Cayce Wicks is the kind of teacher that everyone should take at least once in their time at FIU. She is young , vibrant, full of energy, and shows genuine interest in her students. I have taken Cayce for both ENC 1101 and ENC 1102 I can assure you would not regret taking her. She is the most genuine teacher at FIU. She gives clear expectations, allows you to revise essays (optional), and gives insightful feedback. Her energy is nothing but contagious. If I could I would without a doubt take her again.

Prof. Wicks is wonderful! Very easy going and really dependable, you can tell she cares about her students. Take her for ENC 1101 and 1102, you will not regret it. The BEST!

To say Cayce is a good professor is an understatement. In my opinion, she actually really cares about your expressing your writing and improving your rhetoric. Extremely helpful, and very lenient, 1010 would take again.

Cayce is such a great teacher! she gives amazing feedback on papers, gives fair short homework, she loves participation, is very happy go lucky and nice, and she will work with you if you need anything. No tests and only 3 easy papers. Gives extra credit, and group work during class.

Again, I took her 1102 after 1101 and it was still so helpful. Cayce is such a great professor that always willing to help! Her class was interesting and useful, made me know how to write an academic paper. NO TEST NO QUIZ only 3 papers connected by same theme, she even gave u chance to revise the first two essays and had better grade! Y.W :)

Really Amazing and wonderful teacher. I've never been a good writers but I improved so much over the course of the semester thanks to her. I really wish I could take her again! Textbook is needed if she assigns it, attendance is important to her so make sure you go to class. Do your work and participate in class and you'll get an A.

She is one of the best professors I've had here at FIU. She is extremely helpful and cares about her students success. Class is very laid back, class discussions and light work. A couple essays are required and are worked out through out the semester. She is a great resource to have, very knowledgable. If you need 1102, take her. No doubt.

Super easy class. I loved Cayce. She's young (in her late 20's), friendly, easy going, a cutie pie and suuuper easy to talk to. If you gotta take ENC 1102 and are not a fan of writing take Cayce! Attendance is mandatory but its not a big deal- she makes class fun. She gives great feedback on your work and responds to e-mail efficiently.

One of the the best professors I've had for an English course. Not only is she incredibly nice but she really takes her time to sit down & talk with you about your work. Every time she would come in for class she always engaged in convo & was always very easy to talk to. Yes, the homework is a load & yes, attendance counts, but overall, worth it!

She's great. If you don't go to class or don't do homework avoid her. Easy grader but you have to do the work and participate. Highly recommend her.

If you're willing to actually put the time and effort into the class you'll pass her class with an A, for sure. Her class consists of 4 papers and no midterm and no final, although a presentation at the end of the semester counts as the final. She also gives out extra credit throughout the semester. Overall, its not at all hard and she's the best!

Cayce is THE BEST professor at FIU. She is fun, understanding, and fair. She makes her classes fun and interesting. Participation is extremely important in her class. There are 3 major writing projects, which all lead to the final Op-ed (3rd project). She walks you through everything. Her feedback is great and she is always available through email!

Professor Wicks was one of my favorite professors at FIU. Her class does have a medium work load, as long as you do the work on a weekly basis and submit things on time, you'll pass.

She's the best. She helped me improve my writing. Easy class just do the work. No test, just 4 essays. She sets up individual conferences after every draft to discuss what you need to improve on. Final essay includes an audio so don't freak out when she explains it, it's easy.

I took her for ENC1930 and again for 1102. If you go to class and do the homework you will pass. She will let you revise your papers at the end and turn in late assignments for partial credit. Homework every day but it shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes. (Take advantage of conferences!) I only got a B- because I missed a major writing assignment

If you go to class and do the discussions and papers you'll pass. There are a lot of discussions but theyre short and take under 10 mins usually. Take advantage of her office hours and conferences, she will tell you EXACTLY whats wrong with your paper BEFORE you submit it!!! Took 1930 with her and 1102 . She's wonderful

Great professor! A++ Very caring & is always available to help or answer questions. There is a lot of essays, but they are broken up and reviewed during class. My only suggestion is don't take this during the summer because all the essays are crunched in the short 6 weeks. It makes it hard if you have a job and other homework heavy courses.

Please, if you're going to take anyone while at FIU, take Cayce. She's incredibly helpful and her class was a joy to take all semester. Definitely not a hard grader and very accessible if you need help. Grading criteria was incredibly clear and I learned a lot. Honestly couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Professor Cayce is the nicest professor ever. The course has a lot of homework but the deadlines are flexible and for the most part, graded on completion. The only assignments that have stricter deadlines are the ones at the end of the modules. This is an easy class and it is worth taking.

A professor who you can tell LOVES her job. If you can take her class, please do. Her assignments can be lengthy but worth it. One group project but it is super easy. Those assignments are reviewed in class with a discussion. There's no way to fail the class because she accepts late work too. Wish there were more professors like her. :)

I would highly recommend taking a course by Cayce, she is very kind and talkative with students, making easy connections. Literally a ray of sunshine! There's lots of assignments but nothing too hard it's assignments that help with the final big assignment. Research heavy class! Class was a little boring ngl but she's like absolutely great! She drops 4 of your lowest grades. No tests or quizzes. The TA was great too!
