every week - one lecture (gives you notes/directions) & one library class to research. Make time to research inside and outside school for assignments, exams and sometimes there's only one book for assignments, can't stress this enough, that's why i passed.

She has a great teaching method, she quizzes you on exactly what she mentions in her lectures. I RECOMMEND RECORDING ALL OF HER LECTURES. I cannot stress enough the importance of recording every single lecture, it is the best way to study for her tests. Also, make sure you have enough time to spend hours in the library completing the homework.

Taking a Mestre class is a great way to stimulate thinking and growth. This is a healthy challenge that some students take as "too much work" when really, the small number of assignments given all but really help one for their midterm/final. Students are provided with EVERYTHING they need to succeed. The class structure is very well organized.

Prof Mestre is extremely fair and very accessible. Her grading criteria & due dates are in the Syllabus. Mid term and final count for 66% of your grade. She post weekly lectures and notes and has an optional weekly 30 Min. Talk Time where you can ask questions. You will do well if you don't get behind. Watch lectures, read notes & book, etc.

Her lectures and note packet are well done and easy to understand. Although having 66% of your grade depending on the midterm and final exam is hard, what she does with the learning curve is helpful. The one thing I dont like about her is her "You need to study, I am a difficult professor, no extracredit" vibe.

Take this professor seriously and take this class seriously. Make sure you attend, take notes and do the work. Students are negative about this teacher because she is tough and doesn't take a bunch of BS, but if you do the work you will actually learn! She is trying to help you become a professional paralegal, where a mistake can be very costly.

She is very caring and provides all the tools needed for success but you must use them (lectures, notes, and weekly time to ask questions via Zoom). Professor Mestre is the reason why I entered the paralegal program. She is an outstanding professor! I took three of her classes and have a command of the material in my career. Professor Mestre is a fantastic professor who structures her class so that her students learn and retain the material. Her class contains very well-rounded and applicable material. Course is challenging because property transactions require extreme attention to detail and precision. If you are dedicated to being a successful paralegal take her!

Prof. Mestre is an excellent professor. She gives detailed lectures which helps you understand the course. It's important to be present at the zoom meetings because she will explain everything in the meeting. You can ask her questions and she will help you. She wants you to grow, so it's not easy, but if you put effort in it you will succeed.

She is very detailed in her instructions, but does not forgive mistakes, unless you can prove that there may have been a mistake on her part. She was very understanding of my disabilities, and let me make up some work after a seizure.

I just finished Professor Mestre's PLA 1104, and one of the reasons I took it in person was to show her the kind of student I am, after just barely passing PLA 1161, 1003C due to pure slack.
