I had Dr. Crosby for differential equations and I loved it. She's very accommodating and approachable, and answers questions clearly and well. I'd definitely take her class again-- I had fun!

Dr. Crosby is one of the best math Professor I have taken at uncc! I enjoy her teaching method, she goes into a lot of detail when explaining how to approach problems and honestly has great enthusiasm. I would definitely take her if you have the chance.

Given that I hadn't taken a Math course in over 4 years and never Pre-Calc I'm not sure how much of my struggles came from that or from her aggressively paced structure. Department makes this class awful but she made it tolerable. All things considered not a bad choice for a professor, super nice person. Just be prepared for the monsoon of HW

Professor Crosby is an absolute sweetheart. She will make time out of her day to meet with you through Zoom to go over problems you are having trouble with. She responds to emails almost immediately and is very accepting of all students (even includes her preferred pronouns in her email signature). Would take her for any other Math class needed.

Best math teacher I've ever had!! She is so nice and I really liked her class. She explains every concept in the simplest way. I actually started to enjoy math because of her. Also, she was super helpful if you ever had any trouble with certain topics or problems. I would absolutely take her again!

One of the nicest professors I have ever had. Very understanding and is really invested in wanting her students to succeed. She does move quite fast, you jump right into the material on the first day of class. You will have homework after every class and quizzes every week, plus tests every few weeks. She really breaks down things and makes it easy

She gives practice tests that are nearly identical to the actual tests (taken in person) .Gives EC,takes attendance daily, there's no way you could do bad in this class because she gives so many opportunities for you to pass and do well, just put in the work. Dr. Crosby is one of my favorite professors! She's really nice and makes math easy. She explains concepts in a simple way and goes through each question step-by-step. She responds to emails quickly and never makes you feel bad for asking a question. There's alot of HW each week and 3 tests but she let us retake an exam we had less than 3 absences.

Great professor, would take her again. For tests, she will give you a practice tests exactly like the real test. You need to try to get a good grade in this class.

Dr. Crosby's lectures are very clear and her notes make sense. Textbook was optional and I didn't get it because I just took notes as she was writing down and explaining things because she goes slow enough for you to follow along. She is very good at responding to questions and emails outside of class!

Doctor Crosby is a great teacher. She's very clear and concise in her teaching style and she's happy to clarify or go over anything you need. The course is overall not too demanding, just make sure you show up to class and do the homework.

She is one of the BEST professors I’ve had for math. Math isn’t my strongest subject, yet I feel good in her class. She’s open for asking questions, and reaches out to her students. Just make sure to write notes and do the homework.

I used to hate math and bs my way in all math courses. But Dr. Crosby made me understand calc in such an easy way!! I can not recommend her enough.

Explains a lot of problems in class which allows you to learn the material so fast. A few homework assignments a week, however, they help boost your grade so much. Provides the class a practice exam before each test along with the solutions and work. Practice test is very similar to the actual test, study it hard. Would 100% recommend her!

Dr. Crosby was great, I took her asynchronous class. Topics were clearly explained with a lot of examples. The videos for the asynchronous class are recordings from the online sessions which does make the videos a little long. I would recommend this class, good lecturer and good structure.

Dr. Crosby was one of the best professor's I have ever had at UNC Charlotte. She is great at explaining difficult topics in her lectures and gave a clear understanding on what had to get done. Always sent emails/announcements to remind everyone on what was due and enjoyed her enthusiasm in lectures. Overall, I would definitely recommend her class!

DEFINITELY made calculus seem way easier than it is through her amazing teaching techniques. All of my friends who had taken calculus the semester before terrified me because of how hard it is, but Dr. Crosby made sure everyone understood this difficult math course in the best way possible.

I took this class over the summer it was fast paced and a hw due the same day. She is a great teacher she tries to make you learn and participate by using the polls everywhere which is graded for participation as long as you participate it is an easy 100 for participation.

She explained everything so well and was so open to your questions! Absolutely wish I could take her class again!

Caylah Crosby was amazing! She is really good at teaching the material in her lectures and her practice quizzes/tests are just like the actual thing. She answers emails very fast and gives multiple opportunities for you to get the best grade you possibly can. As long as you come to class and do the homework, you should get an A. TAKE HER CLASS!

I actually can't stress enough what a wonderful professor Dr. Crosby was. She explains the concepts clearly so you learn then instead of just memorizing formulas. If you go to class and study the practice tests she gives you, you will get an A. Never got below a 96 on one of her tests just from studying the study guide. Will always highly recommend

Dr. Crosby helps you understand the material effectively. If you miss a day of class the lectures are posted online, but she randomly takes attendance for a great. I had this professor for calculus and learned a lot. It is a tough class but she really does help you through the material.

I hate math but this prof made it so much less painful. She is a great teacher, the only flaw is that she moves very fast due to a lack of time on the University's part. Notes are taken in the textbook, and all (LOTS) homework is on Hawkes. In-person paper tests. Go to class! Prof is so kind and even lets you retest if you have less than 3 absences

Just show up to class and everything will be smooth. She has great teaching skills and is always available when help is needed.

Dr. Crosby is a great math professor. Her lectures are very thorough and it is set up in a way where it can be understood. She is understanding and accessible outside of class, but be sure to attend class and do the homework, as they can pull your grade down quickly.

I really liked Professor Crosby. She was very clear when describing how to solve problems. I did pretty well in her class and got 80's+ on all tests excluding the final, and I am really bad at math. There are videos on canvas that can be of assistance outside of class, and she is quick to respond to emails. Study! The final lowered my grade a lot.

She is by far the best math teacher I have had in my life. She makes everything sound and look easy by dumbing it down. Although it is at 8 am I highly recommend taking her class because she is very knowledgeable. Her tests are super easy and her reviews match the test, she is very understanding and gives extra credit on all of her tests.

Genuinely one of the best professors I've ever had. Very clear lectures, reasonable homework and tests, offers office hours. Presented course material in an organized and well-paced way. Can be strict but was never unreasonable. Attendance is mandatory since she grades in class polls(10%). Usually 1-2 homework assignments a week(30%). 10/10 overall

Dr. Crosby is the best math professor in the math department at Charlotte. At first, it seems like you're in a kindergarten class, the way she lectures, but eventually, you are so grateful for her detailed explanations. She gives half credit if you show ur work on tests and get the answer wrong but the work is right. Love her. 1000/10 recommend!

Dr. Crosby is a really great professor. She makes calculus as easy as possible to understand. There are a couple of Hawkes assignments every week and a few tests. The tests are pretty similar to the practice tests she creates so just go to class and pay attention and do the practice tests and you'll be fine.

She is AMAZING!! I came in thinking statistics was going to be very hard, but her teaching style made it easy! She does most assignments in class with you and prepares you for exams very well!

Dr. Crosby taught at a level that everyone could understand. She was always happy to clarify the material. 3 exams are very similar to the questions we do in class. She may be a little strict and stern sometimes but she means well. I would definitely take her for Calc.

BEST PROFESSOR for math. She makes the math easy to understand and breaks it down to help you. She is also funny because she will say stuff but no one notices. Concepts are not hard to understand but a study group may be the best to get a good handle of the material.

I really suck at math, and she made this class as easy as she could. I landed with a C because I am not great at math and it doesn't click for me, but she is not the reason why. She was super open to answering questions, preps you well for her exams, and goes over the material thoroughly. though attendance isn't required, it helps to go.

If you're someone who struggles in math like myself this is the best class for you! Subjects gone over many different times via video lecture, hands on Realizeit assignments, and in class guided practice. You are also given extra time on assignments! I highly highly recommend this teacher!

When I say Dr. Crosby is the best professor/teacher I've ever had in my educational career, I TRULY mean that. Breaks everything down so you can understand and doesn't use heavy math jargon. She teaches like she is talking to beginners, which we are, doesn't assume we know everything. Homework/Group work was easy and related closely to exams.

She is really good! I'm not great at math, but taking her class, attending regularly, and paying attention made a big difference. If you stay engaged, you can do well. After each chapter, the Hawkes homework is due in two days, but there isn't too much homework. As long as you pay attention, the class is very manageable

Dr. Crosby made calculus feel like basic algebra! All you have to do is GO TO CLASS, take notes and you will do just fine. She sends out weekly course reminders so there is never an excuse to not finish the hawkes, practice tests, or quizzes.

Explains concepts very thoroughly and the Hawkes homeworks aren't too difficult. The class isn't too fast-paced so if you show up and follow along with the guided notes, it's not too bad. Definitely pay attention to due dates because some assignments don't offer late credit.

I absolutely love the way she teaches. She'll teach a little bit with the guided notes, do some poll everywhere's, teach more, and then a group work activity that she will happily help you on. She explains very well, actually prepares us for tests, and doesn't have surprises up her sleeve for those tests.

This is the ONLY professor you should be taking for ANY math course. Dr. Crosby was excellent, she dumbs down the material and explains very well so that you don't get lost. She cares about her students success and I wouldn't have excelled in this course without her! She is literally the best, she deserves her flowers!!!

She is so sweet! I did not classes much but she posts her lectures and what I learned in class stuck with me. She teaches the topics well and allows you to redo a test at the end of the semester if your attendance is good! ( i did not get it but that's my fault lol). Def recommend!

Take detailed notes on what she says in class, do the homework (it helps with learning the material), and pay attention in class. I'm usually a B-C student when it comes to math, and this is the first math class I EVER got an A in. Take this class!

Great professor! She's very straightforward and will make certain content digestible so you can understand it. When working on group projects, she gives great feedback and will enhance your project idea. Her practice tests are accurate and are similar to the actual statistics exams. Some exams are harder than others, but the class was a breeze.

She also provides study guides specific to the tests she makes, so you can feel really comfortable going into them. Dr. Crosby is amazing; all her lectures helped me learn the material so well. She does assign homework for each lesson, but they are not hard at all, and completing them gives you a 100, which is a nice grade boost. She is always willing to answer questions, and I would highly recommend taking a course with her.
